Abstract

This research was conducted in Simpang Baru Village, Tampan Sub-district, Pekanbaru City. The purpose of this study is to determine the behavior of student consumption in online shopping in Simpang Baru Village Tampan Sub District Pekanbaru City. The focus of this research is to know what factors affect the behavior of students online at Simpang Baru Village Kecamatan Tampan Pekanbaru City. Sampling technique purposive sampling technique. and set the number of samples as many as 50 people. The author uses quantitative descriptive method and Instrument data is the observation and questionnaire. The research found there are some student consumption behavior in online shopping in Simpang Baru Village, that is: Pamer, research found that 66% of students only buy good quality goods with high selling value only. Boros, Research found that 48% of students feel not enough with the allowance provided by his parents. Having fun, the study found that 26% of students in Simpang Baru Village who are behaving online say they sometimes shop online because of their unique packaging. Span of time, Research found that 40% of college students stated sometimes buy the same item in different months. Studin found that there are several factors that influence student shopping behavior in new Simpang Village, namely: Culture, Research found that 62% of students declare their choice in interacting with peers. Social, Research found that 64% of students said they liked friends who had the same online taste so they could exchange ideas. Psychology, Research found that 66% of college students said online shopping behaviors improved their moods by shopping online they were happy instantly when looking at items in post. Personally, the study found that 66% of college students said they were never rebuked in online shopping behavior, this is because they feel grown and parents no longer need to curb them in action. Abstract

In the midst of intense business competition, marketers need the right marketing communication strategy to win consumer’s hearts. One of the strategy is by offering coupon sales promotion and support by brand image development. Both of these methods are proved capable to encourage consumer’s repurchase intention. Calais is one of the well-known bubble drink brand in Indonesia. This research is based on Stimulus-Response theory which describes communication as a simple action and reaction process, started from stimulus and ended with response. The purpose of this study is to find out whether Calais coupon sales promotion through LINE@ account and their brand image affect consumer’s repurchase intention or not.This research used explanative quantitative method. The data are collected using questionnaire with total sampel of 271 respondents taken using accidental random sampling technique. To know the influence of independent variables on dependent variable, the researcher use mutiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test and coefficient determination test. Meanwhile the questionnaire analysis is processed by using 16th version of SPSS program.This research measures coupon sales promotion variable through indicators: incentive size, participation conditions, promotion frequency, distribution media, and promotion time. Brand image variable is measured through indicators: brand identity, brand personality, brand association, brand behaviour & attitude and brand competence & benefit. As for repurchase intention is measured with transactional, referential, preferential and explorative intention indicators. Based on mutiple linear regression analysis, the regression equation is Y = 2,882 + 0,225 X1 + 0,470 X2. Through t-test and F-test, the significance value of each test is smaller than α = 0,05. Which means, all the alternative hypothesis which states there is influence created by Calais coupon sales promotion through LINE@ account and brand image towards repurchase intention are accepted, both partially and simultaneously. Coefficient determination test shows that the effect of Calais coupon sales promotion and brand image on consumer’s repurchase intention is 57,3%, which is a medium category. Meanwhile the remaining 42,7% is influenced by other factors beyond this study.Keyword: Coupon Sales Promotion, Brand Image, Repurchase Intention, Calais

Abstract

This paper is a study of the security strategy that explains about the smuggling of narcotics. This study discusses the strategy of Indonesia in addressing cross-border drug smuggling in Riau Islands in 2013-2017. The purpose of this study is to determine what strategies undertaken by Indonesia in addressing cross-border drug smuggling in the Riau Islands. Riau Islands is one of the provinces in Indonesia bordering with neighboring countries, the location is prone to make frequent occurrence Smuggling in Riau Islands, one of which is smuggling narcotics. Narcotics smuggling itself is a crime that is crimes committed by crossing national borders.This is qualitative research which used descriptive methods, and collecting datas from interview, books, journals, articles, mass media, official ublications and relevant websites. This paper used the neoliberalism perspective written by Kenneth Waltz, analysis unit nation-state written by Mohtar Mas’oed and the theory is Strategy written by John Lovell.The result of this research is that Indonesia's strategy in dealing with narcotics smuggling is to perform actions that optimize the role of BNN and external actions which by cooperation with Malaysia.Keywords: Narcotic, Smuggling, Riau Island, Security Strategy.

