Abstract

Yogyakarta dan Bandung merupakan kota favorit untuk menempuh pendidikan. Ketika bermigrasi, kaum muda akan menghadapi proses adaptasi dengan lingkungan baru. Kegagalan saat beradaptasi dengan lingkungan baru akan memicu masalah psikologis seperti stres, cemas, dan gegar budaya (culture shock). Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengeksplorasi pengalaman kaum muda dalam beradaptasi selama bermigrasi ke kota Yogyakarta dan Bandung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan melibatkan 200 mahasiswa di Yogyakarta dan Bandung. Diskusi Kelompok Terarah (DKT) dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis data tematik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, ketika kaum muda bermigrasi dan melakukan proses adaptasi, mereka cenderung mencari informasi, berinteraksi, dan menyesuaikan diri. Terdapat juga faktor predisposisi yang memengaruhi proses adaptasi kaum muda selama bermigrasi, yaitu faktor penghambat dan faktor pendukung selama beradaptasi. Penelitian ini memberikan sumbangsih terhadap perkembangan ilmu psikologi mengenai proses adaptasi dan faktor predisposisi pada kaum muda yang bermigrasi ke kota Yogyakarta dan Bandung. Penelitian ini juga diharapkan dapat memberikan pengetahuan kepada kaum muda yang memiliki pengalaman pertama melakukan migrasi ke kota besar.Kata kunci: kaum muda, migrasi, proses adaptasiAdaptation Process among Youths’ Migration to Yogyakarta and BandungAbstract. Yogyakarta and Bandung as best favorite cities for education. When migrating, youth will face the process of adaptation to the new environment. The failure when adapting to the new environment will trigger psychological problems such as stress, anxiety, and fear (culture shock). Therefore, this study try to explore the experience of youth adapting during migration to the cities of Yogyakarta and Bandung. The study was involved 200 students in Yogyakarta and Bandung. Focus Group Discussions (FGD) are conducted by using thematic data analysis. The results show that young people migrate through the process of adaptation by finding information, interacting, and adjusting. On the other side, There also a predisposition factors influenced youth adaptation process during migration, namely inhibiting and supporting factors during adaptation. Therefore, This research might have contribution to the development of psychology science regarding the process of adaptation and youth predisposition factors who migrate to the cities of Yogyakarta and Bandung. Hopefully, the research would highly provide knowledge to young people with first experience migrating to big cities.Keywords: adaptation process, migration, youth

Abstract

A good parent-child relationship is an important factor for positive behavior development in children as well as protective factor for many problems and disorder. Trust between children and parent will be basic component to build good relationship. The purpose of this research was to explore whether or not children trust their parents and the reason underline trust toward parents. The respondents (205 undergraduate students of UIN Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau) completed two questions asking if you trusts your mother and father, then answer the reason you trusts mother and father. An indigenous psychology approach was used to analys the data. T-test analysis shows there is differences in trusting father and mother. Most of respondents (76,58%) highly trust their mothers, more than toward father (57,07%). The reasons to trust mother are mother's character (38.05%), role (30.24%), relation (22.93%), and reliable (8,78%). On the other hand, children trust father because of father's role (36.59%), relation (29.76%), character (23.41%), and reliable (6.83%). We conclude the main reason to trust mother and father are character and role respectively. This research suggests mothers to show more positive characters and fathers to run the role in child-rearing practices.Keywords: trust, parent-child relationship

