Abstract

This study aims to determine the creative thinking skills at optic instruments of Sundanese tribe, 11th-grade students. This research is a case study research conducted at a high school in Majalengka district, West Java. Totaling 32 students consisting of 12 male students, namely “Aa”, 20 female students, namely “Teteh”, and 18 Sundanese, the rest are immigrants. The instrument used is the Test for Creative Thinking-optical instrument (TCT-OI) which has existed validated by experts. The data found were investigated with Rasch Analysis Model (RAM). Based on the results of the analysis using the Rasch Analysis, it was found that the creative thinking ability of students stayed static low can be shown by the value of Person reliability which is 0.21 included in the weak category. There are variances in the level of creative thinking skills of students from the Sundanese and non-Sundanese tribes. As a result, it is necessary to develop creative thinking skill on the optical instrument, 11th grade students Sundanese tribe

Abstract

The development of IoT-based innovative learning media to improve student competence is needed in the era of industrial revolution 4.0. This study aims to develop an electrical practicum e-module using the Arduino Uno experimental tool to get valid, practical, and effective criteria. The research method uses R&D with four D models. The development stage consists of the stages of defining, designing, developing, and limited dissemination. Data analysis used descriptive analysis with Aiken V. The results showed that the e-module get the criteria of high validity with index V = 0.87. 60% of the total number of students responded positively to the media, and 40% were very active when using the media, so the modules developed were considered practical. The effectiveness level of the module shows that 100% of the students get a higher learning outcome value than the learning completeness score, so it can be concluded that the e-module has met the effective criteria.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pemahaman konsep dan konsistensi mahasiswa dalam menggunakan konsep saat menyelesaikan soal fisika pada topik jarak benda dengan penyajian dalam format multi representasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Penelitian dilakukan pada 138 mahasiswa sarjana fisika tahun pertama di Universitas Negeri Malang. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari 24 soal pilihan ganda. Soal dibuat dalam empat format representasi yakni (1) representasi matematis, (2) representasi tabel, (3) representasi grafik, dan (4) representasi visual (diagram gerak). Artikel ini membahas kemampuan mahasiswa dalam menentukan jarak tempuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep jarak tempuh objek masih rendah yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai rata-rata mahasiswa hanya 26,63 dan 97 (70,29%) mahasiswa tidak konsisten dalam menyelesaikan soal. Dari keempat format representasi, mahasiswa mengalami paling banyak kesulitan ketika menyelesaikan soal dalam format representasi matematis dan representasi grafik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan parameter butir soal Fisika materi Usaha dan Energi menggunakan pendekatan item response theory (IRT) penskoran dikotomus dan politomus. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 1175 siswa SMA kelas XI yang tersebar di provinsi Jawa Barat dan Banten yang terdiri 450 siswa laki-laki dan 725 siswa perempuan. Data respon dengan penskoran dikotomus dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan teori respon butir dengan program BILOG-MG sedangkan untuk penskoran politomus dianalisis dengan pendekatan GPCM menggunakan program R guna mendapatkan informasi tentang tingkat kesukaran, daya beda, kecocokan butir, estimasi kemampuan peserta didik. Hasil uji kecocokan model menunjukkan bahwa butir soal paling banyak fit dengan model 2PL. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa parameter butir soal Fisika materi Usaha dan Energi dengan penskoran dikotomus menunjukkan keseluruhan butir memiliki kriteria butir baik dan dengan penskoran politomus menunjukkan hampir seluruh butir kategori baik

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan PjBL terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis dan berpikir kreatif peserta didik dalam pembelajaran Fisika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah meta-analisis. Meta-analisis adalah penelitian yang dilakukan dengan cara merangkum, mengkaji dan menganalisis data dari beberapa penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Sampel penelitian ulang terdiri dari 17 artikel yang sudah memiliki ISSN. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menghitung effect size dari setiap artikel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa pengaruh penerapan PjBL terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan berpikir kreatif siswa dapat disimpulkan. Pertama, penerapan PjBL di kelas XII lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan kreatif siswa dibandingkan di kelas X dan XI dengan effect size 2,51. Kedua, penerapan PjBL pada materi Induksi Elektromagnetik lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dengan effect size 2,51 dan penerapan PjBL pada materi gelombang bunyi lebih efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dengan efek ukuran 3.43.

