Abstract

This study is an international research study in the study of diplomacy and security strategy. That describes the normalization of Turkey-Israel diplomatic relations. This study wants to know why Turkey normalizes diplomatic relations with Israel. Previously Turkey and Israeli relations went well, but there were problems causing Turkey and Israeli relations to separate. This is the reason why authors are interested in this research. In 2010, there was an incident involving Mavi Marmara ship which caused the loss of life of nine Turkey citizens. Then after the incident Turkey took action to sever diplomatic relations with Israel.This is a qualitative study that uses descriptive expressive methods. This paper uses a realist perspective and national interest theory proposed by Jack C. Plano and Roy Olton and the concept of normalization by Robert P. Barston. The author uses state-level analysis, because the conflict involves two countries. It is a method to explain problems in library research and separate research methods, such as books, journals, magazines, electronic media, and other sources.The results of this study explain that there are some national interests for Turkey such as security, military and defense, and energy on Israel. So Turkey took action to normalize diplomatic ties with Israel based on several conditions put forward by Turkey. At the final negotiations the two countries agreed to improve relations with the agreement on compensation to be paid by Israel to Turkey.Keywords: Mavi Marmara, Normalization, Diplomatic Relations, Agreements

Abstract

The Implementation Supervisor is someone who is given the position on control,oversee, and be held responsible for his or her subordinates. The presentace of asupervisor also optimizes the productivity of an employee in accordance to the standaroperational procedure. The aim of this research is to understand the obstacles ahousekeeping supervisor at pesonna hotel pekanbaru faces is oversaaing the hotel’sRoom Boy and how he she antivipates it. The methot of research to be used is thequalitative method, the informant that will be used is a housekeeping supervisor andfive othe employees, specifically the Room Boys, the data collection will be done by wayof interview, observation and documentation. Abstract

This study aimed at knowing the correlation of the level of the adoption of internet media towards the study success of Sociology Department Students of Universitas Riau.The research design of this study was quantitative study using correlation formula of Pearson Product Moment and using probability approach withsimple random sampling technique. The data collection technique used were questionnaire sheets and direct observation. The dataanalysistechnique used was quantitative analysis, provided with form of table with attached explanations. The result of this research was there was a significant correlation between the level of the adoption of internet media towards the study success of Sociology Department Students of Universitas Riau. Based on the result of this study, it is suggested to the students to be able to utilize the internet as carefully and wisely as possible in order to enhance the study success of Sociology Department Students of Universitas Riau.Keywords :Adoption, Internet, Success, Study.

Abstract

This research describes the Spreading Thought of Poop Culture by World Toilet Organization (WTO) in Switzerland. The international world faces many problems, with one of them being environmental issues. These environmental issues arise from social movements of people who recognize the importance of the environment, especially regarding the issue of the toilet. Japan is the first country to discuss the issue of toilet problems as well as making poop culture become part of its pop culture. Japan has also created its own national organization named Japan Toilet Association (JTA) where it aims to spread the awareness of poop culture within the country as well as branch out abroad to other countries worldwide. This research consists of how WTO assists Japan in the deployment of poop culture as well as illustrates how poop culture has developed in the participating countries of WTO, with main focuses applied to Switzerland where influences from WTO were evident in governmental decision-making with regards to the toilet and sanitary affairs of the country.Keywords: Toilet, Poop culture, World Toilet Organization, Swiss Toilet Association, Japan Toilet Association

Abstract

The distribution of palm oil seedlings by the Agriculture Service is assistance from the Kuantan Singingi Regent. In the implementation there were problems such as the Decree of the Agriculture Office and the Kuantan Singingi Regent which contained unclear and detailed information, the placement of staff not in the field, the transparency of information on the existence of seed assistance programs by the Agriculture Service, and the coordination and communication of the Agriculture Service with farmer groups that had not run optimally . This study aims to find out and analyze the forms of implementation performance and the factors that hinder the distribution program of palm oil seedlings by the Kuantan Singingi District Agriculture Service. This study uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. This method uses the theory of organizational performance from Dwiyanto with performance indicators namely productivity, service quality, responsiveness, responsibility and accountability. From the results of this study it was found that the implementation of the distribution of palm oil seedlings was not optimal because there were several factors that inhibited the limited available and insufficient budget to reach the budget for purchasing superior oil palm seeds that had to be channeled, inadequate availability of human resources and the ability to understand and place the position of employees in accordance with their fields in their respective duties and functions as well as outside constraints when the Kuantan Singingi District Agricultural Service conducts the distribution of palm oil seedlings. Abstract

