Abstract

Coordination is the most important part in a smooth work. The coordination factors consist of unity of action, communication, discipline and division of labor. This study aims to determine how work coordination is, the factors that affect work coordination and the efforts of the hotel to improve work coordination on Food and Beverage Products at Fox Hotel Pekanbaru.In this study, the author used qualitative methods as a procedure for processing data. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation of FBM (Food and Beverage Manager), Executive Chef, Chef De Partie, Demi Chef, Cook and Cook Helper Fox Hotel Pekanbaru.After conducting interviews with resource persons, the authorr concluded that the work coordination factors at Fox Hotel Pekanbaru's Food and Beverage Product were running well even though there were several obstacles such as communication errors but could be followed up properly by the hotel by doing weekly briefing, technical meetings and job evaluation.                                                                                                                   Keywords: Coordination, Operational, Communication, Food and beverage Product.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the response of tourists to Hapanasan Hot Water, Rokan Hulu Regency and to know the tourist attraction of Hapanasan Hot Water in Rokan Hulu Regency.  This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach to describe and explain the situation that occurs by collecting data and information in the field.  In this study, the data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires and documentation.  Based on the results of the questionnaire, it shows that the response of visitors to the Hapanasan Hot Spring Tourism Destination in Rokan Hulu Regency is good, where the concepts used are Destination Attractions, Destination Facilities, Accessibility, Image, and Price.  The tourism response at Hapanasan Hot Spring in Rokan Hulu Regency in the sub-variable of destination attractions, destination facilities, accessibility is considered good by visitors who have visited Hapanasan Hot Springs, while for the Image sub-variable it is considered quite good by visitors who have visited Hot Water  Hapanasan and the last is the price sub-variable which is considered poor by visitors who have visited Hapanasan Hot Spring.Key words : Responses, Visitors and Appeal

Abstract

The Akit community in Sungai Tohor Barat Village, the majority did not go to school because the background of the primitive Akit tribe towards education was coupled with the socio-economic conditions of the Akit community who did not place much importance on their children's education. The formulation of the problem in this study looks at the meaning of education for the Akit Nerlang in Sungai Tohor Barat Village and knows how the cultural reproduction of the Akit Nerlang Tribe in Sungai Tohor Barat Village. Researchers used descriptive qualitative analysis by assigning 9 research subjects to 5 informants and 4 key informants who were taken intentionally (purposive sumpling) with criteria set by researchers. This study uses the theory of Habitus according to Pierre Bourdieu which is the result of learning through nurturing, playing activities, education. To understand the arena of cultural production, where the positions occupied by agents, namely schools, students, and parents are also occupied by the forces that make a cultural population, as well as an analysis of positions within the broader arena of power. The Akit people today interpret education as limited to literacy. The process of cultural reproduction occurs because parents assume that children are no longer interested in school and are forced to end up in vain, so that many are still out of school and choose to work. The results of this study indicate that the Akit tribal habitus interpret an education as not important, this also occurs due to the migration of people from one area to another can lead to cultural reproduction because they are difficult to accept new things where they still maintain local culture even though they are in different environment. In addition, the socio-economic conditions of the Akit people are still relatively low, in terms of social aspects, namely not accepting new things in education. Keywords : Cultural Reproduction, Akit Tribe, Sungai Tohor Barat Village

Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze the performance of keuangan PT. PLN (Persero) Sumbagut Generation Pekanbaru Generation Sector period 2014-2018. Analysis method used based on KEPMEN BUMN Number: KEP-100 / MBU / 2002. Based on the results of analysis of financial performance data at PT. PLN (Persero) Generation SUMBAGUT Pekanbaru Generation Sector obtained the conclusion that the company’s financial performance is in poor conditon. (1) Analysis of Liquidity ratio with Cash ratio and Current Ratio shows that the company's financial performance is in poor condition. (2) Analysis of Solvency ratio with the ratio of total capital alone to total assets shows the company's financial performance is in good condition. (3) Profitability ratio analysis with ROE ratio and ROI of financial performance in fairly good condition (4) Activity ratio analysis with Collection Periodsindicator, Inventory Turnover and TATO, the Company is in excellent condition. Keywords : Analysis, Liquidity, Solvency, Profitability, Activity

Abstract

In accordance with the mandate of the law, all demonstration activities will always coexist with the police. Dealing with the police as providing services that provide facilities for demonstrations for students is indeed a common thing. The problem is that so far the security protests provided have often failed to meet the expectations of students. Many parties view that the methods of officials in the field often cause controversy. Perception is a form of public response as service recipients that can illustrate the success of the efforts that have been made, so that it can be a measure of the extent to which the given authority has been implemented.This study aims to describe the implementation of the police's duties in exercising their authority to secure demonstrations through Student Perceptions of Protecting Protests (demonstrations) by the Police, which ends in clashes between apparatus and students in Pekanbaru in 2019. This research uses qualitative descriptive methods and collection techniques. data based on observation, literature study and interviews.Students' perceptions of the security of demonstrations by the Police in Pekanbaru were greater towards negative perceptions, this could be proven that when the clashes occurred, the police could not control the situation because the large number of protesters still caused victims and damaged several public facilities to damage officer vehicle. From the research results, the factors that most play a role in shaping students' perceptions of protest security by demonstration security officers are the student's own experience factors and the experiences they hear and see from those around them.Keywords: Student Perception, Protest Security

