Jurnal Tematik merupakan media komunikasi para akademisi, guru dan pemerhati dunia pendidikan dalam perspektif kependidikan. Jurnal tematik merupakan hasil penelitian, refleksi dan kajian kritis yang aktual berkenaan dengan tema-tema pendidikan, seperti kebijakan atau regulasi pendidikan, kurikulum, inovasi pembelajaran (kajian materi, pendekatan, model, metode, media dan evaluasi belajar) dalam ruang lingkup pendidikan dasar. Terbit tiga kali dalam setahun yakni April, Agustus dan Desember. Terbit pertama kali untuk edisi April 2012. Jurnal Tematik adalah jurnal berkala ilmiah berisi tulisan yang diangkat dari hasil penelitian pendidikan dasar pada fokus aspek-aspek yang berkaitan dengan kependidikan. Jurnal tematik merupakan jurnal nasional bermitra bestari yang diterbitkan tiga kali setahun dalam bentuk cetak dan online oleh Program Studi Pendidikan Dasar Pascasarjana, Universitas Negeri Medan, Indonesia. Abstract

This study aims to find out the effect of discovery learning strategy and students’ learning style on students’ character.  This study use quantitative approach  with experimental quasi method.  This study is conducted in class V of SDN 064015 and SDN 0960873 in Medan City with population and sample are 120 students.  Data of study is obtained through attitude test in the form of questionnaire.  The result obtained in this study shows that there is interaction between Discovery learning strategy and students’ learning style on students’ character.  The result of interaction between learning strategy and students’ learning style in this study is 0.000 < 0.05 significantly which means that the enhancement of students’ character in experiment class is better if compared to control class.  This shows that Discovery learning strategy and students’ learning style is very influential to students’ character.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of think talk write learning methods on the ability to think creatively and student activities in Civics Education in SDNegeri No.060856 Medan City. This type of research is quasiexperimental. The population of this research is class V students consisting of 2 classes with 60 students. Determination of the sample with a total sampling technique that is the whole class V-A and V-B students with a total of 60 people. Research instruments to measure creative thinking skills are used tests and observation sheets for student learning activities. Data analysis techniques used a comparison of the average of two sample groups. The results of the study are that there is an influence of TTW and conventional learning methods on students' creative thinking abilities. This influence is evidenced by an increase in students' creative thinking skills during learning activities that is students dare to express new ideas, like to think of different ways, show desires through the activities that they try themselves, like to demonstrate new things, like to do things that are not known beforehand, and students dare to reveal the answers even though they do not know the truth of the answers. So there is an influence of TTW and conventional learning methods on student learning activities.

Abstract

Improved Learning Outcomes Of Physical Education On Subject About Various Efforts In Keeping Clean Environment Through Application Cooperative Learning Model Jigsaw Type  In Class IV SD State 53 Banda Aceh Academic Year 2012/2013. The background of this research is the maximal activity of fourth grade students in the learning process in subjects physical education subject matter of keeping the environment that lead to learning outcomes most of them have not reached the KKM. This occurs because the educators still tend to use conventional learning models in each lesson with variations in other words the lack of use of the learning model in teaching and learning activities. This study aims to determine: 1) how the application of the Jigsaw cooperative learning model in studying the subject physical education subject matter keeping the environment in the fourth grade Elementary School 53 Banda Aceh, 2) if the jigsaw cooperative learning model to improve learning outcomes of students in penjasorkes fourth grade in the subject matter keeping the environment in the fourth grade Banda Aceh State 53 2012/2013 academic year.  This research is Classroom Action Research (Classroom Action Research) aimed at improving student learning outcomes, especially in subjects dribble subject matter in order to achieve a minimum completeness criteria (KKM). The method used was action research in two cycles. The research was conducted in the fourth grade Banda Aceh State 53 Academic Year 2012/2013, amounting to 32 students. Data collection techniques using the test, interview and observation sheet. The results of the study at the time of the pretest obtained average value of student learning outcomes at the time of the pretest with classical completeness 0% with an average of 32.5. Increased by using cooperative learning model jigsaw, student learning outcomes can be improved which can be seen from the results of student learning classical completeness reached 65.63% with an average of 61.88 in the first cycle and increased to 100% with an average of 89 , 69 in the second cycle.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to observe whether : (1)knowing process  implementation of learning by using Student Facilitator and Explaining Model, (2) the improvement of learn mathematic result throughStudent Facilitator and Explaining Model by subject of FPB and KPK. This study was held at SD Negeri 060798 Medan Area Selatan by subject students of grade IV having 22 students. This study used classroom action research. The results showed that there was increase learn mathematic result studentsfrom cycle I to cycle II. Percentage increase learn mathematic result from cycle I to cycle II is 19,72% with average 59,24 increasing becaome 73,87.

Abstract

This study aims to improve vocabulary mastery using the TPR method with charade games media. Type of this research is Classroom Action Research. There were 26 students in grade 3 of SD Negeri Pabelan 1 studied. The research instruments used were teacher observation sheets and residuals, as well as structured tests. The results showed that there was an increase in the activities of teachers and students from cycle I and cycle II by applying the TPR method with an average score of teacher activity not experiencing an increase or a decrease of 10 with a percentage of 100%, both in cycle I and cycle II. The average score of student activity has increased, in the first cycle the average score of student activity was 25.5 with a percentage of 63.75%, then in the second cycle the average score increased to 36 with a percentage of 90%. While the completeness of vocabulary mastery in the first cycle of students who reached KKM (minimum passing grade) amounted to 17 students or 65% then increased in the second cycle which reached KKM of 24 students or 93%. Thus, the TPR method with charade games media can improve student vocabulary