Abstract

Kesejahteraan subjektif merupakan bentuk penilaian dan pandangan terhadap peristiwa dalam hidup yang juga sangat penting bagi anak didik LPKA, mengingat kondisi kehidupan yang mereka alami selama masa binaan cenderung berbeda dibandingkan dengan anak lainnya. Penelitian kesejahteraan subjektif anak didik di LPKA ini dilakukan untuk mendapatkan data terkait kesejahteraan subjektif anak didik LPKA yang dipengaruhi oleh resiliensi dan mengetahui pengaruhnya pada setiap domain. Penelitian dilakukan pada 83 anak didik pada rentang usia dari 12-18 tahun yang berstatus narapidana, dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dan metode pengambilan data menggunakan kuesioner Skala Resiliensi hasil pengembangan Reivich dan Shatte (2002) serta alat ukur Kesejahteraan Psikologis Integratif hasil pengembangan Maslihah, et al. (2017). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi diketahui dapat memengaruhi kesejahteraan subjektif anak didik LPKA (p < .05), pengaruh tersebut juga dapat dilihat melalui domain akademik, organisasi, interaksi sosial, serta kegiatan. Kesejahteraan subjektif anak didik LPKA dapat ditingkatkan dengan adanya resiliensi.Kata Kunci: anak didik, kesejahteraan subjektif, Lembaga Pembinaaan Khusus Anak (LPKA), resiliensiResilience and Subjective Well-Being among Imprisoned ChildrenAbstractSubjective well-being is a form of evaluation and reflection towards life events which are also very important for imprisoned children in Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA, a special jail for imprisoned children), since they had a different life from the ordinary children. Research of subjective wellbeing on child prisoners aims to gather data about subjective wellbeing of child prisoners in LPKA by resilience and to know the effect on each domains. The research involves 83 child prisoners in an age range of 12-18. This quantitative research uses Resilience Scale questionnaire by Reivich and Shatte (2002) and Integrative Psychological WellBeing Measurements by Maslihah et al. (2017). It Points out that resilience significantly affects subjective wellbeing (p < .05), in many aspects such as academic, organization, association, and activity. Abstract

Seorang pekerja diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi pada organisasinya. Salah satu aspek yang memiliki peranan penting dalam kualitas kontribusi seorang pekerja di tempat kerjanya adalah kebahagiaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari hubungan antara kebahagiaan autentik dan keterikatan kerja pada guru di sekolah inklusi. Hipotesis diuji berdasarkan asumsi bahwa kebahagiaan autentik berkorelasi dengan keterikatan kerja para guru di sekolah inklusi. Responden penelitian ini melibatkan 70 orang guru dari sekolah inklusi di Yogyakarta yang dipilih dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Rentang usia responden antara 23 – 48 tahun. Data dikumpulkan melalui Authentic Happiness Inventory yang dimodifikasi dari Schueller dan Seligman (2010) dan Peterson (2005), sementara Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) dikembangkan oleh Schaufeli dan Bakker (2003). Hasil analisis menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman menunjukkan besarnya koefisien antara variabel kebahagiaan autentik dan keterikatan kerja (r = .439, p = .00 [p < .05]). Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kebahagiaan autentik dan keterikatan kerja pada guru sekolah inklusi di Yogyakarta, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin tinggi kebahagiaan autentik maka akan semakin tinggi keterikatan kerja yang dimiliki. One aspects that has an important role in the quality of employees’ contibution at their workplace is happiness. This study aims to explore the relationship between authentic happiness and work engagement of teachers in inclusive schools. The hypothesis to be examined based on the assumption that the authentic happiness correlated with the work engagement of teachers in inclusive school. As many as 70 teachers from inclusive schools in Yogyakarta taken based on purposive sampling. The age of subjects were in the range of 23 – 48 years. Data collected in this study was then analyzed using Authentic Happiness Inventory which modified from Schueller and Seligman (2010) and Peterson (2005), while Utretch Work Engagement Scale (UWES) was developed by Schaufeli and Bakke (2003). The Results of analysis using Spearman’s correlation technique showed the coefficient between the variables (r = .439, p = .000 [p < .05]). This study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between happiness and work enggagement of teachers in inclusive schools. Furthermore, The higher the happiness, the higher the work engagement they have. Abstract

