Abstract

Electric power is the basic human needs in life. Indonesia's electricity mostly served by a stateowned company that we know the name of PT. PLN (Persero), which energy sourced electricity generated from power plants. In the town of Teluk Kuantan Kuantan Singingi source of electrical energy obtained from the substation with an installed capacity of 2 x 30 MVA, in which the high voltage transmission line 150 kV supplied from the substation Kiliranjao West Sumatra Province which consists of 6 (six) Feeder which mostly caters to needs households and industry. Along withthe development of an area, it will have an impact on the amount of electrical energy requirements will result in the distribution channel spacing between plants and consumers increasingly distant. With the longer the distribution channels and the increasing burden on the Feeder will increase power loss which resulted in a fall in voltage. To overcome these problems need to do repair them with the installation of capacitor banks and enlarging the cross sectional area Conductor mediumvoltage air channels. Before the repair needs to be calculated by using the power flow ETAP Software 7.5. After calculating for the combined method between the capacitor bank and enlargethe airway cross-sectional area Conductor medium voltage obtained the lowest percentage of voltage drop at the level of 1.52% and the highest at the level of 4.92% of the voltage sent.Keywords: Voltage drop, feeder distribution network, medium voltage 20 kV

Abstract

The Design of Craft and Culinary Creation Training Center is intended fulfillmentof self-development activities. This design purpose to accommodate and promote handicrafts and culinary typical of the region as a whole and become more independent. Various handicrafts can be promoted outside Kampar District to be known. This approach design uses of Organic Architecture. The approaches are applied partially or completely to the building. Organic architecture takes care of the environment and harmony with the tread. This approach is in accordance with the Training Center for Crafts and Culinary Manufacture which should be close to nature. The materials used for handicrafts and culinary are also materials that come from nature. Nature Building and Of the People are two of the seven basic concepts of Organic Architecture design. Merging the two led to the concept of Nature Building for The People. The Hyacinth flower is a plant that becomes a prominent thing on the site. The shape and several traits of this flower become inspiration in the design of Craft and Culinary Training Center.The floating Hyacinth flower became the inspiration of the floating building design. While the amount of six strands of flower petals transformed into six building masses plus a mass of buildings in the middle as the center. Keywords: Training, Crafts, Culinary, Organic Architecture

Abstract

The Imbalance loads of distribution channel in a power system will contribute to the presence of conductive permanent resistance. Good conductor should not have resistance, but in the reality every object has a resistance to electricity. Therefore it is necessary to do the calculation of the power losses generated by the conductor. In this research power loss calculations use approach method made on the primary distribution system by collecting data from PT.PLN to calculation of power losses absorbed or and generated, namely when the system load. Total power loss that has generated in this study are at 57346,4192 Watt and the percentage of power loss to the average load is equal to 1,047%. When compared with the approach method by Ardi on Feeder Adi Sucipto obtained the result of different amount of power loss because each feeder has different loadKeyword : Loss of power, The Imbalance Load, the primary distribution system

Abstract

The increment of electric energy comsumption causes the transformer to experience a high load and needs to be detected and treated to increase reability and reduce failure. Dielectric strength is one of detection parameter used. The purpose of this research is to analyze dielectric strength of Shell Diala S4 ZX-1 insulating oil based on changes of transformer loading. In this research, breakdown voltage is tested to see the effect of temperature rise due to changes in transformer loadon transformer oil dielectric strength. The relationship between dielectric strength, temperature rise and transformer loading is analyze using correlation and linier regression analyze. The research result strong and positive correlation (r = +0,99) between temperature rise and transformer loading, strong and negative correlation between temperature rise and dielectric strength (r = -0,98), and strong and negative correlation (r = -0,94) between transformer loading and dielectric strength.Keywords : Dielectric strength, transformer loading, liquid insulator

Abstract

Lubuh River which is located in the stems of Rokan Hulu Riau Province is one of the rivers that often have overflow water on rainy season that happen flood. Resolve problems that happened, there is a hydrological modeling to predict debitwith software tools Hydrologic Engineering Center-Hydrologic Modeling System. This research took the case study of Automatic Water Level Recorder station of Pasir Pengaraian in Rokan watershed with the length of the data for six days(May 1, 2012 00:00 to May 6, 2012 23:00). Based on the results calibration using six parameter, then be obtained parameter have sensitivity is greater than the parameter other that is parameter Initial and Constant-Constant Rate because ofchange parameter values 99,64% produce changes volume into 92,8%.Keyword: hydrological modeling, predict debit, calibration, HEC-HMS, sensitivity parameter

