Abstract

Research abaout agricultural extension field perceptions for the importance the role of extension oil palm plantations in Tapung District Kampar purpose is (1) To determind the organizing of extension oil palm plantation in Tapung District Kampar Regency. (2) To determind the agricultural extension field perceptions for the importance the role of extension oil palm plantations . Research with method of survey and intake of sampel all extension in District Tapung amounting to 5 people and held an interview with as respondent, data analysis use Scale Likert'S Summated Rating ( SLR). Variable role of extension agent the used according to Mardikanto (2009) and UU SP3K Year 2006 . The result illustrate organizing of extension in Tapung District has gone well according the element of extension. Extension workers perceive that the role of education is important for oil palm plantations can be seen from the non-farmers : 1. Facility process study get score 4,14 with important category 2. Amenity access to get score 4,22 with very importent category. 3. Ability of leadership get score 3,98 with important category 4. Developing organizational get score 4,28 with very importan category 5. Analysing and solving problem to get score 4,35 with very important category 6. Developing awareness get score 4,48 with important category 7. Institutionalizing cultural values get score 4,12 with important category 8. Supervision or construction get score 4,63 with very important category 9. Abstract

Gapoktan Tani Jaya that located in the Pandau Jaya Village of Kampar District is one of the beneficiaries of Rural Agribusiness Development ( PUAP ) which has been running for 5 years . Until now , there has been no discourse to improve PUAP institutions into MFI - A. An MFI - A should have social performance in its outreach and financial performance with good level financial position (Arsyad, 2008). Based on the explanation , aim of this research are: to analyze the social performance, analyzing the financial performance of institutions and policy implications the results of the analysis of social performance and financial performance of the institution. The data used are secondary data derived from the financial statements and progress reports of institution membership in 2009 until 2012 and the primary data is interviews to PPL and agency managers. Outreach of institutional customers is fluctuated because there are non-active members at a later stage. Staff outreach is considered good because it can meet all the needs of members. Loan outreach also fluctuate because there are non-active members and the existence of arrears in 2011 and 2012. Savings range is considered good because a lot of members who do voluntary savings each year. Sales of fertilizer also has a positive effect on the development of the institution's revenues. Liquidity and solvency ratio has decreased every year but the value of the ratio is still in a liquid state and solvable. Profitability and activity ratio is considered good although profits are quite small but positive effect on institutions and organizations are also able to streamline the activities of financial resources. The policy implications of the institutions should increase the number of active borrowers and reduce operational costs , and increase profits from the activity of the institution. Abstract

A development is an effort to gain the more and the better life. There are 4 indicators in gaining the development they are economic change, human resources, social inhibition and the high of life needed. A development in the development country likes Indonesia, generally more consider the development of economic sector in the hope of much progressed in production of job vacancy.There are two kinds of economic activities, they are from formal sector and informal one. Formal sector is a sector of educated people inside. The purpose of this study is to the income of the traders from food and beverage enterprises informal sector in Kecamatan Tampan City Pekanbaru and know the problems that are usually faced by food and beverage vendors informal sector businesses. This research method using purposive sampling effort sample size of 30 food and beverage businesses. Results showed revenue traders of food and beverage business is large enough to meet the needs of life and their families, while the problems faced by the traders capital, location and problems of knowledge management is still lacking. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the characteristics of tauke and farmers conducted in Pangkatan Village Subdistrict Pangkatan District Labuhan Batu North Sumatera Province, analyzed the relationship of tauke conducted in Pangkatan Village Subdistrict Pangkatan District Labuhan Batu North Sumatera Province. This study was conducted in Pangkatan Village Subdistrict Pangkatan District Labuhan Batu, North Sumatera Province. The sampling method used Random Sampling. The data analysis used were descriptive analysis with the presentation of qualitative analysis. the relationship form that connected between farmers and ‘tauke’ were marketing of palms oil. The farmers relied to ‘tauke’ to sell their palms oil. The marketing of palms oil were not balanced, where ‘tauke’ were more advantaged than the farmers. The factors caused the relationship of ‘tauke’ and farmers included palms oil marketing, costs of farming, costs of consumption, costs of health, and costs of children education.while, factors of the relationship between ‘tauke’ and farmers were capital factors (economic), production factors, and family factors.   Keyword: Marketing, patron-client, Farmers, tauke and Rumbber’

Abstract

The successful of pineapple based agro-industry business is influenced by the perception and the group dynamics of the agro-industry enterprises. This study aimed to determine the perceptions and dynamics of craftsmen group and also to determine pineapple based agro-industry business development for individual and group in Kualu Nenas Village Tambang District of Kampar Regency Riau Province. This research was conducted on October 2012 to September 2013 by using saturated sampling (census) and a sample of 11 pineapple chips of craftsmen.The results showed that the craftsman perception of effort is good enough, with a score of 3.39. Group dynamism as measured from 9 variables with a score of 2.27 which states that the craftsmen group are not dynamic. Development of pineapple based agro-industry business when viewed from an individual business is pretty good enough with a score of 3.02. On the other hand, when viewed as a group of businesses, such efforts have not been further developed as indicated by a score of 1.80.   Keywords: Perception, dynamics of group, agro-industry, pineapple

