Abstract

Media construction tends to display female characters that are complex and contradictory. Often negative stereotypes about the character of women are displayed in a weak position and their existence is always exploited by the media as a sweetener object. However, it cannot be denied that patriarchal culture is very much inherent in labeling subordinate women. This film tells about the struggle of a female character named Marlina. He did not stay silent watching his livestock being taken by robbers who also wanted to claim his honor. Marlina defended herself by killing the robbers and beheading one of the robbers to be taken to the police station as evidence of justice. This study aims to see how the informants interpret the female characters in the film Marlina The Killer in Four.This research uses descriptive qualitative research that focuses on reception. The research data were obtained through a process of interviews, observation and documentation of the determination of informants using purposive sampling techniques. The data analysis technique used is the reception analysis method which consists of data collection, analysis and interpretation of reception data. While the technique of checking the validity of the data uses source triangulation.The results of this study indicate that the majority of informants are in the dominant position to hold a reception resulting in the character of women helping each other, intelligent, firm, strong, brave, good, weak, and emotional. While the informants who are in the negotiating position perceive the female character as strong but dangerous, smart but do not like the act of murder, brave but may have become a habit. Then the informant who is in the position of opposition perceives the characters of gossiping, creepy, selfish, and emotional women.  Keyword: Reception Analysis, Women’s Character, Film

Abstract

The background of this research is a case of illegal fishing in the waters of Anambas increasing by 2013-2015 and were carried out by foreign fishermen. This research seeks to know the form of surveillance in the eradication of illegal fishing activities by foreign fishermen in the Anambas Islands Regency and also find out what factors hampered in the exercise of supervision of marine resources and fisheries and also the eradication of illegal fishing activities in the waters of Anambas.This research was conducted in the Anambas Islands Regency namely Department of marine and Fisheries and the Anambas Islands Regency Office Satker Tarempa PSDKP. The research method used was qualitative approach that will produce the descriptive data aims to describe the real state of affairs in the field in a systematic and accurate facts or analysis related research, as well as observations based on the particular information or data. The technique of data collection is done with the interview, observation and documentation.The results of this study explains that there are three forms of surveillance in the eradication of illegal fishing in Anambas Island Regency. Three forms of surveillance are legislative surveillance by DPRD of Anambas Island Regency, judicial surveillance by the ad hoc judisial for fishery law enforcement, and administrative and supervision by a team of joint operational surveillance of fisheries resources in surveillance at sea of a foreign ship and permissions related standard catching fish. Restricting factors of supervision and the eradication of illegal fishing is the lack of communication and coordination between team members combined supervision, absence of home detensi immigration, the budget for the supervision of the supervisor, the ship is still inadequate, and also human resources (HR).Keywords: supervision, Marine Resources and fisheries, Illegal Fishing.

Abstract

Strapping rope is a rope used by PT. Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper for binding pallets. Strapping rope waste generated by the company is increasing and usually the strapping rope is discarded by the company when it is no longer in use. However, this rope waste can be utilized by the community so as to produce crafts of economic value and then formed a woven strapping craft industry named group Tunas Harapan. This group of artisans has long existed and is still able to maintain its existence in modern times like today. This group of craftsmen is located in the Tualang Subdistrict, precisely in Tualang Village. The purpose of this study is to determine how the level of social capital elements that are owned by groups of artisans Tunas Harapan and to analyze the obstacles that exist in the group in maintaining its existence. The theory used in this study is the theory of social capital. This research is a quantitative research with descriptive type. The population and sample in this study were all workers or craftsmen of woven string strapping group Tunas Harapan by using census techniques, the researchers took the total population in the craft industry strapping group Tunas Harapan as many as 90 respondents. Data collection is done by field observations, interviews by preparing in advance a questionnaire or a list of questions and documentation. The analysis was carried out by group data processing in each indicator and cross tabulation. The results of this study can be concluded that the most powerful and dominant element of social capital in the Tunas Harapan group is the element of trust and norms. Whereas the most dominant obstacle in the Tunas Harapan group came from the respondent as a woven craftsman.   Keywords: Social Capital, Tunas Harapan Woven Craftsmen Group

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the synergy District Government Kepulaun Meranti in waste management. This study uses qualitative research methods with descriptive research, which can be interpreted as a problem-solving process was investigated by describing the state of the research subjects were based on the facts that appear during the study were then followed by the popularity of existing theories.Based on the results of this study concluded that synergy Kepulauan Meranti regency government in waste management in 2016 had not been effective. Waste management do Office Market, Hygiene and conducting collection and pengakutan rubbish you may have on household waste and rubbish commerce. While the Department of Public Works do the construction of roads and bridges to facilitate the flow of transport of transporting waste, construction of TPS made of concrete / cast to facilitate people throw garbage, construction of drainage as cleanup efforts drains so that the waste does not accumulate in trenches and facilitate attendant waste collector for membersihaknya, besides TPA to establish areas as intended. The Environment Agency only empower the community in waste management through education and training recycle waste, but these activities have not shown significant results in waste management in Kepulauan Meranti District. Obstacles in the waste management collide at the disposal site (TPA) which is narrow, while the new location is very remote and there is no access to the landfill. Infrastructure landfill (garbage cans) and freight transport was minimal. Human resources owned is still very limited does not correspond with the area. Management of waste management is still using the old pattern or the traditional ie the way in fuel. Not been determined by the regulatory / local regulations regarding waste management, so that the direction of waste management often choppy.Keywords: Synergy, Waste Management, Institutional

