Abstract

Efforts to environmental conservation and management of fisheries products tend to focus on fishing compared with the chain of local values relating to the economy and the labor market. The participation of women fishers more often underappreciated. This study aims to determine the participation of women in the fishing and marine fisheries management in Bantul, with a qualitative approach, method of interview, observation, focus group discussions and documentation. The study took purposively selected locations on the coast and coastal New Depok Parangtritis, Bantul. The results showed a number of examples of environmental conservation programs fishermen ruled out the role of women in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs. Women devote more time fishing on their domestic responsibilities, livelihood diversification choice more often limited. This limitation is exacerbated by the lack of education. Becomes important, when the purpose of development in line with environmental management and profitable position of women in environmental management. Because of this, awareness and participation of tourism stakeholders including women fishing is very needed in sustainable environmental management. This participation from the planning, implementation, evaluation of the benefit received by women fishers. Participation which originally symbolic of the study sites can be developed with intensive mentoring extension of the activities of women's groups of fishermen manifest into independent participation. Collective action fisher woman other than as a means of gathering, enriching also useful as an alternative source of business capital. Through the activities of formal, informal them, toma and extension convey the importance of preserving the environment. Efforts to add events, travel and travel product diversification initiated by the government and the private sector are expected to increase the participation of women fishing and sustainable environmental management.

Abstract

Hearing the southern seacoast people will immediately think queenly figure, namely the southern coast guard Nyi Roro Kidul although the story will facta is still in question. Local knowledge is maintained continuity able to sustain life would be a tourist attraction and can increase the assets of government and society around. Local knowledge is a form of human effort in order to maintain, manage and preserve the indigenous culture and using his intellect (cognition) to act and behave towards something, objects or events that occur in a given space and dimension criteria to qualify as local wisdom. The qualitative research method is the right choice for this research because it aims to understand a phenomenon in the social context naturally. By having the natural attractions that are unique and distinctive and myths Nyi Roro Kidul attached Pelabuhan Ratu eligible criteria of the tourist village and has the potential to bring assets and contribute to generating economical resources which are expected to provide benefits for the future and survival of the government and surrounding communities.

Abstract

Museums are more important than ever before. They play a substantial role in people‟s leisure activities and belong to one of the most important tourist attractions. The visitors have a strong effect on local economies, especially in touristic locations. Not surprisingly therefore more and more museums are founded usually in spectacular buildings. This research employs three dimensions of service quality to understand the factors underlying tourist satisfaction of „Monumen Yogya Kembali‟.These dimensions investigated are namely Service Quality, The Appearance of the Museum and Collection Management. Sampling has been conducted at the Monumen Yogya Kembali between October 12- 25th 2015. Convenient random sampling has been employed to 100 respondents. Through a 4 point Likert-type scale, tourists‟ expectations of a perfect service provider have been compared with the practices of Monumen Yogya Kembali to determine if there are any gaps. Service Quality, the Appearance of the Museum, and Collection Management‟ has been analyzed together with its effects on tourist‟ satisfaction through regression analysis. Linear regression analysis is conducted to test the research model. The regressionmodel that explains the satisfaction variable via Service Quality, the Appearance of the Museum, and Collection Management factors is tested. Accordingly, the tested regression model is meaningful (F: 34,651, p < 0.001) and independent variables can explain the50,5% of the change in the satisfaction variable. Closer analysis of the model parameterssuggests Service Quality, the Appearance of the Museum, and Collection Management variables have a significantly positive effect on satisfaction.

