Abstract

This research is entitled Quality of Waiters Service During the Covid-19 Pandemic at the Novotel Hotel Restaurant Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the Quality of Waiters Service During the Covid-19 Pandemic at the Novotel Hotel Restaurant Pekanbaru, In addition, this study also aims to determine the form of restaurant service at the Novotel Hotel. This research is a quantitative research using a descriptive approach that describes and explains the situation that occurs by collecting data and information in the field. The samples used in this study were 100 people. This research was conducted at the Novotel Hotel Pekanbaru restaurant. The research was carried out for 4 months, starting from January - April 2021. The key informants in this study were 1 Food and Beverage Manager Novotel Pekanbaru. Data collection techniques using observation techniques, questionnaires, interviews and documentation. Based on the results of the study, it can be said that the Quality of Waiters Service During the Covid-19 Pandemic at the Novotel Pekanbaru Restaurant was good in all respects which refers to the grand theory of service quality which includes Tangibles (Physical Evidence), Realibility (Reliability), Responsieveness (responsiveness), Assurance (Assurance) and Empathy. This is evidenced by the results of scores from visitors who have visited the Novotel Pekanbaru restaurant in 2021 with good scores. Keywords: Service Quality, Waiters, Restaurant, Guests

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence it has on the provision of work incentives and facilities on the morale of nurses at the Tampan Riau Mental Hospital. This research method is descriptive quantitative with data collection through questionnaires and interviews. The focus of sampling in this study was 60 nurses at RSJT Riau with the Probability Sampling method. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS 25. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it shows that there is a partially significant effect between the provision of incentives on work morale with a tcount value of 4,316 > ttable 2,001 and facilities on the morale of RSJT nurses. Riau with a tcount of 5,137 > from ttable of 2,001. Furthermore, it is also proven that there is a simultaneous influence between the provision of incentives and work facilities to nurses at RSJT Riau with an Fcount of 16,092> from Ftable of 3.16. Among the 2 independent variables that have the strongest influence on work morale is the work facilities variable with an R Square value of 0.313. Overall, the results of the simple regression test and multiple regression were well received. Furthermore, it is recommended for the RSJ for further facilities to pay attention to providing incentives and work so that the work of nurses will increase every year, and for further research to be able to add other variables and connecting theories between variables that will be a support for researchers in order to improve knowledge. Abstract

The scriptwriter entitled “Implementation of Service Of Sequence (SOS) Waiters at Lavender Restaurant Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru” examines the implementation of Service Of Sequence and wants to know about how the obstacles and efforts of the parties management to improve the performance of waiters so that waiters work in accordance with the Service Of Sequence (SOS) at Lavender Restaurant Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is a qualitative method. Where in this study found management efforts to improve the performance of waiters at Lavender Restaurant. The level of succes achieved by the Food and Beverage Service team so far is in the satisfactory category. This is due to the function of the waiters who always follow the Standart Operational Procedure (SOP) or Service Of Sequence (SOS) and creat a good relationship between the functions of the Food and Beverage team and the Food and Beverage team as the front liner. Good and optimal performance of waiters in all respects in terms of health, soft skills and knowledge can increase sales through upselling. Lavender Restaurant Angkasa Garden Hotel Pekanbaru waiters must be able to sell products and communicate wit the guests as well as carry out Standart Operational Procedure or Service Of Sequence. In addition, it requires an active, creative and innovative spirit from waiters. This is necessary to create programs that can be followed to increase restaurant sales. Abstract

Recruitment is the process of selecting and attracting prospective employees who are able to work in a management. So recruitment is an effort to find and attract prospective workers to submit their applications to job vacancies in a company. The purpose of this research is to find out the implementation, constraints and obstacles that occur in the process of recruiting workers at the sales marketing department at Novotel Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach to describe the real situation by collecting information data directly from the field. The key informants of this research are the senior sales manager of Novotel Pekanbaru, marketing communication of Novotel Pekanbaru and the TNC department of Novotel Pekanbaru. This study uses data collection techniques from literature study, observation, documentation and interviews. The results of this study can be seen from the recruitment process starting from planning, until the work contract is going well in accordance with the SOP implemented by management and Novotel Pekanbaru, so that employees who are accepted meet the required qualifications. Abstract

Termination of Employment Relations is the termination of employment relations due to a certain matter which results in the end of the rights and obligations between the worker or laborer and the entrepreneur. As for the purpose of writing this thesis, namely: to find out the roles and obstacles of the leadership of the Manpower Office in overcoming Termination of Employment (PHK) Due to the Pandemic in Pekanbaru City. This research is a qualitative research. This research was conducted at the Pekanbaru City Manpower Office. The techniques used to collect data in this study are (1) Interview, (2) and Observation. The conclusion of this study shows that the role of the Manpower Office in overcoming Termination of Employment (PHK) Due to the Pandemic in Pekanbaru City is measured using interpersonal roles, roles related to information, and the role of decision makers, has not gone well, namely there is still a lack of decision making Disnaker in dealing with Termination of Employment (PHK) Due to the Pandemic. Abstract

