Abstract

ABSTRACTResearch about the relationship between success of volume of sale and demand of seeds of Trachinotus Blochii was conducted from October 16th to November 7th, 2014, in Center of Fishery of Mariculture, Batam, Riau Island. This research aimed to see the development of trend of production and demand, and also its relationship and influence on the success of sales volume. The method used was Survey Development Research method. The result of research showed that the trend of development of production and demand of seeds of Trachinotus Blochii increases with average quantity for production is 56,162.5 seeds (16.3%) and average quantity for demand is 98.750 seeds (22.8%). While, the relationship and influence between the volume of sales and demands is 97.4%, Adjusted R Square 93.3% and Unstandardized Coefficient 59%.Key words: Trachinotus Blochii, Development, Production.

Abstract

ABSTRACTvuji.pujiono@yahoo.comThis research was conducted on Agustus 2014, which is held in the Laboratory Fishing Gear Materials, The Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to determine the performance of stow nets fishing gear in the water, therefore it can infer the ideal flow velocity for this fishing gear. This study used an experimental method to determine the performance of stow nets fishing gear which is tested in the flume tank by using an impeller rotation speed was 5-50 Hz and the flow velocity was 2.7-246.1 cm/sec. The results were obtained that flow velocity made the effect on the position, the movement and the shift of stow nets fishing gear too. The ideal flow velocity for stow nets fishing gear was 44.3 cm /sec, while the flow velocity was 2.7 cm /sec it made the mouth of filter nets fishing gear started to open in the flume tank on the right time.Keyword : Flow velocity, performance, stow nets, flume tank.

Abstract

If the goal was reached, this study is expected to provide benefits for fishermen in the field of arrest. The comparison of two arm and four arm straps were to determined the position of fishing gear on surface water. According to the period of fishing gear, the shift of fishing gear, the experimental results showed that the gear four arm straps on 49.6 cm / sec flow velocity, it can be said that fishing gear is better than two more stout rope arm movements.Keywords : Flow velocity, fishing gear performance, fishing gear

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was aimed to determine the best steamed temperature and to determine the steamed effect on phsycochemical of trash fish. The research was conducted on June-July 2014 in fishery processing laboratory and fishery chemical laboratory Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science Riau University, and this research was conducted also in food laboratory Bogor Agriculture Institute. Trash fish was obtained from Tanjung Beringin Village, Rampah - North Sumatera. The metode used in this research was completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments of steamed temperature S1 (100 ºC), S2 (90 ºC) and S3 (80 ºC).The results showed that the treatment S3 (80 ºC) of steamed temperature was the best treatment with absorption 126.67, white degree 33.67, pH 6.41 and yield 16.90. Chemical characteristic for ash content 17.72 %, water content 7.51%, protein content 50.95%, fat content 7.70 % and crude fiber 4.22%.Keywords: Trash fish, flour, temperature, steam and physicochemical characteristics

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research was conducted on September to October 2014. The study aims were to determine the abundance, size distribution and distribution pattern of mangrove snail (T. telescopium) in the Darul Aman Coastal Bengkalis Regency. The method used was a survey method. Samples of snail population and sediment were collected by a single visit during low tide. Location of study was divided into 3 stations. Station I have grow rare mangrove, residential community and coastal abrasion, station II have dense and closely mangrove, station III have close with river estuary, rarely struck high tide because higher dan mangrove grow rarely than. The sample analysis carried out in Marine Biologi Laboratory of Fishery and Marine Science Faculty of Riau University.The results of the study show that the highest abundance of snail was at the station III (2,05 ind/m2) and the lowest was at the station I (0,6 ind/m2). The most dominant of size distribution is 81 – 90 mm. Distribution pattern in this area is uniform with Id between 0,88 – 0,98.Keywords: Telescopium telescopium. abundance. distribution. Abstract

AbstractIn floating cage fish culture activities, degradation of feed remain and fish feces willaffect the abundance of phytoplankton content in the surrounding area. A research aims tounderstand the difference of phytoplankton abundance in the water from the cage area and fromthe area that has no cage has been done from June – August 2014. In the Koto Panjang Dam,the floating cage fish culture is in the DAM site. Samplings were conducted 4 times, once/2weeks. There were 3 stations, namely 200 m upstream of the cage area (S1), in the cage area (S2)and 200 m downstream of the cage area (S3). In each station, water samples were collected from3 different depth, surface; 2 secchi and 4 secchi depths. Parameters measured were pH,phosphate, nitrate, free carbon dioxide, dissolved oxygen, transparancy, temperature and depth.Results shown the abundance of phytoplankton in the S1 was 1,068 – 8,226 cells/L ; in the S2was 500 – 3,720 cell/L; and in the S3 was 777 – 5,100 cells/L. The highest abundance ofPhytoplankton was in S1, while the lowest was in the cage area (S2). Phytoplankton abundancein the cage area was different compare to the area with no cage. Phytoplankton abundanceindicates that the DAM site area of the Koto Panjang can be classified as mesotrophic, especiallyin the area around the cage. Other water quality parameter measured were temperature: 29 oC –31oC; transparancy 1,98 m – 2,55 m; depth: 27 m – 40 m; pH: 5, free carbon dioxide: 4,49mg/L- 11,48 mg/L; dissolved oxygen: 3,28 – 7,17 mg/L; nitrate: 0,02 – 0,28 mg/L; phosphate :0,03 – 0,35 mg/L. the values of water quality parameters indicate that the water quality in theDAM site of the Koto Panjang is good and might be able to support the life of aquatic organismsin that area.Keywords: Phytoplankton, cage fish culture, Koto Panjang DAM