Penyebaran Covid-19 telah memberikan berbagai efek negatif terhadap Kesehatan mental. Salah satu faktor protektif penurunan kesehatan mental adalah resiliensi. Tinjauan literatur ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui model teoritik dari faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi resiliensi. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi dapat dipengaruhi oleh religiusitas, dukungan sosial dan spiritualitas. Religiusitas, dukungan sosial dan spiritualitas dapat menjadi pendukung peningkatan resiliensi, di mana resiliensi dapat menjadi faktor protektif penurunan kesehatan mental di masa pandemi Covid-19.Kata Kunci: dukungan sosial, pandemi Covid-19, religiusitas, resiliensi, spiritualitasConceptual Models of Resilience during Covid-19 Pandemic: The Effects of Religiosity, Social Support and SpiritualityAbstractThe spread of Covid-19 has various negative effects on mental health. Abstract

Ikhlas as a psychological construct does not have any instrument. Based on that fact, the research is aimed at developing a instrument so the topic of ikhlas can be developed more widely. The process of preparation carried out in three stages, namely (1) writing items of ikhlas' scale, (2) content validation through professional judgment and cognitive debriefing, and (3) testing the reliability with alpha-cronbach approach. The subjects in this study amounted to 224 people. The result of this research was a ikhlas' scale consist of 22 items. The reliability's score of scale was 0,809. It shows that the scale developed can be considered as a good instrument of ikhlas.Keywords: ikhlas' scale, cognitive debriefing, content validation

Abstract

Kebahagiaan lansia di panti sosial menjadi penting ketika berbagai permasalahan hidup lansia menyertainya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan kebahagiaan lansia. Responden berjumlah 40 orang yang memiliki fungsi pendengaran yang baik dari kedua jenis kelamin yang berusia >/= 60 tahun, bebas dari diagnosis depresi, demensia atau gangguan neurologis atau psikopatologis. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik purposif. Kebahagiaan diukur dengan kuesioner yang mengacu pada indikator Happiness oleh Seligman (2002) yang terdiri dari emosi positif maupun aktivitas positif dan terbagi menjadi tiga yaitu yang ditujukan pada masa lalu (bersyukur dan memaafkan), masa depan (yakin, percaya, harapan, dan optimis) dan masa sekarang (gratifikasi dan kesenangan). Dukungan sosial diukur menggunakan skala adaptasi dari The MOS Social Support Survey oleh Sherbourne dan Stewart (1991) dengan empat dimensi skala dukungan fungsional: emosional/informasional (emotional/informational), bantuan nyata (tangible), penuh kasih sayang (affectionate), dan interaksi sosial positif (positive social interaction). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada korelasi positif signifikan antara dukungan sosial dan kebahagiaan. Implikasi penelitian ini ialah pentingnya dukungan sosial bagi lansia untuk meningkatkan kebahagiaan di panti sosial.Kata Kunci: dukungan sosial, kebahagiaan, lansia, panti sosialSocial Support and Happiness among Institutionalized Older People in MedanAbstract. The happiness of the residents of nursing homes becomes important with the presence of various accompanying life problems. This research aims to see the relationship between social support and elderly happiness. It involves 40 respondents with good hearing of both sexes aged >/= 60 years, free of diagnosis of depression, dementia or neurological or psychopathological disorders. The sample is selected by a purposive technique. Happiness measurement with a questionnaire that refers to the indicator of Happiness by Seligman (2002) which consists of positive emotions or positive activities. The indicator is divided into three parts; addressed to the past (grateful and forgiving), the future (faith, believe, hope, and optimistic) and now (gratuity and pleasure). As to the social support I adapt the scale from The MOS Social Support Survey by Sherbourne and Stewart (1991) with four dimensions of functional support: emotional/informational, tangible, affectionate, and positive social interactions. The result confirms that there is a significant positive relation between social support and happiness. The implication of this research is the importance of social support for the elderly to increase happiness in social institutions.Keywords: happiness, institutionalized older people, social support, the elderly
