Abstract

Semi precast beam is unitary beam element that supports the load in longitudinal direction, the beam is unification of semi precast concrete with 5 MPa strength of precast concrete and cast in place with 17.5 MPa strength which were combined to create unified element of semi precast beam structure. Semi precast beams made the object of review using three beams type with dimensional variations as high as beam semi precast one layer was 140 mm, beam semi precast one layer 290 mm height, and beam semi precast two layers 290 mm height to be analyzed using finite element analysis Abaqus 6.12. Semi precast beams model will be given the burden of axial load has increased. Beams will be analyzed the influence of pure bending strength received by the relationship load - deflection parameters, the relationship moments - curvature and crack pattern that occurred three types of beams. Based on analysis results obtained with Abaqus 6.12 axial load greater value with increased dimensions and beams will be more stiffness. The maximum axial load value capable detained by the three types of semi precast beams at 8,61 kN for semi precast beams one layer was 140 mm height, 29.64 kN for semi precast beams one layer of 290 mm height and 25 kN for semi precast beam two layers of 290 mm height. Evaluation of cracking that occurs is cracked bending pure occur in areas of bending moment largest and in areas of tension on the beam.Keywords : Beam, semi precast, precast concrete, cast-in-place concrete, the finite element analysis

Abstract

The increased number of users and distance of communication, it caused the network quality decreased in the Device-To-Device (D2D) communication system. In this paper, simulation on D2D unicast by using SimuLTE software is presented. This is in order to evaluate the effect of the number of users and the distance to the quality of D2D network in terms of Channel Quality Indicator (CQI) and Throughput Media Access Control (MAC) on downlink and uplink condition. From the simulation results, the distance which is greater than 50 meters resulted in the decrease of Channel Quality Indicator (CQI). However, Throughput Media Access Control (MAC) on downlink is better than the uplink condition. The increased number of users reduces the MAC throughput in both uplink and downlink conditions. Thus, as a conclusion, the quality of the D2D network has better performance in short distance rather than long distance with a few number of users.Keyword : D2D Communication, SimuLTE, CQI, Throughput MAC

Abstract

Tanjung Belit village in Kampar Kiri Hulu subdistrict has been transformed to be tourism object and it is passed through by a river (Sebayang River). This place does not provide adequatefacility for accommodation. That is the reason why there has to be a temporary accommodation, such as resort. Buildings with the characteristics of rumah lontiok still stand in this region.However, the villagers had not used those characteristics. The villagers focus more on maximizing the function of the shapes and space of their house. To reflect characteristics of the place where the resort is built, Postmodern Architecture is the suitable theme for this resort design. By using Postmodern Architecture topic as design approach, hence we get the Compound of Composure andGregarious concept. Composure is interpreted as modern architeture which emphasizes on function and simple form, and Gregarious is interpreted as Lontiok Architecture which has more shapes and carved objects. The compatibility of the concept is applied on site pattern and building form including zoning, mass order, outdoor planning, mass formation, indoor planning, and interior.Keyword:Resort, Compound, Postmodern Architecture

Abstract

This paper discusses about fiber to the home network (FTTH) at panam riau university campus. In designing, it is required to determine the closest STO, and the determination of the distribution channels. The analysis of designing will involve two parameters.i.e. power link budget, and rise time budget. The result of power link budget shows a maximum of -27 dBm receiver sensitivity. In the meantime the downlink an uplink total calculation is considered acceptable to conduct the NRZ encoding due to remains within the specification of downlink and uplink bitrate total time.i.e. 0,562 ns and 0,2813 ns, respectively. Abstract

Rotating machines that have been operating within a certain period of time there is frequent vibration. The vibration is usually caused by unbalance, misalignment, bearing defect, and others. Unbalance is ranked as a first cause of vibration, which more than 80% cases of vibration caused by unbalance. This condition causes the balancing process needs to be done. A commonly method of vibration measurement uses vibration sensors such as accelerometer or vibrometer, that should be affixed to the machine in operation. This can cause discomfort and may even dangerous the operator when measuring the machines. The solution of the problem can be done using non contact measurement, where the sensor is not attached directly to the test equipment. Microphone is a device that can record the sound signal without necessarily contact the tested device. The unbalance tendency of the test is characterized by the presence of the dominant frequency at one rotational speed (1 x rpm). From the test, the result of balancing of normal condition on one rotor and two rotors are 0.039 V and 0.031 V with balancing efficiency 87.88% and 80.74% respectively. The addition of unbalance mass on one rotor and two rotors is obtained balancing result of 0.031 V and 5.88x10-3 V with efficiency balancing of 93.58% and 97.43% respectively.Keywords : voice signal, unbalance, balancing, microphone, unbalance mass