Abstract

A research aims to understandthe Dissolved Oxygen concentration in the water from the cage area and from the area that hasno cage has been done from July - November 2014. Result shown the concentration of Dissolved Oxygen in the S1 was 4,52mg/L – 7,17 mg/L; in the S2 was 3,28 mg/L – 6,57 mg/L; and in the S3 4,00 mg/L – 6,87 mg/L.The highest concentration of the Dissolved Oxygen was in the upstream (S1) while the lowestwas in S2. Other water quality parameter measured were phytoplankton: 500 cells/L – 8,226cells/L; free carbon dioxide: 4,49 mg/L - 11,48 mg/L; temperature: 30,6oC – 31oC; pH: 5;transparancy 1,98 m – 2,55 m; depth: 27 m – 40 m. General the parts quality still support theaquatic organism life. the values of water quality parameters indicate that the water quality in theDAM site of the Koto Panjang is good and might be able to support the life of aquatic organismsin that area.Keywords: Dissolved Oxygen, cage fish culture, Koto Panjang Dam

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study has been done on the reefs in the coastal waters of Setan Island. Field work was carried out in April 2014 by deploying LIT method. The aim of this study was to find out the condition of the reefs based on the percentage of Hard Living Coral Cover. Three stations as representatives were chosen purposively. The result showed, the type of reefs in the area of study was domitated by fringing reef with different condition on each station. The station 1 showed good condition, it was 58,75%, station 2 showed good condition, it was 54,90% and station 3 showed good condition, it was 54,89%. Abstract

ABSTRAKThis research wes conducted on agustus , 2014 in Desa Bantan TengahKecamatan Bantan Kabupaten Bengkalis. This study aimed to anderstand thephysical and chemical parameters on longline fishing ground. There were 3sampling points, water quality parameter were measured everyday for 10 daysperiod. analytical description was used to evaluate the relationship betweenlongline catches and the environmental factors such as dissolved temperatur,salinity, current speed, depth of water, brigthness and pH, on this research bydescriptive analysis.Everage weigth of catch is 1.3 kg, consist of Silver Conger (muarenesoxcinareus), kuro (Eleutheronema sp), Red Snapper (Lutjanus sp), Deep Leatherskin(Scomberoides tala), Barracuda (Sphyraena sp), Gerot-Gerot (Pamadaysmaculates). Results shown that enviromental parameters as follow dissolvedtemperature 27 0C – 29 0C, salinity 21 – 30 ‰, current speed 0,15 m/s – 1,60 m/s,brigthness 1.20 m -2,20 m, depth of water 20 m – 50 m, and (pH) 7-8.Keywords :longline, physical and chemical waters parameter, fishing ground

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe research aims to know marketing outlets, the margin and the revenue obtained marketing institutions Anchovies rice. Based on the results of research, there are two kinds of marketing outlets first is from a producer to middle-men, then into a retailer Rantauprapat traders and consumers Rantauprapat, while for the second from a producer to middle-men, then into the large Tanjung Balai Asahan, then consumers Medan, Jakarta and Malaysia.Marketing costs in a month from each of the largest marketing agencies are issued by retailers 2 Rp. 84.292/kg and the smallest is the merchant Gatherer 2 Rp 43.207/kg. Net receipts within one month of each marketing agencies is the largest obtained by the merchants for the purpose of marketing Malaysia amounting to Rp. 34.413/kg and the smallest is the retailers 2 Rp 5.708/kg.The value of marketing margins on the level of middle-men namely 28,57 %, the value of marketing margins on the level of a retailer Rantauprapat traders namely 44,44 %. Meanwhile, the value of marketing margins on their destination marketing Medan namelyJOM : Vol. 26 JANUARI 201544,44 %, area destination marketing Jakarta is 50,00 % and their destination marketing Malaysia namely 54,55 %.Keyword: Marketing Channel, Marketing Margin, Anchovies rice
