Abstract

This research was conducted at Smart Ganesha Pekanbaru, located on Soebrantas street in Pekanbaru. The problem in this study is not achieving student targets during the last 4 years, this is suspected to be a problem with customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of service quality and business location on customer satisfaction on Smart Ganesha Pekanbaru. In this study the method used was descriptive quantitative with SPSS program. The sample of this study was 86 people from a population of 86 people who were obtained from census techniques. Data obtained from the results of the questionnaire were then processed to then be tested through the SPSS 16. The multiple linear regression analysis of this study was Y = 6.883 + 0.205Xı + 0.568X2. Research that has been done shows the results that respondents' responses to service quality and business location in the agreed category while in consumer satisfaction are in the category of disagree. While the t test that has been done shows that the variable quality of service and business location partially have a significant effect on consumer satisfaction. The results of the F test show that simultaneously service quality and business location have a significant effect on customer satisfaction. While the calculation of the coefficient of determination (R2) obtained the value of Adjusted R Square of 0.261. This shows that service quality and business location have an effect of 26.1% on consumer satisfaction on Smart Ganesha Pekanbaru, while the remaining 73.9% is influenced by other variables not included in this study. Keywords: Service Quality, Business Location, Constumer Satisfaction

Abstract

Health services that are less than optimal are the most common constraints felt by the people today, especially in first-level health facility services. One of the first level health facilities namely public health centers. This needs to be improved because of the many complaints from patients about the outpatient services they undergo, especially in patients who use health cards (BPJS kesehatan). This study aims to determine the forms of outpatient services available at the public health center and to find out the perceptions of BPJS outpatient patients on the services provided by the Harapan Raya Pekanbaru Public Health Center. This study uses descriptive quantitative methods. The population in this study were all patients using BPJS kesehatan services who were used outpatient treatment at Harapan Raya Public Health Center in the last month of patient visits totaling 922 people. Sampling is done by simple random sampling technique with a total sample of 90 respondents. Data collection uses the method of observation, documentation and interviews. Based on the results of the study can be concluded that BPJS patients outpatient health service gave “not good enough” responses to the provided service by Harapan Raya Public Health Center. This could be seen from 5 service characteristics, there are 3 service characteristics that received negative responses, which are the level of service guarantees with the percentage is 50,0%, the level of service responsiveness of officers is 53,3% and the level of attention of service officers is 46,7%. Keywords: Perception, Patient, Service

Abstract

This research aims to explain The Indonesian National Police (INP) strategies in countering the cross-border narcotics smuggling by a international narcotics syndicates from Malaysia that occurred in the Riau region. Ditreserse Narcotics of the Riau Regional Police stated that there was an increase in the number of narcotics cases in Riau in 2015 to 2016. In 2015, there were 1,137 cases. Later on, 2016 became 1.425 cases . In this research, the author uses the perspective of Neorealism that focuses on the structure of systems, unit interactions, continuity and system changes. To bridge between the problem and the hypothesis, the author uses the level of analysis of the nation-state. Furthermore, this research uses the Universe Defense Strategy Theory from I Wayan Mudita based on the universal state defense strategy on the Indonesian Defense White Paper. The Indonesian National Police in countering the cross-border narcotics smuggling in the Riau region uses the internal and external strategies. The internal strategies are in the form of pre-emptive, preventive and repressive actions carried out by the interdiction agency of Riau Province. Besides, the external strategy, INP collaborates with The Royal Malaysia Police. The research finds that INP has a strong commitment in countering the cross-border narcotics smuggling in order to achieve the condition of Indonesia without drugs.Keywords: Strategy, The Indonesian National Police (INP), Countering, Narcotics Smuggling, Riau Region

