That this cause there is no variation foam boart media andreal life materials media in the learning process interaction in the Spermatophyta. The problems of the classroom action reasearch was “Did application of variationfoam boartmedia andreal life materials media in the learning process is to improve the achievement learning about interaction in the Spermatophyta in the class VII A ?“. The goal of the car were to increase : 1. The learning process more then pull, (2) the learning process more then interctive, (3) the achievement of learning then more, (4) times efficient and energy. The subject topics wereGymnospermae and Angiospermae. The Car is held in three cycle : in VII A class with 32 students. Abstract

Based on the questionnaire to 52 students UNNES Department of Chemistry Faculty, teaching methods of lectures and lecturers are still such things are very boring for students. Moreover, the course material is primarily Basic Chemistry subjects that are less desirable and considered difficult by students because it is abstract, so it needs to be assisted visualization. It is therefore interesting to study as well as creativity and innovation fostering student learning and not so monotonous. The purpose of this study to determine the increase in the chemical and life skill learning of students with learning models CEP. This research is a class action that was implemented in three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were students of Chemistry Department of Education UNNES the second half. The focus is investigated in this study is the result of learning and life skill development of students. The data obtained and analyzed using descriptive methods to determine the increase in the learning and life skill development of students. From the research, studying classical completeness increased from cycle I (44%), cycle II (82%), and cycle III (87%). The average scores of students cycle life skill I, II, and III, respectively 77%, 80% and 92% .. Based on these results we can conclude that the results of student learning and life skill can be improved through the implementation of CEP learning model.

Abstract

Abstract. Aspects discussed in this research is to improve the intelligence thinking of student research through a MER (Duit 2012). Based on a problem that is often found that the appearance of lack of originality of research because students are not able to think of research, which is shown in a preliminary study.Based on these problems, researchers developed teaching materials to reconstruct RL context zeolite based PSDM. The instrument was a questionnaire response experts to determine the feasibility of the cognitive level of the student materials in accordance with the character of the curriculum in 2013. The characteristics of instructional materials: 1) was developed in accordanceaspect PSDM attitude Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), 2) the context ofthe lecture corresponding zeolite mineral chemistry issues, 3) content according to the level of cognitive student accesible criteria, 4) Perspective students to the concept of material through interviews. Interviews showed> 80% of the students have any preconceptions about the meaning of the scientific method and thinking research. Therefore, the insertion of material thought PSDM based research on teaching materials need to be raised. Validation / CVR obtain the Value 0.76, and CVI c(0,76) > CVI t(0,68) showed very appropriate instructional materials used.

Abstract

This learning teching research was intended to improve the learning outcomes of the students practicing in the subject of prepare and table set up, the main subject of Tata Hidang I (Servicing Arragements I). The subject for this research consisted of 18 S1 students of the learning group number 02 for the study Program for PKK, concentrating on Tata Boga, Departement of Service & Production Technology, the Technical Faculty of Semarang State University for the academic period of 2009-2010. This research was conducted in the gasal semester of the academic year of 2009-2010. The needed data were collected by means of tests and obsevation on the learning outcomes of the students practicing in the sub-subject of Prepare and Table Set up. The data collection used grading sheets for practices in Tata Hidang as its instrument. The data were then analized using the method of descriptive presentation. This was a classroom-action research planned in three cycles. The second and third cycles were implemented based on reflections on the first cycle and on improvements that should be reached. Every cycle consisted of two face to face encounters and of 4 activities: (1)planning, (2) implementations, (3) observations, (4) reflections. The results of this research showed that the use of peeer tutorials for the learning-teching pocesses had positive effects both on the students and the lecturers that it might improve the quality of lecturing for the Tata Hidang I. The grades obtained by the students from practicing in the sub-subject of prepare and table set up increased from the lowest grade C (46.7%) BC and B (60%) and AB (26.6 %), and AB (26.6%.). Trough the three cycles, the number of BC grade decreased from 66% to only 20%. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that peer tutorial for the subject of Tata Hidang I and Servicing in Food & Beverage should be continued in order that the educational serveices provided to the practicing students might be optimized and the student achievements might be improved.

Abstract

The problems of this research are what is the average time spent for the S2 English Education Program students for finishing their thesis, what academic and non academic handicaps faced by the students to finish the thesis, what academic and non academic handicaps faced by the lecturers to supervise the students in finishing their thesis, How is to solve the problems in finishing the thesis. The design of the research is descriptive qualitative with the population English Education Program (EEP) students after finishing their thesis examinations and the lecturers as the advisors. The samples taken are thirty students and eight lecturers chosen randomly. The data were collected through two questionnaires namely for students dealing with the students’ identity, questions dealing with academic factors, questions dealing with non academic factors, questions addressed to the lecturers. The conclusions taken are as follows: the students’ academic competence reflected in thirty students is good; the scores for the subjects directly related to the thesis are good, though some are repeated with the commulative achievement index of 3,55. The scores for the thesis examinations are starting from AB to A or 80 above. However, there are still some problems in writing the thesis especially in grammar, diction, spelling, punctuation, cohesion, coherence, content, reference, format, numbering. The errors occurred in all chapters including in writing the abstract, acknowledgement, table of content, cover, and bibliography. Most students have the guidance book to write the thesis; the process to get the advisor decree takes one week; the meeting with the advisors is scheduled; the oral communication mode can be direct meeting through telephone and through sms. it always gets the response for an appointment from the advisors for consultation. The time period from one meeting to the other with the supervisor is one week. The advisor is helpful and in average they master the material proposed by the students. Mostly there is no contradictory opinion between the first and the second advisors. The references available in the English department library are helpful for the students to write the thesis but not in the central library of Unnes; The examiners of thesis don’t demand much revision; the data collection and the document preparation needed is well done; at the beginning the students do not master the material but after reading a lot and being guided by the advisors they know better.3) most of the students have great motivation in finishing the thesis for financial reason; most of the students are tough and patient in writing the thesis for the fact that they can finish the revision quickly; some students have very limited skill of research that makes them to be guided much; most of the students have politeness in asking the consultation though some do not. There are still some students who are reluctant to read the original books; they prefer to quote others’ quotations and still make mistake in the format including in the numbering system.
