Abstract

The aim of this research was to apprehend the characteristics of physics mid semester test instrument which has been arranged. Research method used bydescriptive method.  Procedures used are adopt the procedure of arranging the test by Djemari Mardapi. Its use qualitative analysis technique which consists of aspect materials, construction, and language, and quantitative analysis using the program MicroCat Iteman  version 3.00 to determine difficulty level, determinant indeks and effectiveness of detractors. The results of the test arrangement was an objective test in multiple choices form with five answer choices of 40 items. Time allocation of test doing was 90 minutes. Characteristics of final arranged test are: 1) difficulity level: 42,5% medium category and 57,5% difficult category; 2) determinant indeks: 5% excellent category, 35% good category, 25% satisfactory category, 27,5% poor catagory dan 7,5% very poor; 3)effectiveness of detractors: 95% four distractors functioned, dan 5% tri distractors functioned. The final result is about 60% received and 40% revised. Key word: Test arrangement, difficulty level, determinant indeks and effectiveness of detractors

Abstract

The purpose of the application cooperative learning’s model is increasing learning activity and physics cognitive skill of class X-6 of SMA MTA SURAKARTA’s students 2011/2012 through the application of cooperative learning type jigsaw’s model in the process of learning physics. The research used Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. Each cycle in CAR is started with plan, then continued with implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of the research are 32 students of class X-6 of SMA MTA SURAKARTA 2011/ 2012. The data are collected through observation using the students learning activity observation sheet and documentation research from the result of students cognitive test, then it is analyzed ina descriptive qualitative manner. From the result of the research, it can be conclude that the implementation of Cooperative Learning Type Jigsaw’s model can increase the learning activity and cognitive skill of the students of class X-6 of SMA MTA SURAKARTA 2011/ 2012  in the process of learning physics. By emphasizing the treatment to the chance giving to the students to deliver their idea or opinion in the group discussion inside and outside the class, especially in the dormitory, and active in seeking and utilizing a variety of learning resources, so it can be seen that instudent’s learning activitiesof learning process  in the initial condition is always increase in the first and second cycle. By limiting score of 60, the percentage of completeness on the initial conditionsof student learning activity by 12.5%, then in the first cycle become 50% and in the second cycle increase up to 84.375%. Similarly, the aspects of student’s cognitive abilities are always increase. By emphasizing on the actionin the form of mentoring and group discussion learning both inside and outside the classroom, especially in the dormitory, Alpha and optimizing the use of learning resources, especially books and the internet, so it can be seen that there is an increase in students cognitive abilities with the passing grade of 70. In the initial condition the percentage of the completeness of students test result by 18,75 %, then increase in the first cycle by 25%, and increase again by 72% in the second cycle.   Keyword: cooperative learning, Jigsaw, learning activity, cognitive ability.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menyusun dan menghasilkan instrumen tes diagnostik untuk mengungkap miskonsepsi siswa dalam materi Fluida dan Teori Kinetik Gas di Sekolah Menengah Atas kelas XI semester genap. Penelitian ini dikategorikan sebagai penelitian pengembangan. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah tes diagnostik untuk mengidentifikasi miskonsepsi Fisika pada siswa. Model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model pengembangan 4 D (four D model) oleh S. Thigarajan, Dorothy S. Semmel, dan Melvyn I. Semmel. Model pengembangan 4D terdiri atas 4 tahap utama yaitu: (1) Define (Pendefinisian), (2) Design (Perancangan), (3) Develop (Pengembangan), dan (4) Disseminate (Penyebaran). Obyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 2 SMA Negeri 6 Surakarta dan siswa kelas XII IPA 4 dan 5 SMA Negeri 1 Kartasura. Hasil draft awal sebanyak 56 butir soal tes diagnostik yang sudah di validasi teoritik. Validasi empiris dilakukan dengan dua kali uji coba. Uji coba I digunakan soal sebanyak 56 item dengan bentuk soal pilihan ganda alasan yang telah ditentukan. Selanjutnya dilakukan revisi soal berdasarkan hasil analisis dan wawancara terhadap siswa. Uji coba II digunakan bentuk soal pilihan ganda alasan terbuka dengan dua tipe soal, yaitu A dan B. Jumlah soal untuk masing-masing tipe adalah 33 butir soal. Uji coba I diperoleh nilai reliabilitas cukup, yaitu 0,41. Artinya, instrumen tersebut tingkat keajegan dalam mengungkap miskonsepsi siswa adalah cukup. Uji coba II dihasilkan nilai reliabilitas cukup, yaitu 0,611 untuk soal tipe A dan 0,6 untuk soal tipe B. Artinya, instrumen tersebut tingkat keajegan dalam mengungkap miskonsepsi siswa adalah cukup.Dari Penelitian dihasilkan instrumen tes diagnostik untuk mengungkap miskonsepsi materi Fluida dan Teori Kinetik Gas dengan dua tipe soal yaitu A dan B. Bentuk soal pilihan ganda dengan alasan terbuka dengan jumlah soal masing-masing tipe adalah 33 butir soal. Kata kunci: Tes diagnostik, miskonsepsi, Fluida, Teori Kinetik Gas