Abstract

Teacher Performance Improvement In The Ability Of Learning Through Setting Strategies Workshop Activities (Measures Research In SDN 2 Bies  District Central Aceh Academic Year 2013/2014) This study aims to: (1) to determine the workshop can improve the ability of teachers in preparing instructional strategies; (2) to determine the role of the workshop in enhancing the ability of teachers to teach in Elementary School 2 Bies Central Aceh District; (3) to determine any obstacles encountered in the implementation of the workshop to enhance the ability of teachers to implement learning strategies in Elementary School 2 Bies Central Aceh District; (4) to assess the efforts made by the head of school at SDN 2 Bies Central Aceh district in improving the ability of teachers to implement learning strategies. This study is an action research (action research) that aims to improve teacher performance through a learning strategy workshops at SDN 2 Bies. Actions to be taken is the preparation of the workshop learning strategy. The selected action research is emancipatory kind. Emancipatory type is considered the most appropriate because the research is done to solve the problems on their own research work areas based on daily experience. The subject of this study are teachers at SDN 2 Bies Central Aceh district totaling 16 people, consisting of: 10 the male teachers and 6 female teachers. While the object of study is the performance of the teacher in preparing learning strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran HOM dan RME terhadap kemampuan pemahaman relasional, peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman relasional siswa yang diajarkan dengan HOM dan RME, pengaruh model pembelajaran HOM dan RME terhadap mathematics anxiety. Penelitian berbentuk Pre-Experimental Design dengan rancangan Two Group Pretest-Posttest. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu tes kemampuan pemahaman relasional, angket mathematics anxiety dan lembar pengamatan. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t dan gain score. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pengaruh HOM lebih baik dibandingkan RME terhadap kemampuan pemahaman relasional, hal ini berdasarkan thitung (=3,081) lebih besar dari ttabel (=1,671), peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman relasional siswa yang diajarkan dengan HOM lebih tinggi dari RME, hal ini berdasarkan gain score dan karakteristik model. HOM menggunakan alat peraga yang dieksplor, sedangkan RME menggunakan masalah kontekstual berbentuk cerita, pengaruh HOM lebih baik dibandingkan RME terhadap mathematics anxiety, hal ini berdasarkan thitung (=-1,219) lebih kecil dari ttabel (=1,671). Kata kunci: hands-on mathematics, realistic mathematics education dan mathematics anxiety

Abstract

The research aims to (1) describe how the implementation of the scientific approach in shaping the students spiritual skills for V grade student in primary schools 163080 and 163084 Town Tebingtinggi, (2) describe what the factors supporting and inhibiting  the implementation of scientific approach  in shaping the spiritual skills fifth grade students in primary schools 163080 and 163084 Town Tebingtinggi. Subjects in this study is teachers and 30 students of the fifth grade in primary schools 163080, teachers and 31 students of the fifih grade in primary schools163084 Town Tebingtinggi. The results showed that in theory teachers already know about the scientific approach, but in practice the teacher is not optimal, from observing the process until the end of learning. Spiritual skills of students in two primary schools Town Tebingtinggi obtained who had achieved quite well for V grade student at two primary schools in the district Town Tebingtinggi showed that of 27 aspects of spiritual skills observed oly 15 aspects that can be implemented quite well. But 12 more aspect can not be done well enough. Thus the implementation of the scientific approach in shaping the students spiritual skills in two primary schools in the district Town Tebingtinggi can be achieved quite well. But it still need improvement in some indicators that have not been achieved by students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop butterfly metemorposa teaching materials andPAUD children's activity sheets. This type of research is research and development usingthe van den akker model. The results of this study indicate that the validation of textbooksand children's activities is very good and the children's understanding of butterflymetamorphosis teaching material has increased. This can be seen through initial tests andfinal tests. in the initial test of the country of Trustees 2 there were 22 children or 62.85%in the sufficient category. After the initial test carried out computer-assisted engineeringlearning and using textbooks and child activity sheets developed by researchers, the finaltest results obtained by the Trustees 2 Public PAUD were 25 or 71.42% of children or665.72% and Pembina 3 PAUD of 25 children or 78.13% fulfill the permendiknamandate 58 of 2009, from this result there is an increase for PAUD Pembina 2 by 30%while Negeri Pembina 3 PAUD increases by 35%. So that the impact of using textbooksand child activity sheets and computer-assisted engineering learning can improvechildren's learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstrak Program pendampingan guru di SDBI AL Azhar bertujuan untuk melatih guru: (1) menguasai sejumlah terhnical terms yang digunakan di dalam setiap topik materi; (2)  menggunakan media pengajaran berbasis ICT; (3) menggunakan Bahasa Inggris yang benar dalam memberi penjelasan dan instruksi. Subjek pendampingan adalah guru mata pelajaran Matematika dan Sains. Pelatihan dan pendampingan menghasilkan RPP yang berisi: (1) technical terms yang diperlukan dalam setiap topik; (2) ujaran-ujaran berbahasa Inggeris yang diperlukan dalam memberi penjelasan; (3) ujaran-ujaran berbahasa Inggeris yang diperlukan dalam memberikan instruksi: (4) media pembelajaran berbasis ICT; dan (5) lembar kerja. Pelatihan dan pendampingan juga telah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam pengucapan dan menumbuhkan rasa percaya diri dalam menggunakan Bahasa Inggeris di kelas. Secara kelembagaan, kemandirian dan rasa percaya diri guru dalam merancang RPP sendiri telah meningkatkan kinerja sekolah.   Kata kunci : RPP, tehnical terms, SDBI Al-Azhar Medan
