Abstract

The work process in some aluminum cast aluminum craft shows a series of work that has the risk of injury. UKM Aluminum Correct Handicraft Correct in Bantul, Yogyakarta, untouched in the manufacture of household appliance such as wok as its output. SMEs are divided into several work processes, namely smelting, printing, pengikiran, lathe, brand attachment, and packing. From the results of preliminary observations, the problems encountered in the production process are with potential ergonomic hazard (ergonomic hazard). The posture and work area (less) are less ergonomic as well. The purpose of this study is the prevention of ergonomic hazards, especially with the analysis of work postures that can cause the risk of injury. The results of the work posture category on SME aluminum casting on operators 1 and 2 enter the acceleration category level 3 which requires immediate examination, while operator 3 enters in action level 2 (continued). Terms of repair work system on aluminum cast aluminum that is by changing the work station from work station stands to work station sitting stand at work station finishing and also add chair and table at work of thinking. Also note the stretching and periodic rest.

Abstract

This Seafood waste drying process using a dryer that works still manually using the solar system energy. This study uses a participatory method in its implementation using FGD (focus group discussion) involving researchers, local communities, stakeholders and experts. From interviews with local residents, obtained the problems faced by the Trisik local people because of the abundance seafood waste. Thus the researchers create a waste dryers tool that easy to use, easy to maintainen, easy to operate, and using inexpensive materials. Components of this include the buffer dryer, pulleys parabolic player, parabola, and a drying rack. Buffer serves as a buffer parabola, a drying rack, and stand pulleys parabola player. The function of pulley parabolic player is to pointing, so that it gets the focus point of the solar cell. While the parabola which serves to reflect the solar cell to the drying rack so that the heat is evenly obtained. Drying rack consists of 4 stages that serves to put the waste. Finally, getting the tools that efficiently practical, economical and ergonomic.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan output produksi harian tipe LGA Sirkuit Terpadu (IC) di PT. XYZ Batam untuk memenuhi permintaan pelanggan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Lean Manufacturing. Hasil yang ditunjukkan dengan menghilangkan beberapa limbah akan meningkatkan kapasitas.

Abstract

In a mass production system, work stationsare designed base on the production process flow. This layout is called flowshop. The advantage of flowshoplays on it simple material flow. Therefore, the material transportation time can be minimized and the total production time is shortened respectively. Generally, flowshop scheduling applies Johnson algorithm, Campbell, Dudek and Smith (CDS). Nevertheless, those algorithms are just an approach. Therefore it can’t provide an optimal solution. This article explain the flexible flowshop scheduling with Mixed Integer Programming (MIP). Every parts type scheduled will not enter the same work station and some work station are served manually by an operator that leads to a dynamics process time. Simulation is applied to estimate the process time in those work station. A case study is utilize for this purpose. The makespan of the proposed model exhibits a 14 minutes shorter that the initial time.

Abstract

This paper discusses the use of the Google Maps API to perform data visualization for Base Transceiver Station (BTS) data. BTS are typically used by telecommunications companies to facilitate wireless communication between communication devices with the network operator. Each BTS has important information such as it’s location, it’s transaction traffic, as well as information about revenue. With the implementation of BTS data visualization using the Google Maps API, key information owned by each BTS can be presented more attractive and also easier to understand. BTS data visualization supports decision-making processes related to company policies such as marketing strategy in order to increase the revenue of the company

Abstract

Batik is a visual art that integral to the cultural identity as well as illustrates the life values upon which the life of community is laid. It uses a technique of wax resist dyeing applied to whole cloth. This research aims to know the composition of beeswax that required on batik klowong and to know its effect to the results. The research used both qualitative and quantitative methods such as ingredients measurement technique, questionnaire distribution and voters calculation. The wax for batik klowong consist of beeswax, resin, and white paraffin. The beeswax is an independent variable that is varied in the composition for five different sample (10 gram, 20gram, 30gram, 40gram , 50gram). The sharpnesss of the motifs is visually analysed by six respondents. The results showed that sample D and E have better quality than the other samples. While sample A has the highest level of motifs sharpness.

Abstract

College Students as the input of a university, have different attitudes and learning outcomes from one another. Education as one way to achieve the goal, can be assessed and seen through the performance. The performance is in question is the achievement of a student focusing on college events. The performance of the students in college year not rated academically, but also nonacademic. According to some studies, the performance can be assessed with motivation, organization and soft skills. This study aims to measure the influence of motivation, organization, and soft skills of the students' performance. The focus of this research is a student in the fourthyear college or the student class of 2012, which is considered to have a lot of experience that can be measured in this study. Processing data using Structural Equation Modeling with Amos. The results of this study are, Motivation has an influence on student performance, while the Organization and Soft skills have no effect on student performance.

Abstract

Local craft industry is now starting to compete with other industries in the process of advancing the region and even the country's economy. Yogyakarta, as a tourism destination known for its traditional cultural values would be more interesting if the culture of local crafts can be more openly introduced. The high interest in the local craft makes tourists want to see, and even to try the process of making of local crafts in Yogyakarta. Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) with genetic algorithm method works by providing Yogyakarta's local craft location recommendation, from closest to farthest location that can be visited by tourists with the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) on their smartphones. Traveling Salesman Problem (TSP) with genetic algorithm (GA) method provides the best traveling route for tourists who want to find and visit Yogyakarta's local craft location in one hand.

Abstract

Making doughnut in a small-scale industry generally has a problem with inappropriate equipment and easy to be broken like using hand mixer. In its gearbox, the cylindrical worm gear usually made of plastic so that will easy to worn. With the use gearbox type bevel gear made of metal, then the mixer would able to overcome the problem of dough mixing where the gearbox of this type can overcome the large load with high rotation, so that the capacity of the mixer can be enlarged so that it will increase the results of work productivity. The design method begins with observation of the impact of performance, efficiency, needs and ergonomics and then proceed with the design concept of the tool design, calculation of the construction of the tool and its components and the last phase is testing of the tool by trial and error. Calculations were made to the components that will be assembling such as axis, pegs, bearings, bevel gear and its gear ratio, then the construction framework of the mixer and the container for the dough to be stirred. From the calculation results obtained from the capacity of the hand mixer with the use of 7 kg / hour, the bevel gear mixer can improve productivity results with a larger capacity of 18 kg / hour or increased by 225% compared to hand mixer capacity.

Abstract

Boyolali is one of a large city in central Java of Indonesia which its population increases annually by 31%. This city has several health clinic includes antenatal clinics, general clinic and a clinical laboratory. Currently the numbers of clinics to service people are 77 clinics only. In fact, this district still requires on the other of 318 clinics that have an adequate qualification. Therefore it is crucial to establish some new clinics for satisfying the specified requirements by the district government. The purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of establishing a new clinical laboratory as an expansion of the existing clinic based on aspects of market, technics and technology, management, financial, legal and environment. Survey was conducted by distributing questioner and interview to a potential stakeholder. Non parametric statistical analysis is done to test some hypotheses at 5% of significant level and 10% of margin of error. The result of this study shows that the establishment of clinic laboratory in Boyolali is feasible according to an analysis of whole aspects.
