Abstract

The Wonderland Indonesia video is an offering to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the independence of the Indonesian state and is currently being discussed. Video Wonderland Indonesia contains a combination of 10 folk and national songs with contemporary musical arrangements that are displayed with stunning visuals. However, in line with the nationalism raised in this video, audiences who watch the Wonderland Indonesia video will bring up meanings according to their cultural and social background. This study aims to determine the dominant reading position, negotiated reading and oppositional reading of the audience towards nationalism in Wonderland Indonesia video. This research is a type of descriptive qualitative research that focuses on Stuart Hall reception analysis which focuses on encoding and decoding using purposive techniques to determine informants. The data obtained through the process of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation with six informants. The data analysis technique used is reception analysis which consists of data collection, interpretation and reception. While the technique of checking the validity of the data using tringulation. The results of the first study, four informants gave a dominant reception of nationalism in the Wonderland Indonesia video. The second is that two informants have the meaning of accepting but giving exceptions (negotiated). Third, none of the informants accepted the opposition's views. The difference in the way informants perceive nationalism in Wonderland Indonesia videos is caused by several factors, namely age, education, and experience. Keywords: Reception Analysis, Nationalism

Abstract

This study aims to look at the leadership of the Tarai Bangun Village Head in population affairs (update the address on the family card according to the Tarai Bangun Village address) and the factors that influence the number of Tarai Bangun Village people who do not want to update the address on their family card according to the Tarai Bangun Village address. This study uses the theory of government leadership techniques from S. Pamudji, namely information, human relations, being an example, persuasive, using a suitable communication system, and providing facilities. This study uses a descriptive approach with a qualitative type, then the data collection techniques used are interviews, observation and documentation, while the data analysis technique is done by collecting information through interviews. The results of this study indicate that the leadership of the Tarai Bangun Village Head in population affairs is quite good, because it has fulfilled all the techniques proposed by S. Pamudji. In the form of direct appeals, explaining facts, meeting community needs, providing facilities. Be a role model, and use a suitable communication system, although there are still some obstacles in improving the orderly population data in the village of Tarai Bangun such as; The amount of cost and time required, the number of people working in Pekanbaru, the lack of sensitivity of the previous government to the community, and the community's perception of the Tarai Bangun Village that will be expanded resulted in many people being reluctant to change their population data to the address of Tarai Bangun Village so that the efforts made have not been fully achieved. Abstract

Sexual harassment can happen anywhere with victims regardless of age, including children. Who would have thought that many children who were still at an early age had become victims of this crime. If sexual abuse continues without any resistance, the worst thing that can happen is child rape. This kind of crime can be avoided by various efforts that can be done by the closest people to the child, namely the parents. Prevention efforts made by parents must be based on knowledge about sex education. It is important for parents to recognize sex education before implementing prevention. Therefore, this study examines the level of knowledge of parents and the efforts made by parents in preventing sexual abuse of children. This study uses the theory of rational action by Max Weber. This research method uses descriptive quantitative method with the sampling technique using the Slovin formula while the technique for determining the sample uses quota sampling. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the level of knowledge of parents regarding sex education is still not high because the results of the analysis say that the level of knowledge is still in the medium category. Prevention efforts are divided into two stages, namely the introduction stage and the implementation stage. For the introduction stage, the intensity level is already fairly high from all respondents. For the implementation stage, it is also high because according to the results of data analysis regarding the level of intensity of its implementation, it turns out that there are still many parents from Meranti Pandak Village who give close attention and supervision to their children who are still at an early age. So for the overall results of the respondents, the level of knowledge and the level of effort made are not balanced because knowledge is still in the medium category and the implementation is in the high category including high.     Keywords: Sexual Harassment, Prevention, Parents, Early Childho