Abstract

This study is an international political economy study discussing ASEAN Power Grid (APG) cooperation in increasing electrical resilience in Indonesia. This study aims to identify and impact APG cooperation in improving the electrical resistance of Indonesia. Indonesia is one of the countries with the largest electricity consumption in the world and number 1 in southeast asia. Where electricity becomes a basic necessity in everyday life as well as in the development of the country.APG is a cooperation formed by all ASEAN members to improve electrical security and connect electricity to all member countries, as electricity becomes one of the basic needs that its availability is needed, APG also become a forum for private parties in improving the economy and also help the country in selling electricity supply, as well as a motivator for each country to improve domestic electrical resistance.the increase of electrical resistance which is the objective of APG cooperation, requires Indonesia to cooperate with neighboring countries such as Malaysia and Singapore to implement the principal of cooperation is the buying and selling of electricity through transmission lines built together based on MoU APG.In this case the authors use Noe-liberalism perspectives, supported by the theory of international cooperation and the concept of role and level of corporate analysis as an actor. Abstract

This study aims to find out: 1) The influence of organizational climate on turnover intention of PT. Gita Riau Makmur (HINO) Pekanbaru, 2) Effect of organizational climate on Job Satisfaction of employees of PT. Gita Riau Makmur (HINO) Pekanbaru, 3) Effect of Job Satisfaction on turnover intentions of employees of PT. Gita Riau Makmur (HINO) Pekanbaru, 4) Effect of organizational climate on turnover intentions of employees of PT. Gita Riau Makmur (HINO) Pekanbaru through job satisfaction as a mediating variable.This research is a study using a quantitative approach. The subject of this research is PT. Gita Riau Makmur (HINO) Pekanbaru with 118 employees. Data collection using questionnaires, and data analysis using SEM-PLS analysis with warpPLS 4.0 software.The results of this study indicate that: 1) organizational climate has a significant negative effect on turnover intentions of employees of PT. Gita Riau Makmur (HINO) Pekanbaru, 2) organizational climate has a significant positive effect on job satisfaction of employees of PT. Gita Riau Makmur (HINO) Pekanbaru, 3) Job satisfaction has a significant negative effect on turnover intention of PT. Gita Riau Makmur (HINO) Pekanbaru, 4) Job satisfaction mediates the influence of organizational climate on turnover intention of PT. Abstract

A coffee shop is a place that basically provides coffee drinks or other hot drinks. The Coffee Shop Kim Teng Pekanbaru is a legendary coffee shop in the city of Pekanbaru. This study aims to find out how the social functions of coffee shops in the city of Pekanbaru, especially in the Kim Teng Pekanbaru coffee shop. The data of this study were collected through interviews and documentation. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis. From the results of the analysis in this study it can be concluded that coffee shops have socio-economic, political and cultural functions. The main social function of the coffee shop is as a gathering place for people from various groups who use coffee shops as a place to carry out activities to achieve their goals or to fulfill their coffee needs. Furthermore, based on the results of direct observation and observation, the writer can conclude that the issues discussed are work, economic, social, and political issues that are happening in the community.Keywords: Coffee shop, social function

