Abstract

The background of this research is teaching material that less maximizethe students understanding concept in material set, texts books less take thestudents in finding concept and language book that is difficult to understand bythe students. This research is purposed to know validation and practicality frommodule is based Contextual Teaching and Learning that is developed for materialset. Kind of this research is development using 4-D module. That is define stages,design stages, develop stages, and desseminate stage. In this case, this research isonly done in three stages. These are define stages, design stages, and developstages. Define stages consist of analysis syllabus, analysis texts books, analysisliterature, analysis the students characteristics and interviews with teachers andstudents. Design stages is stages that is done to design module is based onmodule Contextual Teaching and Learning. Develop stages consist of validationstges and practicality stages. In conclisions, module is based Contextual Teachingand Learning that have been developd is valid and practical based on the result ofvalidation and practicality.

Abstract

The purpose of the research to generate problem based module on the materials of linear program arevalid and practical in SMKN 6 Padang. The type of this research is Research and Development(R&D) by using ADDIE model. ADDIE model consist of five stages, i.e. Analyzing, Designing,Implementing, and Evaluating. The research instrument is (1) sheet validation, (2) questionnairepracticalities and (3) guidelines for the interview. The subject of this research consists of six studentsclass XI SMKN 6 Padang and four validator consisting of lecturer math, Indonesian teacher and twomath teachers. The validity test result of problem based module of valid criteria is 3,9. The practicaltest result of students shows that a very practical category is 84,2 % and teachers shows that a practicalcategory is 80 %. It can be concluded that a problem based module for linear program material at tenthgrade of SMKN 6 Padang are valid and practical.

Abstract

Comprehension of mathematical concept of students in class VIII of SMPN 33that still low. The purpose of this research is want to know the studentsunderstanding of mathematical concept by applying the type of active learningstrategies The Study Group and quis are better than students understanding ofmathematial concept by applying the conventional learning. This was anexperimental research which used random research design toward the subject.The population of research is the student in class VIII SMPN 33 Padang is the 7classes. The instrument used in this research is a quis and test in studentscomprehension of mathematical concept. Based on the result of data analysis, itwas revealed that the sample was distributed normally and not homogeny variant.Hypothesis test results obtained ݐᇱ (4,614) and ttable (1,708), the hypothesis wasaccepted. So, it was concluded that the application of The Study Groupstrategies could improve the students comprehension of mathematical conceptbetter than the conventional learning.

Abstract

This research base on students comprehension of mathematical concepts that were still low. This research’s purpose is to determine students achievement of understanding mathematical concepts for implementing cooperative learning model snowball throwing with quiz and find out if the students understanding of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning model accompanied quiz snowball throwing better than students understanding of mathematical concepts that use conventional learning in the classroom VIII MTs TI Batang Kabung Padang. This type of research was experiment research. Population in this study were all class VIII MTs TI Batang Kabung Padang. Technique is random sampling, the sample is a class VIIID and class VIIIA. Hypothesis testing using t-test of the parties with the assistance of MINITAB, the P-value obtained is smaller than α, so it can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts using cooperative learning model snowball throwing with quiz better than students understanding of mathematical concepts by using conventional learning in class VIII MTs TI Batang Kabung Padang.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the students understanding of mathematicalconcepts are still low. The purpose of the research to know is it have influence themathematical concept understanding by doing discovery learning model, be usingtrue or false statement to class VIII Islamic junior higt school Tanjung BalitKabupaten Solok. The kind this research is eksperiment research with preeksperimentdesigh method : pre-test and pos-test. Population in this research isthe student class VIII Islamic junior high school 2014/2015. To select the samplesthis research uses random sampling, the choose is class VIII.1. Researchinstrument be using test it is essay with competence indicator of conceptunderstanding. The data process to analisys with t-test. Based on productresearch to get data analisys to know so test hipotesis = 0,05, it get value thitung= 3,77 so not deal H0 and deal H1. Abstract

The student’s difficulty in understanding the division material is one of the reasons todevelop the module. The other factor is there is no an effective teaching material thatis able to facilitate the students to study. The research aims to develop a teachingmaterial in the form of a valid and practical module of division material for studentsof seventh grade. The development model used is the procedure of InstructionalDevelopment Institute (IDI) that consists of three stages, i.e. defining, developing,and evaluating. The validation is conducted by one of the lecturers of mathdepartment, one of the lecturers of the Indonesian department and one of the mathteachers. The validity test result of constructivism-based module shows that theconstructivism-based module of very valid criteria is 4.56 for the average.Meanwhile, the student practical test result shows that a constructivism-based moduleof very practical category is 96% and the teacher try-out test result of very practicalcriteria is 88%. It can be concluded that a constructivism-based module of divisionmaterial is valid and practical.

Abstract

The background of this research is base on how to importans teaching materialsin learning process. In learning materials text book is used in learning equationsof one variable that students cannot be constructed by them self yet. It is causedthe teacher need to develop teaching material about modul base on discovery inmaterial of linear equiton of one variable. The purpose of this research is toknow validity and practicallity about modul base on discovery. There are threesteps is done those are define, design and develop steps. The result of thisresearch showed that modul base one discovery is valid, all average 3, 60. Itmeans that the content of modul has been delated with indicators base onecompetency. Practicallity it can be seen in presentase 99,97 %. It means clear thismodul is related with students need.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the application of learning models talking stick effect on the comprehension of mathematical concepts class VIII SMPN 2 Ranah Pesisir Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan. Type of research is the study of pre-experimental research design with pre-test and post-test group. population in this study was a class VIII SMPN 2 Ranah Pesisir Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan 2014/2014 academic year consisting of four classes. The of sample classes were determined randomly. The instrument used in this is the initial test (pre-test) ang final test (post-test) in the from of data used essay. the analisis test t-test. Based on the analysis of data obtained. So that the research hypothesis can be concluded that there are significant application of learning models talking stick to the comprehension of mathematical concept of class VIII SMPN 2 Ranah Pesisir Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan.

Abstract

The background of the research is the student’s difficulty on constructing the mathconcept of the materials about the function composition and invers function and lack ofthe material sources that are able to facilitate the students to study independently. Tosolve the problem, it is finally developed a constructivism-based module for the materialsof function composition and invers function. The research aims to know the validity andpractice of constructivism-based module in Public Senior High School 8 Padang. Thetype of the research is development. The research uses 4-D model that consists of 4stages, i.e. defining stage, designing stage, developing stage, and distributing stage. Theresearch is only conducted until the third stage, i.e. developing stage. The developingstage is conducted to know the validity and to test the practical module. The validity testresult of constructivism-based module of valid category is 4.07 for the average. Thestudents practical test result of very practical category is 93.03%. It can be concluded thatthe constructivism-based module on the materials of function composition and inversfunction is valid and practical.
