Abstract

Semakin tingginya tingkat pendidikan perempuan dan banyaknya perempuan pekerja sektor formal, meningkatkan jumlah keluarga LDM. Kondisi suami-istri sebagai pekerja publik ini merubah model relasi dalam pembagian peran keluarga. Penelitian etnografi yang menggunakan metode deskriptif analitik ini bertujuan untuk mencari model relasi suami-istri dual career dalam LDM melalui tiga aspek, yaitu: pembagian pekerjaan rumahtangga, penafkahan, dan pengambilan keputusan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa etnografi keluarga pelaku LDM dari aspek ideologis dan praktik antara konstruksi dan pelaksanaan pembagian peran suami-istri mengalami inkonsistensi. Konstruksi mengenai peran laki-laki dan perempuan dalam keluarga LDM masih menunjukkan kuatnya pengaruh budaya patriarkhi dan ideologi familialisme dengan pola relasi head-complement. Namun pada tataran praktik,  pembagian pekerjaan rumahtangga dalam keluarga LDM dilakukan dengan lebih fleksibel, dengan pola relasi head-complement,  senior-junior partner, equal partner. Sementara itu, dalam aspek penafkahan dan pengambilan keputusan, model relasi yang terbangun dalam keluarga LDM merupakan implikasi perubahan sosial-budaya, tuntutan pekerjaan publik, dan faktor tingginya pendidikan perempuan. Meskipun secara ideologis masih tampak kuatnya pengaruh patriarkhi dan ideologi familialisme, namun pada tataran praktik aspek penafkahan dan pengambilan keputusan dalam keluarga LDM lebih dominan pada pola relasi senior-junior partner dan equal partner.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan pengaruh ajaran Sunan Geseng bagi kehidupan keagamaan masyarakat di wilayah Grabag Magelang. Sunan Geseng adalah seorang tokoh agama atau disebut wali yang menyebarkan agama Islam di wilayah Grabag, Kabupaten Magelang yang sampai sekarang ajaran-ajarannya masih dilaksanakan oleh masyarakat di wilayah Grabag, yang diwujudkan dalam kehidupan keagamaan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat di wilayah komplek makam Sunan Geseng. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan mengadopsi pola studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan beberapa fakta tentang kuatnya pengaruh ajaran Sunan Geseng terhadap kehidupan masyarakat Grabag Magelang. Contohnya, makam Sunan Geseng yang digunakan sebagai tempat wisata spiritual keagamaan, yang banyak dikunjungi  para peziarah. Selain itu ada tradisi selikuran yang dilaksanakan setahun sekali pada malam ke-21 bulan Ramadhan di kompleks makam Sunan Geseng. Juga masih terdapat kegiatan keagamaan masyarakat yang menganut ajaran Sunan Geseng seperti tradisi slametan, gendurenan, methoan, dan tradisi-tradisi yang lainnya. Hal lain yang menarik adalah banyak pondok pesantren yang sistem pengelolaan maupun pengajarannya serupa dengan pondok pesantren rintisan Sunan Geseng. Hal ini membuktikan teori sentimen kemasyarakatan yang menyatakan bahwa peristiwa sejarah masa lampau dan peninggalan-peninggalan Sunan Geseng menjadi dasar sentimen kemasyarakatan.The objective of this research is to describe the influence of Sunan Geseng religious teachings on the society of Grabag, Magelang. Sunan Geseng is a religious figure or called wali who spreaded Islam in Grabag region, Magelang. His religious teachings are still implemented and hold by the society in Grabag region, living in  Sunan Geseng cemetary area. The method used in this study is a qualitative research which also adopted the pattern of case study. Data was collected through interview and observation. Research results show the strong influence of Sunan Geseng’s religious teaching is apparent in Grabag, Magelang. Among the indicators are the use of Sunan Geseng’s cemetery as spiritual tourism site visited by people from many area. There is also selikuran tradition held annually at the 21st night of Ramadhan in Sunan Geseng cemetery area. There are also other rituals like slametan, gendurenan, and methoan. Another interesting thing is that many boarding schools still adopt the management system or learning process like those of Sunan Geseng. All of this enforce the society sentiment theory stating that historical memory in the the past and Sunan Geseng heritages are fondation for society sentiment.

