Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency. Teenagers often do not have good self-control. If self-control skills are developed early on, adolescents are expected to be able to control themselves from deviant behavior that can damage their lives in the future. The purpose of this research is to know the general description of self-control of fourth-grade students of SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Ngin and to test the effectiveness of psychodrama in developing student self-control. The research is done using quasi-experimental method. The research subject is the fourth grader of SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Ngin. The results showed that Psikodrama technique is effective in developing self-control fourth-grade students SD Negeri 1 Lubuk Ngin.Keywords: Self Control, Psychodrama

Abstract

Abstract: Each student is essence able to speak but is constrained when they are to speak in public such as presentations and speakers. One of guidance and counseling services are effective to improve the ability to speak in public is a Content Mastery service. This research to find out about the Effectivity of Content Mastery Service to Improve Public Speaking Skills in Students SMKN 1 Gunungputri. This research using quantitative research method with experimental research design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data analysis was done by inferential statistical test by using the formula Paired Sample Test and Independent Samples Test. The conclusion is the content mastery service is equally effective to enhance the public speaking ability. It can be seen clearly that the probability figure Asmyp. Sig. (2-tailed) public speaking ability in experimental group and control group is 0,000. It showed the probability under alpha of 0.05 (0.000 <0.05). Keywords: Content Mastery Service, Public Speaking, StudentSkills.

Abstract

Abstract: This article is a study to understand the paradigm and philosophical foundations of research in counseling and guidance. Research is believed to be one of the pillars of science development. Simply scientific research is a consequence of human curiosity. Philosophy is a parameter of ontology science, epistemology, axiology, rhetorical structure, and methodology discussed throughout the paradigm of positivism, postpositivism, constructivism-interpretivism, and perspective-criticism. In the sense of finding solutions, discovering new things, explaining phenomena - correlation - comparability, repositioning truth, finding critics - theories - assumptions, reductions of circumstances or conditions change with expectations. Counseling research is expected to be able to explain, reposition, critic, and find an investigative approach within the identified research paradigm. The research will continue from various paradigms. Abstract

Abstract: Islamic Boarding School has a big influence on the santri adversity intelligence because the boarding school is a second educational institution for children to learn and declare themselves as social beings and received a second lesson after the family. The type of this research used is field research type (field research) with quantitative approach. The research population is students of MTs class VIII living in boarding school Sunan Pandan Aran Yogyakarta Central Java that is a number of 214 santri. The respondents are 30 santri. In order to find respondent of research representatively, hence in this research used technique proportional random sampling. Furthermore, data collection techniques using questionnaires. Analysis of data used in the form of simple regression analysis. The result of the regression analysis shows that there is a positive influence on Climate of Pondok Pesantren with the Intelligence of Adversity of Santri.Keywords: Climate Islamic Boarding School, Adversity Intelligence, Santri.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was intended to generate ideal personality inventory of high school students with Dayak Ngaju cultural background. The subjects of this study were students SMA Negeri 1 dan 2 Palangkaraya for about 60 students, the subject collecting using purposive sampling technique. A research design that used in the research development of ideal personality inventory of Dayak Ngaju culture in guidance and counseling services were mixed methods design.  The validity of ideal personality inventory of  Dayak Ngaju culture in guidance and counseling services were obtained from experts judgments and Item-Test Correlation using Product Moment Pearson correlation analysis while the reliability was obtained by counting the Alpha coefficient through the Cronbachs Alpha reliability analysis. The result of this research was to generate ideal personality inventory of Dayak Ngaju culture in guidance and counseling services which consisting of 42 items statement that is 25 items favorable and 17 items unfavorable after taking experts judgments, small clusters and large clusters test.  Drawing conclusions of the study after taking 2 times test generated 42 valid items with the coefficients reliability of 0,778 so the level of validity and reliability considered high.Keywords: Dayak ngaju, Inventory, Personality