Abstract

One of the language internationalization efforts carried out by Indonesia is through the Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing/ Indonesian Language for Foreign Speakers (BIPA) Program that is specially intended for foreign societies. One of BIPA’s target is the foreign citizen in South East Asian Region, one of the intended country is Thailand. This research analyze how internationalization of Indonesian Language through BIPA in Thailand. The process in promoting Indonesian Language did through art performance, food and batik bazaar, festival, educational cooperation. BIPA become an effective way to convey the Indonesian Language and also Indonesian culture in Thailand. The perspective that is being used in this research is the Constructivism Perspective and Cultural Diplomacy Theory. The use of these Perspective and Theory are in line with the global development that is being more advanced from time to time in all aspects, and this research is analyzing the Soft Power effort that is being carried out by Indonesian Government through BIPA focused in Thailand. This qualitative research collected the primary and secondary data. The primary data get by online interview with Indonesian Language teacher in Thailand, Afwin Sulistiawati, M.Hum. The secondary data get by journal, book,e-book, article, thesis, youtube, and website. The result of this research shows some problems in learning standard, communication, and infrastructure. The effort to spread the Indonesian Language through BIPA in Thailand is not operated is it was expected to be due to the language barrier between the teachers and the students. However, through the cultural approach (the exposure of Indonesian traditional Arts, Crafts and Foods) has been positively responded by the intended Thai citizen. Abstract

The government's program for mandatory vaccines for children aged 6-11 years has been intensified from December 2021 to February 2022. The television media also continues to report on the implementation of the impact or effects experienced by users of child vaccines that have the potential to make parents of children anxious about the implementation of children's vaccines in schools. In relation to cultivation theory which states that the more time a person spends watching television, the stronger the tendency for people to equate social reality. In this study, respondents who often watched news on children's vaccines tended to feel anxious. The purpose of this study was to determine whether there was an effect of television media exposure about the news of children's vaccines on the anxiety level of the parents of 80 Pekanbaru public elementary school students. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with statistical analysis. Researchers collect data using questionnaires and documentation. The location of this research is at the 80 Pekanbaru State Elementary School with a total sample of 100 respondents using a sampling technique Purposive Sampling. Sample whose population is unknown because the population of respondents who watch news on children's vaccines on television is not known for certain. To determine the relationship between variables, researchers used simple linear regression analysis. While the questionnaire for processing the test data was carried out using the Statistical Product and Service Solutions (SPSS) Windows version 24. The results of this study are based on simple linear regression, the regression coefficient obtained is Y = 11.371 + 0.117 X with a significance level of 0.000 and less than = 0.05. While the results of the determination test obtained 38.6%. It means that there is a small or weak influence from television media exposure about news of children's vaccines on the anxiety level of the guardians of the 80 Pekanbaru State Elementary School students. While the remaining 61.4% is influenced by factors outside this study.

Abstract

This study will see how the role of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in animal problems that is implemented through its programs in the Riau Province towards increasing the population of endemic endangered animals in the regions. To answer the research problem, the author conducted a qualitative research that aims to describe what WWF has done in Riau Province in dealing with animal conservation problems by using data collection techniques through library research data-documents, books, and information from the internet. This study uses the theory of Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) which analyzes the causes and impacts of the presence of NGOs in an area. The results of this study indicate that WWF has performed its role as an International Organization/NGO. This is shown by the implementation of several conservation programs carried out by WWF. However, when viewed from the increase in population, WWF has not succeeded in creating a trend of increasing the population of endemic animals that are threatened with extinction in Riau Province. Abstract

This research is entitled Implementation of Steward Tasks at Batiqa Hotel Pekanbaru. This study aims to find out how the implementation of steward duties at Batiqa Hotel Pekanbaru, besides that what are the obstacles in the implementation of steward duties, and what are the solutions to face obstacles when implementing stewards at Batiqa Hotel Pekanbaru. This research is also a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach used in this study, with data collection techniques used in this study in the form of interviews, document studies, observation. Key informants involved in this research are Chief Steward, Silvermen, and Night Steward. Based on the results of the research, the Implementation of Steward Tasks at Batiqa Hotel Pekanbaru has been going well and according to the Standard Operational Procedure (SOP). But of course there must be obstacles faced by the Steward during the implementation of steward duties at the Batiqa Hotel Pekanbaru such as during inventory, when handling wet waste or handling dry waste, when maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen area or maintaining cleanliness around the kitchen, when handling utensils, when providing tools. -tools, when cleaning tools, when distributing tools, when caring for tools, when storing tools but the obstacles faced by the steward can be overcome with the best solutions from the steward. Abstract