Abstract

AbstractDetermination of the Ruteng Recreation Nature Park had caused conflicts over tenure for Colol custom community have been in and around the area since before the establishment. Conflict was due for  access to agricultural land use and timber had closed by the management. The conflict resolution involves three elements, namely the government, customs and religion which are called the three pillars. This study aims to understand the stages of the tenure conflict, relevant stakeholders and the conflict resolution. The study was conducted Colol village in April to May 2016. Acquisition of data using observation, in-depth interviews with a purposive and snowball and secondary data. Analysis of data using conflict tree analysis, stakeholders and mapping conflicts. The results showed that the cause of the conflict is the difference in value systems that implicates disagreement land status and boundaries as well as the uncertainty of access due to rights issues and access. Conflict resolution is required is to build trust between the parties, improve communication to reduce the differences in perception, increased involvement of indigenous peoples in the management of Ruteng Recreation Park, reconstruction of recreation park boundaries involving the parties, especially the major stakeholders and optimizing the coordination and communication between the parties.Colol Custom Community determine their traditional territory option to pull out of the Ruteng Recreation Park.

Abstract

The art of Buraq is a procession of puppet which has beautiful female face with winged-horse body and dance to the music of Genjring and tambourine. This traditional art is one of the dominant arts that becomes one cultural identity of the people in Brebes District, located in the west of the northern coast of Java island, Central Java Province. This study aims to study the aesthetic form, function and symbolic values of Buroq, as well as the system of relationship patterns among actors, Buroq puppets, and the audience. The result of the research shows that the rise of Buroq art stems from the Isra’-Mi’raj ‘ trip of Prophet Muhammad by using the vehicle named Buroq. It is narrated that Buraq is like a winged-horse with a beautiful woman face who can move with lightning speed as a vehicle in the Isra’-Mi’raj journey of the Prophet Muhammad. This story is the primary source of inspiration for local artists to express aesthetic-symbolic in accordance with the imagination they possess in the form of acculturation that combines elements of Javanese, Chinese, and Islamic cultural symbols. As Islamic-based traditional arts of community, Buroq with all the uniqueness of its physical form not only has functions and values in the grandeur of Islam which awakens and strengthens the cultural awareness among residents to act and behave in accordance with the teaching of Islam in coastal Javanese Islamic culture but also has the functionality and entertainment value for the multicultural community.

Abstract

Peran perempuan  pada bidang pertanian memiliki kontribusi yang cukup banyak, khususnya pada peningkatan ekonomi keluarga. Tetapi peran ini tidak diimbangi dengan kesempatan dan kewenangan mereka terhadap sumber-sumber pertanian serta fasilitas publik lainnya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan tentang akses dan kontrol perempuan petani penggarap pada lahan PTPN IX Kebun Merbuh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa akses dan kontrol perempuan petani penggarap pada lahan PTPN IX masih lemah jika dibandingkan dengan laki-laki, meski mereka memainkan banyak peran domestik dan publik. Kondisi ini membuat perempuan masih terpinggirkan dalam produski pertanian serta masih mengalami beban ganda dalam kehidupan mereka. The contribution of women in agriculture is significant, especially in the economy of the family. However, this important contribution is not matched by the equal opportunity and access to the agricultural resources and other public facilities. In this paper, I seek to explore women’s access to and control of tenant farmers on the land PTPN IX Kebun Merbuh. The method used in this study is a qualitative method; data are collected through observation and interviews. The results show that women’s access to and control of tenant farmers on the land PTPN IX is still weak, compared with men, though they play many important domestic and public roles. As a result, these women are still marginalized in agricultural production and are still experiencing double burden in their lives.

