Abstract

Pembelajaran di kelas yang tidak interaktif dapat disebabkan mayoritas mahasiswa yang tidak mampu memahami materi dari dosen, sehingga tidak muncul umpan balik dari mahasiswa. Hal ini menjadikan dosen tidak bisa secara efektif mengukur tingkat keberhasilan pembelajaran. Makalah ini mengusulkan model aplikasi gamification pada smartphone untuk pembelajaran di kelas. Aplikasi dirancang untuk menunjang interaksi dosen dan mahasiswa di kelas. Proses perancangan aplikasi dilakukan sebagai penelitian desain melalui beberapa tahap, yakni identifikasi masalah, menentukan tujuan solusi, desain dan pengembangan solusi, demonstrasi solusi, evaluasi, dan komunikasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif untuk dosen dan metode kuantitatif untuk mahasiswa. Metode kualitatif menggunakan wawancara untuk mengukur kesiapan dosen dalam menggunakan TI serta pengalaman gamifikasi dalam pembelajaran. Metode kuantitatif menggunakan kuesioner COLLES yang dikombinasikan dengan skala penilaian kesiapan Aydin dan Tasci. Kuesioner COLLES digunakan untuk mengukur capaian mutu, pengetahuan dan keaktifan mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran berbantuan aplikasi. Pengukuran dilakukan pada enam variabel, yaitu Tutor Support (nilai 3.98), Peer Support (3.94), Relevance (3.65), Interactivity (3.72), Reflection (3.42) dan Interpretation (3.57). Nilai rata-rata pengukuran berada pada rentang antara 3.5 dan 4.2, yang bermakna “siap namun perlu sedikit perbaikan”. Hasil wawancara dan kuesioner tersebut menjadi dasar perancangan model aplikasi gamification pada smartphone untuk pembelajaran di kelas.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry has been growing rapidly at this time, it can be seen from the number of manufacturing companies that have emerged and growing. Obstacles often occur over production activity in a manufacturing company is a long setup times and product quality in production activities which will indirectly affect the output product to be produced. The longer of the setup activities will result in the output of products which are getting smaller. Improved product quality and minimize setup time can be done either by the use of tools manufacturing which is often known as jigs and fixtures. This paper will discuss the design of jig and fixture for manufacture products cover on-off. Jigs and fixtures are designed to be used for the process drilling for three holes. Jig and Fixture design results can provide a reduction in total time of manufacture of the product, product quality improvements, increased productivity and cost saving product manufacture for products cover on-off.

Abstract

Global warming caused by greenhouse gas emissions, e.g. carbon dioxide (CO2), in the atmosphere is now becoming a very serious problem facing the world community. Carbon dioxide emission increase from year to year, thus a necessary effort to reduce CO2 is required. Amine-based absorption is one of the methods for post-combustion capture. Monoethanolamine (MEA) is commonly used for CO2 capture solvent. This study aims to measure protonation constant (pKa) of MEA from 30 to 60°C using the potentiometric titration method. The results show that the pKa values of MEA are in general agree with the literature data. For instance, the pKa value of MEA at 30°C is 9.83 and that obtained from the literature is 9.80. Comparison between those two values gives a deviation of 0.22%.

Abstract

Triacetin is a product from reaction between glycerol and acetic acid on acid catalyst. The use of solid catalysts such as ion exchange Lewatit is an alternative method to ease product separation. Synthesize of triacetin was conducted in a batch reactor with stirring speed of 175 rpm, at temperarture of 100oC and the reactant ratio of 6 mole acetic acid / glycerol. The effect of concentration catalyst and reusability of catalyst were investigated. The highest conversion obtained for 84,84 % in catalyst concentration 5% to weight of glycerol. The result showed that comparison of catalyst concentration give real effect to the conversion of glycerol into triacetin, while the reusability catalyst does not give a significant effect on glycerol conversion be triacetin.

Abstract

Demand for Islamic business capital loan by UMKM especially in BMT, has increased. On the other hand there are facts of nonperforming loans that harm the BMT. A rigorous selection of MSMEs is required to apply for loans. During this time, the selection process is done by analyzing applicant data manually and based on the intuition of credit analyst. And to provide accurate selection results are not enough human intuition alone, especially if faced with a large number of applicants. The solution is to use Decision Support System approach (SPK) which will give consideration of computer technology-assisted decision by processing data applicant and analyze its feasibility. SPK combines two methods of MCDM namely Simple Addictive Weighting Method (SAW) and Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS). Assessment criteria used are 13 criteria / sub criteria: character, responsibility, personal habits, honesty, level of religiosity, business management, business equipment, human resources, business location and monthly income. The results obtained are selected 2 SMEs who are eligible to receive sharia capital credit credit BMT from 25 sample data, the loan applicant's feasibility analysis is presented with a ranking format. The final decision is decided by the BMT as the decision maker. Based on the test results, the accuracy of the SPK in giving recommendation of business loan grantee is 76%.

