Abstract

Jiwo Hills, Bayat is one of the three place in Jawa that pre-tertiary and paleogene rocks are exposed, the other two are at Karangsambung, Central Java and Ciletuh, West Ja-va. These rocks consist of metamorphics, igneous and sedimentary rocks where some of them able to proposed as geotourism sites.The spesific rocks outcrope and olso its spe-cific relation exposed at Bendungan, Sekarbolo, Watuprahu, Bukit Temas and Bukit Jo-kotuwo. The oldest rocks at the Jiwo Hills is pre-Tertiary Phillyte Lithodem, its consist phyllites, mica schist, chlorite schist and marble that unconformably covered by Eocene Gamping-Wungkal Formation. Phyllite Litodem and Gamping-Wungkal Formation are cutted by some Late Eocene to Early Oligocene (39.8, 33.2 dan 31,3 Ma) basaltic oroge-nic dyke. These thee litologic units (formation) are unconformably covered by Oyo For-mation that concist of calcarenite and marl stratification. The Geotourism sites in the Jiwo Hills are the ideal places for the object study and researh for students and geologists. At last, we propose to preserve all the object geotourism at the Jiwo Hills as natural labora-tory for earth sciences.

Abstract

Balanced score card is one of the most popular company performance measurement methods applied in various organisations. This performance measurement sistem was begun with strategic goal determination from finance perpective, customer perspective, internal business process perspective, learning and growth perspective that was derivatived from vision, mision, and company strategy. Then it can be stated Key Performance Indicator (KPI) from each strategic goal. The objectives interrelated was shown at strategy map which needs evaluation with specific integrity technique. The approach that is usually used to find that integrity is AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) which pretend a independence link between the performance measurement elements. In fact, each perspective encounter dinamicaly interaction to reach performance. That is why in this research will be suggested the usage of MCDM (Multicriteria-Decision-Making) method Analytic Network Process (ANP) which accomodate perception that strategy perspective elemen that is become organisation has an interrelated effect to one another. The implementation of Performance Measurement System with Balanced Score card method in this industry is become studied got finance perspective can be stated two objectives and two KPI, for customer perspective stated four objectives and four key performance indicators, for internal business process perspective agreed seven objectives and nine key performance indicators. Perspective that is considered important is customer perspective (0.404). the second place is financial perspective (0.241), then internal business process perspective (0.227) and learning and growth perspective (0.128).

Abstract

A rich organization never warrants its member to get wealthy. It will depend on human resources empowering including floor labors that has strategic position in achie-ving organizations goal. Fluctuations of employee’s productivity performance will hardly controllable if the organization had no standardization of work. One kind of standardiza-tion of work is Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) that contains technical procedure of activity and it parametric measurement. To analyze trend of employee’s performance ti-me, computer simulation will assist to know the tendency of data that so called with com-puter simulation analysis. The result of analysis will be followed by productivity improve-ment method such as Critical Path Method (CPM). Inexistence of SOP in Balai Yasa PT. Kereta Api Yogyakarta (BY YK) will be followed up by making Standardization of work in the term of SOP using work time standard measurement consideration. By using simu-lation analysis approach that resulting very good performance of employee in BY YK. This advantageous indicator gives information ability of production improvement. By u-sing Standardization of work time and implementation of CPM able to reduce 21% of total time in assembling locomotive or approximately 158 minutes. The combination of both method results critical path of locomotive assembly activity starting from activity A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H ,I ,J ,K , L, M , N, O, P, Q, R,S, T, U,V, X, Y.

Abstract

Land movements or landslides represent one of the geologic hazards. It is often occur in Indonesia including Kebumen area. Landslide is much related with geologic lineament. The aim these study to know the relation between landslides with geologic lineament. Landslide distribution is obtained by field survey; geologic lineament is obtained by interpretation of digital TM land sat. Dominantly, the geologic lineaments of this area are northwest – southeast ward and southwest – northeast ward. Those are related with tectonic. Most of landslide occurrences at research area reside at geologic linement zona. Landslide also influenced by slope, lithology, landuse and rainfall. Landslide type in research area is creeping, slump, debris slide, debris fall, rock slide, rock fall, earth slip, and subsidence. Research area has high potentiality of landslide; it is done mitigation.

Abstract

The velocity structure of S wave under South-East Asia and South China Ocean due to earthquakes in Sumatra-Java subduction zone which data is recorded in TATO, Taiwan seismological station, has been investigated through seismogram analysis in time domain and three components simultaneously. The synthetic seismogram was calculated using GEMINI method, with the inputs are the earth model and the CMT solution of the earthquakes. A low-pas filter with corner frequency of 20 mHz was applied on the seismograms. Applying the deconvolution of unit response on the synthetic seismogram the seismogram comparison was executed in the same unit. The seismogram comparison indicated that the calculation from PREMAN synthetic seismogram deviates significantly from the measured ones. The deviation occurred on the arrival time of surface wave of Rayleigh and Love as well as S body waves. The interpretation results of seismogram analysis using waveform indicate that non-tectonic South-East Asia area in front of subduction zone has strong negative correction of v in the upper mantle and with smaller factor also at earth layers below. This result shows stronger vertical anisotropy than one in PREMAN earth model.