Abstract

Sari Matua's death ceremony is a traditional ceremony which is carried out as a form of final respect for a husband or wife who has been blessed with the grandchildren of his children even though there are still unmarried children in the Toba Batak culture. This ceremony has an important meaning and role from every element of society, especially the traditional leaders and the people who are as valuable as they are. This study aims to examine the ceremonies of the death of Sari Matua in Toba Batak culture with the focus of the problem is to find out the meaning and social values contained in the Sari Matua death ceremony. The research method used is descriptive qualitative by mentioning the theory used is symbolic interactionism supported by the results of observations and interviews of informants, namely traditional leaders and the Toba Batak community in the Pekanbaru area. The results showed that the process of carrying out the Sari Matua death ceremony was carried out by the king, at home, in the yard, in a place of worship, in a funeral using local musical instruments. Slaughter of certain animals that have meaning in the customary genealogy that is being carried out (buffalos and pigs) by sharing jambas in accordance with the role and position of traditional leaders and communities in the Toba Batak tradition. The meaning of Sari Matua's death ceremony is to respect the parents of the deceased, to establish unity and unity among the family as well as the scope of the transfer of natolu pahopaton sihal-sihal. The problem faced by the community in the implementation of this ceremony is that sufficient material is needed to prepare for the event so that some people do not carry out this ceremony properly. Abstract

This study uses 3 variables, namely job performance, competence, and promotion position. The job performance variable has 4 dimensions, namely skills and abilities, discipline, personality, and responsibility. In the competency variable has 3 dimensions, namely knowledge, work experience, and able to analyze. On variables promotion position has 7 dimensions, namely aspects of honesty, aspects of discipline, aspects of work performance, aspects of loyalty, educational aspects, aspects of leadership, and communicative aspects. This study was conducted on all employee of the Head Office PT Perkebunan Nusantara V Pekanbaru 83 peoples.  Data obtained from questionnaires and then processed then tested using statistical analysis such as validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, determination test (R2), significant individual test (t test), and simultaneous significant test (f test) with using the SPSS program. The results of the study indicate the influence of Job Performance and Competence on Position Promotion. The better job performance and employee competency, the greater the likelihood of being promoted to higher rankings. The results of the calculation of the determination coefficient (R2) obtained the value of R Square of 0.659. The meaning is that the contribution of promotion position variables and competencies to job promotion variable is 65.9%. Keyword : Job Performance, Competence, Promotion Position

Abstract

Management Infrastructure of Trans Metro bus is a method implemented by the Transportation Department of Pekanbaru City to make Trans Metro Kota Pekanbaru a safe comfortable, reliable and affordable and made pekanbaru livable as a city. Transmetro management is in control The department of transportation Pekanbaru managed by technical service unit of of urban transportation management system. The purpose of this study is to find out how management Infrastrukture of Trans Metro bus and inhibiting factors . Is the theoretical concept used by the writers is management function by Amirullah  which consists of:Planning, Organization, actuating, controlling. The research method used is a type of qualitative research case study approach, the selection of informants using the purposive sampling technique. The techniques of collecting data are through observation, interviews, library studies, and documentation. The results of this study at  realization Strategic the management of Trans Metro bus by Departement Transportation at Pekanbaru city optimally. The inhibiting factors include facilities and infrastructure , budget , human resources and lack of public awareness . It’s better if The department of transportation Pekanbaru does The management of transpotation Trans Metro Pekanbaru well and solving the traffic problems, air polution in order to Transportation Trans Metro can operate in pekanbaru and made sustainable transport. Keywords: Management, Infrastructure, Trans Metro Pekanbaru

Abstract

The Mempura River Tourism Village is a tourist village located in Siak Regency. This tourist village has quite good natural potential and is still beautiful, and cultural arts are still very awake. This study aims to determine community participation in developing the Mempura River Tourism Village and to find out the barriers to community participation in developing the Mempura River Tourism Village.This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The research subjects were the Tourism Office of Siak Regency, the tourism conscious group (pokdarwis) of Mempura River, the Mempura River community and the chairman of the Malay traditional institution. Data collection is done through observation, document study, interviews and documentation. While data analysis is done by reducing data, presenting data, drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the Mempura River Tourism Village has natural attractions such as the beauty of the river, agro-tourism such as durian gardens, cultural arts such as silat, zapin and kompang which are still maintained. However, community participation in the Mempura River Tourism Village is still low in advancing their villages. Accessibility to the Mempura River Tourism Village is very easy with good road conditions. Keywords : Community Participation, Tourist Village, the Mempura River