Abstract

Dalam ilmu fisika terdapat banyak persamaan matematis dan konsep abstrak yang sulit dipersepsikan secara indra oleh peserta didik. Hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan memberikan visualisasi baik dalam bentuk visualisasi diam seperti gambar, grafik, dan foto maupun dalam bentuk visualisasi bergerak seperti video, pemodelan, dan animasi. Pada penelitian ini, akan dilakukan pemodelan gerak parabola dengan ketinggian awal tertentu menggunakan GUI Matlab untuk melihat respon waktu tempuh, jarak tempuh, dan kecepatan benda. Selain itu akan dilakukan variasi nilai parameter sudut pelemparan dan kecepatan awal. Hasil menunjukkan pemodelan gerak parabola menggunakan GUI Matlab memiliki tampilan menarik dan fitur yang dapat diubah sesuai keinginan pengguna (user). Objek yang dilempar pada ketinggian awal tertentu akan menempuh jarak terjauhnya saat sudut pelemparan awal sebesar 30°, dan akan menempuh jarak terpendeknya saat sudut pelemparan sebesar 60°. Pengembangan kode matlab pada pemodelan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran kualitatif sebagai pendukung pemahaman secara kuantitatif gerak parabola, dimana selama ini buku teks hanya menekankan pada aspek kuantitatifnya

Abstract

Aliran dam sawah identik dengan materi dinamika fluida, yaitu mempelajari tentang fluida dalam kondisi mengalir. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi konsep dinamika fluida pada aliran dam sawah daerah Cluring kabupaten Banyuwangi Jawa Timur. Langkah penelitian ini diawali dengan pengumpulan data primer hasil dari pengamatan langsung di lapangan, selanjutnya melakukan perhitungan matematis menggunakan persamaan kontinuitas untuk memperoleh data sekunder berupa kecepatan dan debit aliran dam sawah. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengukur kecepatan dan debit aliran dam sawah menggunakan metode apung. Hasil identifikasi konsep dinamika fluida pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hubungan antara luas penampang terhadap kecepatan aliran air dam sawah berbanding terbalik. Semakin besar nilai luas penampang, kecepatan aliran yang dihasilkan akan semakin kecil, demikian juga sebaliknya. Perbandingan debit aliran air dam sawah berdasarkan waktu pengukurannya memiliki perubahan nilai yang signifikan, sedangkan perbandingan debit aliran air dam sawah berdasarkan pada jenis penampangnya memiliki perubahan nilai yang relatif konstan. Hasil identifikasi konsep dinamika fluida pada aliran dam sawah tersebut sesuai dengan rumus dan teori persamaan kontinuitas

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic caused the learning process to carried out online, and to improve students' analytical skills, it was necessary to have supporting media in the online learning process. So that this study aims to determine the feasibility of physics learning media using Sparkol Videoscribe assisted by PhET simulation to improve students' analytical skills in terms of the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of the media developed. This study uses the ADDIE research model, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subject of this research is the students of class X MIPA MA Syamsul Huda Kedungreja. Data collection techniques used are validation sheets, student response questionnaires, observation sheets, and learning outcomes tests. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the validation results obtained from the validator expert get a value of 3.84 by material experts and 3.85 by media experts include a very good category, so it can be said to be valid, (2) physics learning media using Sparkol Vvideoscribe is practical because it can be carried out in limited trials and broad trials well, and gets a positive response from students, (3) the results of the analytical ability test increase learning outcomes with an N-gain of 0.71 including the category high, so it is declared effective. Thus the physics learning media using sparkol videoscribe assisted by PhET simulation in this study is declared valid, practical, and effective so that it is feasible to use it to improve students' analytical skills

Abstract

This research aims to explain the level of misconception experienced by students identified by the Four-Tier Diagnostic Test based on the JotForm for each subconcept of heat and heat transfer. The subject of this research were students of class XI MIPA 1 and MIPA 2 with a total of 78 students as respondents. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive research type. The research instrument is in the form Four-Tier Diagnostic Test questions using JotForm. Data collection techniques through shared links are then carried out by respondents with the help of Google Meet to monitor respondents and through interviews. The results of data acquisition are interpreted using an interpretation table and calculate the percentage of each category. Based on the results of the overall data acquisition, it shows that students in class one experience misconceptions in the moderate level category, while in the class other in the law level category. The highest percentage of misconceptions for each subconcept of heat and heat transfer experienced by students is in the concept of temperature. The data from this research can be used as a source of information regarding misconceptions that occur in heat material and heat transfer that need to be addressed in order to reduce the potential for misconceptions and efforts to overcome them.

Abstract

During the Physics learning processes, students often have difficulty in understanding the concepts so that misconceptions occur. This is what was found in the Light Wave concepts when the Authors did the pre-research at one high school in Nganjuk. For example in Light Diffraction, students assumed that light diffraction be able to bending when it passes through all slit size, does not produce interference, and new waves. The truth is, diffraction in Light Wave occurs when light bends through a small slit and is characterized by interference and a new wave pattern. The misconceptions that occur in the Light Wave have the potential to hinder students' understanding of the following concepts, so they must be detected immediately. This article intends to report the results of writing the five-step conception diagnostic test on the Light Wave concepts, examine its feasibility, and then use it to map students' understanding concepts, as well as to identify the most dominant internal factors that lead students' misconceptions. Based on the feasibility test results, ten valid and reliable questions were selected so they can be used to test students' conceptions. The details are: the internal validity 96% (very valid), the external content validity consists of Correct Fake and Incorrect Fake scores are 3.3% and 4.5% (<10%) respectively, the construct external validity (rxy)=0.416>rtable=0.2638, and the reliability (r11)=0.796 (very reliable). Of the 19 students that were mapped using this feasible diagnostic test, 61.05% of them experienced a lack of knowledge.
