Abstract

The city of Padang stretches from north to south with a beach and a row of Bukit Barisan, the combination of the two locations provides an attractive and beautiful natural beauty for the city of Padang, thus encouraging the West Sumatra provincial government to provide various facilities and infrastructure such as hotels. Thanks to the large number of hotels, the hotel management competes with each other in providing good service to their customers. In this case, Prince Beach Padang Hotel carefully considers in setting room rental rates so that the price set does not cause harm to the company. The purpose of this study was to determine the setting of room prices at the Pangeran Beach Padang hotel. Based on the method used in this study, namely descriptive qualitative method to analyze the problems that the authors collected through observation, interviews and documentation with the management of the Prince Beach Padang hotel. Based on the data analysis carried out, the selection of strategies and methods must adjust the existing market conditions because this is very influential in determining the price of the Prince Beach Padang hotel. Keywords: Price, Strategy, Method, Hotel

Abstract

The level of financial health is the most important thing in the sustainability of a business entity, this is the background of this research. Good financial performance is the main factor in determining the level of health. This step was taken by the Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Rantau Panjang Cemerlang. This study aims to determine and analyze financial performance in measuring the level of health in Village Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) Rantau Panjang Cemerlang for the period 2017-2021. The method in this research is descriptive quantitative. The data analysis technique used is financial ratios. The ratios used in this study include liquidity ratios ( current ratio, quick ratio and cash ratio), solvency ratios ( debt to asset ratio and debt to equity ratio), activity ratios ( inventory turnover, working capital turnover and total asset turnover),and profitability ratios (gross profit margin, net profit margin, return on investment and return on equity). The results of this study indicate that the level of BUMDes liquidity is very large (overliquid). The level of solvency is very large, so the risk of BUMDes is also very large. The level of activity of BUMDes is not good and the level of profitability of BUMDes is also in poor condition. Keywords: BUMDes; Financial Performance; Financial Ratios and Health Level.

Abstract

The existence of this research is intended to be able to find out how the performance of room attendant employees on the satisfaction of guests staying at Mutiara Merdeka Hotel Pekanbaru. In this research, the writer uses quantitative descriptive method. Questionnaires were distributed by 100 respondents, while the technique of data collection for this study used observations, questionnaires and documentation. The results of this study indicate that respondents assess the performance of room attendant employees at Mutiara Merdeka Hotel Pekanbaru to get satisfied results. It can be seen from the average results of each service indicator variable to guests (52.05%), cleanliness indicator (52.6%), facilities indicator (53.4%), expectation conformity indicator (52.6%), indicator of interest in revisiting (52.06%) and indicator of willingness to recommend (51.2%). It can be concluded that the performance of room attendants to guests is quite good. Thus the performance of the room attendant employees provided by Mutiara Merdeka Hotel Pekanbaru so that it can be further improved. Keywords: employee performance, room attendant, hotel

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of receivables turnover that occurs on profitability at the Karya Sembada Village Unit Cooperative for the 2016-2020 period based on the annual financial report consisting of the balance sheet and the remaining operating results of the Cooperative. This type of research is quantitative descriptive, with the type of data used by the researcher is quantitative data which is statistics in the form of numbers. Sources of data used are primary data sources in the form of interviews and secondary data sources in the form of annual financial reports of cooperatives. Based on the results of the analysis of receivable management as an effort to increase profitability at KUD Karya Sembada, Batang Batindih Village, Rumbio Jaya District, Kampar Regency, it was concluded that: 1) The Receivable Turn Over of Karya Sembada KUD from 2016-2020 was in the Bad category. 2) The level of profitability in 2016-2020 in terms of ROA is in the Bad category, ROE is in the Fairly Good category, and NPM is in the Very Good category. 3) The level of receivable management as an effort to increase profitability in cooperatives is in the Bad category in managing receivables turnover to maximize its income. Abstract

Advertising is a factor that supports the success of selling a cigarette brand. Advertising can be a representation of social reality. For example, The "Bukan Main" version of A Mild's cigarette advertisement which tells about the lifestyle of the urban community with satire lyrics sung by Iga Massardi, vocalist of the band Bara Suara. This version used a theme to satirize consumers' bad habits. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to find out how the representation of urban lifestyles in the "Bukan Main" version of the A Mild cigarette advertisement is.         This study uses qualitative research methods with semiotic analysis of Roland Barthes. The subjects of this research are scenes that describe how the lifestyle of the urbanites in the “Bukan Main” version of the A Mild cigarette advertisement and the objects in this study are audio and visuals related to the urban lifestyle in the “Bukan Main” version of the A Mild cigarette advertisement.         Based on the results of research data analysis using Roland Barthes' semiotic theory and urban lifestyles, the representation of urban lifestyles in the "Bukan Main" version of A Mild cigarette advertisements can be concluded as follows: (1) The denotative meaning expressed in the “Bukan Main" version of A Mild's cigarette advertisement is a social criticism of unfavorable behaviors carried out by people living in urban areas through singing with sarcasm lyrics, such as jumping in line, hanging out and taking photos of food to be uploaded on the internet, postings on social media do not correspond to reality, and rely on smartphone; (2) The connotative meaning of the "Bukan Main" version of A Mild's cigarette advertising message is about the lifestyle of the urban community that has been criticized. An urban setting that has progress and modernization of infrastructure is connoted as the mindset of an urban community that is also advanced. Hanging out and taking photos of food connotes social status, actions in cyberspace are not in accordance with reality connotes self-image, jumping in line is connoted as high life competition, and in scene 5 it connotes that urban communities are dependent on technology; (3) The myth of the message displayed by A Mild's version of “Not Main” is a myth about the opinion of urban communities that urban people have a more advanced way of thinking than rural communities, are familiar with technology, exist and are individualistic.Keywords:  Representation, Semiotic, Advertisement, Cigarette, Urban People