The protection and management of the environment is aimed at preserving the function of the environment by maintaining its carrying capacity and capacity in order to support the implementation of sustainable development. In order to support environmental conservation, Dumai City Regional Regulation No. 5 of 2017 concerning Environmental Protection and Management with the aim of protecting the Dumai City area from pollution and/or environmental damage, especially in the waters of Dumai City. There are several cases of pollution carried out by several companies operating around the port so this needs to be analyzed further regarding the effectiveness of the policies that have been set and the role of the relevant agencies in it. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative research type. The types of data in this research are primary data and secondary data. The data analysis technique used is descriptive qualitative data analysis. The results of this study are the effectiveness of the Dumai City Regional Regulation Number 5 of 2017 concerning Environmental Protection and Management as well as the efforts made by the Regional Government in implementing environmental protection and management in Dumai City. There are 4 (four) indicators used to measure the effectiveness of the policy, which in its implementation can be said to be effective. In this case, the local government has also made several efforts in overcoming cases of environmental pollution that occurred in the port area of Dumai City, including conducting outreach activities, checking standard operating procedures (SOP) for environmental supervision, inspecting company infrastructure, and examining the management of Hazardous and Toxic Waste (LB3). Abstract

The implementation of the Work From Home (WFH) policy, which requires state civil servants to work remotely/from home, is one of the strategies given by the government in anticipating the spread of Covid-19 in all levels of government, including the Riau Province Social Service. The study uses a theoretical study of 4 (four) COBIT Domain functions according to (Indrajit, 2014). The research approach used is a qualitative approach. This type of research is descriptive. The research location is in Pekanbaru City, precisely at the Social Service of Riau Province. The types and sources of research data are divided into primary data with purposive informant retrieval techniques and secondary data in the form of supporting data related to research. The problem in this study is that the adaptation of the Riau Provincial Social Service employees in the use of technology, information and communication during the COVID – 19 pandemic in 2020 is not optimal due to several determinants of the success of employee adaptation. The purpose of this study was to find out how the adaptation of Provincial Social Service employees in the use of information and communication technology during the covid-19 pandemic. The results of the study were that the adaptation of Riau Province Social Service employees in the use of technology, information and communication during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 went well. , although there are still some obstacles. Abstract

Drainage is the natural or artificial removal of water masses from the surface or subsurface of a place. In the author's research, the construction of a drainage system is the responsibility of the Department of Public Housing and Residential Areas of Pekanbaru City. The problem raised in this study is that during the current rainy season, floods often occur, this is because the drainage system has not functioned optimally, and many in the neighborhood around Pekanbaru do not have drainage. This study aims to determine the analysis of the Environmental Scale Road Drainage System Development Program Evaluation in 2020 in Pekanbaru City. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis technique is done with qualitative data analysis. In conducting this research, the researcher used a qualitative research type. The type of research is descriptive, which is a report of people containing data quotes to provide an overview of the presentation of the report, the location of the research is carried out in the city of Pekanbaru, especially in the Department of Public Housing and Residential Areas of Pekanbaru City and also in the location of the program. by the Department. The techniques used to collect data in this researcher are (1) interviews, (2) observations, and (3) documentation. The results of this study indicate that the Environmental Scale Road Drainage System Development Program Evaluation in 2020 has not been carried out optimally. The inhibiting factors in carrying out the road drainage system development program are limited human resources, limited budget, lack of public awareness.