Abstract

This research describes the efforts of diplomatic pressure in Malaysia against Myanmar in dealing with the slaughter of Rohingya ethnic Muslims then, explain Malaysia and Myanmar diplomatic relations before the heated conflict of Rohingya Muslim ethnic massacre in Rakhine. The purpose of this study was to analyze and find out the shape and efforts of Malaysia to help the Muslim ethnic Rohingya. The humanitarian crisis that occurred in Myanmar received various criticisms from several countries such as Malaysia, Indonesia and other countries. This is due to the large number of Rohingya refugees who have fled to neighboring countries to get protection. the large number of Rohingya refugees can disrupt security stability in the Southeast Asia region, and cause concern for the country targeted by Rohingya refugees. Malaysia, one of ASEAN members, protested against the actions of the Myanmar government which had violated human rights towards its ethnic groups. Malaysia considers Myanmar's actions out of bounds and must be stopped so that there are no more victims. As for Malaysia's efforts to help Rohingya ethnic groups such as doing diplomacy and inviting ASEAN member countries and to work together to help their spirits. Abstract

5 June 2017 Saudi Arabia announced severed diplomatic relations with Qatar. Arab Saudi also announced a full blockade of Qatar, closed the land border, seaports and airspace with Qatar. All planes traveling to and from Qatar prevented from landing in Saudi Arabia. Qatar’s diplomats were given 48 hours to leave Saudi Arabia while other Qatari nationals were allowed two weeks to leave. Then Saudi Arabia stopping military ties with Qatar on the Yemeni conflict and closed Al Jazeera news agency in the country. The purpose of this research is to find out what is the reason Saudi Arabia severing diplomatic relations with Qatar in 2017. This research theoretically has built with Realism perspectives on International Relations and supported by Non Traditional Security theory Barry Buzan. Formulation of all arguments, facts, and theoretical framework on this research is guided by qualitative explanation methods. Technique in this research is through by library research. Data which is gotten and collected from books, journals, the last thesis and then from internet as related to the problems. The result of this research found that the reason Saudi Arabia severed diplomatic relations with Qatar for several reasons. First, the potential superiority of Qatar towards Saudi Arabia, especially in the economic field which could threaten Saudi Arabian influence in the gulf region. Second, because the Al Jazeera media owned by Qatar continues announced about the Muslim Brotherhood and and other militant groups that have been designated as terrorist groups by Saudi Arabia. Al Jazeera also became a media that helped spread democracy in gulf region especially when Arab Spring. Last because Qatar and Iran affiliations have made Saudi Arabia feel that Qatar is obedient because it has cooperated with a country that is always considered an enemy by Saudi Arabia.Keywords: Severing Diplomatic Relations, Non Traditional Security, Realism

Abstract

This research entitled " Tourism Govenance Ketapang Beach In The Villages Of Sungai Cingam In The Rupat District Of Bengkalis District In 2017-2018" This research was motivated by the existence of Minister of Home Affairs regulation number 10 of 2009 about tourism which explains that tourism is a variety of tourism activities and is supported by various facilities and services provided by the community, businessmen, government, and local government. As for the formulation of the problem in this study is “how is the tourism Govenance Ketapang Beach In The Villages Of Sungai Cingam In The Rupat District Of Bengkalis District In 2017-2018”.The method used in this study is a qualitative method that describes data descriptively. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation and documentation. whereas, the source of the data used is the primary data obtained from the location of the study in the form of research informants and subsequently supported by secondary data in the form of data documents.The results of this study indicate that The results of this study indicate that tourism management in the Village of Sungai Cingam has not run optimally according to the principles of good tourism governance. This is because the achievement of each principle has not been fully fulfilled. These factors include the activeness and synergy of stakeholders not yet fully realized, partnerships only reach the level of the village government and the partnership has not been widely felt and has not been able to encourage local ownership, training programs that have not been implemented, public aspirations are still general, promotion is still minimal and stands individually, as well as guidelines for monitoring and evaluating tourist attractions are still simple without any special indicators to measure the impact of tourism activities carried out. Keywords: Tourism, Government, Private Sector, Society
