Abstract

Communications also occur in a theater, because there are people who come together and work together to deliver the message through theater. Messages and symbols designed by the director to convey meaning to the audience. Theater royalty is a kind of traditional Malay arts that still exists today. This research aims to determine how the communication that occurs in the theater nobility in conveying the message of history and culture in the Riau Malay. This study uses a qualitative method. The number of informants are as many as six people. Techniques used in the determination of the subject is purposive. The data is then discussed and analyzed through interactive data analysis model. Data collection techniques are in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation. Mechanical checks the validity of the data using techniques extension of participation and triangulation techniques. The results showed that the process of the nobility theater is basically the process of communication. Bangsawan theater has symbols Malay ranging from theme stories, fashion, artistic Malay language until the system can be used as a medium to convey the message history and Malay culture. Symbol interpreted by players and spectators differ depending knowledge of the history and culture of the Malays. An environment that is very supportive of the nobility theater is a show that happens in the building staging. People who are involved in the theater is not only the aristocratic background of Malay culture. but there are also people outside of descent and Malay culture. The process of the theater nobility are: 1) The process of selecting text, 2) process of exercise and, 3) The performance theater. Abstract

This research conducted in the village of Salo Siabu District of Kampar which aims to determine what factors affect Siabu village communities to undertake different wedding cultures or amalgamation. This study, entitled "Half a Century Amalgamation Between Ethnic Javanese With Locale In the village Siabu Salo District of Kampar". Formulation of the problem in this research was to determine the characteristics of the people who do the amalgamation, to know what factors affect people do amalgamation. To determine the assimilation and acculturation that occured in couples who do amalgamation. The skind of the research used in this research was descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was done by interview, observation and documentation. The tools used were interview guidelines. Mechanical for collecting respondents in this study was purposive sampling of respondents withdrawal based on certain criteria. The results showed that the Javanese ethnic communities and local ethnic already well integrated with the achievement of different cultures in society wedding. Factors affecting villagers in Siabu do amalgamation was the similarity of religion, equality of work or socio-economic status as well as the similarity of residence. Assimilation and acculturation that occured in pairs amalgamsi covers in terms of language. Acculturation and assimilation which occured in pairs amlagamasi the village community Siabu influenced by the dominance of a couple of her partner and was also influenced by the neighborhood. Abstract

In this recent years, coffee becomes a trend. Drinking coffee in a coffee shop has been life style. As we can see, nowadays, there are a lot of coffee shops built, franchised from outside Indonesia and the local ones. Some of us do not realize that Javanese coffee has been famous since years ago. Abstract

Pekanbaru city is one of destination for tourism, business, jobs and residences by the people around Pekanbaru region. Due to its cultures and diversity of community, Pekanbaru has many kind of arts and handicrafts which has high economic value. One of the famous handicrafts in Riau Province, especially in Pekanbaru is Tenunan Songket Pekanbaru. Tenunan Songket Pekanbaru itself has always been used by the people for traditional event, weddings, cultural events, religious events and others. Based on sales recapitulation data of Tenunan Songket Pekanbaru by Mahratu Foundation from January 2012 to Desember 2013, shown that sales of Tenunan Songket Pekanbaru decreased every month and still could not reached sales target. The data also indicated that there were 12 months no sales activities among the total of 24 months surveillance. This research aimed to know: (1) strategy of marketing communication Mahratu Foundation in promote Tenunan Songket Pekanbaru (2) Supporting and inhibiting factors of marketing Mahratu Foundation in promote Tenunan Songket Pekanbaru. The method used in this research is qualitative method with analytical representation descriptive. This data collecting tech is acquired matter-of-fact that happening at field via observation, interview and documentation. Informan in observational it total 9 person, one that consisting of (Mahratu Foundation chairman, 1 Foundation secretariat Employee Mahratu, 1 Gallery Employee Songket, 1 Weave Production Coordinator Songket Mahratu Foundation, and 5 customers). The research conducted in Mahratu Foundation Pekanbaru located in Jl. Thamrin V Number 3 Pekanbaru, Riau Province. Analysis tech data that is utilized in this research it utilizes analisis's model Milles's interactive data and Haberman, by use of authenticity check tech data which is participation and triangulation. These results it was shown that the strategy of marketing communication Mahratu Foundation in promote Tenunan Songket Pekanbaru has not fully implemented the 5 mix promotion concept of Philip Kotler’s which consist of Advertising, Sales Promotion, Personal Selling, Public Relation and Direct Marketing. Mahratu Foundation applied Personal Selling, Public Relation and Direct Marketing. Marketing communication model that has been used by Mahratu Foundation has not fully applied in accordance to AIDDA Marketing Model to raising (Awareness, Attention, Desire, Decision and Action). Abstract