This research was conducted in Dusun 1 Bukit Taras, Delik Village, Pelalawan District, Pelalawan District, Riau Province. As the purpose of this study is to find out: 1) Front stage impression processing in the use of the tiktok application. 2) Backstage life and use of the tiktok app from a tiktok celeb. Therefore, to achieve this goal, a descriptive qualitative method was used by taking two people as key informants and two people as supporting informants. This study used a purposive sampling technique through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of a study regarding dramaturgical analysis of adolescent users of the tik-tok application. Judging from the impression processing on the front stage that happened to the first key informant and the second key informant both showed the impression presented on the front stage by building trust about the character shown in the eyes of their followers by displaying glamor, humility and sociability. Judging from the life of the back stage and the use of the tiktok application that occurred in the first key informant and the second key informant, there is a difference between what he displays on the front stage and the back stage in the reality of his life. As the two key informants use the social media tiktok according to their interests. As with the first informant who had the desire that he would use his social media tiktok for a platform for existence that would be recognized by other tiktok users and gain popularity. Whereas in the second informant there was a desire for him to take advantage of social media tiktok as a place for existence as well as getting rupiah coffers. Abstract

This research analyses Australia's security response to Chinese security threats in the South Pacific. China's presence in the South Pacific with economic assistance, military assistance, and security cooperation have raised concerns for Australia. This concern has made Australia, a regional power in the South Pacific, view China as a threat. Australia's concern is evidenced in Australia's 2020 Defence Strategic Update, which states that Australia is worried about the potential danger, especially in the military threat that China will pose due to expanding its influence in the Indo-Pacific. Australia is making efforts to respond to threats by balancing. This study uses a qualitative method with library research techniques, namely data collection through literature studies sourced from several books, journals, articles, state documents, and websites. This study uses the perspective of Neorealism and the theory of Balance of Threat. This theory explains that the state responds to threats by balancing. The results of this paper are in accordance with the Balance of Threat theory which indicates that Australia responded to China's threat in the South Pacific by carrying out a Pacific Step-up, a military alliance with the United States and Britain and conducting a quadrilateral security dialogue with the United States, Britain and India. Abstract

Currently, the business in the hospitality sector is growing rapidly. This is due to the development of the city and the mobility of the population. In addition, it is also due to the tourism factor which brings in many visitors or tourists who come to visit a tourist attraction in an area. One of the hoteliers at Pekanbaru Prime Park Hotel Pekanbaru which is a 4-star hotel located in the business center and the Pekanbaru Tour & Travel Government which is still running well amid the covid-19 pandemic. Prime Park Hotel Pekanbaru is an ideal place for guests on business trips and tourists to rest with family, friends and so on. In SeptemberNovember 2021, it has increased from month to month. However, due to the small number of employees, the work is not conducive, because from here the management uses a lot of casual children, so for work there are many miss communication between the staff and casual parties. With the implementation of discipline from each employee, and increasing professionalism for each employee, This will make every task and responsibility of the job easier to carry out. Therefore, this study aims to determine how the role of the Banquet Supervisor increases the professionalism of employees at the F&B Department of Prime Park Hotel Pekanbaru. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze problems based on data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. And in carrying out the role as Supervisor, the supervisor carries out the Interpersonal Role or the Strategic Interpersonal Role, Information Role and Decisional Role. Based on the results of the research that has been done, for the overall results of observations and interviews, it can be concluded that the role of the Banquet Supervisor increases the professionalism of employees at the F&B Department of Prime Park Hotel Pekanbaru. has been fully running even though there are still shortcomings. Abstract

This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 7 Sijunjung, Sijunjung District, Sijunjung Regency. As the aims of this study are to know the froms of social behavior of adolescent who use the tiktok application and know the positive and negative impacts of tiktok social media for students who use the tiktok application. Therefore, to achieve this goal, a qualitative method was used by taking key informants from this study, namely 10 teenagers who used the Tik Tok application at SMP 7 Sijunjung. This study used a purposive sampling technique through observation and interview techniques. The results of research regarding. The results of the analysis of changes in student behavior through social media tick tock. Judging from the forms of changes in social behavior of students who use social media tiktok SMP Negeri 7 Sijunjung is the behavior of imitating and adapting things that are displayed on tiktok social media such as appearance, speaking the language used, forming social groups with a specific purpose, sorting -sort out friends according to specific goals and consumptive behavior in shopping. The positive impact of students using the TikTok application at SMP Negeri 7 Sijunjung is that students are more able to express themselves, explore their potential and discover new things. Meanwhile, the negative impact of students using the TikTok application at SMP Negeri 7 Sijunjung lies in not socializing with the surrounding environment, forming social groups based on their own goals and inviting social groups not to be active in learning. Abstract

Tourism in Indonesia is an important economic sector, the development of tourism in Indonesia is currently growing rapidly. The development of the tourism sector is promising and provides many benefits to the government, society and the private sector. This is because tourism is a sector that has competence and opportunities to be developed as an asset that is used as a promising source for the government or the community around tourism objects. One of them is West Sumatra Province which is a strategic tourism area where every region has natural beauty which has tourist attractions in every destination that is presented in almost every region in West Sumatra but currently the promotional activities carried out are still not fully running. one-way flow of information or persuasion or made to direct an organization or person to action that creates exchange in marketing by planning and executing a good promotion strategy will also generate revenue and visits. One of the tourist objects in Bukit Tinggi studied is the Bukit Tinggi Panorama Tourism Object which aims to find out how the Bukit Tinggi Panorama Tourism Object is promoted. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method to analyze problems based on data collection techniques in the form of observation, in-depth interviews, and analysis. The Promotion Strategy includes conditional reporting in advertising, sales promotion, public relations and personal selling. Based on the results of the research that has been done, as a whole from the results of observations and interviews, it can be concluded how the Promotion of the Bukit Tinggi Panorama Tourism Object has been carried out although there is still much to be improved.