Abstract

This research is about the role of Indonesia in realizing Sustainable Development Goals indicator 14, especially in managing marine plastic debris in Indonesian seas. Indonesia is one of the members of the countries in the international organization, United Nations, that have agreed to jointly realize the global ideals of sustainable living. On the other hand, Indonesia is considered as one of the largest contributors of plastic waste to the sea in the world after the publication of scientific papers on research on plastic waste in the sea. This research was developed based on the framework of constructivism perspective that is supported by the theory of national role, as well as the level of analysis using the country, Indonesia, as the main actor. The method of data collection is done by collecting secondary data and then analyzed qualitatively. This research use qualitative descriptive research method. Sources of data was collected by using secondary data such as books, journals, newspapers, magazines, and websites. The results showed that in order to overcome the problem of marine plastic debris in Indonesian seas, Indonesia played role as example and as free and active country. The steps taken in an effort to reduce marine plastic debris are making policies related to sustainable development, educating and socializing 3R (Reduce, Re-use, Recycle) and several programs contained in the National Action Plan (RAN) 2017 – 2025 about handling marine plastic waste, promote and plant mangroves, and attending international meetings discussing marine plastic debris.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Optimum Wedding Organizer Pekanbaru which is located at Jalan Cendrawasih No.4 Kp. Malay, Sukajadi, Pekanbaru City, Riau. This study aims to determine the effect of service quality and advertising on consumer satisfaction partially and simultaneously. This research uses quantitative descriptive analysis method with SPSS program. The population in this study were all consumers who made purchases or used Optimum Wedding Organizer Pekanbaru products. As well as samples from this study as many as 100 respondents from consumers Optimum Wedding Organizer Pekanbaru. Determination of the sample in this study using the Slovin formula, namely by non-probability sampling technique with accidental sampling technique. Data analysis used validity test, reliability test, simple linear analysis, multiple linear analysis, determination analysis and significance test with t test (partial test) F test (simultaneous test). The results of this study indicate the results of the t-test hypothesis of service quality on customer satisfaction, which is seen by t count of 1.865 > t table of 1.660 and significance means that service quality is significant to customer satisfaction. Second, advertising on consumer satisfaction is t count 1.819 > t table 1.660, meaning that advertising is significant to consumer satisfaction. F test results of the implementation of promotions and brand image on purchasing decisions, namely F count = 285.916 > F table = 3.09 Keywords: Service Quality, Advertising, Consumer Satisfaction.

Abstract

The kitchen equipment maintenance mechanism consist of several items: 1) Electric Frayer, 2)Broiler, 3) Salamander, 4) Soup Kettle, 5) Steam Cooker, 6) Steam Table, 7) Gas Table, 8) Barbeque Table, 9) Noodle Range. This study aims: to determine the mechanism for maintaining kitchen equipment in the kitchen section at Fox Hotel Pekanbaru. This study used a qualitative descriptive method with research subjects consisting of stewards and executive chefs. Data collection was carried out by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis in this study was data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. And the results of study indicate that the mechanism for maintaining kitchen equipment in the kitchen section of Fox Hotel Pekanbaru uses several chemicals from iclean products, including: Forcemaxx which is used to clean oily, slippery and fatty dirt on the kichen floor,Q-San for the sanitation process on the surface. or equipment, Rinsemaxx a concentrated material that functions to speed up the drying process in the dishwasher and glass washer, generalcleaner plus a versatile cleaning product for all surfaces such as from food scraps, metal poliz: a cleaner to remove stubborn stains on metal surfaces such a stainless steel, iron and others. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of providing motivation and occupational safety and health on employee morale at PT.ISS Indonesia Area Ivo Mas Tunggal Dumai. The independent variables are motivation (X1) and occupational safety and health (X2). While the dependent variable is work spirit (Y). In this research, the method used is descriptive quantitative analysis with SPSS 24.0 program. The population in this study were permanent employees totaling 60 people, with the sample technique used, namely census/total sampling. Data collection techniques through questionnaires and interviews, types and sources of data using primary data and secondary data, measurement collection techniques using a Likert scale. From data analysis which includes validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear analysis, determination analysis and significance test with t test (partial) test, and f test (simultaneous). The results of this study indicate that the results of testing the first t test hypothesis, giving motivation to work morale, namely t count (3.205) > t table (2.00172), meaning that motivation has a positive effect on work morale. Both occupational safety and health on work morale are t count (3.049) > t table (2.00172), meaning that occupational safety and health has a positive effect on work morale. The results of the f test of providing motivation and occupational safety and health have a significant effect on work morale, namely f count (11,156) > (3.16) meaning that the provision of motivation and occupational safety and health simultaneously has a significant effect on work morale. Abstract

Game is a game that can be played by all ages. Now with the passage of time, games have had many developments, ranging from traditional to entering the world of the internet that can be accessed offline and online. Many people use games as a form of entertainment in their spare time, even making it a hobby. But some people take advantage of gaming as a positive thing that can benefit players, such as making money just playing games. Then people make gaming their job, because it can make money like any other job. In this study, ZEPETO is one of the many 3D avatar games that can let players have the freedom to decorate their avatars and more. The purpose of this research is to find out who the Indonesian creators are and what is the motivation of the Indonesian ZEPETO creators in creating 3D items through smartphone games. The method used in this research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The subjects selected in this study were five informants using the snowball sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that there are three points that can be concluded, ZEPETO game players can be free to be creative through content, videos, item creation and maps. Then players can communicate with other players from all over the world, and decorate 3D avatars by creating items that can generate profits for users.
