Abstract

Occupational accidents often occur in the workplace kitchens, one of which was during the times of frying. During frying one of the tools that cause accidents are prone spatula, then from it in carefully designed spatula which can reduce the risk of injury is based on the experience of the spatula by the user. Kano on the method used to determine the level of user satisfaction to the user experience in the use of a product. From other research on get 4 attribute that affects the user's satisfaction spatula users are safe from the stepping oil, spatula attributes not easily conduct heat, attributes spatula material is non-flammable and attributes spatula comfortable grip. Then make a proposal spatula design for the user, that is spatula design with hand protector, use of raw materials falcata wood combined with stainlees steel and approach anthropometric calculations to determine the amount of the dimensions of the proposed design spatula. So with spatula design in the proposal it is expected spatula able to provide security and comfort when in use by the user.

Abstract

Dua is one of the most important praying in Islam. It's such an obligatory for each moslem to perform dua before and after doing activities. Since there are many kinds of dua in Islam (e.g. dua before and after eating, dua before sleep and when wake up in the morning, dua before studying, etc), it is important for moslem to learn dua in early childhood education.  Kemendiknas RI (The Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Indonesia) have published a policy which states that  dua is a compulsory subject  in early childhood education. Herlina et al (2014) found that learning dua will be more effective by practicing it in daily life activities. This paper discuss about enacting Digital Game Based Learning (DGBL) to improve the learning method  to help students in early chidlhood education to learn dua. DGBL method is applied by developing a digital story telling application using Analyzing, Designing, Developing, Implementing, and Evaluating  (ADDIE) model. This application provides stories which give information about dua in student's daily life activities.

Abstract

Departemen Engineering adalah departemen yang sangat penting dalam PT. XYZ, karena departemen ini merupakan blue print facility yang mengemudikan operasional perusahaan. Namun, kinerja departemen ini belum pernah diukur dengan metode apapun. Penelitian ini menggunakan Balance Scorecard yang terdiri dari 4 aspek, yaitu aspek keuangan, pelanggan, pembelajaran dan pertumbuhan, dan proses bisnis internal untuk mengukur kinerja departemen engineering. Hasilnya: 1) Aspek keuangan memiliki sistem yang baik; 2) Perspektif pelanggan dianalisis menggunakan tingkat kepuasan pelanggan di mana 53,85% tidak puas; 3) Pembelajaran dan pertumbuhan dianalisis menggunakan survei kepuasan karyawan dan menunjukkan bahwa 50% puas; dan 4) Proses bisnis internal menunjukkan bahwa 66,67% dari total proyek selama tahun yang diamati telah tercapai.

Abstract

PT. XYZ adalah perusahaan pembuat kertas di Kabupaten Kudus, perusahaan ini memproduksi produk kemasan. Apabila terdapat kemungkinan kegagalan atau risiko pada setiap departemen dalam perusahaan, maka perusahaan perlu melakukan manajemen risiko untuk mengarahkan dan mengendalikan aktivitas perusahaan yang berisiko, sebagai jaminan atas tujuan strategis perusahaan. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pemeriksaan resiko pada Departemen K3 dan Lingkungan, PPIC, Pengendalian Mutu, Produksi, Pengadaan dan Pergudangan, serta departemen Teknik terkait dengan kegiatan produksi yang ada pada Divisi Papermill di PT XYZ. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). Dilihat dari risiko yang perlu segera diselesaikan dengan melihat nilai RPN, kemudian di breakdown pada matriks prioritas risiko, terdapat 10 risiko tinggi, 13 risiko sedang dan 8 risiko rendah.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the characteristic of slow pyrolysis of coal and plastic mixtures involving natural zeolite as catalyst. Coal was screened in the mesh size of -6 +8 and plastic collected from waste grocery bags were cut in small sizes. Coal and plastic were mixed together in the percentages of 0%, 10%, 20% and 30% of plastic. Coal and plastic mixtures were feeded in the fixedbed pyrolyzer with natural zeolite addition then heated until desired temperature (400oC, 450oC and 500oC) in absence oxygen. The pyrolysis vapor produced from heating was condensed by separated water cooling. The condensation liquid formed was collected and analyzed using GCMS to determain the composition of liquid fraction. This reseach results that the higher temperature pyrolyzer the higher conversion of coal and plastic mixtures is by reducing char product. In addition, by the plastic added in the coal pyrolysis enriches alkane compounds and reduces percentages of PAH compounds. The natural zeolit addition affects in the increase of percentage of alcohol compounds with the alkene compounds reduction

