Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate (1) the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PjBL) method on the cooperation skills of elementary school students and (2) the significant difference in cooperation skills between students who followed PjBL and those who followed expository learning. Using a quasi-experimental design with a non-equivalent control group of fifth-grade students, this study divided the sample into two groups: the experimental group using PjBL and the control group applying the expository method. The measurement of cooperation skills was done through observation sheets, with normality and homogeneity tests to ensure the suitability of the data. Data analysis used a paired sample t-test to compare changes in cooperation skills in the same group before and after treatment, and an independent sample t-test was used to compare cooperation skills between experimental and control groups. The results showed that PjBL significantly improved students' cooperation skills compared to the expository method, with a significance value of 0.000 for both tests, which confirmed the effectiveness of PjBL in improving students' cooperation skills compared to the expository method.

Abstract

This research is motivated by students' inability to solve problems and express ideas, and students find it challenging to develop their abilities, especially in learning Indonesian. So, students need to be able to solve problems with their abilities. In this case, the education system must realize that students can think critically, communicate well, collaborate, and be creative. This research aims to describe the 4C abilities (critical thinking, communication, Collaboration, Creativity) of SDN 193 Pekanbaru students in learning Indonesian. This descriptive qualitative research uses data collection techniques, observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. The results show that students at SDN 193 Pekanbaru have 4C abilities, which include critical thinking skills, communication, Collaboration, and Creativity. However, even though students already have the 4C skills, there are still students who have not been able to master these four abilities due to a lack of interest in developing their skills, and at SDN 193 Pekanbaru, there are inclusion students. In this case, teachers always guide and hone students' abilities through various learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop and validate the EKSIS product, a learning media based on ecosystem materials designed to introduce the concept of ecosystems to third-grade elementary school students. The research method used is Design and Development (D&D), with the ADDIE development model consisting of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The validation instrument consists of a five-point Likert scale assessment sheet to measure the quality of the product from two main aspects: product design and content material. The validation results show that EKSIS received an average score of 5 for both assessed aspects, placing it in the "excellent" category. The product was deemed relevant to learning needs, supported curriculum achievements, and had an effective design that engaged students and enhanced their understanding of ecosystem materials. Based on these findings, EKSIS is considered suitable for use in the learning process. The use of this product is expected to help introduce the concept of ecosystems and provide an engaging and in-depth learning experience for students. This research significantly contributes to developing innovative learning media that align with educational needs in the digital era.
