Abstract

This study aims to know the use of Field Trip learning methods to improvestudent learning outcomes in High Class Science courses. This type of research is ClassAction Research. The results of the study show that in the first cycle data obtained fromstudent learning outcomes in a classical still low, namely from 31 students there wereonly 3 people (9.68%) with very good learning outcomes, and 5 people (16.13%) withcategories good, 12 people (38.71%) in sufficient categories, while student learningoutcomes in the category of less than 11 people (35.48%). Then after the second cycle,with the application of the Field Trip learning method student learning outcomesincreased to 6 people (19.35%) with very good learning outcomes, 17 people (54.84%)with good categories, whereas with the category there were only 7 people (22.58%), butthere is still one person (3.23%) whose learning outcomes are still relatively poor. Basedon the results of testing hypotheses conducted by the researcher, conclusions wereobtained by using the Field Trip learning method that could improve the learningoutcomes of primary education students in the Quality University in the High ClassScience Education course.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar IPS yang diperoleh siswa. Ini disebabkan model dan strategi dalam pembelajaran kurang dilaksanakan dengan baik dan siswa kurang dilibatkan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan meningkatkan: (a) hasil belajar siswa kelas IV MI pada mata pelajaran IPS, (b) penggunaan model pembelajaran picture and picture pada mata pelajaran IPS di kelas IV.  pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui: (a) tes tertulis, (b) wawancara, (c) observasi, dan (d) catatan lapangan. Penelitian dilakukan dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdiri tahapan penelitian tindakan kelas, yaitu: (a) tahapan perencanaan (planning), peneliti menyusun suatu perencanaan yang menjelaskan tentang apa, mengapa, kapan di mana, oleh siapa, dan bagaimana tindakan tersebut akan dilakukan  (b) tahapan tindakan (action), kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah melaksanakan pembelajaran sesuai dengan skenario pembelajaran yang telah disusun dengan mengutamakan tindakan yang ingin diterapkan yaitu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan model picture and picture (c) tahapan pengamatan (observation), dilakukan untuk mengetahui kesesuaian tindakan dengan rencana yang telah ditetapkan sekaligus mengetahui sejauhmana tindakan dapat menghasilkan perubahan yang sesuai dengan yang dikehendaki dan (d) tahapan refleksi (reflection), Hasil yang didapatkan dari tahap tindakan dan observasi dikumpulkan dan dianalisa, sehingga diperoleh suatu kesimpulan dari tindakan yang telah dilaksanakan. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi subjek adalah siswa MI kelas IV sebanyak 32 siswa. Tindakan pada siklus I yang berhasil sebanyak 21 siswa (65,63%) sedangkan siswa yang belum berhasil sebanyak 11 siswa (34,37%), dan skor rata-rata 69,68. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan siswa pada tindakan siklus I ini dalam memahami materi berdasarkan tingkat keberhasilan masih tergolong rendah atau belum tuntas. Pada tindakan siklus II yang telah berhasil dalam belajar sebanyak 28 siswa (87,5%), yang belum tuntas sebanyak 4 siswa (12,5%) dengan skor rata-rata 85,31. Dengan demikian dapat diketahui bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam memahami materi perkembangan teknologi transportasi di lingkungan kabupaten/kota dan propinsi serta penggunaannya sudah berhasil atau tuntas. Berdasarkan data di atas peneliti menyimpulkan bahwa hipotesis penelitian diterima.   Kata kunci: Hasil belajar IPS dan model pembelajaran picture and picture

Abstract

Abstract: The application of the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) to increase the activity and learning outcomes of PPKn subject in grade IV PPKn MIN Medan in 2014/2015. Thesis, Graduate Program, State University of Medan (UNIMED).      This study aims to determine the increase of the activity and learning students outcomes of PPKn subject, in the material PPKn globalization, material with methods Problem Based Learning in 2014/2015. This research is a class act who use procedures for implementing the action research by model Hopkins, research was conducted in two cycle includes four stages for each cycle, namely: (1) planning; (2) implementation; (3) observation; (4) reflection. Subjects in this study were students of class IV, amounting to 31 students, consisting of 15 girls and 16 boys. Data collection techniques using achievement test in the form of essays by 10 matter and observation of student activity sheets. The data collected were analyzed by using qualitative and quantitative analysis. Results of research conducted concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) is proven to improve student learning outcomes of PPKn subject on globalization material in class IV, it is proved from: 1) an increase in students' learning activity by 23% through the application of the method of Problem Based Learning ( PBL) on globalization in the fourth grade material that is in the first cycle are 58.06% of students were classified as active learning and the second cycle increased to 80.65% of students were classified as active learning. 2) an increase in student learning outcomes by 54.8% after the first cycle measures implemented than before the action value is the average pretest before the given action at 13.94 with classical completeness percentage of 0% and after the first cycle of action, learning outcomes PPKn increased with an average value of 60.29 with the percentage posttest completeness 54.8%; The next after repair in the second cycle, student learning outcomes increased by 32.3% compared to the first cycle, the average value posttest second cycle of 73.61 with a percentage of 87.1% completeness. From these data we can conclude learning theory proposed by Dewey that students are given a stimulus in the form of the problem and then the students were asked to respond to that aims to solve problems raised Dewey's theory underlying an act of the model problem based learning. Vigotsky Lev theory and Piaget is a theory that supports the activities of the activities of the student, they argue bahwasannya where children have the innate potential to become familiar with the environment which raises the curiosity of children to new experiences that challenge them to provide solutions. This is evident in the improvement of student learning activities each cycle. Grand theories put forward by Bruner is a theory that became the cornerstone of the instrument is given to the students' achievement test using cognitive domains C1-C6; proven to improve student learning outcomes. As the conclusion of this study, by using a model of problem-based learning could improved the activity and learning outcomes of PPKn subject in grade IV  MIN Medan school Year 2014/2015

