Abstract

The aims of these research are about the language slogan at the banner media in the Campus Area of Veteran Bangun Nusantara University of Sukoharjo are (a) to describe the language slogan using the thematic acpects, (b) to describe the language slogan constructing the grammatical based on ideological perspectives: (i) transitivity, (ii) active passive forms, (iii) positive-negative forms, (iv) declarative, interrogative, imperative modus, (v) relational modality, (vi) personal pronoun, and (vii) expressive modality. This research uses the qualitative approach. Data are the slogan texts in the Veteran Bangun Nusantara University of Sukoharjo, at, February to June 2014. Data are text units. Data collecting instrument is the matrix form for the data generating. Data analysis uses the inventory, classify, and reflect-interpretative procedures. The result can be concluded (1) the language slogan at the banner media in the area of Veteran Bantara University of Sukoharjo from the thematic perspective addressed to the universal character public; (2) the language slogan constructed from the grammatical based on ideological perspectives (a) the transitivity systems are from the process, participant, and circumstance aspects indicate that textual effect is not strict in the actional language; (b) the choice active passive sentence compress to value of sympatic responses to natural procedural based on passive position; (c) the choice of active passive sentence indicates the strict of admission; (d) the choice of declarative modus(indicative)gives the practical expressive of authoritative power; (e) the choice of relational modality appears to the expression of obligation; (f) the choice of pronominal persona uses mechanical utensils of non ideogical, the ideology also to get on solidarity-inclusive ideological, (g) the choice of expression modality shows certainty for a reality proposition

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam pengajaran sastra, yaitu belum tercapainya apresiasi sastra merupakan pekerjaan rumah yang belum terselesaikan. Permasalahan kehidupan dan kebudayaan pun bersamaan lahir dengan kondisi pengajaran sastra yang belum optimal. Sehubungan dengan hal itu, diperlukan teknik/metode kreatif untuk pengajaran teks sastra sehingga memberikan rangsangan makna pada diri pelajar. Akan tetapi, kekayaan dan upaya memperkaya guru terhadap penge­tahuan dan imajinasi merupakan kunci penting teroptimalisasi model-model kreatif alternatif.

Abstract

Novel Biola Tak Berdawai juga berbicara tentang fenomena yang terjadi di masyarakat. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini menjelaskan arti dari simbol karakter utama (Tuhan) dalam novel Biola Tak Berdawai Seno Gumira Ajidarma melalui ulasan Semiotika. Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif, dengan metode kualitatif, serta menggunakan pendekatan semiotik. Jelas objek penelitian ini adalah novel Biola Tak Berdawai Seno Gumira Ajidarma. Ada tiga tahap pengumpulan data, tahap analisis data, dan presentasi tahap data. Data yang ditemukan dalam bentuk simbol dari tokoh utama dalam novel Biola Tak Berdawai. Sehingga pada tahap analisis data yang akan diperiksa adalah simbol khusus dari karakter utama (Allah). presentasi tahap data secara deskriptif. Berdasarkan penelitian yang melambangkan karakter utama (Tuhan) dalam novel Biola Tak Berdawai secara umum ada lima, yaitu 1) melambangkan sosok dewa seperti Sukasrana di dunia pedalangan, karena karakter Tuhan bertentangan novel ini untuk para dewa umum dikenal masyarakat atau para dewa di dunia pedalangan, bahkan lebih seperti sosok dewa Sukasrana cerita wayang; 2) Angka-angka yang melambangkan dewa seperti ulat, kepompong dan kupu-kupu; 3) tokoh dewa dilambangkan sebagai kerang; 4) Sosok dewa disebut sebagai boneka, (mainan anak-anak); 5) Angka dewa disamakan tanpa biola senar, karena ia tidak mampu mengungkapkan apa yang dirasakan oleh tubuh. Simbol kelima menyiratkan tentang nilai-nilai kehidupan, dan memberikan motivasi yang sangat berarti.

Abstract

This research were aims to describe the things as follows. First, the ability to write a short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Numbered Head Together type. Second, the ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Think Pair Share type. Third, the difference in ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by cooperative approach Numbered Head Together and Think Pair Share type. This research was quantitative with descriptive method of quasi experimental research design. Sampling was done by using simple random sampling technique. In this research, class VII.3 was assigned as experiment class I which amounted to 32 students and VII.5 as experiment class II which amounted to 30 students. Data collected by using performance test writing short story text. The results of this study are as follows. First, the ability to write a short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Numbered Head Together type was 89,58. Second, the ability to write short story text students of class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by using cooperative approach Think Pair Share type was 81,48. Third, there was a significant difference in ability to write short story text of students in class VII SMP Negeri 12 Padang taught by cooperative approach Numbered Head Together and Think Pair Share type.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe language acquisition in the phonology. The method of the research was a qualitative descriptive by observation and technique of noting. The data source of the research was a record of voice of a three year four month year old child named Wesly when singing two songs of children movie shows of "Tayo" and "Rainbow Ruby." The result of the research showed that the child has been able to speak the understandable language. On the other hand, there were still some difficulties in pronouncing the correct and good phoneme. They could be seen in the difficulty of 1) phoneme pronunciation on consonant-type plosive sound; 2) phoneme pronunciation on vowel sound. There were seven forms of plosive sound for the difficulty of phoneme pronunciation of the consonant plosive sound, such as: 1) bilabial, 2) lamino-palatal, 3) apico-alveolar, 4) , 5) dorso velar, 6) alveolar, and 7) lamino-patal. In addition, there was one form of sound for the difficulty of phoneme pronunciation of the vowel sound namely the diphthong phoneme.Keywords: Language, Language Acquisition, Phonology.