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the influence of organizational culture and work discipline on employee performance office section at PT.PLN (Persero) Area Pekanbaru Rayon City East.This research method is descriptive and quantitative by using program of SPSS 21,where sample used is employee part office PT.PLN (Persero) Area Pekanbaru Rayon City East with respondents as many 41 people. For sampling technique used census method. The Data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews.The results of ananlisis use validity test, reability test, determination test, simple linear regression test, multiple linear regression test, t test and F test so that it can be seen that organizational culture variables significantly influence employee performance, that work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance, and A significant influence between organizational culture and work discipline on employee performance.keyword: Organizational Culture, Work Discipline, and Employee Performanc

Abstract

This research was conducted in Baturijal Hulu Village, Peranap Sub-district of Indragiri Hulu Regency, whose research objects are first graders (1), two (2) and three (3) who attend school at Secondary School 2 Peranap. This study aims to see and know what factors internal and external factors of students continuing education in Secondary School Second Rice. This study looks at the theory of rational action. The population of this study are children who are sitting in first grade (1), two (2), and three (3) Senior Secondary School 2 Rice, Sampling using Probability Sampling. Then the data is analyzed by using descriptive quantitative method. Based on the result of the analysis found that students choose school in Secondary School 2 Roles consisting of internal and external factors are dominant on external factors based on family factors, school environment and their playmate compared with internal based on their own desires, ideals and talents. Abstract

This study aims to determine Consumer Segmentation at PT. Veronicca Putri Meutuah Tour and Travel Pekanbaru. The population in this study were consumers who bought flight tickets in the 2016-2019 purchase period, totaling 14,318 tickets sold. The number of samples used was 100 people using the Slovin formula. Data collection was carried out using qualitative descriptive methods using survey sheets (questionnaires), observations, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate segmentation is divided into 4 aspects according to Kotler 1992 in Sunyoto 2012: 57-62 namely geographic segmentation, demographic segmentation, psychographic segmentation and behavioristic segmentation. With the demographic segmentation variables, behavior and geography are very significant in the grouping of consumers in PT. Veronicca Putri Meutuah. Abstract

The Family of Hope Program (PKH) is a conditional social assistance program for poor and vulnerable families and / or individuals who are registered in the integrated data handling program for the poor, processed by data centers and social welfare information and designated as PKH beneficiary families. The Family of Hope Program (PKH) has a goal which is to reduce poverty and inequality in Pekanbaru City. Tenayan Raya sub-district is the sub-district that has the highest number of PKH beneficiary families in Pekanbaru City. This research was conducted at the Social Service City of Pekanbaru. The importance of the role of the Social Service in the implementation of PKH in Pekanbaru City is that in the implementation of PKH in the field in accordance with the objectives to be achieved by the Government.            The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in Pekanbaru City especially in the District of Tenayan Raya as well as the factors that influence the implementation of the program.            The theoretical concepts used by the authors are Program Implementation Theory by David C. Korten and Poverty Theory. This type of research is a qualitative descriptive. Data collection techniques carried out through interviews with research informants selected purposively and document recording. Data analysis techniques in this study used qualitative data analysis methods.            The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) in alleviating poverty in the Tenayan Raya District of Pekanbaru City is still not optimal. Factors that influence the less optimal implementation of PKH in Tenayan Raya based on David C. Korten's theory are the program implementers, the small nominal amount of assistance, and program targets. Keywords: Implementation, Hope Family Program.

Abstract

This research describes about the intervention that Russia was made in a border conflict between Abkhazia and South Ossetia against Georgia in Georgia’s territory. The intervention that Russia made finally involved conflict between Russia and Georgia.The research method applies qualitative descriptive method, realism perspective and National Security theory. The author collected data from books, encyclopedia, journal, mass media and website to analyze the form of intervention Russia in a border conflict between Abkhazia and South Ossetia against Georgia, the impact of Russia’s intervene and to analyze Russia’s interest to involve in that conflict. The conclusion of this research is Russia’s interest to getting involved and intervene the conflict is because Rusia wants to reunite former member states of Soviet Union and create a new Communist-Socialist power under its influence and hegemony in Caucasus Region to stem the influence of the United States and NATO. Key words: Russia, Borders Conflict, Influence, Hegemony, NATO, USA, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Georgia, Intervention,Civil War.