Abstract

In Indonesia the yield of sawmill industry waste is about 50-60%, the 15 up to 20%  of this waste consists of wood powder and so far there is not an optimum utilization.  This experiment was conducted in order to process wood powder of jackfruit into activated carbon as adsorbent of heavy metals in the wastewater treatment. Activated carbon processing was performed at various temperature. Instrumental analysis was carried out with SEM-EDX and FTIR to determine the characteristics of the activated carbon. The size of pore diameter was measured with SEM, resulted macropore surface pores. Infra red spectra showed nitrile triple bond C≡N and hidroxyl bond O-H. Based on those bonds, activated carbon from jackfruit could be an adsorbent of acid gas and water. The best conditions resulted adsorption capacity of methylene blue 55 mg/g with percent removal 40.70%

Abstract

The government is encouraging small businesses to improve product quality by adjusting its product in accordance with the Standar Nasional Indonesia (SNI-Indonesian National Standardization). Halal is one aspect of quality, especially in the food and beverage products, which is considered in Indonesia, due to most of Indonesian is Moslem. This research was aimed to develop halal marketing strategies for specific SME (Small Medium Enterprise) that produced “wedang uwuh” beverage and gluten-free flour in Yogyakarta. The SME is called SMEs Progress Jogja. The marketing strategy in SMEs Progress Jogja was developed using a questionnaire that distributed to stakeholders. The tools which for analysis were SWOT matrix and QSPM. There are three expected strategies by the SMEs Progress Jogja that should be selected. The strategies were expanding the market share (especially by exploiting the defense of government), developing/increasing product variation, and also preserving the quality and the halal requirement of products. Then, the chosen strategy that was selected by using the priority matrix QSP is to expand market share.

Abstract

Usability is a key factor that determine success of a product or interactive system, like smartphone. The increasing use of smartphone and its rapid technology development, requires usability evaluation method that is more accurate and effective to found usability problem, so it can be used for product improvement in development process. This study suggests a usability evaluation method that is most effective to identify problem in smartphone usage. Three usability evaluation methods that commonly used are compared in this study, including: think-aloud evaluation (TA), cognitive walkthrough (CW), and heuristic evaluation (HE). This study involved 15 smartphone users as participants and 16 usability experts who is also a smartphone users as evaluators. The results showed, among the three usability evaluation methods, heuristic evaluation (HE) has the highest effectiveness and severity methods, while cognitive walkthrough (CW) and think-aloud evaluation (TA) still has potential for further development.

Abstract

Mikroalga saat ini dipromosikan sebagai bahan baku biofuel generasi ketiga yang ideal karena laju pertumbuhannya yang cepat, kemampuan fiksasi CO2 dan kapasitas produksi lipida yang tinggi; Mereka juga tidak bersaing dengan makanan atau tanaman pakan, dan bisa diproduksi dilahan yang tidak dapat dipanen. Mikroalga mampu menghasilkan 15-300 kali lebih banyak minyak untuk produksi biodiesel daripada tanaman tradisional berdasarkan area. Selanjutnya dibandingkan dengan tanaman konvensional yang biasanya dipanen sekali atau dua kali setahun, mikroalga memiliki siklus panen yang sangat singkat, sehingga menghasilkan banyak atau panen terus menerus dengan hasil panen yang meningkat secara signifikan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengevaluasi sifat fisikokimia dan komposisi minyak yang diambil dari dua jenis bubuk mikroalga kering, Nannochloropsis sp. Dan Tetraselmis sp. Bio-oil diekstraksi dari sampel alga kering. Ekstraksi bio-oil dilakukan dengan ekstraksi pelarut dengan mencampur pelarut kloroform-metanol. Komposisi minyak alga ditentukan dengan analisis kromatografi gas. Hasilnya menunjukkan 20-29% jumlah minyak disemua sampel alga. Tetraselmis sp. Menunjukkan jumlah minyak maksimal 28,1%.

Abstract

Sugar is one of the main sources of sweeteners and is widely used in the community. As one of the main ingredients in Indonesia, sugar demand in Indonesia has always increased along with the increase of population and industry growth in Indonesia. Meanwhile, sugar production in Indonesia can not meet domestic demand. Technically, the process of making glucose syrup is relatively simple and can be done by small or medium industries. But in fact glucose syrup producers are almost big industries. This is due to the development of a simple and cheap machine for making liquid sugar. Therefore, it is necessary to develop equipment to produce liquid sugar made from raw cassava, which can be used by small industry to develop liquid sugar industry. The process of making liquid sugar from cassava is divided into three namely the process of making tapioca, liquification and saccharification process and the process of tanning & filtering and evaporation. In this paper we will discuss the design of tapioca processing equipment which is part of the liquid cassava production equipment made from raw cassava that can be developed by small industry. With this equioment, the community can design a small industry of liquid sugar processing. This equipment aims to process cassava into cassava slurry. It is developed by using the principle of grinding and solvent. The processing capacity is designed to be 300 kg / hour.