This research explains about cooperation of Riau University and Kyoto University forward management of peatland ecosystem in District Bengkalis-Indonesia. The purpose of this research to know degradation of peatland ecosystem in District Bengkalis-Indonesia have global effect. A huge of peat area unwise exploited, especially for palm oil plantation industrial forest estate (plantation development: forestry and estate corps). This problem have of interest to the international institutions do research of peat, one of it’s Kyoto University. Kyoto University have partnership with Riau University. This research is a qualitative research. Method applied in doing this research is descriptive analysis with aim to depict and analyzed a phenomenon in this case. By using the Pluralism perspective to analyze the role of non state actor and global issue not only limited in security case and military case but international politics agenda very large. Cooperation theory to analyze how human necessities increase and interdependence complex required every state to cooperate. The result of show that peatland degradation have global effect. Parties exploit in this case which is economic interest with do in the name of environment issue. Research of Riau University and Kyoto University give solution for peatland problem with strategy and applied policy sustainable management of peatland ecosystem to reduce the risk of fire and associated regional haze. Also identified were actions (related to research, industry or local management practice or policies) need from different stakeholders, such as local governments, companies, NGOs, communities and researchers, to reduce or resolve the problem of peatland degradation in different scenarios. Abstract

This study describes the role of WWF in deadling turtle trade in Bali. The study also describes the condition of the turtle trade in Bali. WWF is one of the leading conservation organization in the independent world, which is committed to the community and government leaders in Bali. Turtle has been listed as an Appendix I species (endangered) in CITES, yamg means all commercial trade in animals or part of the body is also prohibited. Data collection techniques used in this research is a case study in linking theory with data obtained through library research. Data obtained from books, journals, magazines, newspapers and other sources (analysis of documents). I also use the internet facility in the process of data collection related and relevant to the issues discussed in this study. The author uses the theory to explain the role of international organizations and the theory of pluralism. The conclusion of this study found that the WWF has been monitoring the turtle trade in Bali. WWF also tried to connect and engage all stakeholders in addresing turtle trade in Bali. Training and education for the public and the actors involved in engaging in the trade and use of tiger. WWF has been working closely with government agencies, as well as the surrounding environment to help organizations overcome the turtle trade. WWF turtle managed to reduce lavel of through support for education, law, and also help in the campaign progressed turtle trade in Bali. Keywords: WWF, Bali, turtle trade, CITES

Abstract

The background about the implementation of mayor’s policies regulation is less than optimal the implementation of mayor’s regulation numbers 23 of 2012 about control and prevention of rabies in Pekanbaru can be seen there are still many populations of rabies animal’s spreader and also gite case that seleneed positive to rabies. Many people doesn’t know and don’t care and about mayor’s regulation number’s 23 of 2012. The purpose of this research is to know about mecanism of mayor’s regulation implementation process, number 23 of 2012 and whater abstracles that happen in that implementation of regulation to so make the implementation isn’t optimal. This Theory concept that used propound the factors that influencing policy implementatoin of Edward III collaboration, that is comunication resource and disposision. The method used in this research is discriptive, with qualitative approach. Data collection technique taht used were interview, observation, and documentation.the data type used was primary data obtained from the field and secondary data obtained where research is ussualy not available bsed on research result through interview and documentation. It can be seen that implementation of mayor’s regulation number 23 of 2012 about control and prevention of rabies is still not optimal. There are still have shortages in implementation of mayor’s regulation. The factors that influence this mayor’s regulation number 23 of 2012 is comunication, disposition, resource, and bureacracy system factors. Key words: implementation policy key, control, prevention

Abstract

Subdistrict of Pinggir is a government agency that has the main task to organizing public services. Public service as something that associated with fulfillment of expectations /needs of the public, which is quality service is can provide products dan services in accordance with needs and expectations of public. In fact there are still complaints from the public which is there are still people whowait because service schedule is not on time, facilities is inadequate. As for the purpose of this research is to find out about quality of public service in Subdistrict of Pinggir. Concept of theory that researcher uses is service quality according To Ratminto’s theory, there are indicators affect the quality of service which is completion time of service, cost of service, procedure of service, and facilities. This research is using qualitative research method and evaluating data with descriptive method, collecting data with interview technique, observation, and documentation from research informants. The result of this research showing that Subdistrict of Pinggir in doing public service is still not optimal yet that can be discovered by the time of sevice is uncertain, the cost of servie that are not clear, the presence of Camat less than optimal, and facilities is inadequate. Factors that influence subdistrict of Pinggir in doing public service influenced by employee discipline, untrasparent cost of service, and inadequate the facilities. Abstract

This study aims to determine the praise Festival activities and to find out what are the attractions recite Festival in Siak Sri Indrapura. This study used qualitative methods, the nature of this research is descriptive research which describes in detail in accordance with the existing situation in the region Siak recite Festival on Festival Travel Attractions recite the Siak Sri Indrapura. The informant in this study is the Head of Tourism Promotion Siak, Head of Arts and Culture Tourism Management, Implementation Committee and some praise Festival City Community Leaders Siak Sri Indrapura who became a representative of the public perception of the Festival of praise as well as some tourists who aim to know more in how big attractions in the Festival recite in Siak Sri Indrapura. While data collection techniques in this research using questionnaires, interviews, observation and study of literature Based on the research that has been done, while the main attraction at the Festival praise is their uniqueness, beauty and value contained in various kinds of performances are presented, each in this stage has been getting a good response from the tourists who come to town Siak Sri Indrapura Siak praise for the Festival, it is because in this stage many tourists can find various kinds of arts and culture in the city of Malay Siak Sri Indrapura of each sub-district in the city of Siak Sri Indrapura which amounted to 14 districts, which all have a wide range of arts culture and customs are different.
