Abstract

The research is aimed to discover relation between the intencity of interpersonal communication and aggressiveness. Subject for this research is student from Psychology of Education and Guidance Program, FKIP UNPATTI, with amount of research subject consist of 86 people.To discover relation between intencity of interpersonal communication with aggressiveness, hence [in] using correlation data analysis of product moment. Result of data analysis show intencity of interpersonal data analysis show intencity of interpersonal communication and aggressiveness have negative correlation and very significant (rxy = -0,460 and p < 0,01).Effective contribution of intencity of interpersonal communication equal to 21,1% to aggressiveness, the rest equal to 78,9% is other factor that have an effect on in this research, even internal factors and also esternal factors.  Key words     : Intensity Communications of Interpersonal, Aggressiveness

Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between Self concept and Burnout. The study was a field research which data collected through Scale of Self Concept and Scale of Burnout. The subject were employees of Dinas Pencegah dan Pemadam Kebakaran (DP2K), ones of Public service in Medan. The number of subject was 85. The result show that was a negative correlation between self concept and burnout (rxy = -0.583, p < 0.01). Self Concept contributes  34% to Burnout. It means that, the positive of self concept, the lower of burnout. In addition, the finding also shows there was a significant difference in burnout based on worked period (F = 3.431, p < 0.05). Employees who have worked period 11-20 years, significantly tendency to burnout than employees who have worked period 2-10 years and 21-28 years.Keywords : Self Concept, Burnout.

Abstract

Regional government in many Indonesian provinces are currently applying information technology in order to better serve the people through the e-government program. E-government is an internet based information management system to assist the public in accessing, searching and recording public information from the government. This paper examines the consequences which might be faced by government employees in facing a change of the work technology. Studies showed that one out of the many issues related to use of computer technology is computer anxiety. It is found that high anxiety related to computer technology occur as a form of techno-stress and is associated with psychological symtoms, known as computer anxiety. High computer anxiety is thought to be related to negative work attitudes. Thus, internal and external factors related to computer anxiety need to be examined in order for the government organizations to deal with computer anxiety, both as prevention and intervention, more effectively.Key Words : E-government, Computer anxiety, Prevention, Intervention.

Abstract

This research aimed at finding correlation between sensation seeking and risk taking behavior among students. This study was done by experimental method. It was hypothesis that was a positive correlation between level of sensation seeking and risk taking behavior.Data were collected from 79 students in faculty of Psychology from Islamic University of Indonesia. The students participated in ring toses experiment, adapted from Sorrentino (1992). Before experiment, students had completed sensation seeking scale. The relationship between level of sensation seeking and risk taking behavior was determined by product moment analysis. The result of the reseach was that sensation seeking correlated with risk taking behavior (r=0,226: p= 0,045)Key Words : Sensation Seeking, Risk taking Behavior

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan tingkat kompetensi interpersonal antara anak-anak panti asuhan yang diasuh dengan sistem pengasuh tradisional dan anak-anak panti asuhan yang diasuh dengan sistem pengasuhan ibu asuh.Subjek yang dijadikan sampel pada penelitian ini sebanyak 80 anak (masing-masing sistem 40 anak) yang ada pada tahap perkembangan kanak-kanak akhir (berusia sembilan sampai 12 tahun), masih sekolah di sekolah dasar dan tinggal sekurang-kurangnya selama satu tahun di panti asuhan yang menggunakan salah satu dari dua sistem pengasuhan yang telah disebutkan di atas. Alat ukur yang dipakai pada penelitian ini yang telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel adalah: (a) angket persepsi tingkat demokratisasi pola asuh (koefisien validitas yang bergerak antara 0.266 sampai 0.596 dengan koefisien relibilitas sebesar 0.847) dan (b) angket kompetensi interpersonal (koefisien validitas bergerak antara 0.252 sampai 0.618 dengan koefisian teliabilitas sebesar 0.884).Dari hasil penelitian analisis data dengan analisis varians satu jalur diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa tidak ada perbedaan tingkat kompetensi interpersonal anak-anak yang diasuh dengan sistem pengasuhan tradisional dan antara anak-anak yang diasuh dengan sistem pengasuhan ibu asuh (F=1.837:p= 0.176). Dengan melihat rerata emperik yang lebih besar daripada rerata hipotetik,dapat disimpulkan bahwa anak-anak pada kedua sistem pengasuhanmemiliki tingkat kompetensi interpersonal yang sama tinggi (rerata hipopetik=22.5, rerata empirik sistem tradisional 35.625 dan sistem ibu asuh = 34.375) kata kunci: Kompetensi interpersonal, sistem pengasuhan tradisoanal,sistem pengasuhan ibu asuh

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan kajian mengenai adaptasi program pelatihan peningkatan fokus atensi kedalam bentuk program komputer. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan alat penunjang pelatihan peningkatan fokus atensi, dengan cara mengubahnya kedalam bentuk program komputer (piranti lunak). Disain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode campuran (mixed method) dengan menggunakan strategi metode campuran konkuren atau satu waktu (concurrent mixed methods), yaitu menggunakan disain penelitian kuantitatif dan kualitatif dalam waktu yang bersamaan. Dalam prosesnya, dilakukan penilaian oleh ahli Game Developer berjumlah satu orang dan ahli psikolog bidang klinis anak dan remaja berjumlah tiga orang. Berdasarkan hasil penilaian dari ahli Game Developer terdapat saran perubahan pada intensitas warna stimulus dan latar belakang layar. Sedangkan berdasarkan penilaian dari ahli psikolog dengan mengunakan teknik Content Validity index (CVI), didapat bahwa piranti lunak “Pelatihan Fokus Atensi” memiliki nilai S-CVI/Average (S-CVI/AVE) = .91 (> .80) yang artinya sudah sesuai dengan teori yang ada. Tahap selanjutnya yaitu user experience oleh psikolog bidang klinis anak berjumlah tiga orang dengan membandingkan penggunaan pada piranti lunak dan alat manual. Hasilnya piranti lunak dinilai lebih praktis dan cenderung minim bias negatif.Kata Kunci: fokus atensi, gangguan pemusatan perhatian, pelatihan, program komputerValidation of Computerized Application to Improve Focus Attention on Children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD)AbstractThis research is a study on the adaptation of a training program aimed to increase focused attention into a computer. It aims to develop a tool for such training by applying some adaptations into a computer program (software). This study uses concurrent mixed methods (using quantitative and qualitative research methods at the same time). In the first process, the software was assessed by a Game Developer expert and three child and adolescence clinical psychologists. The expert of Game Developer suggests a change of the intensity of the color of the stimulus and the screen background. Using the Content Validity index (CVI) technique, the psychologists found that the “Attention Focus Training” software has a value of S-CVI/Average (S-CVI/AVE) = .91 (> .80), indicating its conformity to the existing theories. The next stage is user experience by three child and adolescence clinical psychologists, conducted by comparing the use of the software and manual tools. It shows that the software is more practical and tends to have less negative bias.Keywords: Attention Deficit Disorder, focused attention, software, training
