Abstract

The development of agropolitan areas can deny the false assumption that the developed regions are transformed into urban areas and changes in the dominant role of the agricultural sector to the industrial sector, and services. Assuming that the agricultural sector calculates downstream production up to agro-processing activities, an area can be called advanced by still characterizing the rural areas and the dominant role of the agricultural sector. Based on the results of analysis of excellent potential characteristics with the Sleman region then determined superior food commodities supported by many other commodities. The pre-eminent food commodities are salak fruit located in Turi District and freshwater fish commodities bred in ponds located in Ngemplak sub-district. The two leading food commodities can then be developed into superior products supported by various other food products in order to produce various kinds of food diversification to improve the agropolitanbased rural economy. Based on the results of SWOT analysis related to the potential superior characteristics with the Sleman region then determined superior food commodities supported by many other commodities. The pre-eminent food commodities are salak fruit located in Turi District and freshwater fish commodities bred in ponds located in Ngemplak sub-district. The two leading food commodities can then be developed into superior products supported by various other food products in order to produce various kinds of food diversification to improve the agropolitan-based rural economy. Examples of derivatives of salak pondoh products are salak chips, dodol salak, salak syrup, candied salak, coffee seeds bark and others. Examples of innovations that have been developed is the diversification of catfish and tilapia into catfish abon, catfish chips, crispy tilapia, fish crackers and others that have the durability / durability up to a year more in packaging

Abstract

Tumour is a pathologic condition that frequently occur in the jaws. Diagnosis is an important process to determine the type of tumour for the patient, especially malignant tumour. A precise and correct diagnosis and supported by a precise treatment planning will support the recovery and a better life expectation for the patient. One of the imaging techniques that commonly used is panoramic radiography. As the objective of this research is to acquire a pattern recognition method on the panoramic radiograph for type of tumour detection in the jaws. The image processing method that applied involve histogram equalization, edge detection, and binary image. The processing has been done by considering the shape, edge, and the characteristic of the tumour. The result of image processing compared with the interpretation by the dentist as the reference analysis. The analysis of the image processing result were appropriate with the dentist‟s interpretation for the case of malignant tumour. As the case of malignant tumour that has been observed was squamous cell carcinoma. The result of pattern recognition on the case of malignant tumour showed unobvious edges, the content of the lesion has radiopaque and radiolucency composition, and the defect of mandibular cortical that can be seen obviously.

Abstract

WhatsApp is a multiplatform instant messenger with the most users worldwide by 2013. The popularity of WhatsApp has raised the need of better understanding on how it stores chat archives within the application. This knowledge is useful in term of mobile forensics purposes. In this paper, the latest version of WhatsApp applications in two major platforms, Android and iOS are used in order to explore the file systems and database, to learn where and how the messages and other files are stored, and then to analyze the strength and the weakness of this implementation. The main finding of this research is that WhatsApp uses different file system and database structure in its iOS and Android application. While the database in iOS platform is well structured and makes use of good normalization, the database in Android platform is much simpler and stored as encrypted file within the file system. Furthermore, this research also shows that it is relatively easy to recover all messages history from the database in both platforms; given the Android devices have been rooted but not necessarily jailbreak the iOS devices. Based on this finding, it is possible to develop an application to read WhatsApp database and display it in a more user-friendly format to make forensic activity much easier.

Abstract

Application guides tourist sites in Yogyakarta, is a system that provides convenience to the traveler's reference to tourist sites and public facilities such as gas stations, hotels, restaurants and souvenier shops on the application. With this application accessing information to become more effective and efficient use of smartphones to better facilitate the search of tourist sites that use LBS, featuring the categories of travel (natural tourism, education and cultural / historical), provide search facility tourist sites based on cost-owned using minimal android app 2.2 (Froyo). The method of using the system development model of HIPO and relation table, the implementation phase of software development using Windows7, Javascript and MySQL database. Android based applications can facilitate the user to travel to locations with existing costs

Abstract

As we know that in the lokal train, sometimes we need information what station in front or already left. In this paper will be discussed about the design and the implementation of a lokal train station name displayer using microcontroller and LEDs. dot matrix. This display should be informative especially for new passengers or passenger who sleep during this travel and also for foreigners. This display will be place in parallel in every wagon near the door. To select the name of the stations is only by pressing the switch which is connected to every controller in the displayer.Keywords : station name displayer, microcontroller, dotmatrix display