Abstract

One of the important programs of PT Kereta Api (Persero) in creating a quality product, both locomotives and railway carriages was to realize standard working system. Facility unit  of Regional Operations (Daop) 6 Yogyakarta, had a very important role in determining the feasibility and readiness of locomotives and carriages before leaving, which indirectly determined the safety and comfort of passengers. Care of locomotives and carriages on a regular basis to maintain locomotives and carriages were always in optimal condition. Each worker of Unit Facility should  understand and implement the SOP OHS that had been determined. SOP OHS could provide information to workers in order to carry out their duties and responsibilities with the safe and sound, so accidents and occupational diseases could be avoided, as well as to achieve the goals set by PT Kereta Api (Persero). Objective : This study aimed to determine the application of SOP OHS in Facility Unit of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 6 Yogyakarta. Methods : The method used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The subjects of this study included junior managers, supervisors, and workers carriage depot Yogyakarta, junior managers, supervisors, and workers locomotive depot Yogyakarta. Data were collected through interviews and direct observation. The data were analyzed descriptively by using triangulation of sources and methods. Results : The results showed that the policy of SOP OHS in the facility Unit of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) was created by team of Safety,  Health, and Environment (SHE) which has been reviewed and adjusted to Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO 9001: 2008. The SOP OHS Policy in the Facility Unit included (1) Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), (2) the reporting and investigation of incidents, accidents and occupational diseases, (3) inspection of work, (4) signs of K3, (5) maintenance (6) emergencies. Worker’s understanding on the facility unit in the SOP OHS was good, but the worker’s adherence to SOP OHS should  be improved. Conclusions: Application of SOP OHS in the facility unit of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop 6 Yogyakarta has met the requirements, but there were some things that must be addressed and completed.

Abstract

Citronella oil processing industry made a major contribution in improving the economy of the community, especially involve businesses, that is farmers and industrialists. Issues contained in the refining of citronella oil, one of which is requiring relatively large initial costs. The main objective of this research is to create  model of  industry system  for  citronella oil processing,  small and medium scale so as to optimize the potential and available resources. The first step taken was  identify the technologies used, determine the scale of production, how to manage and determine the variables considered to be a critical factor in the refining industry of citronella oil . As of this paper is made, a team of researchers have done several times a survey to  see manufactured machine for citronella refining  and compare the right technology so citronella oil produced is optimal In addition, researchers conducted a survey to a distillery that uses machine examined, to see firsthand how the refining machine. Stages of research conducted in a structured  from preliminary studies, the formulation of the problem and determining the purpose of research, literature studies, define the steps of research, collection of data required, and the design of industrial systems, implementation models, and the final analysis of the results of implementation and improvement models.

Abstract

Elephantiasis is a chronic disease (chronic) that could attack humans and animals, and causes a permanent disability if not immediately given treatment. Some filaria species in Indonesia include Wuchereria bancrofti, Brugia malayi, and Brugia timori. The main goal in the early treatment of people with this disease is to eradicate parasites or larvae that develop in the patient's body, so that the level of transmission can be reduced. To help identifying the type of microfilaria that develops in the body of the patient, the authors took the initiative to create a computer-assisted program that is expected to recognize microfilaria on peripheral blood preparation. In this case, there are 4 stages of analysis of the microscopic images, namely image readings, preprocessing, segmentation, and shape analysis to identity the microfilaria.

Abstract

ARP Poisoning / ARP Spoofing and sniffing will always threaten wireless network user. The rise of android-based smartphone user and internet wireless network provider, allowing smartphone users to access anything including email from anywhere they want. This paper provides an overview of comparison of security analysis between use the embedded android email application with gmail email application that is connected to wireless network, as well as providing an overview of possible attack methods. This paper also provides solutions to prevent attacks from the vulnerability found.

Abstract

Wheel hub that is produced by PT. Yogya Presisi Tekniktama is a car wheel accessory that requires right size and striking shape, hence the need for accuracy of size is a must, so control should be maintained. Quality control is the way to determine the suitability between the standards that have been determined with the finished product that has been produced by PT. Yogya Presisi Teknikatama. The Six Sigma Motorolla method is employed for quality control.  From the diameter of Well hub, it can be identified that there is still DPMO of 42,700, the ability of the process is considered low enough with Cpm = 0.675, and the production process is unstable. While, defective products are caused by 5 types of origins with  DPMO of 34.126. The highest cause of defective products is caused by "Siloek". Proposed improvements to improve product quality, among others are; the machine repair on its holding pressure. While, in terms of method, the temperature of heater should be decreased to between 1-5º C.