Abstract

Abstract: Innovation in the implementation of counseling services becomes a challenge for counselors. Currently, counselors are experiencing various obstacles to implement meaningful counseling services and have an effect on students. One effort to improve the quality of counseling services is with the use of creative arts, namely one visual art. There are five premises for the use of visual arts in counseling, namely: (1) describing the subconscious and helping the individual reveal secret conflicts that they did not reveal initially; (2) symbolize feelings in a unique, real, and powerful way; (3) to inspire and help counselees to achieve their personal growth; (4) assisting counselee especially children not feel threatened with counseling implementation; and (5) can easily be combined with other creative arts such as movement, creative writing, and imagery. With the utilization of visual arts is expected to improve the quality of counseling services meaningful and influential for students.Keywords: creative art, counseling, visual art

Abstract

Abstract: This study is a descriptive study aimed at identifying the confidence level of club X football athletes in Padang City in preparation for the match with a sample of 20 athletes. Instruments in this study using the Athletes confidence scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive analysis using percentage technique. A description of the research results found that the level of trust of soccer athletes, in general, are in the medium and high category. Judging from the aspect of self-confidence is located in the high category, the positive thinking aspect, in general, is in the category of being, on the aspects of utilizing the advantages, in general, are in the high category. This study illustrates the overall condition of confidence is more dominant in the medium and high category but still exist in the low and very low category. So it is expected to need optimization efforts confident athletes soccer team to play with more optimal at the next game. These efforts can be prepared personally or with the help of a dedicated professional who has psychological athletes psychological expertise such as motivators or sports counselors or specialized trainers who can contribute to improving athletes confidence.Keywords: Self Confidence, Soccer Match

Abstract

Abstract: The language arising from interaction between individuals gives a meaning that the relationship of language and culture has its own influence for the habit of thinking and behaving individually. This is because language is a means of expressing the mind so that it reflects the individuals self-image of the behavior he is showing. Language is a means of thinking and communication for the individual, so communication skills can be defined as language skills. In the context of education, language is the medium of instruction, while in the realm of guidance and counseling, language is a reflection of the counselees mind by reflecting from his world view, so that by understanding the language, the counselor will understand the counselees perspective. Language is closely tied to individual feelings and activities or behaviors. In the context of guidance and counseling, the language used by counselors can be a weapon and should be used wisely. The language should be cohesive, coherent, accurate, and meaningful in the process of guidance and counseling services to enable effective communication between counselors and counselors. The direction of research that will be done more emphasis on the topic of language use by the counselor and the language response of the counselee as an effort to examine more in the use of language appropriate to the educational situation.Keywords: Language, Communication, Education, Guidance and Counseling

Abstract

Abstract: The purpose of this study is to test the effectiveness of group guidance in improving students self-esteem SMAN 1 Cariu Bogor. The research method used is quantitative method with quasi-experiment approach. The study population was 148 students of class X. Samples taken by using sample quota samples were 16 students, divided into two groups; experimental groups and control groups. Self-esteem instruments are used to find out the students self-esteem level by 20 items. Data analysis techniques using percentage of questionnaire results. The conclusion of this research is the effective group counseling service in improving students self-esteem.Keywords: guidance group, self-esteem.

Abstract

Abstract: This article describes and discusses (1) understanding of "niche", (2) niche counselor in Indonesia, (3) niche counselor on formal education, (4) niche counselor "to come" in Indonesia. Constraints to realize the role of school counselors, among others, principals and subject teachers who do not understand the function of guidance and counseling. Many school counselors who are not graduates of Guidance and Counseling but are merely odd or functional. Many and almost average in school School counselors do not have adequate facilities to work ideally, so the counselors performance is less than optimal. School counselors are not considered important by students and educational components in schools. To overcome these obstacles required the participation of both governments, ABKIN, own counselor, and community environment, especially the school environment. From the counselor and the institution that shelter it needs to show good performance and from other components need to give trust and opportunity to the counselor to show its performance.Keywords: Niche, Counselor, Formal Education