Abstract

This study aims to improve writing skills using the impromptu game writer’s method. This type of research is action research. The research subjects were grade IV students at SD Negeri 006. The research instruments used were observation sheets and performance tests. The results showed that the character activity of students in the first cycle was in the sufficient category and the second cycle was in the good category. Furthermore, student learning outcomes in writing skills experienced a significant increase, namely pre-cycle with a class average of 62.76, cycle I with a class average of 68.71, and cycle II with a class average of 82.14. It was concluded that the method of the game's impromptu writers could improve writing and character skills in students.

Abstract

Kebudayaan ketoprak merupakan salah satu kesenian yang melekat dalam kehidupan masyarakat selain wayang kulit dan wayang orang. Ketoprak adalah suatu bentuk seni pertunjukan tradisional yang mengangkat cerita sehari-hari, cerita-cerita rakyat yang ada di Jawa dalam bentuk sajian drama dengan dialog bahasa Jawa dan diiringi gamelan. Cerita yang dibawakan seperti cerita babad, sejarah, dan cerita-cerita asing yang berasal dari Arab (seribu satu malam) dan cina. Ketoprak digunakan sebagai wahana pendidikan karakter yang bertujuan untuk mengembalikan roh budaya Jawa di antara generasi muda yang saat ini dinilai semakin pudar. Mayoritas remaja lebih menggemari budaya praktis atau instan. Remaja semakin tidak mengenal sopan-santun dan tata karma. Ketoprak perlu dikenalkan kepada generasi muda untuk membentuk karakter karena kaya akan nilai budaya Jawa seperti tata krama, sopan santun, dan hormat kepada orang tua. Oleh sebab itu, budaya ketoprak mempunyai peran penting dalam penanaman pendidikan karakter. Ketoprak sebagai media pendidikan karakter dapat dilihat dari dialog-dialog (bahasa) yang digunakan dalam ketoprak dan dilihat dari cerita yang terkandung dalam ketoprak.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan data empiris kohesi gramatikal konjungsi wacana kolom “Hikmah” surat kabar Republika dan untuk melihat kekohesifan wacana kolom “Hikmah” surat kabar Republika dari aspek kohesi gramatikal konjungsi. Metode penelitian adalah metode studi analisis isi. Data dalam bentuk dua puluh lima judul wacana kolom “Hikmah” yang terbit pada bulan Agustus 2015 dipilih secara acak dari 286 judul wacana. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan studi pustaka, yaitu dengan melakukan penelitian dan pengumpulan data ke Pusat data harian umum Republika pada 13 April 2016. Langkah-langkah analisis data dilakukan dengan menentukan teks, dekontekstualisasi, menentukan pasangan berdekatan, menulis pasangan, analisis masing-masing pasangan, rekapitulasi, dan mendeskripsikan hasil analisis. Penelitian dilakukan pada 20 Mare t--29 Juni 2016.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dari 124 pasangan kalimat yang diteliti, 44 atau 35,5% pasangan kalimat wacana kolom “Hikmah” menggunakan konjungsi antarkalimat dengan rincian 16 atau 12,9% pasangan kalimat menggunakan konjungsi antarkalimat yang menyatakan hubungan aditif, 10 atau 8,1% menggunakan konjungsi yang menyatakan hubungan adversatif, 9 atau 7,3% menggunakan konjungsi mengekspresikan hubungan kausal, dan 9 atau 7,3% menggunakan konjungsi yang menyatakan hubungan temporal.

Abstract

Writing skills is activities of language serves to produce  written language. Writing can improve intelligence, develop initiative, creativity,, stimulate the willingness and ability to gather information. Students' skills in short stories writing activities is still lacking. This things because teachers use less attractive media. Thus, this study uses audio media to increase students' interest in writing. This study aimed to describe the shost story intrinsic elements and the use of capital letters in Creative Short Story Writing Skills Using Media Audio Class XII SMAN I Payakumbuh District.This research is a quantitative research using descriptive method. The study population class XII students totaling 217 consists of 8 classes. Writer to perform sampling with random random sampling techniques. The instrument of this study is to test performance. Data analysis  in the study: to check the results to write short stories, analyze the data and provide a score based on indicators, and put forward the test results to the classification skills by using a scale of 10.Results showed that  average value of 90.8 are in the range of 86-95% with good qualification. Creative writing skills are evaluated from two short stories specified indicators are: (1) short story creative writing skills in terms of the intrinsic elements of the short story is the 100 that are in the range of 96-100% with impeccable qualifications; (2) The short story creative writing skills in terms of capitalization was 80.8% are in the 76-85 range with good qualifications. Thus, we can conclude the students are already capable in writing short stories as well as the use of capital letters in writing.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to analyze the literary criticism through mimetic approach on short stories Ibu Pergi ke Laut by Puthut EA and explain the relevance with learning literature in Elementary school. This research is descriptive qualitative study. Data collection techniques used is book research, check out, and record. Data analysis technique used is the analysis of dialectical data. Novel Ibu Pergi ke Laut is based on the real story of tsunami in Aceh on December 26, 2004. Most of the data is similar to the data which the truth of the fact can be proved because the story is really happened and reflected the real experienced by either the victim or the family at that time. This short story can be used by the students as literature learning materials in primary schools which the story was taken from others' experience reflected how to face a problem in life.
