Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah metode discovery learning berbantuan video berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar kimia siswa SMA. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah desain pre-experimental, dengan bentuk static group comparison. Sampel sejumlah empat puluh siswa diambil dari populasi siswa kelas XI SMA di Semarang menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes, observasi, dan angket. Analisis data menggunakan uji korelasi biserial (r­b). Jumlah persen besarnya pengaruh ditentukan melalui harga koefisien determinasi rb2 x 100%. Hasil dari penelitian diperoleh rata-rata nilai posttest kelas eksperimen 85,60 dan kelas kontrol 78,80. Hasil uji hipotesis terhadap nilai posttest diperoleh harga rb sebesar 0,42 yang berarti memiliki tingkat hubungan sedang. Harga koefisien determinasi rb2 x 100%, sehingga besarnya pengaruh metode discovery learning berbantuan video terhadap hasil belajar sebesar 17,64%. Hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotorik kelas eksperimen mencapai kriteria baik hingga sangat baik dan presentase banyaknya siswa yang mencapai kriteria baik hingga sangat baik lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa metode discovery learning berbantuan video berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa SMA.

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research that aims to improve the students' chemistry result of grade XI of SMA YPPGI GERADUS ADII Merauke on the subject of chemical bond through concept map media. The research was conducted at SMA YPPGI GERADUS ADII Merauke in the odd semester of the academic year 2016/2017. The sample in this research is 14 students of class XI. The research procedure consists of 4 stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection which is done by 2 cycles. Data analysis techniques are quantitative data (Percentage of Completed Learning) and qualitative data (Percentage of Teacher Skills, Student Activity, and Student Attitude).The results showed that the percentage of learning achievement on prasiklus is 00.00%, on cycle I is 35.71%, and on cycle II is 85.71%. Percentage of teacher skill in cycle I is 77,78% in good category and cycle II is 86,11% in very good category. Percentage of student activity in cycle I is 68,08% and cycle II is 76,56% both are in good category. Percentage of student attitudes in cycle I is 50.89% and in cycle II is 75.00%. In conclusion there is an increase in chemistry learning achievement through the concept map media on the subject matter of chemical bonds in grade XI SMA YPPGI GERADUS ADII MERAUKE.

Abstract

Pembelajaran kimia erat kaitannya dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan hal yang berkenaan dengan kearifan lokal atau lebih dikenal dengan etnosains. Perubahan kurikulum menuntut adanya perubahan orientasi dalam evaluasi atau penilaian. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tes bermuatan etnosains untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi hidrolisis garam. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Research and Development (R & D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penelitian ini menghasilkan instrumen tes bermuatan etnosains untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang terdiri dari 14 butir soal yang dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Reliabilitas naskah soal diperoleh menggunakan rumus KR-21 dengan harga reliabilitas sebesar 0,7625. Jenis instrumen tes yang dikembangkan berupa soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Konteks etnosains sesuai dengan kebudayaan masyarakat Demak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa instrumen tes efektif untuk mengukur kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa karena dapat mengkategorikan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa menjadi lebih dari 3 kategori. Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dapat dikategorikan menjadi 4 kategori yaitu tinggi, sedang, rendah, dan sangat rendah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan, dan respon siswa pada Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang dikembangkan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) dengan rancangan “one group pretest-posttest design”. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MIA MAN Bawu Jepara Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 2 dengan 34 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar wawancara, lembar validasi produk, lembar angket respon siswa, lembar angket respon guru, lembar validasi perangkat pembelajaran, lembar soal evaluasi, lembar pengamatan afektif dan psikomotorik. Analisis data observasi menggunakan Inter Reters Reliability, sedangkan analisis data angket menggunakan a-Cronbach. Hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis soal evaluasi pre-test dan post-test meningkat diperoleh rerata N-gain ³ 0,70 dengan rata-rata nilai pre-test 23,97 dan rata-rata nilai post-test 81,47. Rerata penilaian afektif siswa “sangat baik” dan psikomotorik siswa “baik”. Hasil uji t menunjukkan bahwa t hitung > t (0,05)(66) yaitu 30,40 > 1,66. Hal  ini menandakan bahwa LKPD berbasis inkuiri terbimbing efektif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 3 Temanggung dan bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif terintegrasi investigasi terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 (kelas eksperimen) dan XI IPA 1 (kelas kontrol) yang diambil dengan teknik cluster random sampling. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode observasi, metode angket dan metode tes. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis secara deskriprif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi biserial yang didapatkan berdasarkan posttest adalah rb = 0,64. Besarnya pengaruh ditunjukkan oleh nilai koefisien determinasi (KD) yang diperoleh sebesar 40,96%. Hasil analisis dari aktivitas belajar siswa menunjukkan nilai koefisien korelasi yang diperoleh adalah 0,738.Besarnya pengaruh ditunjukkan oleh  nilai koefisien determinasi (KD) yang diperoleh sebesar 54,46%. Siswa memberikan respon positif terhadap metode pembelajaran kooperatif terintegrasi investigasi sederhana dengan rata-rata persentase per aspek angket respon siswa yang setuju sebesar 55,56%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif terintegrasi investigasi berpengaruh positif terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 3 Temanggung pada materi koloid.