Abstract

Each tribe in Indonesia has certain local wisdom to conserve their environment, including managing water resources. The purpose of this research is to identify the local wisdom of Osing people in conserving water resources in Kemiren, Glagah Sub-District, Banyuwangi. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The data are taken through interview, observation and documentation. The local wisdom of Osing people in managing water resources involves knowledge, values, moral and ethics, and norms, which are applied in forms of suggestions, rules and sanctions, and also old sayings as a guideline for them to behave and act in maintaining, keeping and conserving Mbah Buyut Citi water spring. To keep a constant flow of water debit, they protect trees and plants around the spring (belik), both belik lanang and belik wadon. In maintaining this local culture, the older generations pass on the values, moral, ethics, and norms including Islamic norms (most of them are Moslem) as the guidelines on how to behave and act in practicing the traditions and instincts for respecting the environment to their family, neighbours, relatives and children-grandchildren.Masing-masing suku di Indonesia memiliki kearifan lokal tertentu untuk melestarikan lingkungan mereka, termasuk kearifan untuk mengelola sumber daya air. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kearifan lokal masyarakat Osing dalam melestarikan sumber daya air di Kemiren, Kecamatan Glagah, Banyuwangi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Data diambil melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Kearifan lokal masyarakat Osing dalam mengelola sumber daya air meliputi pengetahuan, nilai-nilai, moral dan etika, dan norma-norma yang diterapkan dalam bentuk saran, aturan dan sanksi, serta kata-kata bijak sebagai pedoman bagi mereka untuk bersikap dan bertindak dalam menjaga, menjaga dan melestarikan mata air Mbah Buyut Citi. Untuk menjaga aliran konstan debit air, mereka melindungi pohon-pohon dan tanaman di sekitar musim semi (belik), baik belik lanang dan wadon belik. Dalam mempertahankan budaya lokal ini, generasi tua mewariskan nilai-nilai, moral, etika, dan norma-norma termasuk norma-norma Islam (kebanyakan dari mereka adalah Muslim) sebagai pedoman tentang bagaimana bersikap dan bertindak dalam menjalankan tradisi dan naluri untuk menghormati lingkungan untuk keluarga mereka, tetangga, kerabat dan anak-cucu.

Abstract

Indonesia’s human quality is relatively low. Based on the 2017 Human Development Report, the number of the Indonesian Human Development Index (HDI) or Human Development Index (HDI) is 70.81. In detail, the index number is a composite of life expectancy at birth of 70.90 years, Number of Expectations for School Length 12.72 Years, Average School Length 7.95 years, and expenditure per capita Rp. 10,420,000, -. The aim of this paper is analyzing poverty reduction efforts in Grobogan Regency in 2018. Has poverty allieviation been carried out by the Government of Grobogan Regency already taken into account the interests and needs of men and women proportionally? Based on the analysis above, it can be concluded that poverty reduction in Grobogan District has not maximally taken into account the interests of women and men proportionally. In the economic field, women’s ability to access capital has not run smoothly, because some savings and loan businesses managed by women have not run smoothly. In the field of education, women still lag behind men in indicators of long-term school expectations. Likewise the condition of women’s education is still lagging behind that of men, which has an impact on the opportunity to get decent income. Women’s income is lower than that of men. In the field of health and clean water women are still vulnerable to maternal mortality and environmental hygiene.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian adalah menganalisis pengaruh modal sosial terhadap kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga di daerah perdesaan Kabupaten Kerinci. Desain penelitian adalah cross sectional. Penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Kerinci dengan memilih dua kecamatan, yaitu: Kecamatan Keliling Danau, dan Kecamatan Batang Merangin. Waktu penelitian secara keseluruhan dilakukan dari bulan Juni sampai dengan bulan Nopember 2012. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 132 keluarga atau 10 persen dari populasi (1.316 keluarga) yang diambil secara berturut-turut dengan cara cluster, purposive, dan simple random sampling. Variabel penelitian: (1) kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga (kesejahteraan objektif, dan kesejahteraan subjektif, dan (2) Modal sosial (asosiasi lokal dan karakter masyarakat). Analisis data menggunakan model Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) melalui program LISREL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modal sosial (asosiasi lokal dan karakter masyarakat) responden tergolong kuat. Mengacu kepada alokasi pengeluaran, tingkat ekonomi petani di daerah penelitian tergolong relatif kaya dengan distribusi keluarga yang tergolong pada kelompok sejahtera mencapai 78,8 persen, sedangkan kelompok miskin hanya 21,2 persen. Modal sosial (asosiasi lokal dan karakter masyarakat) baik secara langsung maupun tidak langsung berpengaruh positif sangat nyata terhadap kesejahteraan ekonomi keluarga. The objectives of this study is to analyze the effect of social capital on family economic well-being in rural areas of Kerinci regency. The research design is cross sectional and was carried out  in Batang Merangin and Keliling Danau districts from June to Nopember 2012. Variables used are social capital (local associations and community character), and family economic well-being  both objective and subjective economic well-being. 132 household samples are chosen using cluster, purposive and random sampling methods. Data were collected using survay, indepth interview, and Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Descriptive,  and  Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) models were used for data analyzed. The results show that social capital (local associations and community character) contained in the study area as strong. Referring to the allocation of family expenditure, the economic level of family in the study area are relatively wealthy families with distributions belonging to the prosperous group reached 78.8 percent, while only the poor families  as much as 21.2 percent. Social capital (local associations and community character) both directly and indirectly has a significant effect on family economic well-being.