Abstract

The website is a communication media that is not only effective used as a online media provider. One website that is also used as an media provider for various information about tourism in Riau Province. The theory used in this study is the theory of communication effectivity as the main theory and the theory of new media as the supporting theory. The purpose of this study is to find out how much the effectiveness of the Tripriau.com website is as a media for tourism information for the regional community of My Trip My Adventure in Riau Province.This study uses quantitative research methods, with data collection techniques thas is through online questionnaires using google doc to members of the regional My Trip My Adventure community in Riau Province with a total sample of 119 people who were determined through random sampling techniques. The analysis techniques data in this research using descriptive statistical techniques.The results of this research indicate that the level of communication effectivity of Tripriau.com website as a tourism information media for the regional My Trip My Adventure community of Riau Province is classified as effective. This hasbeen proven by the result of collected data that have been measured by six indicators, each of which reaches an average scale of 3.76 on the message receiver (receiver) indicator, a scale of 3.82 on the content message indicator, 3.99 scale on the channel indicator (media), 3.84 scale on the format indicator, 3.93 scale on the message source indicator (source), and a scale of 3.81 on the timekeeping indicator (timing). So the conclusion obtained by using the average formula of all indicators is 3.85 which is included in the effective scale range. This indicates that Tripriau.com website is an effective as a tourism information media for the regional My Trip My Adventure community of Riau Province.Keyword : Communication effectivity , Information, Website, Tourism

Abstract

The occurrence of natural disasters that occur at this time in Indonesia has become awareness and attention for the community to help, the impact that has had an effect on the continuation of the lives of people in the location of the natural disaster. Awareness and sensitivity to social issues can build a person's character about ways of thinking and behaving that help others to live and work together in building a better life (Chrisiana, 2005). Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Regional Riau is present as a place for distributing aid that makes it easy for the community to donate and be trusted as well as trust. ACT has a disaster emergency program, which handles problems related to events to natural disasters that occur. In the implementation of the program, persuasive communication is carried out so that the people who become the goals can act as expected. The purpose of this study was to determine the credibility of persuaders, persuasive messages, and communication media in the ACT-funded relief activities for victims of natural disasters that occurred in Indonesia.This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The technique of determining research informants using purposive sampling techniques. The informants in this study were ACT Riau Regionalh leader, four ACT Riau administrators, two permanent donors, and one non-permanent donator from ACT Riau. Data collection techniques carried out were interviews, observation, documentation. The validity of the data in this study the author uses an extension of participation and triangulation.The results of the study show that ACT Riau has credibility as a persuader formed from aspects of expertise through experience and mastery of information delivered based on the facts of natural disaster conditions. The persuasive message delivered consists of verbal messages including simple message clarity, message misunderstanding that is easily remembered by the community, and the accuracy of the message objectives in providing information regarding natural disasters that hit a region. Whereas nonverbal messages are seen from facial expressions, intonation, ethics, to the use of attributes as ACT identities. The selection of media consists of Instagram social media, Facebook and print media in the form of banners, billboards, and flayer which are placed in locations where many people pass through.Key Words: Persuasive Communication, Aksi Cepat Tanggap, Persuasive Communication Model of Applebeum & Anatol.

Abstract

The city of Pekanbaru is one of the fastest growing areas with a growing population every year. One of the great potentials that require special attention from the city government of Pekanbaru is the implementation of parking fees that are managed by the Transportation Office of Pekanbaru City based on the Regional Regulation of Pekanbaru City Number 3 of 2009. Within 3 years there has been an increase and decrease or instability in receipt of Parking Retribution. So that it can be concluded that there have been problems that have an impact on the unstable acceptance of parking fees annually. In this case the researcher focuses on the Communication Strategy of the Department of Transportation in increasing the receipt of parking fees. This study aims to determine the strategy of selecting communicators, audiences, messages and media from the Transportation Office of the City of PekanbaruThis research was conducted at the Transportation Office of the City of Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, with purposive and snowball techniques. In this study 1 informant was chosen from the Head of the Parking UPTD, 1 informant from the TU Head of Parking Unit UPTD, 1 informant from the Head of Supervisory Team I of the UPTD Parking, 6 informants from the parking attendant and the community selected using accidental sampling. Data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion. The technique of checking the validity of the data includes the extension of participation and triangulation.The results of the study indicate that the strategy of the Pekanbaru City Transportation Office in increasing the receipt of parking retribution is the communicator or resource person who conveyed the information is the integrated patrol member of the UPTD Parking who knows best and knows the conditions in the field and the behavior of illegal parking attendants. The target audience is the illegal parking attendant who was netted during the routine patrol of the Transportation Agency. The message delivered was persuasive and carried out directly.
