Abstract

Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Desember 2016 sampai Januari 2017 bertempat di Jorong VI Sorik Nagari Taruang-Taruang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan profil dan kegiatan pada POKDAKAN Tunas Harapan I, dan menganalisis perkembangan pemberdayaan pada POKDAKAN Tunas Harapan I. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode Survei. Jumlah responden 12 orang merupakan anggota POKDAKAN Tunas Harapan I. Penentuan responden dilakukan secara teknik sensus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa POKDAKAN Tunas Harapan I telah berdiri sejak tahun 2013 dengan jumlah anggota 12 orang, merupakan kelompok yang terbentuk dari proses pengembangan kawasan minapolitan. POKDAKAN Tunas Harapan I telah menjalankan aktivitas kelompok. Kegiatan pokok POKDAKAN Tunas harapan I adalah budidaya pembesaran dengan komoditi unggulan yaitu Ikan Mas. Manajemen kelompok telah berjalan sesuai AD/ART yang telah disepakti bersama. Berdasarkan analisis terhadap perkembangan POKDAKAN Tunas harapan I menggunakan VPA (Vectorial Project Analisis). Berdasarkan analisis VPA (vectorial project analysis) pada perkembangan POKDAKAN pada tahun pertama terdapat perubahan kepada kemandirian pada tahun berikutnya.Keyword: Development, Empowerment, Fishfarmer, Minapolitan Program

Abstract

This research was conducted in April 5 to May 15, 2017 in Laboratory of Fishing Gear Material of Aquatic Resources Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University of Riau, Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to know the increase of PA net yarn length after soaking in fresh water and sea water. The method used in this research is the experimental method, the result data for changes of the length net yarn is processed using the formula according to SNI 08-0889-1989 and then analyzed descriptively. From the result of this research, there are changes of polyamide (PA) yarn length after soaked in fresh water and sea water with average length will change after soaking in freshwater and sea water of 1002.51 mm and 1002.89 mm while average change of length after several condition in freshwater and seawater of 1002.51 mm and 1002.79 mm. The authors suggest to do for further research on the changes of the net yarn length after soaking in freshwater and sea water with the addition of soaking time and conducted research on the tensile strength of PA yarn after immersion.Keywords: Changes Of Net Yarn, Fresh Water, Sea Waters

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was conducted on May-July 2017. The purpose of this research was to determine the utilization of fermented chicken feather meal on artificial feed barramundi and to obtain additional levels of the best feather meal in feed formulation barramundi fingerling, digestibility, growth, feed efficiency and protein retention. This study uses a completely randomized design (CRD) of the factors with 5 treatments and 3 replicated. The treatment in this study was the addition of fermented feather meal that is P1 (0%), P2 (5%), P3 (10%), P4 (15%), P5 (20%) in feed. Protein for feed test average was 45%. The results show that the best treatment material is P5 (20%). The use of 20% chicken feather meal fermentation to produce feed digestibility of 29,58%, feed efficiency of 20,86%, 25,47%protein retention and specific growth rate of 2,34%.Keywords: chicken feather meal, Bacillus sp., Fermentation, barramundi(Latescalcarifer, Bloch), artificial feed

Abstract

This research was conducted in April to June 2016 at BBPI Semarang. The object of research is to determine the ratio between Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG) and gasoline by its consumption and economy analysis.The experiment was conducted in laboratory (no burden), in the field of  operation of fishing vessel and fishing trip. The data is analyzed using descriptive and economic analysis. The result of show that LPG as an alternative fuel is more efficient than gasoline for it can reduce 37 % of the use of fuel consumtion It reach around 0.88 kg / trip meanwhile gasoline is higher 0,62 kg/trip than LPG. From financial review, LPG also is the best in fishing effort small scale fishing operation where BCR 2.12, FRR  65.76% while the bank interest rate of bank is 5%, This means that the investment is acceptable to the gasoline. The fishing effort using LPG fuel is acceptable, where the value of FRR> bank rate. The maximum value PPC with an annual average was 1.52. Abstract

Streams, dam and pool around the University of Riau is inhabited by many types of aquatic organisms, including freshwater loster (Cherax quadricarinatus). Freshwater lobster (Cherax quadricarinatus) is an alien species originated from Austalia. So far, the information obtained is only limited to type identification, while other information on the lobster is not yet known. To understand the feeding habit of freshwater lobster in the aquatic ecosystem, a research has been conducted in December-January 2017. There were three sampling areas, namely an earthen pool around the Rektorat Building (Station 1), the dam (Station 2) and the stream in the back of Marine Science Building (Station 3). Samplings were conducted everyday for a one month period. Lobster was captured using a scoop net and pit traps. Stomach content analysis was performed in the laboratory. Total number of lobster sampled was 40. Results shown that the main food of the lobster is detritus (IP>40%), the complementary food is fish remains, plant and phytoplankton (IP 4-40%).Keyword : Cherax quadricarinatus, Lobster, Index of preponderance, Stream, dam