Abstract

Power transformer plays a very important role in the electric transmission system to convert the voltage level of the system. An abnormal operation of power transformer can decrease its reliability. The most common cause of abnormal operation in power transformer is oil damage. Markov method is applied using Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) test from transformer oil to determine transformer’s insulation resistance and breakdown voltage. Continuous Markov method is applied to determine steady-state and inntantaneous conditions that occur in the transformer’s oil. Furthermore, Markov process the power transformer must satisfy certain requirements such as lack of memory and stationery or homogeny. After all requirements are met, then the value of each transfer rates and transition times are determined for transformer reliability and availability calculations transition matrix by using rate of failure (λ), rate of improvement (μ), the stead-state value of transition matrix. The sum of all incident condition value, failure rate and rate of improvement are considered as transformer reliability. The result of Markov continuous analysis obtained the transformer reliability for total Dissolved Combustible Gases (TDCG) parameter for initial operation is 0.99 and it decreased to 0.60 after 365 days of operation. The transformer reliability decreased to 39% for 365 days of operation. Furthermore, the transformer availability for duriation of 302 days are considered as good condition for all TDCG gas parameter and not good for 61 days.Keywords : Oil Testing Transformer DGA (Dissolved Gas Analysis), Isolation Resistance and Breakdown Voltage, Markov Continuous Method.

Abstract

Maton House housing has a local fiber access network that uses a duct system and the device feeder are inefficiency. This papper purpose to analyzes the FTTH network at Maton House-Pekanbaru Housing to improve the efficiency of optical transmission, using several parameters such as: power budget link, rise time budget, and optical power. The analysis process is done with some supporting software such as: Optisystem, AutoCad, and Google Earth. Calculation of Optical Power analysis parameters performed by simulation using Optisystem software found the average value of loss is 21.11 and the measurement using Opical Power Meter found the average loss value is 22.50 dBm. According to the acquisition of large optical power on optical transmission in Maton House housing proves the network is much smaller of damping than the standard total that is below -28 dBm based on IEEE at 802.8 .Keywords: FTTH, link power budget, rise time budget, optical power.

Abstract

Induction motors are electric motors are the most widely used in industry, therefore the performance, stability and efficiency of an induction motor is of considerable concern to anticipate disturbances that could lead to a decrease in the age of the induction motor. Motor Current Signature Analysis (MCSA) is one of the most common method used to detect the motor's performance on-line, but the use of this MCSA not give less good results when the load torque is not constant. Modeling the induction motor in a state of no interference derived from mathematical equations with the method of the reference frame stator (stationary reference frame). In this paper, interference with the stator winding is detected by a change in resistance and inductance then and the emergence of sideband frequencies / other at the starting stator current spectrum, then do the phase characteristic approach todiagnosis techniques Fast Fourier Transform (FFT). Analytical results from the use of such techniques show an increase the amount of energy in each frequency band and a large rangeTHD each interruption, so that the motor condition can be known whether normal or damage occurs.Keywords - induction motor, the stator windings, short circuit, Fast Fourier Transform, software matlab

Abstract

Risk is an uncertain condition or event. A risk has a cause and if the risk occurs, there will be consequences so that an identifiable system must be established to reduce it to a minimum to the acceptable limit. The focus of this research is the risk of the construction of Sadira Plaza and Tangram Hotel Pekanbaru. The purpose of the research is to know the risk variables that affect the project and the design formula of risk management strategy. The research step with the distribution of questionnaires consisting of 9 variables or 50 risk indicators compiled with the dichotomy scale to the employees involved in the project is PT. Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk as the contractor and PT.Target Optimal System Solutions as Construction Management Consultant obtained a total of 29 respondents with a valid questionnaire. Then the results of the questionnaire processed by using Cochran Q-Test, obtained 6 variables or 17 indicators that cause project risk. Furthermore, to analyze the fish bone diagram used to see the process of project implementation activities so as to know the root cause of the risk and make the formulation of the risk of development project of Sadira Plaza and Tangram Hotel Pekanbaru.Keywords: Fishbone Diagram, Risk, Dichotomy Scale, Cochran Q-Test

Abstract

Berth B (The pour liquid berth) is one of the berth which has a higher activity in Dumai Harbour. Berth B handling cargo activities dominated by CPO with the amount up to 5 million tons each year and come increasing every year. The increasing amount of CPO, need a project to know the value of visiting ships and the value of BOR in short term. Project value is required to evaluate performance of the port so in the future the berth still being capable to manage activities of cargo handling. Based on results of analysis, the value of BOR in short time projection until 2021 is 82.90%. To fulfill The Standard Of Managing Director Of Marine in 2011, the value of BOR was 70% it could be did by adding the lenghth of berth and increase discharge of the pump. The short time projection in 2021 the Berth should be lengthnened formerly 800 meters become 961 meters. Another solution that could be done without adding the length of berth is increased the discharge of pump. The capacity of pump formerly 200 tons/hour, by increased the discharge into 250 ton/hour the value of a BOR become 62.18%Keywords: harbour, berth, cargo handling of CPO, BOR, projection
