Abstract

Exercise is physical stress which potentially causes disruption of homeostasis, especially in sports that is excessively done. Weight Training (LB) and Aquarobic Exercise (LA) can be modulators of handling stress. This research aims at investigating the effect of the difference between LB and LA to physical stress in obese women. The study was conducted in 2014. The method used in this study was randomized experimental pretest-posttest control group design in 36 obese women, aged 45-50 years who were divided into 3 groups, group LB 50% RM, 3 sets, 12 repetition, treatment two times a day for 8 weeks (n = 12), LA 75% HRmax, treatment 2 days for 8 weeks (n = 12) and control group (n = 12). Body Mass Index (BMI) and cortisol levels were measured before and after the treatment. Hypothesis testing was conducted using test (One-Way ANOVA and Kruskal-Wallis) and the mean difference test (Tukey HSD and Mann Whitney’s). The results of BMI is increased in the WT group and is decreased in LA group as compared to control group (p <0.05). The decrease of cortisol level is higher than in LA and LB group and controls (p <0.05). LB and LA affect the physical stress that is characterized by the increase in cortisol levels in obese women. Conclusion: LB is more dominant than LA in increasing physical stress.

Abstract

Since BOK was launched in 2010, BOK utilization rate continued to increase while the NTT provincial nutrition service coverage did not increase, until 2013. This research aimed to analyze the relationship between the availability of operational funds, the availability of human resources, officer’s knowledge, infrastructure support, heads support and the appropriateness of fund utilization using BOK in nutritional services. This was a quantitative research which supported by a qualitative, cross-sectional design in 2015. The total sample of 250 health workers in 26 health centers of North Central Timor regency was included in this study. Data analysis was done using descriptive, bivariate and multivariate analyses. The results of the bivariate analysis using chi square test showed an association of (p <0.05) the availability of human resources (p = 0.017), officer’s knowledge (p = 0.000), infrastructure support (p = 0.004), heads support (p = 0.000) and the appropriateness of BOK fund utilization (p = 0.000) with the use of BOK in nutritional services. Meanwhile, the availability of operational funds is not associated with the use of BOK in nutritional services. Multivariate analysis showed that health centers with adequate human resources availability are seven times more likely to take advantage and make a good use of the nutritional services using BOK compared to health centers with the lack of human resources, after the infrastructure and head variable controlled. The government is required to provide adequate human resources, including financial administrative personnel and operational funding for health centers to optimize nutritional services. The government also needs to monitor the use of funds regularly and tiered to improve service coverage at the health center.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the prevalence of malaria and Anopheles spp using bio-ecology surveillance in Alusi and Waturu community health centers in Maluku Tenggara Barat Regency. The study was conducted in March-April 2015 with cross sectional design. In this research, we performed mass blood survey on 489 participants in the Kilmasa village and 434 participants in Waturu village. We also performed entomology surveillances, i.e. larval density, catching Anopheles spp, temperature, humidity, and salinity. To confirm malaria vectors, we used enzyme linked immunoabsorbent assay (ELISA) techniques. The data analyzed descriptively. The results of the study showed proportion 0.20% malaria morbidity in Kilmasa village and 0.23% in Waturu village. Anopheles flavirostris and An. barbirostris group were likely to bite a human outside and inside the house and peaked at 11.00 pm-12.00 pm. The parous rate of An. flavirostris and An. barbirostris was 46% and 26%, respectively. Human blood index of An.flavirostris and An. barbirostris was 33.3% and by 70%, respectively. Anopheles flavirostri and An. barbirostris were malaria vectors with sporozoite rate 0.38% and 12.5%, respectively.

Abstract

The implementation of credentialing program in JKN is different from the previous era, particularly for new medical facilities and medical provider of PT. Jamsostek and ASABRI. Therefore, this study aims at finding out the description associated with the process of credentialing implementation of the first-level health facilities from the perspective of PPK 1 and BPJS Kesehatan, Denpasar Branch. This research was conducted in January 2014 using qualitative approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews to 11 medical facilities, as well as 2 executive credentialing teams from BPJS Kesehatan, Denpasar Branch. The subjects were selected purposively and the data was analyzed using thematic analysis. There are still some obstacles in the implementation of such credentialing program: there are still existing providers, especially TNI/Polri, which have the value below standard but are still contracted to serve JKN participants because the number is still relatively small. The new medical facilities have difficulty in self-assessment because there are many indicators that must be met, but the budget is limited. The study concludes that credentialing program has not yet fully applied the concept of managed care, thus regular monitoring to improve medical quality is needed.

Abstract

Inorganic waste management through Malang Waste Bank (BSM) is expected to reduce the risk of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). However, the number of neighborhood groups (RT) which become BSM participant varies. The problem is whether or not this variation will result in different entomology of mosquito larvae indexes. The purpose of this study is to prove the role of inorganic waste management to the risk of DHF transmission. Longitudinal survey was conducted weekly for 4 months in 2013 in six villages with the highest dengue cases in the city of Malang. Villages were classified into 3 types of membership of Malang Waste Bank (BSM). The result shows that the number of controllable containers is more than disposable container. Kruskal Wallis test mentions that the House Index (HI), Breteau Index (BI), Container Index (CI), and Density Index (DI) of the three villages are significantly different (p <0.05), while MI is not different. MI is related to all of mosquito larvae entomological indexes except with HI. Therefore, it can be concluded that the level of cleanliness of an area (MI) can be an indicator of the high index of mosquito larvae entomological indexes.
