Abstract

Novel adsorbents are succesfully manufactured from Amorphophallus campanulatus (Porang or Suweg or Elephant Foot Yam or Foot Yam) starch. The experiment focused on detailing those morphologies and chemical bonds. Analysis with FTIR and SEM showed that PTM sample is the best adsorbent which has most stable of chemical bonding and also has more pores that influence lead adsorption phenomena

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang pemanfaatan tenaga surya untuk pemanas udara lewat penggunaan sebuah kolektor energi surya berbentuk pelat datar (Type T-39) yang dikombinasikan dengan pipa-pipa saluran pertukaran panas pada sebuah ruang pertukaran panas. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh hubungan antara efisiensi kolektor () sebagai fungsi temperatur air rata-rata (Tavg) dan kecepatan aliran air (V).Kolektor energi surya ini dirancang menjadi sebuah tipe kolektor yang tidak dapat digerakkan namun dapat berfungsi dengan baik sebagai pemanas air. Proses pemanasan alat ini menggunakan dua media yaitu pemanas udara dan air. Alat ini bekerja lewat variasi kecepatan air yang mengalir di dalam kolektor dan dengan memperhitungkan kecepatan udara yang melalui pipa-pipa saluran pertukaran panas yang berhubungan dengan kolektor tersebut, maka kondisi optimum proses pemanasan udara dapat diindikasi pada jarak-jarak tertentu antara tabung-tabung bilik pertukaran panas.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa waktu efektif pemanasan berlangsung mulai dua jam sebelum tengah hari hingga dua jam sesudahnya. Untuk pemanasan udara, sebuah persamaan umum efisiensi kolektor diperoleh melalui hubungan antara temperatur air rata-rata yang mengalir di dalam kolektor (Tavg) dan kecepatan air (V), yaitu  = 115,3336403 (Tavg)-0,097124 (V)-0,102206Persamaan diatas mempunyai kesalahan standar sebesar 0,2375%, dan berlaku pada kisaran temperatur (Tavg) sebesar 15,86 oC hingga 31,48 oC, dan pada kecepatan aliran sebesar 0,47 liter per 60 detik hingga 0,600 liter per 60 detik. Berdasarkan kondisi-kondisi operasi terapan tersebut, jumlah total transfer panas bertambah sejalan dengan berkurangnya kecepatan air di dalam kolektor yang dihubungkan dengan pipa-pipa saluran pertukaran panas. Abstract

Pempek "BU LINA" is one of the SMEs which make pempek kriting in Palembang. The crockery is conventional in making pempek kriting. Workers often have complaints on time makes pempek kriting, it is necessary to perform the design of an appropriate tool, with ergonomic aspects that can reduce the complaints of injury musculoskeletal occupational and also benefit from the financial point of initial phase of the study done by observing the conditions and process of making pempek kriting basis directly. After conducting measurements anthropometric data of workers in pempek "BU LINA", the obtained dimensions pempek kriting maker. The size is: 154.33 cm tall tool because the tool is placed on a table with a height of 60 cm tall appliance then be 94.33 cm, height container printout 96.33 cm, width 41 cm maximum tool, and great grip crank 3,35 cm. In addition to musculoskeletal complaints decreased by 42.18 %. And increasing output device that reaches 169% it is certain display devices is advantageous.

Abstract

Makalah ini membahas tentang konsep keterpercayaan komponen perangkat lunak yang merupakan salah satu pertimbangan utama bagi pengembang perangkat lunak dalam mengimplementasikan metode pengembangan perangkat lunak berbasis komponen. Pada bagian awal makalah, penulis menjelaskan mengenai konsep penggunaan ulang perangkat lunak dan kaitannya dengan keterpercayaan komponen perangkat lunak. Selanjutnya, bagian inti makalah membahas secara detail mengenai metode pengujian komponen perangkat lunak dan 4 (empat) metode yang dapat digunakan untuk mengevaluasi tingkat keterpercayaan dari komponen perangkat lunak. Di akhir makalah, penulis memberi gambaran mengenai proses seleksi komponen perangkat lunak pada domain industri.