Abstract

  ABSTRACTThis study aimed to determine the chemical content of catfish head flour catfish (Clariasgariepinus).The research was conducted in two stages, those were the preparation of catfish head flour and then the proximate analysis of catfish head flour.The  parameters used in first step were the percentage of body parts and yield, while those  in the second stage werethe content ofmoisture, ash, protein, fat, and carbohydrate. The results showed that the whole catfish was consisted of head 29.73%, visceral 6.63%, and meat 63.64%.The yield of catfish head flour was 39.74%. Its chemical composition was consisting of the moisture 9.62% (wet based), ash17.25% protein 50.94%, fat 19.66%, and carbohydrate 4.94%(dry based). Keywords :Clariasgariepinus, flour, proximate, yield

Abstract

Parit Belanda River is one of Siak River tributaries and it is inhabited by various species of fish. To understand the type of fish living in that river, a study has been conducted on November-December 2015. Samplings were conducted 2 weekly, in 3 stations; in the upstream (ST I), middle (ST II) and downstream (ST III) of the river. Results shown that there were 129 fishes captured and they are belonged to 27 species. Seven species (26%) are categorized as ornamental fish (Esomus metallicus, Rasbora chrysotaenia, Dermogenys pusilla, Poecelia reticulata, Betta waseri, Trichogaster leerii and Trichopsis vittata). Other 7 species (26%) are edible fish (Thynnichthys polylepis, Channa lucius, Channa striata, Oreochromis niloticus, Mystus nemurus, Mystus nigriceps and Monopterus albus). While 13 other species can be classified as ornamental-edible fish (Cyclocheilichtys apogon, Hampala macrolepidota, Labiobarbus leptochilus, Osteochilus hasselti, Puntius binotatus, Puntius bulu, Oxyeleotris marmorata, Anabas testudineus, Trichogaster pectoralis, Trichogaster trichopterus, Helostoma temminckii, Osphronemus goramy and Pterygoplichthys pardalis).Keyword: ornamental fish , edible fish, ornamental-edible fish , Parit Belanda River Rumbai Pesisir District Pekanbaru, Riau

Abstract

Osphronemus gouramy Lac is one of freshwater fish that inhabit the Pinang Luar Lake. This fish is the most common fish in the lake, but information on its stomach content is rare. A research aims to understand the stomach content had been conducted from March-April 2017. Sampling was conducted once/ week for a one month period. There were 67 fishes captured. Stomach contents were analyzed as a basis for calculating the Preponderance Index (PI). The analysis was conducted using the gravimetric method. Results shown that in all fish captured, the content of the stomach consists of aquatic plant stem, leaves, fish scales and insect remains (shell and legs). The main food of O. gouramy is plant materials (94%). Based on the data obtained, this fish can be categorized as herbivore.Keyword : Gravimetric, Herbivore, Osphronemus gouramy, Oxbow Lake

Abstract

                                                   ABSTRAK Mangrove ecotourism is one of efforts to maintain and utilize mangrove forests sustainably. This research was conducted in May 2017 in Sungai Asam Village, Reteh district, Indragiri Hilir Regency, Riau Province. This study was aimed to determine the potential of mangrove ecosystems, to know the level of participation and perception of policy makers (community and stakeholders), and to compose strategies for developing mangrove ecotourism in Sungai Asam Village. The method used in this research was survey method. Sampling point and respondents determined by purposive sampling method. Sungai Asam Village has the potential to be developed as a mangrove ecotourism area due to the good ecological condition of the forest. Community participation in ecotourism development in Sungai Asam village is low with IPR value of -0.16 and mean value of 0.95, while community perception on ecotourism development in Sungai Asam village is high with IPR value of -2.68 and the mean value of 7.63. Based on the perception of the stakeholders that the mangrove forest area of Sungai Asam Village is suitable to be a mangrove ecotourism area. The strategy that must be applied in the development of mangrove ecotourism in Sungai Asam Village is to implement aggressive strategy (Growth Oriented Strategy) by prioritizing the SO Strategy those are: 1) determining the mangrove forest area of Sungai Asam Village as a conservation area, 2) Creating a general management plan, 3) Building cooperation with colleges or research institutes 4) Developing local communities. Abstract

This study was conducted in February 2016 in the strait between Belakang Padang Island and Sambu Island of Batam City in Riau Island Archipelago Province. The aim of the student has to understand the environmental deposition of Pulau Belakang Padang waters based on the analysis of surface sediments distribution. Surface sediment samples were taken using Eckman grab from 20 sampling points, to analyze the grain size and sediment composition. In general, the sediment characteristics of the study area is dominated by the fraction from fine to very fine sand. Environmenal deposition can be devided 4 groups. The first group has a weak current and very unstable oceanographic condition, the second group has a mean size that is more rugged and has lower percentage of clay fraction, third group was characterized by stronger current and slightly more stable oceanographic condition and fourth group has oceanographic conditions with the most strong and more stable current system.Keyword: Sediment, Distribution, Belakang Padang, Sambu, Batam
