Abstract

Currently social media or social networking has become commonplace because almost most people have used social media, especially among students who can be said to include digital native generation. The ease with which new communications technology makes its users become dependent. According to Thadani & Cheung (2011) Online Social Network Dependency (OSN Dependency) is defined as an impulse control disorder in which an individual experiences rising tension or arousal before engaging in online social networking sites (Online SNS) and a sense of relief or pleasure after completion of the behavior. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of Instagram social media among Riau University students and what factors were most dominant in influencing the level of social media at the University of Riau.This type of research is quantitative with descriptive approach.Respondents in this study were 166 students of Riau University Social Media Instagram users. How to determine the population of researchers using Unknown Population and samples using accidental sampling technique. Methods of data collection using questionnaires. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis using SPSS 23.The results of this study show the dependence of this matter seen from the data processing of the seven indicators, the Mood Alteration indicator scores reached 3.39 and on a scale highly dependent, Social Benefit score reached 2.83 and is on the scale dependent, Negative Outcome score 3, 24 on scale, Compulsivity score 3.12 is on a scale dependent, Excessive Time score of 3.26 is on a highly dependent scale, Withdrawal score of 3.27 is on a highly dependent scale, and Interpersonal Control with score of 3.25 is in dependent category. So the conclusion obtained by using the average formula of all indicators is 3.19 which is included in the scaled-scale range. This shows that students of Riau University Depends on social media of Instagram.Keyword: Implementation, Online Social Network, Dependency, Instagram

Abstract

This is done in Batang Batindih Village, Rumbio Jaya Sub-District, Kampar District. The purpose of this research is to know the formation of Farmer Class structure in Batang Batindih Village, Rumbio Jaya Sub-district, Kampar Regency. The focus of this research is the formation of the class structure created by the farmers, which is related to Farmers, Peron, Tauke, Koprasi Unit Desa (KUD), the determination of social class structure that occurs in see through the distribution pattern and also the influence of the distribution group. The technique of determining samples by Pusposive Sampling and emphasizing the number of dample as many as 9 people. The writer uses qualitative descriptive method which is done to find there are some Characteristic of Farmer, Peron, Tauke And Oil Palm Harvest Worker, Worker of loading and unloading of Peron, Oil Palm Loader of TPH field located in Batang Bihddih Village, farmers have great strength and influence in karenan has a palm oil area in the oil palm plantation in Batang Batindih Village has three oil palm distribution structures, ie Farmers - Koprasi Unit desa (KUD) - Factory, Farmer - Tauke - Peron - Factory, Farmer - Peron - Factory. The pattern of the structure will affect the group of land owners and also the distribution group, Labor. The researcher also finds the managers of palm oil distribution in providing services to Palm Oil Farmers, Labor in order to keep working together to make the distribution of distribution, Farmers and Workers profits, and to make good communication between Farmers, Laborers and managers of oil palm fisherieKeywords: Stratifikasi. Abstract

This research describes about the motivation of the Scottish Government for a referendum as an attempt secession from the United Kingdom in 2014. The United Kingdom are a combination of England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Scotland?s area are 78.772 km2 or covers one-third of the United Kingdom. The Scottish government have different views and ideas with the British Government on policy making in some sectors. Scotland also has a great potential in the oil and gas resources that should be able to support the national economy.This research using qualitative method that collect data related from various sources. The writer collects data from books, encyclopedia, journals, mass media, and websites to analyze about motivation of Scottish Government conduct a referendum on independence. The theory applied in this research is the perspective of realism to the theory of ?public policy? by William N. Dunn.The results of this research shows that the Scottish Government's ambition to make Scotland a more democratic, build more prosperous country, and realize a more equitable society. Scotland?s Referendum was held on September 18, 2014, with the result that 55.25 percent of the people of Scotland choose to still be a part of the United Kingdom and 44.65 percent choose independence.Key words: referendum, public policy, national economy

Abstract

Public response towards the condition of traditional market in Tampan district of Pekanbaru city. The study is in Arengka morning market which is located in Soekarno-Hatta street, Pekanbaru. Arengka morning market is the only one market which is open everyday which is located in Tampan district whose the biggest number of population from the another district in Pekanbaru city, with the condition of Arengka morning market includes the merchandise?s price, the safety, the parking, the location of merchandise, and also the quality and the quantity of merchandise in Arengka morning market as the traditional market, and with those conditions how the response of Tampan district?s public as the customers of Arengka morning market.The purpose of this research is to know the Public response towards the condition in that traditional market, as has been described, the respond is physical condition, the parking, quality and quantity of merchandise, etc. the method in this research is quantitative descriptive, which is done in Arengka morning market, with the number of sample is 85 respondents that is found in the location research with accidental technique, and with the respondents? characteristic whose 5 years experience in shopping. In collecting the data, the researcher uses observation technique, leaded interview, and questionnaire.The result research shows that public response which is include the perception, the behaviour, and the participation have showed the positive response. This is because although the condition of the traditional market is not good enough, but only in the specific part, and this is also because Arengka morning market is not managed by government, but managed by private, so those conditions have resemble to the perfection.The Keyword : Public response, Market condition, hope

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the organizational climate and organizational commitment and its effect on employee performance at Grand Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru. Climate Organization as a variable (X1), Organizational Commitment as a variable (X2), and employee performance as a variable (Y). Method in this research is descriptive and quantitative by using program of SPSS 21, where sampel used is 89 employees conducted by census and technique of data collecting through koesioner. The result of the analysis using the test of validity, reliability test, test of determination, simple linear regression test, multiple linear regression test, t test and F test so that it can be concluded that organizational climate has significant effect to employee performance at Hotel Grand Zuri Pekanbaru, Employee performance at Grand Zuri Hotel Pekanbaru, and organizational climate and organizational commitment have a significant effect on employee performance at Hotel Grand Zuri Pekanbaru. Abstract