Abstract

Indonesia merupakan suatu negara kepulauan yang memiliki beragam suku, ras dan budaya. Keanekaragaman tersebut membuat Indonesia menjadi negara yang kaya akan potensi wisata. Potensi wisata yang pada saat ini banyak diminati oleh wisatawan adalah wisata minat khusus. Wisata minat khusus adalah salah satu wisata yang belum lama dikembangkan di Indonesia. Wisata minat khusus yang saat ini sedang dikembangkan di Indonesia khususnya di Yogyakarta adalah desa wisata yang mana Yogyakarta merupakan sebuah kota yang memiliki berbagia potensi wisata alam seperti pantai, pegunungan, air terjun dan lain sebagainya. Desa wisata adalah sebuah kawasan pedesaan yang memiliki beberapa karakteristik khusus untuk menjadi daerah tujuan wisata. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptifmenganalisis hanya sampai pada taraf diskripsi, yaitu menganalisis dan menyajikan fakta secara sistematik sehingga dapat lebih mudah untuk difahami dan disimpulkan.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi.Penelitian ini menitikberatkan pada sebuah desa wisata yang berada di Kabupaten Sleman yaitu sebuah desa wisata Sidoakur yang terletak di desa Sidoakur, Kecamatan Godean, Kabupaten Sleman, Yogyakarta. Desa wisata Sidoakur ini memiliki potensi desa wisata budaya dan lingkungan dengan pemberdayaan masyarakat. Bentuk pemberdayaan masyarakat yang dilakukan desa wisata Sidoakur adalah melalui pengembangan desa wisata dengan dukungan pemerintah. Hasil dari penelitian adalah usaha pemerintah kabupaten sleman dalam pengembangan desa wisata Sidoakur melalui bantuan dana Program Nasional Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Mandiri (PNPM) Mandiri Pariwisata. Pemberdayaan masyarakat yang terlihat dalam pengembangan desa wisata Sidoakur yaitu usaha perbaikan, pengelolaan dan pengembangan penghijauan, SPAH (Sistem Penyimpanan Air Hujan), serta perikanan dan pertanian.

Abstract

This paper reviews previous models of economic development of tourism using models such as pentahelix which generally focus more on how synergy and synchronization of government, academic, business, media, and tourism institutional actors, as well as the Tourism Satellite Account which methodologically measures only the end result tourism, while the power of the sector of economic potential and the transition of natural resource-based economic potential into a tourism-based economy has not been taken into account. Therefore such a perspective reflects only a narrative, but there is no model that mathematically explains the effect of the shift of the leading economic sector to GDP. Economic sustainability is a useful and useful purpose for human survival, therefore the model of economic development of tourism in the economic development of this society can complement the previous models, theoretically described the concept of economic development of tourism, model, measurement, program and indicators of development success tourism economy.

Abstract

The rapid development of tourism in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta becomes a trigger for Indonesian people to choose Yogyakarta as a destination worth visiting with a variety of potential tourism.Bantul Regency is one of the areas in the Special Region of Yogyakarta which borders directly with the Indian Ocean so that many have coastal tourist-oriented tourist destinations. Of the many beaches in the district of Bantul, each has its own beauty and characteristic respectively. Potential Attractiveness Coastal tourism in the district of Bantul in the book Tourism Statistics DIY 2016 include Parangtritis Beach, Samas Beach, Pandansimo Beach, Cave Beach Cave and Kuwaru Beach. The approach developed by the government through the Ministry of Tourism to improve the competitiveness of coastal tourism (marine) is to integrate the first dimension of infrastructure, accessibility, connectivity, activity, facilities, hospitality and market preferences. And the second is to increase synergy between local governments, business actors, and local communities (DITJEN Kerjasama ASEAN, 2015:19). However, not all the development of tourist areas can be applied in the coastal areas of Bantul regency that has a high sea wave and the proximity of the sea trough with coastal areas so it is very risky to the safety of tourists. Various complaints submitted by visitors, among others; there are still services that are not standard (expensive), there is a slum beach section, sometimes neglected discipline, clutter of land governance, multiple levies, and beach raids by various business activities make the potential of visits to coastal tourism in Yogyakarta reduced (Prasetya et al , 2015: 135). The purpose of this research is to know the most visited tourism potential and alternative tourism development strategy based on SWOT analysis. The research method used is descriptive qualitative approach. The results showed that Parangtritis Beach became the most favorite beach with the number of visitors which increased from year to year. One of the SWOT analysis of tourism development strategy in Bantul regency tourism object is by creating a special place, which is built in such a way with the background of natural panorama of the beach, to exploit the passion of swafoto visitors (selfie) as part of modern marketing through social media tourists