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi pentingnya pengembangan bahan ajar membaca yang mampu meningkatkan keterampilan membaca siswa. Sebuah bahan ajar membaca yang baik hendaknya mampu meningkatkan minat baca siswa, memotivasi siswa untuk berpatisipasi secara aktif dalam pembelajaran, dan mampu meningkatkan keterampilan siswa dalam memahami isi bacaan. Berdasarkan hal tersebut dikembangkan bahan ajar membaca berbasis kooperatif tipe kooperatif tipe Cooperative Reading Integrated and Composition (CIRC) dengan pengintegrasian pendidikan karakter. Tujuan yang hendaknya dicapai dalam upaya pengembangan bahan ajar ini adalah untuk menghasilkan bahan ajar membaca yang valid, praktis, dan efektif. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development).  Model pengembangan  yang digunakan adalah model 4-D yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (development), dan penyebaran (disseminate). Data penelitian dari uji validitas diperoleh melalui lembar validasi bahan ajar. Data kepraktisan dikumpul melalui angket respon guru dan siswa dan wawancara dengan guru. Keefektifan dilihat dari aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa berupa penilaian karakter dan keterampilan membaca siswa. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dari uji validitas yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar membaca yang dihasilkan telah valid. Hasil observasi, angket, dan wawancara dengan guru juga menyatakan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran ini praktis. Pada tahap uji efektivitas, didapatkan hasil rata-rata perkembangan karakter siswa telah menunjukkan kategori mulai berkembang. Hasil penilaian keterampilan membaca untuk penilaian keterampilan proses juga telah berada pada kategori sangat baik, dan didapatkan hasil bahwa lebih dari 75% siswa berhasil mencapai Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM). Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar membaca berbasis kooperatif tipe Cooperative Reading Integrated and Composition (CIRC) dengan pengintegrasian pendidikan karakter untuk kelas V SD yang telah dihasilkan dapat dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif. Kata kunci: pengembangan bahan ajar membaca berbasis circ, pengintegrasian pendidikan karakter.

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) Differences in science learning outcomes of students who are taught by the Inquiry Method and students' learning outcomes of science taught by Conventional methods; (2) Differences in science learning outcomes from students who have high learning motivation with students who have low learning motivation; and (3) Interaction between learning methods and learning motivation towards student science learning outcomes. The type of this research is quasi-experimental. The results of the study show that: (1) The students 'learning outcomes taught by the Inquiry Method are higher than the students' learning outcomes taught by Conventional methods (F count = 1.749> Ftable = 2.65); (2) There are significant differences between the learning outcomes of science students who have high learning motivation with students who have low learning motivation (F count = 1.351> Ftable = 2.64); and (3) There is an interaction between learning methods and learning motivation towards students' science learning outcomes (F count = 1.303> Ftable = 2.66).

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out that through classroom supervision supervision techniques can improve teacher performance in implementing a realistic approach at SD Negeri 094130 Dolokmaraja. This school action research was carried out in 2 cycles with the application of a Realistic Approach. The subjects of the study were 641 elementary school teachers from Dolokmaraja. Data collection methods are used, observation sheets, observations, and photos. Based on the results of the study that the action cycle I obtained an average grade of 76.1. In the second cycle, the average value of the class was increased by 91.9 and the observation value of the teacher's activity increased to reach 100%. Thus it can be concluded that through the supervision technique of class visits the application of a realistic approach increases.