Abstract

Abang Island is one of the villages in Galang District. Abang Island is an area that has been designated as a conservation area. This study aims to determine the description of the attraction of marine tourism on Abang Island and the efforts of the local government regarding the attractiveness of marine tourism on Abang Island. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The subjects of this study were tourists, Department of Tourism and Culture Batam City, Village Head of Abang Island, Abang Island tourism business actors, Abang Island Tourism Awareness Group, and the local community. This research was conducted by collecting data in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that Abang Island has a marine tourism attraction in the form of the amazing and charming underwater beauty and uniqueness of Abang Island. On the underwater surface of Abang Island, there are rare coral reefs that are still awake and various types of marine life coupled with views of white sand beaches and good and clear sea water quality. In addition, the government's efforts in developing Abang Island marine tourism are maintaining cleanliness, supporting small home-based businesses, building homestays, increasing human resources on Abang Island, and forming Abang Island Tourism Awareness Groups. Keywords: Attraction, Marine Tourism, Abang Island

Abstract

In order to improve the quality of licensing services in Pekanbaru City the Pekanbaru City Government through the Investment and Integrated One Stop Service Office, Presents the Electronic Mobile Licensing Service Management Information System (SIMOLEK), an Android-based information system for licensing and non-licensing services in Pekanbaru City. To continue to improve and encourage the community to take care of licensing and non-licensing services and increase economic investment in Pekanbaru City, DPMPTSP Pekanbaru City continues to have a strategic plan, through simplifying the service system and application of information systems in licensing services by trying to provide the best service to the community in terms of licensing. The phenomenon of this problem is that the implementation of the Electronic Mobile System Program (SIMOLEK) has not been maximized by the Pekanbaru City Investment and Integrated Services Office (DPMPTSP) and the lack of understanding and socialization of the community for the Electronic Mobile System (SIMOLEK) program. The purpose of this study was to determine the Implementation of the Electronic Mobile System Program (SIMOLEK) at the Investment Office and the One Stop Integrated Service in Pekanbaru City with a descriptive method, the data collected through observation and interviews. This research was conducted using the theory of Charles O Jones in Siti Erna consisting of Organizing, Interpretation and Application. The results of the study indicate that in the implementation of the SIMOLEK program in the Office of Investment and Integrated Services of One Door Pekanbaru City, it can be concluded that it is less optimal in terms of organizational indicators in the implementor of the lack of field experts and outreach to the community. Globalization of the Digital Era and Community Satisfaction are challenges in implementing the electronic mobile system (SIMOLEK) program at the Pekanbaru City Investment and Integrated Services Office.  Keywords : Implementation, Program, Electronic Mobile System.

Abstract

Riau University has had a student affairs website since 2014, created specifically to meet the information needs of Riau University students. Since its inception, the student affairs website has been the most active website at the University of Riau. As time went on, the website's activity decreased until finally it was declared inactive at the beginning of 2019. Therefore, researchers conducted a study aimed at knowing the process of managing the website and knowing the inhibiting factors in managing the website in the field of student affairs at the University of Riau as a student information media. This research used qualitative research methods. The subjects of this research consisted of five informants who were selected using purposive techniques. Data collection is done through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques in this research include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification. The data validity checking technique uses triangulation techniques. The results showed that the management of the Riau University student affairs website as a student information media was carried out with the POAC management function (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling). In the management process, several obstacles were found that originated from Human Resources (HR), technology, procedures, and documents. However, the most influential as an obstacle in the management of student affairs websites comes from his HR.

Abstract

Since 2011, the situation in Syria has become unstable due to a conflict between the government and the rebels. The conflict has attracted attention from various parties, one of which is Iran. Iran as an ally of Syria is concerned that the conflict could interfere with its interests in Syria. Therefore, Iran gave its support to the Assad regime in Syria even though Iran's own economic situation was in trouble due to the sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union. The fundamental objective of this research is to analyze the form of Iranian intervention in the Syrian conflict, to explain the dynamics of the Syrian conflict, and to provide an overview of the diplomatic relations between Iran and Syria.This study uses a realism perspective with a level analysis of the nation state and is supported by the theory of balance of power. Balance of power can be interpreted as a mechanism that ideally makes countries intentionally or unintentionally join forces with the weaker and fight the strong.It was concluded that Iran's intervention in the Syrian conflict is divided into three, namely military aid, economic assistance and political assistance. Military assistance is then divided into four, namely advisory missions, intelligence support, weapon assistance, and troops assistance. These supports have been sent by Iran since the start of the conflict in 2011 and are expected to continue. Keywords: Bashar al-Assad, Iran, interests, intervention, Syrian conflict

Abstract

Identification and imitation are two different things but almost look the same. Identification is a form of imitation that is more profound than imitation, it can be said that identification imitates so that it affects something that is not visible, such as lifestyle, communication, and personality. Unlike the imitation which tends to only imitate the outward appearance or appear physically only. The formulation of the problem discussed in this study is whether the identification behavior of members of the Korean pop culture community is higher than the imitation behavior and what factors are behind the Korean pop culture community imitating Korean popular culture. The theory used is the social process theory which has the main basis of imitation, suggestion, identification, and sympathy. However, only using imitation and identification as a comparison in this study. The second theory is modeling theory, namely attention, remembering, reproduction of motion and motivation according to Albert Bandura which is explained through social learning theory. Data analysis used a descriptive method with a quantitative approach, the data collection technique in this study was saturated sampling or census. Census sampling allows researchers to use the entire population and draw them all into the sample in the study, while the number of respondents in this study amounted to 72 people. From the results of field research, it can be concluded that the identification and imitation behavior carried out by members of the Korean pop culture community tends to be high. If imitation behavior tends to be high, it can be concluded that it can be said as identification in accordance with the explanation of identification which explains that imitation is the beginning of identification behavior.  Keywords : Korea Pop Culture, Identification, Imitation