Abstract

Tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menghasilkan produk media pembelajaran Fisika menggunakan software Macromedia Flash Pro 8 yang memenuhi kriteria baik pada pokok bahasan Suhu dan Kalor. Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model prosedural yaitu model yang bersifat deskriptif yang menunjukkan langkah-langkah yang harus diikuti untuk menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran.Data diperoleh melalui angket, tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran menggunakan Macromedia Flash Pro 8 pada pokok bahasan Suhu dan Kalor yang telah dikembangkan, termasuk dalam kriteria baik untuk dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran(dari penilaian ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa memberikan rata-rata penilaian 83,62%). Abstract

Blended Learning models have been applied in form of. This Class Action Research is in two cycles. It’s aims to improve : Student creativity  a class VIII A SMP Negeri 1 Mantingan school year 2012/2013 on Style of Materials. Data obtained through observation, interviews, creativity tests, making outline (summary), presentation, questionnaires, and review of documents. It’s used quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The conclution are : (1) Blended Learning can increase students creativity. It can be seen from average scores on the questionnaire students creativity in learning physics increased from 67.35 in pre-cycle, 81.30 first-cycle, and 89.22 in second-cycle. (2) Blended Learning models can improve the student creativity. It can be seen from the increased value of average student creativity tests of is 57.52 in pre-cycle, 60.35 first-cycle, and 77.74 in the second-cycle. It is also shown from the increasing of the average scores in making outline (summary) by the students that is 67.83 first-cycle and 77.61 second-cycle, while the average percentage of scores is 68.70 first-cycle and 75.43 second-cycle.These results have met the demand of Minimum Completeness Criteria (KMK) of SMP Negeri I Mantingan that is 70. Abstract

The objectives of this study are: (1) Obtaining the information about the results of the analysis cognitive competence achievement of the application level (C3) and analysis level (C4) in learning Physics at XI grade of second semester in RSBI program of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta in the 2011/2012 Academic Year, (2) Obtaining the information of the difficulties experienced by students and their contributing factors in achieving cognitive competencies of the application level (C3) and analysis level (C4) in learning Physics at XI grade of second semester in RSBI program of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta in the 2011/2012 Academic Year. This study used a qualitative descriptive research. This study was conducted at SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta and the subjects were students of class XI IPA 5 and XI IPA 7. The sampling technique used were purposive sampling and snowball sampling. This study used testing, interview, and documentation for collecting the data. Because of the data analysis technique used in this study was Miles and Hubermen model, so that the activity in the data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. Based on the data analysis and discussion, in this study can be concluded that: (1) The results of the analysis of cognitive competence achievement of the application level (C3) and analysis level (C4) in learning Physics at XI grade of second semester in RSBI program of SMA Negeri 3 Surakarta in the 2011/2012 Academic Year, as follows: (a) Level of cognitive competence in application level (C3) has reached 70,92% or in satisfactory category; (b) Level of cognitive competence in application level (C4) has reached 69,45%, or in  poor category. (2) The students difficulties in achieving cognitive competence of application level (C3) and analysis level (C4) in Physics and its causes learning difficulties, was shown from the mistakes made by students in answering questions, as follows: (a) At the cognitive level of application (C3) caused by two factors, namely: (i) Students have not been able to identify the relevant information, shown from the interpretation error made ​​by the students in doing the test; (ii) Students have not mastered the rules to get a solution, shown from the misconception and the strategic error made by the students in doing the test. (b) At the cognitive level of analysis (C4) caused by two factors, namely: (i) Students have not been able to separate the idea into parts or elements, shown from the strategic error made ​​by students in doing the test; (ii) Students have not understood the relationship of all parts thoroughly, shown from the misconception, and the sign error made ​​by the students in doing the test. The implication of this research is that teachers can find or develop innovations in teaching Physics that students cognitive competence can be improved. In addition, teachers can find a solution to overcome the difficulties of students in learning, such as by conducting remedial teaching. Abstract