Abstract

Influence of Guided inquiry Learning Method and Creativity for Science Learning outcomes of Students  Elementary School No. 105292 Bandar Klippa regency Deliserdang. This research aims to determine: (1) the influence of the guided inquiry learning  and expository method for science learning outcomes of students; (2) the influence of creativity for science learning outcomes of students; and (3) the interaction between  the learning method and creativity for science learning outcomes of students. This research was conducted for students Elementary School No 105292 in 2014/2015 academic year. The sampling technique used by  random sampling, so that this study sample in each study group consist of 27 people for the experimental and 26 control group. The research method which is used  a quasi experiment with 2 x 2 factorial. Analysis technique which is used is the variance analysis of two lanes with a significant level α = 0.05 by F test, Barlett test, Future test use Scheffe test. The findings show: (1) there is a significant of the learning method  for science learning outcomes of students in SDN No 105292 of Bandar Klippa ( F count> F table = 4.39> 4.04); (2) there are significant of creativity for science learning outcomes of students in SDN No 105292 of Bandar Klippa (Fcount> F table = 32.93> 4.04); (3) there is a significant  interaction between teaching method and creativity for science learning outcomes of students in SDN No 105292 Bandar Klippa, A1B1 = 91.43 and A1B2 = 78.54 while A2B1 = 84.07 and A2B2 = 79.75. 2x2 factorial ANAVA calculation results obtained on calculations Fh = 8.60 and  Ft = 4.04 confidence level α = 0.05 so it can be expressed Fh (8.60)> Ft (4.04), the hypothesis has been verified by this research.

Abstract

Knowledge is important in the child development process because knowledge is the basis of  attitudes and self skills formation . Familiarizing children to build their own knowledge  early  can make them capable for finding ideas to solve problems, having good self-confidence  and initiative. Children are active beings who can build their own knowledge through play. When playing, child exploring, finding and utilizing the objects around them  to be meaningful. Exploring objects enable the assimilation and accommodation process occur in forming new schemes. Constructive play is one of the game that is exploring objects. By constructive play it is possible for the child to acquire knowledge through assimilation and accommodation process, so the game can help the child form a new scheme based on the experience as well as generate knowledge.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that student learning outcomes have not been maximized. The purpose of this study is the effect of Make A Match Learning Model Against Student Learning Outcomes in Natural Science Subjects in Class VI SD Negeri 060937 Medan Johor. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 060937 Medan Johor. The population of this research is all students of Class VI of SD Negeri 060937 Medan Johor, with a total of 50 students and the study sample is divided into two parallel classes. Data collection tools used are tests and data analysis used are normality test, homogeneity test and hypothesis testing using an Independent Test between two factors. From the results of data analysis, it was found that the learning outcomes of students in the subject matter of Natural Sciences Magnet material and its properties after using the Make A Match Learning Model in Class VI SD Negeri 060937 Medan Johor, obtained an average value of 82.57 and student learning outcomes in the subjects Science of Magnet Material and Its Properties after using Conventional Learning in Class VI Medan Johor State Elementary School, obtained an average value of 76.23. Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of Make A Match Learning Model Against Student Learning Outcomes in Class VI SD Negeri 060937 Medan Johor.

Abstract

Application Snowball Throwing Mode In The Increase Student Achievement In Speaking On The Seventh Class Of Junior High School Al Washliyah 8 Medan. In this research purposed to increase students achievement in speaking by Snowball Throwing mode on the seventh class of junior high school Al Washliyah 8 Medan. This research focused on the increasing speaking aspects linguistics or non linguistics in the learning process. This research do in the SMP Al Washliyah 8 Medan at May until July 2013. The subject of this research is the students of VII SMP Al Washliyah 8 Medan, the amount are 40 student and the object in the research is to increasing the students speaking skills in learning Indonesian Language. This research is classroom action research. This research do by collaborative and participative collaboration with Indonesian language teacher seventh class, she is miss. Wiri Sunarwani S.Pd. To collecting the data using by speaking, observation, interview and digital for getting documentation. This research using analyses descriptive quantitative which support  by quantitative data. The real of data getting from trying credibility, transferability, dependability and confirmability. According to the research result, the students achievement in speaking has done by implementation action by Snowball Throwing mode and has increased, that increase can see by indicator of product success. The success of  learning can see by passive student and just silent, but after using these mode in the learning, student become more active and have confident when asked for speaking in front of the class. Beside that when the test done shows the speaking achievement and confidents of the student has increase step by step, from the circulation which has done . the result of the score showing has increased at the speaking achievement at the circulation 58,9 increase to the first 77,3 and increase to the second 98,4. So we conclude that, after doing action implementation mode by Snowball Throwing mode get increasing at each circulation. Using this mode learning can helping the student become brave to expressing their idea with fluently. Next, the student can increasing thinking action which critic, logic, systematic and by themselves.