Abstract

Local cultural values in cultural interaction cause people tend to ignore the values of local culture so that requires a policy in preserving local culture in the village Sendangmulyo, Minggir, Sleman. The purpose of this study is to know the potential of Sendangmulyo village and how the implementation of village culture policy in preserving local culture in Sendangmulyo village, Minggir, Sleman. This research method using descriptive qualitative research method. Based on research, Sendangmulyo village has cultural potential such as tabuh gamelan, dance art, Jathilan and Encling, Thek-Thek, Gejog Lesung, kethoprak, craft and culinary, and merti desa. Implementation of cultural village policy based on the assessment of the Culture Department of Yogyakarta, Sendangmulyo is in the category of advanced cultural village. The power factor of Sendangmulyo village is the cultural potential and the support of the community. Weakness of less skilled human resources, institutional lack of understanding of its function, as well as inadequate facilities become weaknesses, as well as understanding the culture and involvement of young people who are still less a threat factor. Opportunities that can be developed that Sendangmulyo village can be a cultural destination. In overcoming the weaknesses of human resources, institutions and facilities and infrastructure in Sendangmulyo village, the village government with the support of the Provincial Cultural Office of Yogyakarta Specialized by increasing the motivation, knowledge and participation of the community through trainings, improving village management institutions through increased management, village culture and provide funding to hold a cultural title

Abstract

Bandung has been famous as a tourist destination or for leisure for a long time since the Dutch colonialism. Most of activities are mass tourism, such as culinary, shopping and nature tourism. Aside from those tourist activities, there is other kind of tourism that actually has been done by tourists and still need to be developed. It’s dark tourism. This research aimed to identify the potential of dark tourism and its activity. In this tourism, the object is a place with past dark horrible history for violence experienced by people in the past colonialism. The spectrum of darkest and lightest was demonstrated to show similarity and difference from previous researches as well as the level of eeriness in dark tourism.This research was conducted in Bandung using qualitative method. Data was obtained by directly visiting the tourist object, interviewed people related to the tourism activity and literature study. The instruments used in collecting data were a camera and a recorder. After processing data, it was then triangulated to make sure that all the result of the data was correct.From the research it was found that there were one tourist object and one tour included in dark tourism. They were Goa Pakar, consist of Goa Belanda and Goa Jepang, and a ghost tour which was known as Wisata Mistis. Goa Belanda and Goa Jepang are located in Taman Hutan Raya Ir. H. Djuanda or known as Goa Pakar or Dago Pakar. These caves have dark history about the cruelty from struggling against Dutch and Japanese colonialism. While ghost tour is a trip related to visiting spooky places at night. It is expected in the future that the dark tourism object will obtain serious attention and improvement from the local government so that educate tourists about sacrifice of the people who fought for nation independence

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, the tourism sector has become one of the largest and strongest industries in the world, as well as the largest contributor to public and state revenues. Tourism has become part of the lives of people starting from the existing community in the city to the community in the village. Maros Regency in South Sulawesi has a lot of tourist attractions but the community has not been fully able to identify the tourism potential that exists in the region. This study aims to promote the potential, important values and strategies for the management and development of the Leang-leang Prehistoric Park as a tourist destination. The research result shows that Leang-Leang Prehistoric Park has a cultural tourist attraction containing commercial values that attract many tourists, with the assurance that the expenditure, time and cost,is worth for the experience obtained during the visit

Abstract

This research discusses the development strategy undertaken by the manager of R.A Kartini Museum especially related to the implementation of an event held in R.A Kartini Museum, Rembang Regency. This research is a qualitative descriptive research supported by the use of quantitative data such as the number of tourist visits. The results of research advised that the R.A Kartini Museum manager must consider the expectations and necessary of the visitors with the main purpose of the museum. The educational missions need more attention by the manager of R.A Kartini Museum one of them with the implementation of the event. So hope the museum is not like a storehouse of historical objects but can also be a media trip and have fun that reaches all levels of society