Abstract

The CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) machine is a tool equipped with a computer-controlled mechanical and control system capable of reading N, G, F, T, and other code instructions. The codes will be instructed to the CNC machine interface system, so that the machine can work in accordance with the program listings that have been made. In general the selling price of this machine is still very high. Therefore, in this study designed a CNC machine with low cost which is intended for small and medium enterprises (SMEs). This CNC milling assembly machine has 3 axes that is X, Y and Z axis. In this research, the CNC milling 3 axes machine is consists of several important components such as guide ways, transmission system, driver and controller. These components are widely available in the market. CNC milling machine has dimensions size of machine length of 700 mm x width of 600 mm x height of 1227 mm. the CNC milling machine 3 axes has advantages that can make several types of wood carving products and acrylic. The results of the test where obtained accuracy of CNC milling 3 axes machine for Y axis that was 0.1946 mm and for X axis of 0.2463 mm.Key Words : CNC, dimensions, accuracy, axis

Abstract

The level of risk of drought in the DAS Siak can be known, by calculating the index for drought using Thornthwaite Mather method. This method emphasizes the importance of rainfall data as input and potential evapotranspiration as superficial, but it is also necessary parameters soil moisture and vegetation as listener. The relationship between rainfall and potential evapotranspiration shows the state of the showing period of drought month and and the wet month. In the drought month period the amount of rain water is not sufficient for the water used by the plant, resulting in a shortage of soil moisture. The relationship between soil moisture shortage by potential evapotranspiration yield drought index. The choice of location DAS Siak in this study in order to reinforce the Drought Disaster Risk Index Map Riau Province issued by BNPB. Climate variability analysis results showed a decrease in the average annual rainfall of 15.50 mm/yr and an increase in average annual temperature of 0.08 °C. Thornthwaite Mather method analysis results showed an increase in average drought of 3.99% every year. The highest level of risk of drought occurred in 2014 and 2015 with a duration of severe drought occurred from January to November.Keywords: drought index, Thornthwaite Mather

Abstract

The piping systems are an important part of infrastructure in industry, such as the gas and oil industry as a transport in circuits of liquids and gases from one point to another. Problems often found in piping systems are corrosion, leaks, and blockages. Corrosion is the beginning of leakage and blockage. Corrosion detection method in developed pipe, for example radiography method that utilize electromagnetic wave, while method of ultrasonic testing is utilize ultrasonic wave. The disadvantages of both methods are high cost and difficult to operate. The purpose of this research is to analyze sound signal at corrosion pipe by giving acoustic excitation and Identify the change of sound signal that happened due to corrosion position on surface in pipe. In this paper, the basis of corrosion detection in pipes is reflectometry waves using acoustic methods. Reflectometry waves are reflected waves that propagate in the diameter of the pipe. If there is a difference in diameter in the pipe then some waves will be continued along the pipe and the other waves will bounce towards the sound source . Stages of data retrieval is done when filled with air pressure 1 atm and air with various types of corrosion. The way data is collected by giving the sound excitation, then the signal is processed by transfomenting to the form of fast fourier transform and wavelet transform. The result of examination was obtained emission of acoustic that got detection of corrosion position on pipe diameter and also got estimation error under 10 %.Keyword : Piping System, Corrosion, Reflectometry, Sound Signal, Fast Fourier Transformation, Wavelet

Abstract

Dumai city is one of the cities in Sumatra that traversed by the cross-Sumatra railway track. To accommodate users of railway system, Dumai city requires facilities which is passenger train station. The aim of this research is to produce concept design of train station in Dumai city. The concept applied in this train station design is progressive. The concept of progress is applied to the circulation of buildings with a clear orientation, no user congestion and the formation of physical buildings that show movement images. Main strategies of this design has several aspects such as survey, site analysis, concept, zoning, mass shape, room programing, structure, utility, and facade. Process of train station design emphasis in contextual contrast approach. The contextual approach is applied to the building physic which contrast with its neighbor, but still focus on contextual itself. Finally train station present here will consolidate, save, increase neighbor quality.Key words: Dumai City, Train Station, Contextual Contrast, Neighbors Quality.

Abstract

Rokan Hilir has good potential for fisheries, and it has been proved since 2007, the production of fishery in Rokan Hilir Regency has been above 50.000 tons, (BPS, 2015). That potential needs to beaccomodated to education world to develop and increase production of fisheries in Rokan Hilir, considering historically Bagansiapiapi has ever been known as the second largest producer of fisheries production in the world. The planned means is High School of fishery. In High School of Fishery design, the design approach applied is echo-architecture design principle in order tosinergize the building with the environment. In order to emphasize the design “Bahtera Edukasi” concept is applied which is gotten from historical value of Bagansiapiapi. There are some criteriaof echo-architecture design principle: (1) Low Energy Usage; (2) Responsive to the Climate; and (3) environmentally Friendly. In this High School of Fishery design has 3 principal functions, theyare management, education, and dormitory which applies echo-architecture in order to make High School of Fishery responsive to the environment.Keywords: Bagansiapiapi High School of Fishery, Eco-Architecture, Bahtera Edukasi.