The cadre of the Democratic Party Branch Board (DPC) aims to strengthen the party's institution so that the regeneration process must be continuously conducted to strengthen the ties within the Democratic party. Political parties without regeneration will not mean anything. Every political party must have a good regeneration system. A good cadre system is obtained when each related party works together in forming a regeneration pattern. It is therefore necessary for cooperation between the parties who perform the cadre and new members who will join as well as other factors such as materials that form the pattern of thinking and working a cadre in accordance with the goals of the party. This study aims to Know the cadre of the Democratic Party of Pekanbaru City and to know Factors cause cadres moved from other political parties to the democratic party.This study used descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques used based on the reality of the field through observation, interviews, and documentation. Informants in this study amounted to 6 people, 3 people as members of the Regional House of Representatives Pekanbaru City and 3 more is the Secretary of DPC Democratic Party of Pekanbaru City and Division who occupy the position at DPC Democratic Party Pekanbaru City. Data analysis technique used is interactive data analysis model. While for examination of data validity of researcher use technique of elongation of participation and also triangulation.Based on the results of research that the cadre conducted in DPC Democratic Party of Pekanbaru City to do that is: the envoy from the Democratic Party went to new members for its readiness and see the wishes of candidates for the battle of elections 2014. And then pengkadaren done in DPC Democratic Party Pekanabru City, Competence , Knowledge, Attitude (Behavior). Abstract

Based on the background found a phenomenon that occurs in the field, namely the service obtained by members of the cooperative from the service and cooperative management less satisfying members of the cooperative, cooperative management does not accept aspirations and suggestions from members of the cooperative both in terms of cooperative activities, cooperative members also do not get information from cooperative management about activities carried out in cooperative savings and loans. The type used in this study is qualitative with descriptive survey techniques. The location of this study was conducted at the Sentosa Ikat Multipurpose Cooperative in the City of Bukittinggi. Research Results Cooperation Management Fields Case Study of the Sentosa Ikat Multipurpose Cooperative in the City of Bukittinggi can be seen from the results of research interviews, that the policy targets were not achieved because cooperative members were not satisfied with achieving welfare members of cooperatives, official resources and management of cooperatives have been sufficient to provide services to members of cooperatives and it is different from the opinions of members who receive services from the cooperative management. Keywords: Management, Cooperative, Service

Abstract

The rapid development of social networking brings a new trend to carry out acts of oppression online or better known as cyberbullying. Cyberbullying is a reproachful behavior, giving negative judgment through social media Instagram. The phenomenon that arises at this time is the emergence of body shaming actions. Body shaming is the act of commenting on one's physical, appearance, or self-image which is an act of bullying. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there is an influence of cyberbullying body shaming on Instagram social media on the confidence of career women in Pekanbaru. The theory used is stimulus-response (S-R).The method used in this study is a quantitative method with an explanatory format. In the analysis of quantitative research methods using inferential statistical analysis. Researchers collected data using a questionnaire distributed via links to 100 respondents and the technique of determining samples using simple random sampling techniques. To determine how much influence these two variables have, the researcher uses simple linear regression analysis. Processing of questionnaire test data using SPSS version 16. The results of this study indicate that the influence of cyberbullying body shaming on social media Instagram on the confidence of career women in Pekanbaru, the regression coefficient values obtained in this study were Y = 10.204 + 0.741X with a significance level of 0.000 less than α = 0.05, so it can be concluded that the variable X affects the Y variable. The coefficient of determination (r2) obtained is 0,5752and (Rsquare) is 0.331 results from the squaring of the correlation coefficient 0.575 x 0.575 This means that there is a cyberbullying body shaming effect on self confidence of 33.1% with a low category, career women have entered at a good level in commenting and using Instagram social media, the remaining 66.9% is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Keywords :Cyberbullying, Body Shaming, Confidence

Transsexual or a person who emotionally and psychologically feels that they belong to the opposite sex or more often called pansy/drag queen is one of the minorities who often marginalized by the society. Bad view from the society make the difficult to transsexual get a decent job. Society has always viewed negatively to transsexual without see any positive side owned from transsexual. The society does not see that there are so many function of transsexual. The society considers that the existence of a transsexual breake the values and norms in society. The society should be aware that transsexual need social service from the society. Abstract

Elections are the means to carry out the people's sovereignty is based on the principle of direct, public, free and confidential, and honest and fair. Political stability is essential to facilitate the implementation of development, a safe, fair, and open election process. The result of voting by all citizens, which is expected to deliver the nation to a clean and authoritative, peaceful and prosperous government. Couples M. Amin and M. Shaleh is one of the candidate pairs who participated in the election of Kampar Regency Head of 2017-2022 period who got the sequence one. However, in the election of the head of the region M. Amin and M. Shaleh lost and only got the order to 4 out of five pairs of candidates who participated in the election. However, the defeat suffered by M. Amin and M. Shaleh is not the end of any struggle in helping and building up of Kampar Regency society. let alone M. Amin known by a successful entrepreneur and also served as chairman of Apindo (Indonesian Employers Association) Kampar regency. of course M. Amin has an important role in economic affairs in Kampar. The base of support consists of the basis of political parties, cultural bases and social bases and also diliat from political strategy that is political communication, political marketing and the capability of successful teams with the aim to win the couple M.Amin and M, Shaleh not run optimally.Keywords: Defeat factor, base off support, successful team capabilities