Abstract

Bomb is an object with high destructive power. Today the bomb threat in Indonesia are common. Research earlier bomb squad robot has a weakness in the design of wireless communication and video viewer. This study tries to design a prototype robot bomb disposal by using IP cameras and wireless communication using a WIZnet based microcontroller interface ATMega8535. Video is displayed with MJPEG viewer designed using Visual Basic. The movement of the robot is set using the buttons on the monitoring software that is integrated with MJPEG viewer. From the test results obtained prototype robot can move in accordance with the existing arrangements on the monitoring system by using MJPEG as robot navigation. Robots also managed to pick up objects using a gripper simulated bomb and put it into a simulated bombing. In this study used camera is a camera that is found on android phone because of limited funds. The future can use the integrated camera with IP addressing

Abstract

In operation, the bridge structure is subjected to load variation both in the form of static load and dynamic load in variation of load intensity and frequency. In bridge structures made of steel structures, dynamic loading conditions can cause loosening of bolts, cracks and even structural failures. This paper describes the method of determining the damping bridge constant (c) by the logarithmic decrement calculation method of the vibration data generated by the impulse load. Furthermore the damping constant is used to calculate the vibration response equation of the structure along with the mass constant (m) and the stiffness of the structure (k). The mass constants are obtained by measurement whereas the stiffness constant of the structure is obtained by FEM modeling for open and closed structure models. The results of the analysis will be used to interpret the pattern of failed structures in the development of the diagnostic system. The calculation of damping constant for open and closed model is 0.07556 and 0.12513, while mass and stiffness constant for closed and open model model is 18 kg and 9 kg and 9523809.524 N / m and 183486.2 N / m for stiffness constant.

Abstract

An improved watershed algorithm based on distance-metric criteria to separate overlapping cells proposed in this study. In this study, we present a novel watershed-based method for separation of overlapping cervical cell in Pap smear images. The results will be compared with other method namely distance transform, and color morphology gradient. The result of proposed method shows not only produces accurate separating cells cluster, but also keeps the shape of cells in good form.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui produksi biohidrogen dari limbah sagu hampas di Indonesia terutama pada perlakuan pretreatment asam encer. Sampah sagu tersebut dihasilkan dari industri rumahan yang menghasilkan bubuk tapioka dari log Arengapinnata. Perlakuan pretreatment asam encer dilakukan dengan menggunakan asam sulfat (H2SO4) pada konsentrasi 0,27,3, dan 0,6 M dengan berbagai periode waktu paparan 30, 60 dan 90 menit. Setelah menyelesaikan pretreatment tersebut, sagu mengangkut limbah padat kemudian mengalami fermentasi gelap ar 30, 1 atm dan pH awal 5.0. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa total hasil gas berada pada kisaran 1 - 4 ml / g VS. Konsentrasi H2 meningkat secara signifikan pada maksimum 27,7% v. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa limbah sagu di Indonesia berpotensi menjadi sumber energi terbarukan biohidrogen.

Abstract

Calista Perkasa Mulia ( CPM ) ltd is a contracting company of the railway construction. In the project construction of double track railway Semarang- Bojonegoro period April 2012 to December 2013 , scheduling and risk management has not been implemented properly. It could been seen from the works that was not completed on schedule. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to design a project scheduling with precedence diagram method (PDM) and risk management. The results showed that one of the strategies which could be applied to anticipate the delay was the acceleration of the project. With this strategy the project could save as much as Rp730.638.742. Furthermore the risk of sources showed there were 28.21 % of technical risks, 46.15 % of not expected risk and 33.33 % unacceptable risk.

Abstract

Design work place in accordance with the organization's business processes will encourage efficiency and effectiveness of the functioning of the organization in order to achieve organizational goals. The following journal discussed the design of the layout of the office (office layout) based on business processes and organization. Structuring lay out in the building PTKS DR Plant is also concerned with the health minister of the republic Indonesia Decision No. 1405 / MENKES / SK / XI / 2002 concerning the health requirements of the work environment of offices and industry as well as the Company's internal regulations. The method used is Activity relatioship chart (ARC) ARC is based on business process organsiasi when relations between units in detail can be obtained from the job description, after a calculated area of the room with the organization of the Division of DR Plant obtained that from the extensive building area of 3,297 m2 utilized measuring 2,478 m2 and there is still a vast area of 819 m2 which can be utilized by other units in need.
