Abstract

The study aims to examine how the direct instruction model was used to increase the students’ achievement. This study is a classroom action research which consists of three cycles. The subjects were the eleventh graders of social science 3 at SMA Negeri 1 Ngoro.  The findings reveal that the students and teacher’s learning activities are good and the students’ learning mastery increase in the three cycles. Moreover, most of students agreed on the use of direct instruction.

Abstract

This study is intended to find out how role playing as a learning model is implemented to increase the students’ learning mastery. The subjects were the ten graders of APK 1 SMK Negeri 10 Surabaya consisting of 40 students. The data collection method used in this research was descriptive qualitative. The method classroom action reseach method. The findings show that the students were actively engaged in the learning process and the students’ learning mastery increased in each cycles, namely, 50%, 75%, 87,5% dan 95% respectively.

Abstract

The current study is to describe the use of accounting student-work sheet through tutorial approach for the eleventh graders of social science major at SMA Negeri 2 Magetan. The subjects were the eleventh graders of social science major in class 1 and 2. The data were collected with questionnaires and documentations. The data were then analyzed descriptively by dercribing, explaining, and exploring the the use of students work sheet and tutorial approach. The use of student-work sheets through the  tutorial approach was conducted in three meetings. The results show that the students responded positively to the use of the student-work sheet through tutorial approach.

Abstract

The study is intended to investigate the influence of eleventh graders’ learning ways and motivation on the learning results in accounting class at SMKN 1 Mojoagung Jombang. The subjects were 111 students in eleventh grade of accounting major at SMKN 1 Mojoagung. The data were collected with questionnaires and documents of accounting scores. The data were then analyzed with stepwise multiple regression. The results of the study revealed that the learning ways and motivation simultaneously affect significantly the learning results.

Abstract

The current research is to investigate the implementation of the remedial program for the students who had not achieved the minimum learning mastery. The study is a classroom action research consisting of three cycles. The results of the study reveal that the teacher’s skill in managing the classroom and remedial program was good. The remedial program could enhance the students’ activities in learning process. The students’ learning mastery also increased in the three cycles; 91,42 %,,  91,89 %,, and 94,59% respectively. The use of remedial program was also considered positive by the students.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the individual internal and external factors of entrepreneurial interest. Data were obtained from questionnaires. Respondents in this study were students Economics Department of Education Unesa in the academic year  of 2005. The data were then analyzed by using factor analysis. The results indicate that students’ interest in entrepreneurship is influenced by four factors, which is obtained by reducing the 21 variables. Reduced variables include business skills, cooperative skills, optimism and committment, financial, social, service, business experience, motive of achievement, management skill in business, taking advantages of personal skills, creativity and innovativeness, high morale, future-orientation, not getting quickly satisfied, high discipline, always looking for opportunities, independence, ability to regulate emotions, not getting easily discouraged, formal education, teacher educators.

Abstract

This study was intended to make a mapping of cooperatives in ex- Besuki region using  ICA Grid  Model, recommended by International Cooperative Alliance.  A module of supervision and development was then composed based on the mapping. The data were elicited with questionnaires.  The sample was selected with a proportional stratified random sampling technique. The findings reveal that the average of cooperatives in Jember municipality was at quadrant I, meaning that the cooperatives were ideal, whereas cooperatives in Bondowoso were poor because most of them were at quadrant II.  By average, the cooperatives in Situbondo were also at quadrant II, meaning that they had implemented cooperative principles but they remained uncompetitive. Furthermore, the cooperatives in Banyuwangi were relatively better than those in Bondowoso and Situbondo.

Abstract

The current research is intended to examine the use of Number Head Together (NHT) of cooperative learning model to enhance the learning achievement of accounting lesson. This study is a classroom action research which consists of three cycles. It is found that Number Head Together (NHT) is able to increase the learning achievement of the students. This can be seen from the results of each cycle in which the learning achievement in cycle I reaches by  66,67%,  in cycle II 78,57%,  and cycle III 90,48%. Furthermore, the students showed positive response to the use of the NHT, which can be seen from the fact that 95,24% of the students enjoyed the NHT learning.
