Abstract

Tour Leader is the most important role in a Travel Agency. Tour Leader has a responsibility to supervise the tour from the first departure till the end of the trip. This research aims to find out more about the implementation of the responsibilities of a tour leader. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the real situation by collecting information data from the field. The key informants from this research are 1 financial division staff who also serves as one of the tour leaders, and also 2 other tour leaders. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, interviews, documentation and also documentation studies. Based on the results of the research, it can be infered that the tour leader at PT. Aisyah Perdana Tour And Travel has done a good job. Tour leaders have to understand the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that have been established and also carry out the process of carrying out these responsibilities properly. Keywords: Implementation, responsibility, Tour Leader.

Abstract

Richeese Factory Pekanbaru is a fast food restaurant founded by PT. Indonesian Culinary PT. Culinary Indonesia is one of the subsidiaries of the Nabati Group. Richeese Factory is a restaurant that provides self service by customers and also a restaurant that prioritizes excellent service for customer satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of kitchen employees at the Crew Outlet Richeese Factory Pekanbaru. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach to identify the problems that exist in the Richeese Factory Pekanbaru. Respondents in this study amounted to 5 people, while the data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed that the Kitchen Employee Performance at the Crew Outlet Department of Richeese Factory Pekanbaru was not good. In the implementation of Kitchen Employee Performance, there is a lack of employee discipline and employee understanding of the work instructions at Richeese Factory Pekanbaru.  Keywords: Performance, Employees, Kitchen, Restaurant

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyze the response of tourists to Toluk Jangkang Tourism Destination. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive approach to describe and explain the situation that occurs by collecting data and information in the field..  In this study, the data collection techniques used were observation, questionnaires and documentation.  Based on the results of the questionnaire, it shows that the response of visitors to the Toluk Jangkang Tourism Destination in Tualang Sub District of Siak Regency is quite good, where the concepts used are Destination Attractions, Destination Facilities, Accessibility, Image, and Price.  The tourism response to Toluk Jangkang Tourism Destination in Tualang Sub District of Siak Regency in the sub-variable of destination attractions, destination facilities, accessibility and image are considered quite good by visitors who have visited Toluk Jangkang Tourism Destination, while for the price sub-variable it is considered good by visitors who have visited Toluk Jangkang Tourism Destination.Key words : Responses, Visitors and Tourism Destination

Abstract

Tuanku Imam Bonjol Museum is one of the places visited by many tourists because it has good and strong potential and attraction to attract tourists so that this historical tourist attraction is prioritized in its development and as a mainstay of tourist attraction in Pasaman Regency. So the author is interested in conducting a research entitled "Tourism Communications Education and Culture Departement in Promoting the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Museum as a Historical Tourism Destination in Pasaman Regency."This study uses a qualitative descriptive type of research. The research subjects here consist of seven people, where the subject is directly related to promoting the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Museum. This study uses data collection techniques through interviews, observation and documentation. Researchers use data analysis methods Miles & Huberman analysis consists of three streams of activities that occur simultaneously, namely: data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing/verification. To achieve the validity of the data in this study, the authors used extension of participation and triangulation.The results showed that, the first source was the Department of Education and Culture of Pasaman Regency. And second, the message contains persuasive, informative and educational. The three channels (Media) are print media and the use of Facebook as social media. The four receivers are targeting elementary-high school students and are open to the general public of Pasaman and from outside Pasaman. Fifth, we can see the obstacles in promoting the Tuanku Imam Bonjol museum, only the development of the use of social media in promoting and the wider spread of the Covid-19 virus.

Abstract

This study analyzes the role of WFP as an international organization in handling food problems in Lebanon. On August 4, 2020, an explosion hit the Port of Beirut which was equivalent to an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3. Lebanon suffered heavy losses that exacerbated the condition of food security, which has been disrupted due to economic problems and refugees. Based on the WFP report, the poverty rate has tripled from 8% in 2019 to 23% in 2020. WFP conducts various operations in Lebanon to help the vulnerable population. To analyze its role, the author uses the theory of Clive Archer which divides the roles of international organizations into three, namely as instruments, arenas, and actors.As an international organization, WFP carries out its role by implementing various programs that are in accordance with the conditions of Lebanon. As an instrument, WFP collaborates with the Government of Lebanon in poverty-targeted social safety net program for the vulnerable families in Lebanon. As an actor, WFP cooperates with many partners in allocating aid to Lebanon. The multilateral nature of WFP makes it able to collaborate with partners, so that the number of beneficiaries continues to increase from 2019-2021. Keywords: WFP, Beirut Blast, Lebanon, Food Security.

