Abstract

The media has a huge influence on the direction of public life. One of the mass media that is around us is Media Television. Television is a medium of mass communication in the form of audio-visual which has several functions including informative, entertainment, and education. So many programs on television, so that people have a lot of choice of programs or information in accordance with the needs. In the theory of Uses and Gratification audience basically using the mass media based on certain motives, where the media is considered trying to meet the needs of the audience called as an effective medium. Students are part of the society who have needs of television media in an effort to meet the information needs. Among the programs the student needs is a sports news program, the needs met by the private television media through the TV One sports news program Kabar Arena. The purpose of this study is to determine how much influence the motive watching sports news on TV One Kabar Arena to watch the satisfaction of the Department of Physical Education Student Teaching and Education Faculty of the University of Riau. The method used in this research is quantitative method of explanation, the researchers collected data using questionnaires. The location of this research is on the campus of the University Department of Physical Education Guidance and Counseling is located at street Paus No. 5 Rumbai, Pekanbaru City - Riau. The number of samples for this study were 74 respondents. Sampling using random sampling techniques. To know how much influence these two variables, the researchers used a simple linear regression analysis. For data processing questionnaire, carried out using statistics program Product And Service Solution (SPSS) Windows version 17. These results indicate that the influence of motive watching sports news on TV One Kabar Arena on satisfaction Student Department of Physical Education Teaching and Education Faculty of the University of Riau, the regression coefficient values obtained in this study is Y = 9.603 + 0.806 X 0.001 significance level smaller of α = 0.05. This means that there is influence between watching sports news on TV One Kabar Arena to watch the satisfaction of the Department of Physical Education Students FKIP University of Riau 58.9% and in the category of influential medium. The percentage shows that the satisfaction of respondents watch sports news can be met. So that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. Abstract

Education is very important in the face of this era, and the school is a learning container children ranging from elementary school, junior high, high school and to university. In Indonesia has been in the compulsory school 9 (nine) years, but until now there are still many children out of school in the village of Sipan P Ulau Inuman District of Kuantan District Singingi ranging from elementary and junior high school level that causes a variety of factors. The school drop out by comparing the economic factor family, his own volition and environmental factors. This research was conducted in the village of Sipan Island Kecematan Inuman Singingi Kuantan District, this research especially in children dropping out of school with the aim to analyze the causes or factors that lead to children dropping out of school. The samples in this study using census with certain considerations. Census techniques in this study because of the amount of a population of a little, so that the entire population sampled. The number of samples in this study as many as 42 people, consisting of 20 elementary schools and 22 junior high school level. Data collection techniques in this study is the observation and interviews, types and sources of data used are primary data and secondary data. The data is analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis, which is presented in tabular form in accordance with the characteristics of each data. The conclusion from this study is that many children are dropping out of school at junior high school level and causes of dropout occurs largely because they factor in measuring economic families of indicators causes of school dropouts. Abstract

Indonesia is the third coffee producer in the world. These coffee exports are the second largest of Indonesia’s national income from plantation sector after crude palm oil. These national incomes have to be maintained. Yet, Indonesia produces low grade quality coffee and difficult to compete on international market. Indonesia has to take a foreign policy to solve that problem. Then, Indonesia ratified International Coffee Agreement 2007. Indonesia has national interest on that policy. This research describes Indonesia’s national interest ratifying International Coffee Agreement 2007. This research uses Snyder’s foreign policy theory and Donald E Nuchterlain’s national interest theory. The method that is used in this research is qualitative research. Some of the datas are obtained from books, journals, articles, internet and other media. This research focuses on finding Indonesia’s national interest on ratifying International Coffee Agreement 2007. Coffee exports are very important for Indonesia. Though Indonesian coffee has low grade quality, it gives big national income for Indonesia. Indonesia’s national interests on ratifying International Coffee Agreement 2007 to be Perpres No. 63 tahun 2008 are to increase Indonesia’s coffee quality and to maintain national incomes. Indonesia gets transfer of technology and being helped to find new market to export coffee by International Coffee Organization. Abstract

Anticipated PDAM Kota Pekanbaru service management in general have not been able to meet the needs of customers well. Technical constraints, especially lack of funds,congestion water delivered, the water is not clear other than that the demage to pipes, drains and Administrative services convoluted in the PDAM Kota Pekanbaru. Supposedly this PDAM Kota Pekanbaru as a company that is trusted by the city government to meet the needs of society pekanbaru,PDAM Kota pekanbaru will be able to realize the goal of clean water of company. The problem in this research is how the conditions of service management at PDAM Kota Pekanbaru in realizing it’s objectives and the factors that affect the service management. The concept is the theory that researchers use PDAM Kota Pekanbaru service management, this study used qualitative research methods to study descriptive data. In collecting the data, researchers use interviewing techniques, observation and documentation. By using key informants as sources of information and literatures. These result indicate that the conditions of service management PDAM Kota Pekanbaru are in the category of not yet effective, which it is seen from city taps away goal achievement PDAM Kota Pekanbaru. Factors that affect the service management this PDAM Kota Pekanbaru there are, human resources, facilities and technology, costs, service personel competence, service time, the duty and authority of employees, employee performance, and coaching employees, which to all of these factors are very influential and must be in line for service management in PDAM Kota Pekanbaru. Abstract