Pekanbaru city has increased population, that is resulting in declining public facilities, so peoples want to livable city. To realize the peoples desire, Government of pekanbaru city are launched smart city program. In one year of launched the smart city program, there are still many peoples who dont know about smart City program in Pekanbaru, so Diskominfo need to socialize the smart city program. In socializing smart city program, diskominfo conduct a communication planning. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze communication program of the Communications, Information Technology, Statistics and Coding of Pekanbaru City In socializing smart city program.This research uses qualitative descriptive methods, with the subject of research are Head of E-Government Organizer and Staff of Communication, Informatics, Statistic and Coding of Pekanbaru City which is involved in socialization plan of smart city program. Data collected through interviews, observation, and documentations. To test the validity of the data the author uses an extension of participation and triangulation.The results of this research is the meaning of communication planning Diskominfo Pekanbaru city in analyzing the target communications categorized into general goals and special targets, in terms of message design Diskominfo Pekanbaru City convey messages in the form of information and persuasive, in terms of media selection Diskominfo Pekanbaru city using print media and Electronic media, in terms of determination of destination Diskominfo Pekanbaru City run the vision and mission that has been made so that later all layers in the Pekanbaru understand smart city program, and in terms of evaluation smart city program Diskominfo Pekanbaru city has not been maximized.Key Word : Communication Planning, Socialization, Smart City

Abstract

The research was to known the motivation of tourist visiting the Tour of City of Bukittinggi of Province West Sumatera. The study aims to: (1) to know the motivations of tourists to Tour of City of Bukittinggi of Province West Sumatera. (2) to find out the most dominant motivation in tourists visiting the Tour of City of Bukittinggi of Province West Sumatera. This research uses descriptive quantitative method to describe the problems in a visit travellers. The sample used in this study is 100 people.Based on the results of the research that has been done, retrieved the motivation of tourists visit to the Tour of City of Bukittinggi of Province West Sumatera is influenced by a variety of motivation, such as physical motivation, fantasy motivation, and cultural motivation.While the most dominant motivation in the tourists visit to the Tour of City of Bukittinggi of Province West Sumatera is physical relaxation in the form of motivation, comfort, to culinary and shopping, and relax.Keywords: Motivation, Motivation of Travellers, Tour of City

Abstract

This research was conducted in Banjar Nan Tigo Nan Ompek Village, Kuantan Hilir Sub-District, Kuantan Singingi District. This research was conducted to obtain information about the existence of the Padang Prayer tradition in banjar nan tigo nan ompek village with the aim was to find out the process of implementing the Padang Prayer tradition, how to maintain the tradition of Padang Prayer and the meaning of the Padang Prayer tradition in banjar nan tigo nan ompek village. The theory used is George Herbert Mead theory, namely the theory of simbolic interactionism. This research is a survey reasearch using descriptive qualitative methods, data collection by observation and in-depth interviews. The number of informants in this study was 8 people consisting of 1 ninik mamak, 1 alim ulama, 1 village head, 1 village secretary, 1 chief executive, and 3 community members. The results of the study showed that the process of implementing the Padang Prayer tradition was (1) conducting deliberation before the implementation of the Padang Prayer Tradition, (2) do mutual cooperation, and (3) Padang Prayer event on Thursday. Maintaining the tradition of Padang Prayer needs to be done by growing enthusiasm of community participant and the role/cooperation of the government. The meaning of Padang Prayer tradition which is the belief of the banjar nan tigo nan ompek village is as a safety of the community’s agriculture and as a form of togetherness and cohesiveness of the community.  Keywords: Existence, Tradition, Padang Prayer

Abstract

This research aims to explain the general conditions of Indonesian defense equipment until 2014, to find out the reasons Indonesia chose Russia in purchase cooperation for fighter flight in 2015, and systematically analyze Indonesia and Russia in purchase cooperation of  Su-35 fighter flight in 2015-2018.The research using Neorealism perspective, which nation-state as the level of analysis. Theory of national security and the concept of national interest are using to examine the problem. Using qualitative methods through library research to achieve goals, derived from data obtained from journals, official documents, mini-thesis, books, and the internet to analyze Indonesia's decision to purchase Sukhoi 35 fighter flight with Russia year of  2015 until 2018.This research proves that Indonesia chose Russia for Su-35 fighter flight purchase cooperation in 2015 is due to efficiency and pragmatic reasons, which is Russia seen as a strategic partner in fulfilling air defence equipment for the Indonesian Air Forces in the long term. Abstract

The aim of this study to determine the influences of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and provitability toward companies value of basic industry sector and chemistery which is listed on Indonesia Stock Excange. Ratio corporate social responsibility (CSR) as independent variabel uses index corporate social responsibility disclosure companies. Provitability ratio which is used as independent variabel are return on equity (ROE) and return on investment (ROI). While the value companies as dependent variabel measured by ratio price book value (PBV) and ratio tobin’s Q.In this study, the data where financial report and annual report. The sampling taken by purposive sampling, the sample are 12 from 64 basic industry companies and chemistery which is listed on Indonesia Stock Excange. Analysis techniques in this study are simple linear, double linear, determinate coefficient, test t (partial), and test F (simultan). Data analysis was used analysis linear agression with the help of software SPSS 21.The result of this study show that corporate social responsibility (CSR) on partial (test t) have significant effect toward companies value. While provitability also have significant effect toward companies value. The result on simultan (test F) shows there is significant effect between corporate social responsibility (CSR) and provitability as together toward companies value basic industry sector and chemistery which is listed on Indonesia Stock Excange.Keyword: Corporate Social Responsibility, Provitability, The Companies Value
