Abstract

ABSTRACT Russia was the largest independent Soviet republic in 1991. In an attempt to gain Russian influence over other former Soviet Union countries, Russia focused its attention on those countries. Kyrgyzstan is one of the countries located in Central Asia, which has great potential in the military field. The emergence of the United States in Kyrgyzstan by setting up a military base since 2001, has prompted Russia to seek to eliminate the influence of the United States in Russia. To maintain the stability of the Russian hegemony in Kyrgyzstan, Russia undertakes various ways in both politics, economy and security. To maintain the stability of Russian hegemony, Russia has the most focus on military security in Kyrgyzstan. Abstract

ABSTRACT The study was based on concerns of Japan through JICA (Japan International Cooperation Agency) in the conservation of the site as we know Indonesia is one country in ASIA which has Mangrove forest widest,because of a lack of awareness of the public on the importance of mangrove forests and their functions mangrove forests eventually many mangrove forests are dying and unkempt. After comprehensive research, it can be seen in the role of JICA Program The project For Mangrove Ecosystem Conservation And Sustainable Use in theASEAN Region (MECS). In this advanced program JICA has a role as a conduit means and held a workshop on how your way of preserving and caring for the mangrove forests are good in order not to die. Here, JICA also inviting countries - other countries to participate in this program for sharing mangrove problems in their country and how they handle it.  Keywords: JICA, MECS program, Pelestraian mangrove forests, Share and Learning

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aims to describe Japan’s attempts in accomplishing their economic interest through investation in Myanmar by using qualitative method. Japan encounters the declining human resource which causing labour shortage. This phenomenon leads Japan’s manufacturers to a major bankruptcy. Through Japan’s cooperation with Myanmar, Japan aims to expand their manufacturing companies in Myanmar in order to gain Myanmar’s labour force. However, there’s a large gap between the skill of Japan and Myanmar’s human resource. The researcher uses the concept of Foreign Policy and Infrastructure Investment as the framework. This research perceives that infrastructure investment impacting the skill of human resources and helps the expansion of Japan’s manufacturers in Myanmar. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research aimed to describe United States’ strategic alliance towards Japan. As China’s economic has rapidly grown, its military capability has also increased. United States saw this phenomenon as a threat and also an opportunity. United States then announced the rebalancing policy as a response to the rise of China. Rebalancing strategy provided United States to do certain approaches to Asia Pacific countries. Those approaches were aimed to United States’ partners and also China. Japan has been one of the United States’ strategic partners in Asia Pacific. The military relations between United States and Japan are based on the Japan-U.S. Security Treaty. Japan is also one of the United States’ partner that has issues involving China. United States’ military protection of Japan is essential regarding to Japan’s territorial dispute with China. Abstract

ABSTRACT As a big country who known has many of rich nature resources, Indonesia is an agrarian country who produce many food crops for example is rice plant. Apart of surplus harvest, Indonesia government continuously do rice import from other countries for example is Thailand to fulfill the domestic stockpile. This research was made to find the things that determines the foreign policy, and also the other positive effect of the connection on the bilateral transaction between the two countries. This research was made using domestic determinant concept, foreign determinant concept, and also comparative advantage. Key Word: Indonesia – Thailand, rice, determinants of foreign policy, comparative advantage.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The EPA Cooperation between EAC and European Union has been conducted for over than 10 years. The cooperation reached its full agreement in 2014 and is planned to be signed in 2016. EPA is a free trade cooperation to remove obstacles such as tariffs. But at the time of signing, Tanzania as one of the members of EAC, refused to sign the EPA cooperation. Tanzania considers the EPA not to have a positive impact on its domestic condition. Tanzania wants to focus and build on the domestic economy, and if it signs the EPA it will make the aims and interests disturbed. This study aims to illustrate the domestic factors affecting Tanzania's foreign policy. This study is using the concept of determinants of foreign policy through domestic factor and external environment. The focus of this study is from 2014 to 2016. Abstract

ABSTRACT Intervention of Russia to Ukraine at the end of 2013 has caused a long period of conflict. This conflict has given impacts on social, economics and political sectors in both countries. This research analyzes the impacts of Russia and Ukraine conflict on Russia’s tourism industry in 2013 – 2015. This issues discussed by answering question to what extend Russia and Ukraine conflict caused impacts to Russia’s tourism sector. Data for this study were collected from various sources including, literary sources, news and reports. Data were analyzed with tourism studies in international relations and foreign policy theoretical frameworks. The analysis shows that the Russia – Ukraine conflict does not only give a serious impact on the socio-political life, but also affect the tourism sector of Russia. These occurred because there have been strong reactions against the Russia’s intervention by the international community in the form of economic sanctions and travel warnings. Russia’s decline in the tourism sector after the outbreak of the conflict shows that the tourism sector is integrated with international relations. Abstract

ABSTRACT Economic tensions experienced by Russia due to EU sanctions affect trade relations with the EU. The decline in Russia's export capability has resulted in Russia's trade being much lower than the EU. This positions Russia on a negative trade balance that creates imbalances in the dynamics of Russian and EU trade. Assessing the impact of these economic sanctions, encourages Russia to respond to EU economic sanctions in 2014-2015. The results of this research describe Russia's response to EU economic sanctions by using economic power in the form of economic statecraft. Economic statecraft carried out by Russia is a negative sanction in the form of an embargo on agricultural and food products from EU member countries. Abstract

ABSTRACT This research to identify what strategies the China use in their efforts to claim the Doklam region. This identification is based on the characteristics that contained in every China action and behavior related to the Doklam conflict. The issue of territorial conflict in the Doklam region is an old issue since1960s has heated up again in 2017 when China was exposed doing road construction in Doklam. This was criticized by Buthan and India who considered China to have committed a violation by carrying out road construction in Doklam area that was still in a disputed status or quo status. This analyzed with the concept of territorial conflict to explain what benefits can be obtained from the ownership of Doklam and the concept of salami slicing strategies to describe what components are in accordance with China actions and behavior can be used to identify the strategies that China uses. Abstract

ABSTRACT Coral triangle area is one of the centre world biodiversity. The region served as source of livelihood, coastal organism breeds location, and also contribute in address global warming issue. However, the coral triangle area, experienced severe damages caused by destructives human activity . Refers to the currents circumstance, Indonesia call for collective engagement to save the biodiversity in the region. The efforts finally resulted in the form of cooperation Coral Triangle Initiative on Coral Reefs Fisheries and Food Security (CTI-CFF) by the six member of CT6. Indonesia persistently make the CTI-CFF as fundamental building block for well established cooperation amongst state member in the region. This research would like to analyse the factor that triggered active role involvement by the Indonesia government in the CTI–CFF. There are several concept to be used in this research, such as rational model actor and internal-external factor.
