Abstract

This research was conducted on fruit traders in Arengka Morning Market in Pekanbaru City with the aim to find out how the elements of social capital and the obstacles faced by fruit traders in Arengka Morning Market in running social capital. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. The subjects in this study were 7 people. The technique of determining informants is by using purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling is taking subjects by specifying specific characteristics in accordance with the objectives of the study so that it is expected to answer the research problem. In collecting data, researchers used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The theory used is the theory of social capital put forward by Putnam which consists of social networks, social norms and beliefs. The results of this study are that social capital is very important in running a business and the smooth operation of fruit in the Arengka Morning Market in Pekanbaru City, such as a network that can help to expedite their businesses. Social norms that become a benchmark and make them more directed. Trust that makes it easy for them to sell fruit. with the existence of social capital such as networks, norms and trust, fruit sellers can maintain fruit and facilitate their business because managing the business is carried out together and a sense of trust is established. the obstacles faced in running social capital with differences of opinion or problems that occur between the parties involved in running the business because there are those who are disappointed and disadvantaged, the cooperation will not run well and can be broken relations.

Abstract

GoRiau.com news portal is one of the most active news portal in Riau. This news portal has a readership of 200 thousand people a day and has been registered in the Press Company (SPS) with Card Number Member (KTA) 001/06 / E / 2014. News writing uploaded this news portal is guided by the rules of journalism language. Language is a means of conveying information. The use of good and correct language can make it easier for audiences to absorb information from the news clearly. In accordance with the assumption of Social Responsible Pers theory, where the press is required to be responsible for writing or news to the public. The purpose of this study is to know the standard systematic news writing applicable in the news portal GoRiau.com and the application of journalistic language on the news and criminal news portal GoRiau.com.This research uses qualitative research method. The location of this research is a news portal address at Surya Kartama Agung Street 44a Marpoyan Damai Pekanbaru. Selection of informants was done by purposive technique. As for the informants in this research is one person chairman of Persatuan Journalist Indonesia (PWI) Pekanbaru, one chief editor, one journalist, and two readers of GoRiau.com news portal. Data collection techniques used during the research is by way of observation, interview and documentation. While the data validity that writer use is triangulation.The results show that, GoRiau.com news portal does not have a specific systematic standard of news writing. The systematic standards used today follow a general rule that is also used by other mass media. The general rules are like following the Enhanced Spell (EYD), Great Language Dictionary (KBBI), Journalistic Language and the Journalistic Code of Ethics. As for the application of journalistic language in the rubric of Law and Criminal, the author finds the existence of news writing that does not match the rules of journalistic language guidelines applicable among journalists. In principle, news should be written following the principle of journalistic language is clear, solid, straightforward, interesting so that readers can understand it easily.Keywords: News portal, Journalistic language, GoRiau.com

Abstract

Cultural diplomacy is a category of Soft Diplomacy in the implementation of a country's foreign policy. Cultural diplomacy is a manifestation of the implementation of public diplomacy. One of the cultural diplomacy instruments used by Indonesia to United Kingdom in Cultural Festival. Diplomacy through festival is known as Cultural Diplomacy. Indonesian's Festival aims to win the hearts and minds of foreigners thereby increasing interaction and cooperation with other countries. Using the theory of diplomacy is the concept of soft power by Joseph Nye, Jr and perspective of Neorealism by Kenneth Waltz, this research obtained data through literature studies and direct research to the Indonesia Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The research shows that Indonesian's Cultural Diplomacy have been done through annual festivals serving Indonesian culinary, art,and fashion, participation of Indonesian government in annual culinary festival held by the United Kingdom. It was also found that the implementation of culure diplomacy impacts the level of increasing number of tourist from the United Kingdom to visit Indonesia. Abstract