Abstract

Aluminium is a light metal which has a very good physical and mechanical properties and it easy to be formed. Casting of aluminium posses some advantages high conductivity and low melting point, enables applied permanent mold too. Material that is used to make mold is from special steel, and when casting process, after aluminium-mag-nesium alloy melting will be poured in mold hence after the permanent mold heated in va-rious temperature which has been determined that is, 300 oC, 350 oC and 400 oC. Heat-ing of mold at this research meant to know how far the influence is happened to mechani-cal properties from Aluminium-Magnesium alloy (series 5xxx) especially tensile strength, hardness and transformation of microstructure. From result of research which to be got best tensile strength value to draw alloy Aluminium-Magnesium (Al-Mg) at 350 oC tem-perature equal to 11,11 kg/mm2 and highest hardness at 350 oC temperature equal to 101,64 HB (Hardness Brinnel) while microstructure that is very homogen also there is at temperature 350 oC.

Abstract

This paper describes the ergonomic application and the determination of stan-dardized working systems hard competency at PT Atak Otomotif Indometal by using Be-havioural Event Interview (BEI) methods and on the spot direct observation. The standard is made as the reference in determining employee minimum performance. By using standardized hard competency already made and weighted using Expert Choice 9.0 Software, furthermore it has to be evaluated towards employee competency to recognize the gap between the standardized and the real competency. Final results show that the average employee comptency is still below at value 2.8 out of 5 based on Panggabean and Walter scale which means their competency tends to fulfill the employer expectation but it needs to be improved. Besides it has approved theory of Nurmianto and Terbit (20-02) who have found that competence is influenced by four factors i.e training, education, working experience, skills which finally conclude that skills is the most influencing factor among other factors towards competency.

Abstract

Operator work facility is one of the factors which influence work performance in a system. Good work facility must be comfortable for the operator. Operator work facility in a soya curd industry is a soya breaking tool. This tool doesn’t fulfill the standardized concept of ergonomy and user satisfaction. In this paper we are going to discuss operator work facility improvement; that is designing of an ergonomic soya breaking tool which is ideal and needed by the users. In the designing of the soya breaking tool, Kano and QFD models are intergratedly used. The result of the need analysis, we found twelve atributes. From the twelve attributes, after we processed by using Kano model about operator sa-tisfaction, applied in the House of Quality (HOQ), we found that there were five attributes in performance 1 and Basic factor. Those attributes were; the tool was easily maintained, the production process is fast, the tool is not tiring, the tool is save, and design is justified with the work position. To improve the quality of soya breaking tool by using Kano and QFD models, there are two primary factors. First, the tool size used Anthropometry, se-cond, the tool is operated by using feet.

Abstract

The research aims to analyze the effect of citric acid addition on the quality of peanut oil during storage. Before extracting the oil by steaming and dry heating to know the content and the peroxide value of oil 0 ppm or 200 ppm of citric acid is added to the oil produced from all treatments. The oil samples were stored for 12 weeks at 30°C. It is found that steaming at 90oC for 30 minutes, the oil content is 24,84% peroxide value 1.10 meq/kg oil, free fatty acid 0.017% and iodine value 89.955. Meanwhile, dry heating at 45oC without citric acid, the peroxide value 73.75 meq/kg oil, free fatty acid 0.017% and iodine value 89.995 and with citric acid 200 ppm, peroxide value 69.75 meq/kg oil, free fatty acid 0.664% and iodine value 83.685 and not rancid.

Abstract

Quality is the most important thing in business to get more consumers. Quality will be better if those kinds of processes produced with good constancy. Research was held in Coca Cola Bottling Company Indonesia, problems which were emerging are the sweet disposal (ºBrix) from the product is unstable. Control Chart Method is used to get the condition of production process which is moving, than improvement will be done through Taguchi Method approach. Improvement start from election of factors which influence for those quality’s characteristic as well as level value, and than will be basic for the Orthogonal Array election. Result of analysis is processed through noise signal to ratio (SNR) and Analysis of Variance. Based on research, it was got result that is the best setting level for control factor which is influenced to stability sweet disposal value (ºBrix) are first setting of sweetness disposal simple syrup is 59 ºBrix, addition of concentrate is 1.25 units, and water disposal is 80 %.
