Abstract

Tulisan ini bermaksud membahas tentang program penanganan anak jenius di Indonesia. Anak jenius dengan potensi intelektual yang tinggi akan berkembang optimal apabila berada dalam atmosfir yang mendukung, untuk itulah program penanganan dirancang. Program penanganan dilakukan dengan mempertimbangkan keterbatasan dari para pengelola pendidikan untuk mendirikan sekolah khusus anak jenius. Program ini dapat diselenggarakan bersama-sama antara orang tua,guru dan masyarakat. Menurut penulis, diperlukcin kecermatan dalam menerapkan tahap-tahap penanganan agar program yang dijalankan dapat mengenai sasaran. Tahap-tahap tersebut adalah sebagai berikut: Pertama mendeteksi atau identifikasi anak jenius. Data dikumpulkan dari hasil pemeriksaan psikologis, hasil observasi & wawancara, prestasi belajar. Tahap kedua adalah memberikan perlakuan. Bentuk perlakuan yang paling sering dilakukan adalah melalui program pengayaan (en­richment program), sedangkan program akselerasi (acceleration pro­gram) masih belum ditanggapi secara serius. Program pengayaan berorientasi pada pengembangan aspek kognitif, sedangkan program akselerasi berorientasi pada aspek sosial-emosionai (afektif dan be­havioral). Tahap ketiga adalah penilaian hasil program yang dilakukan secara berkala. Kata kunci : anak jenius, program penanganan, deteksi, perlakuan,penilaian

Abstract

This study was intended to obtain data on the psychological status of badminton players which are needed in order to help raise achievement.The research subjects were 41 badminton players, male and female, taken from a badminton club in Semarang.The measurement instruments used in this study were tests intended to reveal self-confidence, motivation and anxiety. These instruments had been adapted to Indonesia and their reliability and validity had been reestablished. Data on badminton achievement, in terms of player’s levels, were taken from documents recorded by coaches.Pearson Product Moment correlation technique was employed to find out relationships between research variables, while t-test was employed to find differences between males and females in those variables. Results indicated that : (1) No significant difference was found in self confidence, motivation an anxiety between male and female athletes (2) In general, the badminton athletes had low self confidence, quite high motivation and low anxiety (3) There was a positive and significant relationship between player’s level and motivation.  Key words     :   bulutangkis, percaya diri, motivasi dan kecemasan

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat kecenderungan berpikir tertutup dan potensi radikalisme pada mahasiswa, serta menguji bagaimana pengaruh kecenderungan berpikir tertutup dan kecenderungan kebersetujuan terhadap potensi radikalisme. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jumlah subjek sebanyak 314 orang yang didapatkan menggunakan teknik random sampling. Pengambilan data menggunakan tiga skala, yaitu Short Version Need for Closure Scale (Roets & Vein Heil, 2007), Big Five Inventory Scale (Jhon & Srivastava, 1999), dan Disposition Violent Extrimism Scale (Davydov, 2017). Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data deskriptif dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh kecenderungan berpikir tertutup dan kecenderungan kebersetujuan terhadap potensi radikalisme pada mahasiswa dengan signifikansi .000 (p < .01). Nilai koefisien determinasi adalah .106 yang menunjukkan bahwa kecenderungan berpikir tertutup dan kecenderungan kebersetujuan berpengaruh 10.6% terhadap potensi radikalisme mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: kecenderungan berpikir tertutup, kecenderungan kebersetujuan, radikalismeThe Role of Need for Closure and Radical Behavior among StudentsAbstract. This study aimed at determining the impact of need for closure, agreeableness, and the influence of the potential of radicalism to the students. This study used a quantitative approach with 314 subjects obtained using random sampling techniques. Retrieval of data using three scales, Short Version Need for Closure Scale (Roats & Van Heil, 2011), Big Five Inventory Scale (John & Srivastava, 1999)and Dispotition Violent Extrimism Scale (Davydov, 2017b). Data collected in this study was then analyzed using descriptive method and multiple linear regression. The findings show that there is a need for closure and agreeableness influence on the potential of radicalism to the students. The results of the analysis indicated the need for closure and agreeableness affect the potential for radicalism to the students with a significance .000 (p < .01). Coefficient of determination is .106 which shows thati simultaneously the two independent variables affect the potential radicalism by 10.6%.Keywords: agreeableness, need for closure, radicalism

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the relationship between religiosity with cybersex behaviors in students. The hypothesis is There is a negative relationship between religiosity cyberesex behavior in undergraduate students. Someone religiosity is inversely proportional to his cybersex behavior. Subjects in this study are 52 people undergraduates student who lived in Yogyakarta . Data collection tool using scales that are Cybersex Behavior Scale and Religiosity Scale. The results of data analysis showed r = -0.333, with a significance level of 0008 (p <0.01). Based on the correlation results can be stated that there is a negative relationship between the religiosity of a cybersex behavior, so the hypothesis that there is a negative relationship between religiosity with cybersex behavior is acceptable. The coefficient of determination (R) obtained = 0.111 means that the contribution to the decline in religiosity variable rate of 11.1% CONDUCT cybersex.Keywords: Religiosity, Cybersex

