Abstract

The research aims to determine the impact of interaction between biofertilizer and N, P, K fertilizer along with the best dosage of biofertilizer and N, P, K fertilizerin increasing growth and yield of red chili. The research was conducted at Experimental Garden of Agriculture Faculty, University of Riau, as long as four months from June to October 2018. The research was done using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) factorial consist of 2 factors. The first factor was Bioboost biofertilizer concentration that consist of 4 levels (40, 80, 120, and          160 cc.l-1 water per plant). The second factor was dosage of N, P, K Fertilizer that consist of 4 levels (0, 0.25, 0.50, and 0.75% from recommendation dosage of N, P, Kfertilizer). The observed parameters were plant height, days to flowering, days to harvesting, fruit length, fruit diameter, and fruit weight per plant. The observed parameters data were analyzed by variance and followed by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at 5% level. The result of the research showed that the treatment of bioboost biofertilizer at concentration 120 cc.l-1 and N, P, K fertilizer (Urea at dosage 82,5 kg.ha-1, TSP at dosage 37,5 kg.ha-1 and KCl at dosage              50 kg.ha-1) gave better impact on plant height, days to flowering, days to harvesting, fruit length, fruit diameter and fruit weight per plant compared to the other treatments.Keyword: red chili, bioboost biofertilizer. Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of combination and the main effect of giving manure and N,P,K fertilizer towards the growth and the production of rice plant and knowing the dosage of manure doses and N,P,K fertilizer on the growth and production of rice in rainfed land. This study was conducted in Binuang Village Bangkinang Sub-district Kampar Regency Riau Province. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) of 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was 3 levels of manure and the second factor was 4 levels of N, P, K fertilizer. The observation parameters consisted of plant height, maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, age out panicle, panicle length, number of grains per panicle, dry grain weight milled per plot andweighs 1,000 grains of grain. The combination of manure and N, P, K fertilizer  at 10 tons.ha-1 manure dosage with a dose of 138 kg N, 54 kgP2O5 , 60 kg K2O showed better results on the parameters ofthe maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, number of grain per panicle. The main factors of manure and N, P, K fertilizer showed better results on the parameters of the maximum number of tillers, number of productive tillers, age out panicle, panicle length, number of grain per panicle and dry grain weight milled per plot. Keywords : Rice plant, manure, N, P, K fertilizer, rainfed land

Abstract

The research aims to find out the effect of interaction between rice straw compost and NPK fertilizer and get the right dosage for growth and yield of eggplant optimally. The research was conducted at Experimental Garden, Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University, Pekanbaru.  The research was conducted for 5 months, from May to September 2018. The research was conducted experimentally in factorial 3 x 3 using a completely randomized design (CRD). The first factor was the dosage of rice straw compost consists of 3 levels (5, 10 and 15 ton.ha-1). The second factor was the dosage of NPK fertilizer (0, 50 and 100 kg.ha-1.). The observed parameterswere plant height, stem diameter, days of flowering, days of harvesting, fruit diameter, fruit length, fruit weight, number of fruits per plant and production per plot. The observed parameters were analyzed byvariance analysis and followed by Duncan's multiple distance test at level 5%. The results of the research showed thatrice straw compostand NPK fertilizer increased the growth of eggplant such as plant height, stem diameter, days of flowering, increased fruit weight, fruit length, number of fruits per plant, production per plot but  did not accelerate days of harvesting and did not increase fruit diameter. The treatment of rice straw compost at dosage 5, 10 and 15 tons.ha.-1 and NPK fertilizer at dosage 100 kg.ha.-1 gave better result on the growth and yield of  eggplant.Keywords: Eggplant, rice straw compost, NPK fertilizer

Abstract

Soybean (Glycine max (L.) Merril) is a type of food that has high nutrition, so it is consumed by many people. The need for soybeans in Indonesia increases every year, while Indonesia's soybean production is not enough to cover soybean needs in Indonesia. This study aims to determine the effect of Organo Triba fertilizer supplemented with half the dose of NPK and get the best dosage for growth and components of soybean yields and compare with full dose NPK recommendations. This research was carried out in the experimental garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) of 1 factor and 4 replications with a control level as a comparison. The factors used were 5 doses of tribal organo fertilizer with 1/2 dose of NPK fertilizer and control levels with recommended dosage NPK without tribal organo. The results showed that 1.5 ton.ha-1 tribal fertilizer with 1/2 dose of NPK showed better results among other treatments in increasing the number of branches. Organo Triba fertilizer with 1/2 dose of NPK does not increase the yield component, because the nutrients that are sufficient in the growing media. Keywords:     Soybean, Organo Triba fertilizer, NPK fertilizer

Abstract

The research aims to study the effect and to obtain the best dose of rubber leaf litter compost on the growth of the rubber seedlings. The experiment has been conducted at the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University Pekanbaru from may to September 2018. The experimental unit was arranged in a Completely Randomized Design (RAL), consisting of 6 treatments: 0, 50, 100, 150, 200 and 250 g/seedling and replicated 3 times. Each experimental unit consisted of 3 seedlings. Parameters observed were seedling height,increase of stem diameter, number of leaves,length of leaf strands and leaf blade width. Data were analyzed statistically using analysis of variance and the mean of each treatment was compared with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test at level 5 %. The result showed that the dose of rubber leaf litter compost at 250 g/seedling gave a better effect on enhacing the growth of rubber seedling. Keywords :Hevea brasiliensis, rubber leaf litter compost.