Abstract

This article aims at explaining the directive speech acts realization on QA sessions of a dialogic situated communication. The directive speech requires a communicative counterpart (to do something as the speaker’s wishes) by his/her words. Under the Sociopragmatic is the crossdisciple study between the pragmatic and sociological disciplines. The data were obtained by applying methods of observation and recording. The data source of this study took the Islamic liturgical dialogues dakwah held by both Islamic organizations and Islamic sermons held at schools, homes, or mosques. The result shows that, in terms of the communicative functions, the directive speech acts were realized from the acts of suggesting, and warning, a da’i or preachers are adhering to the principle of harmony as reflected from their commitment towards the observed maxims of kurmat, andhap asor and the tepa slilra.

Abstract

Masyarakat Kedungbanteng memanfaatkan Waduk Cacaban sebagai tempat kegiatan wirausaha. Masyarakat bergerak dalam bidang sektor informal karena dalam wilayah tersebut dimungkinkan hanya bermodalkan ketrampilan dan pendidikan yang minim. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis profil dan aktivitas pedagang di Waduk Cacaban yang sering tanpa ijin pemerintah. Penelitian dilakukan dengan observasi mendalam dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan masyarakat Kedungbanteng berdagang di Waduk Cacaban karena suatu anggapan bahwa Waduk Cacaban merupakan tanah warisan nenek moyang yang digunakan untuk tujuan kesejahteraan hidup mereka. Oleh karena itu, masyarakat merasa tidak memerlukan ijin resmi dari pihak pengelola Waduk ketika mereka membuka tempat usaha di waduk tersebut. Ketika petugas menertibkan keberadaan para pedagang, terkadang mereka tidak mengindahkan hal tersebut. Karena anggapan tersebut, ada pula keyakinan kalau ada orang dari luar daerah Kedungbanteng yang berjualan di tempat tersebut, usahanya tidak lancar dan akhirnya harus gulung tikar. Hal tersebut menujukan adanya kekuatan budaya dalam masyarakat bahwa Waduk Cacaban merupakan sebuah tempat yang diwariskan nenek moyang mereka khusus untuk masyarakat Kedungbanteng.Kedungbanteng community makes Cacaban Dam as a place of entrepreneurial activity. The community is engaged in informal sector where they only need minimal skills and education. The purpose of this study is to analyze the profile and activity in of merchants in Cacaban Dam who often do business without government approval. The study was conducted through in-depth observations and interviews. The results show the trade in Cacaban Reservoir occurred because of a presumption that the reservoir Cacaban is a heritage land used for the purpose of the welfare of the Kedungbanteng community. Therefore, people feel they do not require official permission from the management of the reservoir when they open a place of business in these reservoirs. When government officer disciplined the traders, sometimes they do not heed it. Because of these assumptions, there is also a belief that there are people from outside the area that sell in Cacaban dam will not  be smooth and finally had to go out of business. The case studies illustrates the force of culture in human life.