The Regional Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD) is an official regional planning document that is in force within the next 5 (five) years of the elected head of the regional administration. The steps taken to establish the RPJMD is to discuss and approve the legislative with the executive. Based on this matter then formulated a problem in this research are: How the dynamics of politics in the discussion and mutual consent Proposed Regional Regulation RPJMD Bengkalis District Year 2016-2021.The purpose of this study to determine the dynamics that occurred in the process of discussion and mutual consent with Proposed Regional Regulation RPJMD Bengkalis District Year 2016-2021. This research method using qualitative approach with descriptive research type.The results of the research are as follows: First, the delay of Proposed Regional Regulation RPMMD determination of Bengkalis Regency caused by the handover of Proposed Regional Regulation RPJMD very close to the time limit given and 4 (four) fractions request to postpone the discussion Proposed Regional Regulation RPJMD. Secondly, the regional head does not propose general policies and regional medium-term development programs and indicate the priority program plan that accompanied the funding needs to the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) for discussion and agreement. Third, there is a difference of vision of RPJMD with the vision of bupati when running and being registered at the General Elections Commission (KPU). After going through the various stages, finally the discussion Proposed Regional Regulation RPJMD completed and agreed together to then be established into a Regional Regulation.Keywords: Mutual Consent, Regional Medium Term Development Plan, Proposed Regional Regulation.

Abstract

 This study aims to determine the level of correlation of socio-economic status to the political participation of the community of Sungai Lakam Barat Village in the General Election of Head and Deputy Regional Head of Karimun Regency in 2015 and also to find out the inhibiting factors and supporting factors of voting. The design of this study is quantitative where it uses a non probability sampling approach. The data collection technique used was questionnaire sheets which were submitted to the respondents. The analysis used is quantitative analysis which is presented in table form and then explained. Based on the results of this research, the socio-economic status influences the political participation of the Sungai Lakam Barat District Community in the 2015 General Election and Deputy Head of Karimun Regency and the most influential inhibiting factors for voting are loss of trust in politics, and the most influential contributing factor to voting is having an awareness of responsibility as a good Indonesian citizen Keywords: Participation, Politics, and Social Economy

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Implementation of Community-Based Sanitation Programs in Pekanbaru City and to find out what factors are inhibiting the Implementation of Community-Based Sanitation Programs in Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted at the Department of Public Housing andPekanbaru City Settlement Area and Lembah Damai Sub-District, Rumbai Pesisir district, Pekanbaru City. As for the theory used in this study is the theory of the program by Charles O. Jones in Suryana namely organizing, interpreting and applying or application. This research uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach using purposive sampling techniques for the community obtained through interviews, observation and documentation. research results show that, the implementation of the Department of Public Housing and Settlement Areas of the City of Pekanbaru on the implementation of community-based sanitation programs in the city of Pekanbaru has been running but has not been maximized. the inhibiting factor is from the community, because many people reject the community sanitation program and the lack of community knowledge about sanitation. it is better to increase socialization to the community so that the community can understand the sanitation-based program and no community refuses to implement the community-based sanitation program. Keywords: Implementation, Sanitation, Program,

Abstract

This research was conducted in Kelurahan Simpang Baru Kecamatan Tampan Kota Pekanbaru.The purpose of this study was to determine the forms of hedonism student lifestyle in Kelurahan Simpang Baru KecamatanTampan Kota Pekanbaru. This study titled “Lifestyle Hedonism Student in Kelurahan Simpang Baru KecamatanTampan Kota Pekanbaru”. Topics focus of this research is how the hedonistic lifestyle impacts students in Kelurahan Simpang Baru. Object Research is a student at the University of Riau domiciled in Kelurahan Simpang Baru. The sample in this study amounted to 10 people. The author uses descriptive quantitative method and the data were analyzed qualitatif and using retrieval techniques Puspoive sampling. Instruments of data are observation, questionnaires and documentation. From research conducted, the authors found that the consumption patterns coed Universitas Riau in Kelurahan Simpang Baru characterized by a pattern kosumsi such as: Needs Student In Entertainment, The World Tonight Will student needs,like to buy expensive things.Universitas Riau student hedonistic lifestyle has some positive and negative effects. The positive impact is composed of: foster self-confidence, expanding the scope of friendship. The negative impact of a hedonistic lifestyle Univeritas Riau student is: never satisfied, accustomed to living lavishly, fall behind in academic, lost their identity. The sophistication of technology, communication tools, and her fashionable outfit today has claimed the attention of young people should focus on preparing themselves for the future challenges that require thought and behavior are very rational. Abstract