Abstract

Corn is the second food comodity after rice and a source of calories or food instead of rice. Demand of corn will be increased every year, so it is necessarry to increase rate of production. Focus of this study is to determine the net income, corn farming efficiency of corn farmers, families income, and to find out the related issues. This research was conducted in the Dosroha village, Simanindo district, Samosir regency, North Sumatera. Take about three months from August-October 2013. This study was performed by using census method,where respondents are 26 active corn  farmers Dosroha village. Survey results showed that the average of corn production is 5,688 kg/ha/cropping season with an average of selling price is Rp 2,062/kg. The average of gross income is Rp 8,091,538/land area/cropping season or Rp 11,726,867/ha/cropping season. The average of net income received by farmers was Rp 2,992,925/cultivation area/cropping season or Rp 4,334,653/ha/cropping season. The average of families income is Rp 3,474,005/land area or Rp 5,031.87/ha/cropping season with an average of land area is 0.69 ha. Based on  the efficiency analysis, efficiency of corn farmers in Dosroha village is 1.57,  means that for every Rp 100 of expense farmers will make a profit is Rp 0.57, so we can say that the corn farmer in Dosroha village already efficient in RCR term. Abstract

The objective of this research is (1) to analyse the margin, profits, and eficiency of Rubber marketing, (2) to find which marketing access is the most profitable for the rubber farmer, (3) to find the relation of the farmers with the marketing institutes or merchants, and (4) to identify the problems faced by the farmers and merchants in rubber marketing. The writer used survey method to collect the data. There were two kinds of respondent in this research taken by using Snaw Ball method; the farmers and the merchants. Those samples consisted of 75 rubber farmers and 12 merchants. The research findings show that  the total of margins are Rp 8.000,00/kg at marketing access 1 and Rp 6.500,00/kg in marketing access 2. The efficiencies of marketing are 19% in the marketing access 1, by the profits of Rp 7,733.00/kg obtained by the farmers but 17% in marketing access 2 by the higher profits of Rp 8,907.81/kg. The problems faced by the farmers are getting into debt (33,67%), and the lowest comes from the less available fertilizer. (3.33%).The problems faced by the merchants in marketing access 1 are cost rivalry (50,00%), the destroyed road and the highly water contained (33.34%). The dominant relation of the farmers with the marketing institutes or merchants of rubber at Rupat Island of Bengkalis Regency in the marketing access 1 is as close friends for 9 farmers 15%, while the lowest is as relatives and cousin 6 persons or 6,66%. Finally, in the marketing access 2, the dominant relation of the farmers with the marketing institutes or merchants is unrelated 8 people or 53.33% and the lowest is friends of 2 people or 13,34%.   Keywords : Marketing system, Rubber

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to knowing the marketing channel of pineapple chips, to analyze marketing efficiency of pineapple chips, to analyze marketing mix of  pineapple chips and to identify aspects of strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats and formulate strategies that can be applied in development agroindustry pineapple chips. The analityc method used in this research is survey method with sample 12 craftsmen. The reseach result shows there are two marketing channels pineapple chips are directly and indirectly. Marketing efficiency at direct and indirect marketing channel there is the same in the plastic 250gr packaging. Product strategies with respect to product attributes, branding, gift packaging, labeling and product support services. Pricing strategies based on cost and competition. Distribution strategies are directly to consumers, through retailers and wholesalers. Promotion strategies are personal selling, sales promotion and direct marketing. Pineapple chips marketing strategy are participation in training in order to development business, increase production, cooperation with the government to finding alternative problems solutions and utilizing media promotion. Abstract

This study aims to identifying the influence of production factor to mustard production and to analyze the allocation efficiency of the production factor watermelon farm. The estimated result with Cobb-Douglass production function and Efficiency analysis. The results showed simultaneously all the independen variables (X) obvious effect the dependent variable (Y). Partial fertilizer ZA, SP-36 and Gandasil significantly effect the production of watermelon in the District Tampan City Pekanbaru, sig value 0,000 < 0,01 in level 95%. The NPM/Px value for organic fertilizer, ZA, SP-36, antracol, tupermin, dupont, seprint,EM-4 and labour usage is ≥ 1, it means the usage both of that factors can be increased. The value of NPM/Px for seed, fertilizer NPK and KCL is not important to reach economic efficiency condition and get the maximum benefit Keyword :Efficiency, Production Factor, District Tampan, Watermelon, Farm

Abstract

The purpose of this research was (1) the characteristic of KKPA member toward cooperative unit village (KUD) Sumber Rezeki, (2) the participation of KKPA  member toward KUD, (3) the relationship of characteristic and participation of KKPA member toward cooperative unit village (KUD) in Buluh Rampai Seberida district of Indragiri Hulu regency. The method used was survey method where the population of this research was the members of cooperative at Buluh Rampai the total of KKPA member 597 which classified into 32 groups. The technique of collecting data used simple random sampling system which taken one of 32 respondents with criteria included the member of KKPA . The result of this research was the significant relationship of characteristic and participation of KKPA member toward the cooperative unit village (KUD) in Buluh Rampai Seberida district of Indragiri Hulu regency.   Keyword : characterstic, participation, significant, unit coperatives village, KKPA