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kesesuaian konsep diri nyata dan ideal dengan kemampuan manajemen diri pada mahasiswa pelaku organisasi. Selain itu juga akan dilihat apakah ada perbedaan kemampuan manajemen diri antara pelaku organisasi yang berstatus top executive (ketua umum) dengan yang berstatus non top executive (ketua bidang).            Subjek penelitian berjumlah 72 orang, 36 orang berstatus ketua umum dan 36 orang ketua bidang pada organisasi kemahasiswaan, semua berusia 18-24 tahun. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji korelasi dengan product moment dari Pearson dan uji perbedaan dengan anava 1 jalur.            Hasil analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang sangat signifikan antara kesesuaian konsep diri nyata dan ideal dengan kemampuan manajemen diri pada mahasiswa pelaku organisasi (r xy = - 0.801; p<0.01). Sumbangan kesesuaian konsep diri nyata dan ideal terhadap kemampuan manajemen diri sebesar 63.1%. Hasil analisis tambahan menunjuk tidak adanya perbedaan kemampuan manajemen diri antara pelaku organisasi yang berstatus top executive dengan yang berstatus non top executive (F= 0.003; p>0.05).  Kata Kunci    :   konsep diri, manajemen diri, pelaku organisasi

Abstract

The present study was aimed to examine the relationship between self-disclosure and marital satisfaction, and whether the relation between self-disclosure and marital satisfaction meditated by intimacy. The participants of study involved 110 individual marriedpeoples in Cilegon, Banten. As predicted, the result showed that self-disclosure was positively related to marital satisfaction. Furthermore, the result also showed that intimacy was mediator the relationship between self­disclosure and marital satisfaction. Implications and directions forfuture research were discussed.Keyword: Self-disclosure, intimacy, Marital Satisfaction.

Abstract

This qualitative research aimed to describe the dynamic of marital conflict and conflict resolution in early stage ofmarriage. There are four participants (two couples) who are in theirfirst year of marriage. The results showed that marital conflict in early stage of marriage developed in several areas : relation with family of origin, financial management, work, daily habits, love and sexual expression, social and recreational activity, and relation with friends. Conflict resolution type that effective in solving problems in all areas is collaboration type. Factors that causing marital conflict are personality characteristic, difference in value and way of life, discrepancy between expectancy and reality, and inadequate communication skills. Effect of marital conflict is related to the conflict resolution type. Conflict resolution type with solution that satisfied both parties will improve the quality ofmarriage, and vice versa. Keywords : marital conflict, conflict resolution, early stage of marriage

Abstract

The aim of this research is to identity factors that influences purchase intention of leather puppet in Javanese ethnic. This research discusses all factors which possibly appear in the responden.The subject of this research are buyers who visit Handicraf Hadi Sukirno especially Javanese people. Theoretical sampling was use in the research. The method of this research is observation method and interview method. The observation was done in 9 respondent and the interview was done on 4 respondent. The guide interview was used in this research.Design of this research is collective case study. Analysis technique this research is thematic analysis technique. The basic theory in this research is Ajzen on this result of this research can be concluded that purchase intention of the leather puppet in Javanese people was influence by External Factor and Internal Factor. The Internal Factor consist of subject appreciation to puppet, subject affection and interest to puppet and culture, product (puppet) image, subject knowledge and perception, value and self concept. The external factors consist of social economic and media information influence. Key words     :    purchasing intention, leather puppet

Abstract

This research was aimed to verify a model of career maturity on High School students. The model suggests that career maturity is affected by many factors, i.e. counseling service, perception of study majoring, life history, self-efficacy and academic achievement. Research subjects consisted of 616 SMA students. Data was collected using career maturity inventory, psychological scale, and questionnaire methods. These instrumens had been adapted to Indonesia and their reliability and validity had been reestablished. Structural equation model was developed to analyze career maturity determinant factors. Outcomes of the analysis were used to verify the career maturity model and to find out direct, indirect and total effects. The research results showed that the theoretical model of career maturity is supported by empirical data, namely the eight category of measurement. Specifically, the research results are: 1) counselling service, perception of study majoring and life history had  a significant effect on self-efficacy; 2) counselling service,  perception of study majoring and life history had  a significant effect on academic achievement; and 3) self-efficacy had a significant effect on academic achievement.Key words:  career maturity, counseling services, perception of study majoring, life history, self-efficacy, and academic achievement.

Abstract

The early childhood years are important because in this period all developmental aspects (physical, emotional, and intellectual) grow at their fullest pace. Unfortunately, parents, society and government (through their school system) in Indonesia show a lack of awareness on the importance of giving early stimulation (formal and also non formal) to children at this age. As a result, treatment to children, in their learning and growing process,  tend to be developmentally inappropriate. The current paper tries to examine the problem of giving developmentally appropriate learning environment in kindergarten. The length of the school is only one dimension of the kindergarten experience. Other important issues include the nature of the kindergarten curriculum and the quality of teaching. Changing the length of the hours spent in kindergarten is not as important as making sure that all kindergarteners are provided with developmentally and individually appropriate learning environment. Developmentally appropriate kindergarten classroom  must have one thing in common: the focus will be on the development of the child as a whole.Keywords: early childhood, kindergarten curriculum