This research aims to explain the interests of Indonesia in cooperation with Japan in the field of defense in 2015. The agreement is set forth in a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation and exchange in the field of defense on March 23, 2015 in Japan. The agreement was signed by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Indonesia Ryamizard Ryacudu and Japanese Defense Minister Gen Nakatani.In this research, the author used national interest concept and the theory of foreign policy strategic model / rational model and the theory of international cooperation by Kalevi Jaako Holsti. This research used qualitative research that attempt to express an essence of social phenomena by analyzing the phenomenon based on existing theories and data. Data collection techniques from this research is library research where the data comes from books, newspapers, journals, official documents, internet and other data that support in writing this research.The result of this research is the cooperation between Indonesia and Japan in the field of defense in 2015 aims to meet the needs of Indonesia in improving its defense in terms of quality and quantity through modernization of Indonesia’s defense equipment, Transfer of Technology, information exchange on defense matters, exchanges and training of personnel, And experts, and other forms and the fulfillment of Minimum Essential Force Phase II can be met maximally. Indonesia's desire to become a maritime axis of the world is also increasingly realized and make Indonesia's defense industry more independent with the cooperation.Keywords: Jakarta Declaration, International Relations, National Interest, Defense Cooperation, Modernization of Defense Equipments.

Abstract

Strategy is a careful plan that organized and held by a candidate who has a purpose or target. The goal is what a candidate wants to achieve. In this case, especially is the target of vote’s support that manifested by the vote. A strategy should be able to describe the ways or steps to be taken.The legislative election is one of democracy action that held to elect the people’s representatives to achieve the political goal. In the legislative election that held on April 9th, 2014. People can elect and vote directly for a candidate. Zukri got the highest ballot / vote in six electoral districts, such as Pelalawan district and Siak district in the legislative election of Riau Province in 2014. Therefore, this research is trying to elaborate the strategy of Zukri clinched the votes / ballot in legislative election in 2014.Theories that used to explain the achievement are strategy theory and political marketing theory. These theories are used to review Zukri’s strategy in getting the votes and the achievement factors in getting the votes in VI electoral districts.Keywords: Strategy, Legislative Election

Abstract

Ruqyah alternative treatment as a phenomenon becomes a very interesting study to be studied. Doing alternative treatment Ruqyah is not an easy thing, considering that alternative treatment Ruqyah is still classified as rare treatment when compared with medical treatment. Ruqyah in Peknbaru city is one of the favored treatment by pekanbaru society. But still many contradictions against alternative treatment Ruqyah in the city of Pekanbaru also affect the patient alternative medicine in interpreting the treatment that live. This study aims to determine the motives of alternative medical patinets in Pekanbaru city to do Ruqyah, knowing the meaning of Ruqyah that their live as well as their communication experience.This research uses qualitative research method with phenomenology approach. The subjects consisted of seven patients of Ruqyah alternative treatment in Pekanbaru City who were selected by using snowball technique. Data collection is done through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation. To test the validity of the data writer used the method of extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this study indicate the motive of alternative medical patients in Pekanbaru City Ruqyah consists of the motive of the past (because motive) and the motive of the future (in order to motive). The motive of the patient's past alternative treatment Pekanbaru doing Ruqyah is (1) obsessive motive (2) financial motive and (3) the background motive of the disease, while the future motive of patient of alternative medicine in Pekanbaru City doing Ruqyah is (1) (2) evaluation motives and (3) motive paradigm. Alternative medicine patients interpret the Ruqyah they live as (1) syariat in Islamic religion, (2) self-cleaning process and (3) solution for non-physical pain. The communication experience of alternative treatment patients in doing Ruqyah is divided into experience while undergoing treatment and experience after treatment. Based on the motives, meanings, and experiences of the patients on Ruqyah based on the frequency of recovery he gave birth to the types of alternative ruqyah treatment patients in pekanbaru city, namely the type of Ruqyah taqwa patient and Ruqyah future patient type.