The experiment  has  been conducted at the experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau University Pekanbaru from may to September 2018. Abstract

Busuk batang atas (BBA) merupakan salah satu penyakit yang menjadi permasalahan dalam budidaya kelapa sawit dan mengganggu pertumbuhan serta menurunkan produksi tandanbuahsegar. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menentukan aktivitas kitinase produksi jamur Trichoderma virens LBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 endofit dan potensinya sebagai agens pengendalian hayati terhadap Ganoderma sp. secara kualitatif. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Riau dan Laboratorium Riset Enzim, Fermentasi dan Biomolekuler Fakultas Matematika & Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Riau dan dilaksanakan pada bulan April hingga Mei 2019. Penelitian dilakukan secara observasi danterdiri dari uji aktivitas enzim kitinase pada jamur T. virensLBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 endofit secara kualitatif menggunakan metode Zona Bening, dan uji hiperparasit T. virensLBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 terhadap Ganoderma sp. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dan disajikan dalam bentuk gambar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa uji kualitatif pada media PDA dan kitin membuktikan bahwa T. virens LBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 dapat menghasilkan kitinase. Tipe hiperparasitik masing-masing isolat jamur T. virens LBKURCC71 dan LBKURCC85 endofit terhadap Ganoderma sp. adalah pelilitan lisis dinding sel patogen oleh kerja kitinase. Kata kunci: Trichoderma virens, Ganoderma, Kitinase, Hiperparasit, JamurEndofit

Abstract

                The purpose of this study is to get the best of rice straw compost and NPK fertilizer on the growth and production of peanuts. This research was conducted at the Faculty of agriculture experiment station, Riau University, Pekanbaru,  over four months from February - June 2016. This study used a completely randomized design factorial consisting of two factors and three replications. The first factor was the rice straw compost (P) consists of four levels: P0 =without rice straw compost, P1 = 7 tons/ha; P2 = 14 tons/ha, and P3 = 21 tons/ha. The second factor was the NPK fertilizer (N), which consists of four levels, namely N0 = withoutNPK fertilizer, N1 = 100 kg/ha, N2 = 200 kg/ha and N3 = 300 kg/ha. The parameter observed were plant height, number of effective nodules, the weight of effective nodules, the amount of flowers, the number of primary branches, number of pithy pods per plant, number of seeds per plant, seed weight per plant, grain weight per m2, weight of 100 seeds. Data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance and Duncan's Multiple Range Test at 5%. Provision of rice straw composts 21 tons/ ha and 200 kg NPK /ha and 300 kg/ha is the best dosing and gave peanut production 141,16 g/m2  (1,41 tons/ha) and 147,48 g/m2                       (1,47 tons/ha).  Key words:Arachis hypogaea L., rice straw compost, fertilizer NPK

Abstract

This research is aimed to get the dosage of bio-slurry organic fertilizer solid suitable for growth and production of pakchoy plants. The research was conducted in Experimental Field of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Riau. The soil type used is Inceptisol. The study was conducted for three months starting from July to October 2016. The experiment was conducted experiments using Completely Randomized Design (RAL), which consisted of 5 treatments and 4 replications. The total experimental unit was 20 plots, with each plot contained 16 plants. Each plot was taken 4 randomly sampled plants. The observational data were analyzed statistically using Analysis of Varian (ANOVA), and Duncan Multiple Range Test at the 5% level. The observed parameters consist of plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of plant, fresh weight of plant worth consumption, root volume, shoot-root ratio and dry weight of the plant. The results showed that the treatment of bio-slurry organic fertilizer solid can increase plant height, leaf number, fresh weight of plant, fresh weight of plant worth consumption, root volume and dry weight of the plant. The best treatment for the production of pakchoy plants are bio-slurry organic fertilizer solid with a dose of 2000 g/plot (20 tons/ha).  Keywords: bio-slurry, organic fertilizer, pakchoy

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe objective of the research is to know the composition and diversity level at Parak forestry, as now a days Parak decreases in number of growth so it must be developed by agroforestry, Nagari Bukik Limbuk is a place that conducts its kind of development. The technique of sampling is systematic sampling with random start. The result of the research showed the level of diversity at Parak Cocoa is 3.05 by the number of sampel about 1556 and total number is 52 species, if it vigure out per level, trees, saplings, seedlings and understorey it has the number of level at the middle, than low level for the pole. Parak Cocoa used random pattern and durian also avocado becomes the share for cocoa, cocoa found 77 numbers. Parak corn has the level of diversity at the middle, 2.48. The highest number at the seedling and understorey is 2.37, it is also mid level. then at the level of trees and poles classified as middle, and at the level of saplings classified as low. The pattern used is fence pattern, the plants for the fence are coconut, cacao and avocado. The number of plants at Parak Jagung is 1367 and the highest number is corn about 450. The both of Parak combined agrosilvopastura by the discovery of fish pool at the Parak cocoa, and also goat and cow at the Parak corn. Keyword: Diversity, Agroforestry, Parak, Vegetation Analysis