This research aims to (1) develop a multiple choice formative test for the Odd Semester XI Grade of Acceleration Program corresponding to the existing Standard Competency and Basic Competency, (2) to develop the outline of multiple choice formative test for the Odd Semester XI Grade in Kinematics material with Vector Analysis, Gravitation And Harmonic Movement in Elastic Object, (3) to develop the multiple choice item of for formative test of the Odd Semester XI Grade of Acceleration Program in Kinematics material with Vector Analysis, Gravitation And Harmonic Movement in Elastic Object, and (4) validating the result of formative test instrument development for the Odd Semester XI Grade of Acceleration Program in Kinematics material with Vector Analysis, Gravitation And Harmonic Movement in Elastic Object either qualitatively and quantitatively. This study was a developmental research using Research and Development method. Techniques of analyzing data used were a descriptive qualitative technique with item study by the expert and a quantitative technique using Microsoft Excel program. The test development was done by studying the item by the expert, and then revising its validation. The test instrument consisted of 64 items that had been tried out for its validity. In the smaller group tryout, 40 items had good quality, and 24 items should be revised. The revision of the items with poor quality (24 items) was done continuously until the expert considered that these had been good for being tried out along with the 40 valid items to the larger group. The physics formative test of odd semester XI grade of Acceleration Program that had been developed consisted of 3 material for mid-semester including Kinematics with Vector Analysis, Gravitation And Harmonic Movement in Elastic Object. The instrument development was initiated by making an outline corresponding to the syllabus of National Education Service for the XI grade. The development of outline was also needed to facilitate the administration of student competency’s track record (authentic assessment).  The physics formative test of odd semester XI grader of Acceleration Program that had been validated indicated the test instrument corresponding to the characteristics of good physic test. The test instrument developed had good content validity, high item reliability, for Kinematics with Vector Analysis material (Package 1) had reliability of 0.810710 belonging to very high category, for Gravitation material item (Package 2) had reliability of 0.6844 belonging to high category, and for Harmonic Movement with Elastic Object material had reliability of 0.824764 belonging to very high category. The variance was measured using discrimination index indicating that all results were supported, D > 0,3. The difficulty level of item fell into moderate category 0,3 ≤ P ≤ 0,7, and confounding coefficient functions well. From the development of physics test of the Odd Semester XI Grade of Acceleration Program, 64 items were obtained with good quality.   Keywords: development, formative test, Physics for XI grade, Acceleration Program

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis IT berbentuk permainan ular tangga yang baik untuk materi Fisika SMP kelas VIII materi Alat Optik. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan metode research and development (R&D). Model pengembangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah model prosedural yaitu model yang bersifat deskriptif, yaitu langkah-langkah yang harus diikuti untuk menghasilkan produk berupa media pembelajaran. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara, angket dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan dari penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis IT berbentuk permainan ular tangga untuk materi Alat Optik siswa kelas VIII SMP yang telah dikembangkan termasuk kriteria sangat baik. Hasil penelitian ini dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media pembelajaran (Hasil kualitatif ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa memberikan rata-rata penilaian 86,48 %). Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Macromedia Flash, Game Komputer.