Abstract

The purpose of this research. to determine the implementation of the supervisory function and the factors that hinder the implementation of the supervisory function of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BBPOM) on the circulation of imported food products without a marketing permit in Pekanbaru City in 2020. This research is a study that uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques in the form of interviews and documentation. The qualitative research aims to reveal certain social situations by describing true facts. The results of this study are the implementation of the supervisory function of the Center for Drug and Food Control (BBPOM) on the circulation of imported food products without a distribution permit in Pekanbaru City in 2020 is to carry out pre-market supervision in the form of product evaluation before obtaining an official distribution number and permit from the government, so that finally declared safe and can be produced and distributed to consumers and post-markets which is carried out so that the quality, consistency of quality and product information is maintained by carrying out inspections or periodic raids on shops, supermarkets and stalls that sell these food products. As a result of the raids, action was taken for business actors who sold imported food products without a permit in the form of warnings and confiscation. Also cooperate with related agencies. Factors that hinder the implementation of the BBPOM's supervisory function consist of internal factors in the form of a limited number of human resources and budgets that have an impact on optimizing the implementation of the supervisory function. External factors are the lack of public awareness and knowledge regarding the dangers of consuming imported food without a distribution permit and also the price of imported food which is cheaper than the price of local feed. Keywords: Implementation of Supervision Function, Pekanbaru BBPOM, Imported Food Products, Without Circulation Permit

Abstract

The background of this research is the lack of human resource empowerment in implementing climate change adaptation and mitigation actions, then the author's interest in ProKlim in Tobek Godang Village which is the only village that has succeeded in realizing ProKlim from 83 Kelurahan in Pekanbaru. This study aims to find out how the implementation of the ProKlim policy in  Tobek Godang Village, Binawidya District, Pekanbaru City in 2020. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach. This research was conducted in the Climate Village, Tobek Godang Village and at the Riau Province Environment and Forestry Service. The data used in this study are primary and secondary data.This research uses the theoretical framework of policy implementation according to Van Meter and Horn. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the ProKlim policy in Tobek Godang Village has been running and is well implemented, although there are still constraints on human resources, especially in community groups in the adaptation and mitigation action of ProKlim in Tobek Godang Village. The standard targets and policies for ProKlim in Tobek Godang Village have good commitment and motivation in implementing the ProKlim policy in Tobek Godang Village, the main tasks and functions have been carried out in accordance with the SOPs contained in the Regulation of the Director General of Climate Change Control at the Ministry of Environment and Forestry No. 4 of 2021 concerning guidelines for the implementation of ProKlim and in accordance with the vision and mission of the Governor of Riau in supporting the Green Riau Program. In general, this policy has succeeded in providing significant changes to the environmentally friendly ProKlim activities in Tobek Godang Village, especially RW 02.Keywords: Implementation, Policy, Climate Village Program (ProKlim)

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the countries with the highest rates of child marriage in the world. Seeing the adverse impact of child marriage, PLAN International and its partners run the "Yes I Do" program in Sukabumi Regency as one of the highest contributing districts of child marriage in Indonesia. This study will analyze how the program has implications for child marriage in Sukabumi Regency. This research uses qualitative methods and data collection techniques from documents such as official reports, books, international and national journals, news articles, and social media that answer the steps taken and their implications. Perspective of constructivism and Clive Archer's international organizational theory are used to analyze its implications both positive and negative. The results showed that the "Yes I Do" program by PLAN International had positive implications in reducing child marriage in Sukabumi Regency. The Yes I Do program makes the people of Sukabumi Regency turn into parents and young people who are more supportive of education than marrying underage. Although national statistics of child marriage have not decreased significantly, the Yes I Do program has established sustainable programs to reduce child marriage in Sukabumi Regency. Keywords: Child Marriage, PLAN International, Yes I Do Program

Abstract

Clean water is one of the most important and very sensitive basic needs in human life, as well as being a basic need for the community. The need and use of clean water from year to year is increasing in line with the development of population and housing, this is directly proportional to the population growth of Dumai City which continues to increase, making the need for clean water increasing day by day. This causes the Dumai City community's rights to be unfulfilled for clean water services provided by the government. Therefore, it is very necessary to have a will or Political Will of the Dumai City Government in the provision of clean water. The purpose of this study was to determine the Political Will of the Dumai City Government in Procurement of Clean Water in 2018-2019. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques are interviews and documentation.The results of the study explain that the Political Will of the Dumai City Government in the Procurement of Clean Water in 2018-2019 is not yet optimal. This is because first, the Dumai City Government's initiative in the provision of clean water is considered only limited to planning and formulation. Second, the clean water supply program always experiences delays from the planned timeline and the amount of water distributed does not meet the needs of the people of Dumai City. Third, the Dumai City Government does not involve the community in the clean water supply process. Fourth, the Dumai City Government has not been able to maximize the existing budget properly. Fifth, the sustainability of the Dumai City Government's efforts in the provision of clean water is considered to be lacking. Sixth, the Dumai City Government still has not implemented lessons from areas with better clean water conditions.Keywords: Political Will and Clean Water Supply

Abstract

As an agricultural country, Indonesia has been mostly dependent on agricultural sector for majority population main source of revenue and country development. With a large land area, Indonesia has various kinds of plant commodities, one of them is cashew nut. The export of cashew nut could potentially increase the country's foreign exchange if it is exported as a value-added product. Nevertheless, Indonesia as a mainly raw commodity-exporting country has been exporting raw cashew nut mostly to Vietnam and the number of export continued to increase from 2018-2019. The purpose of this research is to identify the reason why Indonesia keep exporting raw chasew nut to Vietnam.This research uses trade theory with state level analysis. This research uses qualitative method and the data source of this research is secondary source that got mainly from book, news, document, article and websites.The result of this research has shown the lack of attention in government’s national program to increase local agricultural products that have the potential to be exported such as cashew nut. There is no recognition in cashew nut industry that has potency such as producing Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL), demanding local labour, and increaseing selling price. Local and national governments only consider the short term profit by developing local agriculture that has higher economic value by developing corn plants.Keywords: Government, Export, cashew nut, Indonesia, Vietname