Abstract

Materi larutan penyangga banyak mengandung konsep abstrak dan berkaitan erat dengan kehidupan sehari-hari sehingga memerlukan penjelasan dalam berbagai bentuk representasi yang dapat memvisualisasikan materi larutan penyangga sehingga diharapkan siswa dapat mengamati gejala-gejala yang terjadi dan menganalisis serta menarik kesimpulan yang lebih komprehensif. Pembelajaran yang dapat menunjang pembelajaran tersebut adalah pembelajaran multiple representasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan tingkat kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi larutan penyangga di kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 12 Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan subyek penelitian kelas XI MIPA SMA Negeri 12 Semarang sebanyak 76 siswa. Data penelitian diperoleh dari tes pemahaman konsep berbentuk three-tier multiple choice yang telah divalidasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi larutan penyangga menunjukkan indikator pemahaman konsep belum semua terpenuhi secara maksimal oleh seluruh siswa. Hal tersebut karena indikator penelitian mengklasifikasikan masih tergolong kriteria sedang pada materi larutan penyangga yaitu sebesar 45,53% paham, 31,05% kurang paham, 12,96% miskonsepsi, dan 10,46% tidak paham.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the ability of students’ creative thinking through the application of Problem Based Learning Model  based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) on solubility and solubility product constant (Ksp) material. The research method used was a case study with One-Shot Case Study design. Sampling in this research using purposive sampling technique. Instruments data collection using test method in the form questions of creative thinking to know the ability of students creative thinking and questionnaire to know the students response to the learning had  done. The results showed that, the average ability of creative thinking of students in good criteria with score 47,84 from total score 60 and the highest achievement in the indicator to view information from different point of view (89,48%), and the students gave positive responses for learning which is done. The conclusion of theses researches is the student’s ability of creative thinking  after applied  Problem Based Learning Model  based on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics on solubility and solubility product constant (Ksp) material in good criteria.

Abstract

Soft skills are things that become part of learning outcomes in the learning process. This is related to the provision of the lives of students in the future. The aim of the chemical stoichiometry learning process with discovery-based community learning models is to improve students' soft skills. This classroom action research was carried out in 3 cycles with 3 meetings each cycle. The research subjects were softskills for students of class X Science-6 Pekalongan 1 High School. The results of the study showed an increase in students' soft skills from 67% (less) in cycle 1 to 87% (good) in cycle 2. In cycle 3 it increased to 96% (very good), with very good indicators of success. This increase shows that discovery-based community learning models can improve students' soft skills. Other results indicate a change in enthusiasm, activity, and motivation to learn to be better.

Abstract

The rapid development of informatics and computer technology (ICT) has an impact on the world of education today. On the other hand, changes in the educational paradigm that previously embraced teacher-centered learning became student-centered learning, bringing very significant changes to the developedment of learning methods at this time. This study aims to improve student chemistry learning outcomes through digital based learning. Digital technology has developed widely, but has not been utilized in learning. Based on preliminary observations in the Department of Chemistry at UNNES, lecturers have difficulty in creating a learning atmosphere centered on student activities, so that lecturers are still be the main source of learning. These problems have implications for the quality of learning in the Department of Chemistry, which so far has not used digital learning. This study is a qualitative descriptive study by applying digital based learning through three stages, namely planning, implementation, and reflection (see). At the planning stage, create a digital learning scenario. In the implementation phase, apply the scenario in the class. During learning, observations are carried out by the teaching team. The reflection phase is conducted to review the learning process with a focus on student activities and class participation. The results of this study prove that digital based learning is one option that can meet the need to improve the quality of learning chemistry at the UNNES. The effect of digital-based learning strategies on student learning outcomes is 52.8%

Abstract

Selection of learning model is influential on the success of student learning. The guided inquiry learning model is one of the student-centered learning models and emphasizes the learning process of students in finding concepts. The guided inquiry learning model based on authentic assessment makes learning activities meaningful and enables improving student learning outcomes as the student's per-stage development can be measured. This research is an experimental research using posttest-only control design. Population in this research is all students of class XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Pabelan. The samples in this study were taken with saturated sampling. Class XI IPA 1 as experiment class and class XI IPA 2 as control class. Data collection methods used are interview, documentation test and observation methods. This study begins treatment and ends  posttest. Based on the result of research, the mean value of posttest of cognitive domain for experimental class is 80,28 and control class equal to 76,60. This concludes that the cognitive class experimental mean of the experimental class is better than the control class proved by t-test, that mean of the experimental cognitive learning outcomes differ significantly with the control class. Psychomotor and affective domain results with very good criteria in the experiment class more than the control class. Based on the analysis of research results can be obtained conclusion that the guided inquiry model based on authentic assessment has a positive effect on student learning outcomes.