This study to determine the effect of competence and incentives to work productivity salesman PT.Agung Automall Soekarno-Hatta Pekanbaru. Where the proposed two independent variables and the dependent variable, namely competence and incentives act as independent variables and labor productivity plays as the dependent variable. This study took a number of respondents as many as 32 people and the population in the salesman PT.Agung Automall Soekarno-Hatta pekanbaru. In this study, the data was obtained using a questionmaire with a scale of measurement using a Likert scale further processed and analyzed using the validity, reliabelitas, statistical analysis such as linear analysis, t test and f test using SPSS. Results of analysis using multiple liner regression, t test and f test so that it can be seen that he variable competence of a negative effect on work productivity salesman (H1), that incentives have a significant effect on the productivity of salesman (H2), and the significant influence of competence and administration incentives to work productivity salesman (H3) Keywords: competence, incentives, labor productivity

Abstract

This research purposed to see the revitalization of facilities as well as see the rise of tourist visits in the old town Karimun sub-district of Karimun Regency, Riau Islands province, Due a tourist destination shaped of cultural heritage in Karimun Regency. This research used Yoeti’s theory (1996) about the tourism facilities as companies that provide services to tourists, either directly or indirectly and live life a lot depends on arrival of tourists. Used qualitative descriptive methode to analyzed the problems. The sample in this research were 11 sample by using snowball sampling. Amd then technique to collected the data in this research were using by observation, interview and documentation. Based on this research, revitalization of means in the old town Karimun sub-districts, Karimun Regency, Riau Islands Province, has been no correct management so that the revitalization of the old town as tourist destination need be implemented by the establishment of better programs and to establish local regulations concerning cultural heritage sites. Abstract

The background of this research with the problems faced by farmers in increasing rice yields which farmers are farmers from the local area who have an average level of know ledge that is low. The problem faced by farmers as a way of processing the soil is good ang right as well the use of drugs for the plant, the government helps farmers problems with the procurement of agricultural extension workers in the region who are in the department of technical implementation unit (UPTD) agriculture. This study uses a qualitative method of data collection techniques participant observation, interviews, an documentation. Subjects in this study were agricultural extension and rice farmers in the village Bungaraya. Whereas the object of research is the communication function extension unit technical implementing agency (UPTD) Bungaraya agricultural districs. To analyze the collected data the authors used an interactive model analysis. The final stage of this analysis is examining the validity of the data. The results of research, extension communication function in society is indispensable in helping to increase knowledge of farmers in improving their rice yields. With the presence of extension can bring considerable impact, which before the role of extension workers how much land management that is incompatible with science is taught by the extension through agricultural extension methods. In practice in the village Bungaraya its extension accomplished by using the system of training and visits (CONDUCT), demonstration plots (Pilot), and a field school. The method can produce a feed-back and the rate of adaption of counseling objectives can be achieved despite the persistence of the constraints and obstacles in extension activities. While in the manufacturing extension program, extension assisted by the chairman of farmer groups and programs will be made has previously been adapted to the circumstances in the field of information obtained by farmers and farmer groups. As for the factors that become obstacles in extension activities such as internal and external factors for the extension, the language factor, time, education of farmers, farmers awareness in extension activities and still lack of motivation of farmers in extension. Abstract

This study was conducted to determine how the patterns of socialization that occurs, the values socialized and barriers that affect the process of socialization of religious values in the family in Sungai Salak Rw 5 Tempuling Indragiri Hilir subdistrict. Where in each pray, pray tarawih fewer children compared with adults or people tua.Untuk know the patterns of socialization that happens, religious values are socialized and constraints that affect the process of socialization hamatan Nili-religious values in the family in the Village Bark River District of Tempuling Indragiri Hilir, the authors conducted data collection by using the technique of guided interview with the respondent. The entire Muslim population of the community who have children aged 7-13 years. Total Penentruan samples using sampling techniques of data collection by way of the overall population sampled, sample 54 parents and 54 young respondents. Results of research conducted shows that of the pattern of authoritarian, democratic and permissive, permissive pattern is a pattern that many families used to educate children in the cultivation of religious values. Religious values in this study include the implementation of praying, reading the Qur'an (Koran), fasting Ramadan, the morality of the parents and other people or others can be said to be good. In accordance with the goal of planting religious values to children as a handle and guidance in carrying out the teachings of Islam. If viewed as a percentage of the number of poor in the implementation of the values of religion are also quite large. It is theoretically influenced by how socialization received by children in the family. Obstacles in the process of socialization of religious values in Rw 5 Sungai Salak Indaragiri Hilir District of Tempuling District, that is the pattern of behavior that is different for each child, the attitude of parents who are too harsh and discipline led to the child too passive, difficulties in communication, the environmental influences and technological progress is very rapid. Abstract

Education in indonesia is growing. Neither the national school, or international schools are competing to provide best quality. When the foreign teachers having a new culture, then the teachers should do adaptation process both in terms of teaching and learning environment in their daylife. This study aims to determine the stages of the adaptations made by foreign teachers, and what are the barriers that they face when adapting to the new environment. This study used a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, which gives an overview of the situation and analyze the data based on the field survey. The data source consists of primary data and secondary data. Collecting data using interviews, documentation and field observations. Informants were obtained by 3 people based sampling with purposive sampling technique. The subject of this research is foreign teachers who teach in Dharma Yudha high school and the object of this study is the cultural adaptation of foreign teachers in teaching and learning in Dharma Yudha high school. The results of this study indicate that the three foreign teachers have different process of adaptation, two of the informants were in the stage of resolution with the decision that accepts cultural accommodation but with several notes about things they can not tolerate and one informant another at the stage resolution with a full participant in the decision that is, someone who reached a comfortable and managed to establish a good relationship with the surrounding environment and accept the new culture.