Abstract

Membrane made of chitosan from shrimp shell can be used to reducea heavy metal chromium (Cr) content in leathertanning industry waste by adsorption. The membranes were manufactured from chitosan with concentrations of 2, 3, and 4wt%, respectively. In addition, glycerol was added during membrane manufacturing as an additive to increase the permeability properties. The results showed that themembrane with 2% chitosan without glycerol gave the best adsorption performance. However, increased the chitosan concentration showed a negative effect to the membrane performance in adsorbing the chromium due to chitosan solubility limitation in the acetic acid. However, the use of glycerol did not improve the adsorption performance. This was due to hydrophilic property of the glycerol.

Abstract

In order to able to use SQL (Structured Query Language) properly, users should understand structure of SQL. In this research, a prototype of translator from natural language to SQL format is developed to facilitate novice users to get information from a database. Using three databases, testing results indicate that the translator gives accuracy  of 86%. Keywords: natural language translator, SQL

Abstract

The purpose of this research, in addition to design and assemble clothes dryers, as well as to determine the influence of the fan in the space of clothes dryers with respect to the time required for drying clothes and the rate of drying clothes, with initial conditions wet clothes different i.e the results of squeeze of hand and the results of squeeze of washing machine. Research carried out on the clothes dryer that works with electric energy sources and using the vapor compression cycle. Total electric power required is 2,588 kW. The clothes dryer works to get dry air at a high enough temperature that can be used for drying clothes. The clothes dryer works with open systems, meaning that the air which has been used for drying clothes immediately dumped out of the clothes dryer. The working fluid used in drying clothes is the outdoor air, whereas the working fluid that is used for the vapor compression cycle is R134a. The research was conducted by using 50 batik clothes from Pekalongan, size XL, which has a total dry weight of 7660 grams. Research results: (a) the clothes dryer can work well without a jam occurs during machine work, when no load, the air condition in the space of clothes dryers has a dry bulb temperature 72°C and wet bulb temperature 29.3oC (b ) for the initial conditions of the wet clothes outcome of squeeze of hand, the presence of the fan working in the space of clothes dryers is able to shorten the drying time of the clothes about 40% and can increase the rate of drying clothes about 67% (b) for the initial conditions of the wet clothes outcome of squeeze of washing machine, the presence of fan working in the space of clothes dryers is able to shorten the drying time of clothes approximately 39% and can increase the drying rate of about 65%.

Abstract

Every company puts consumers’  satisfaction as the main priority in service to win the competition among similar companies. The use of Fuzzy Quantification II for evaluating the costumers’ satisfaction of two self-service supermarkets, namely Alfa and Indogrosir, had been done. Although both Indogrosir and Alfa have the same characteristic as supermarkets, they differ in the company policies and each has their own superiorities.  The satisfaction level which are formed by several qualitative data will be transformed into numerical one. These two supermarkets are treated as an External Standard Variable ( y ) to become the objective function of purpose. There were 13 factors including the varieties and the quality of goods indicated as Parameter Variable which influence the satisfaction level. The results show that the varieties of goods are the most dominant factor for the costumers’ satisfaction. Futhermore, it shows that the satisfaction level for Alfa Supermarket is 0.69 and for Indogrosir is 0.60. Keywords: consumers’ satisfaction, fuzzy quantification, external standard variable.

Abstract

There were so many leaves waste in our environment. This reseach is conduct to study the possibility of using that waste as a raw material of Bio-briquettes. The leaves that useare mangoes, jackfruits, rambutans, and teak wood powder as comparison. Bio-briquettes were make with and without pyrolysis, for 2 and 5 gram starch. The characteristics test, flame test and water boiling test are conducted with Anglo and Biomassa Stove. The results of the test shows that only moisture content that meet SNI, but the good information that the calories of three type of leaves are more than 4,600 calories/gram, especially the rambutan leaves is 4960 calories/gram. The SNI standar for wood is 5,000 caloris/gram. The flame test results shows that at Biomassa Stove better than at Anglo, and 2 gram starch better than 5 gram. For water boiling test at Angglo is better than at Biomassa Stove, and 2 gram starch better than 5 gram.
