Abstract

The main constraint faced in the utilization of lignocellulosic organic waste is lignin content that is difficult to degrade both enzymatically and chemically. One solution to solve the problem is by composting method with the addition of Trichoderma viride and MOL Tapai. Composting TKKS using windrow method for 40 days. The study was conducted by varying the dosage of Trichoderma viride and MOL Tapai fungi by 50 ml Trichoderma viride, 50 ml MOL Tapai, 25 ml Trichoderma viride + 25 ml MOL Tapai, 35 ml Trichoderma viride + 15 ml MOL Tapai and 15 ml Trichoderma viride + 35 ml MOL Tapai. Measurement of lignocellulose using Chesson-Datta method. The results showed that the pH reached at the end of composting in each reactor was pH 7, the temperature during composting took place at the thermophilic condition with the highest temperature of 660C at R2, R3, and R5, 650C at R1 and R4, water content at the end of composting at each reactor is R1 35,86%, R2 37,67%, R3 37,20%, R4 35,01%, and R5 35,75%, value of C / N ratio at end of composting in each reactor ie R1 14.35, R2 13.22, R3 13.06, R4 14.20, and R5 14.35. The lowest lignocellulose value at the end of each composting was Hemiselulose 13.96% in variation R4 (TKKS + Trichoderma viride (35 ml) + MOL Tapai (15 ml)), Cellulose 14.22% in variation R4 (TKKS + Trichoderma viride (35 ml) + MOL Tapai (15 ml)), and lignin 13.56% in variation R5 (TKKS + Trichoderma viride (15 ml) + MOL Tapai (35 ml)).Keywords : lignocelluloses, Trichoderma viride, MOL Tapai

Abstract

Increased plastic waste has a negative impact on the environment if not further processed, Because plastic waste is nonbiodegradable One method that can be used to process plastic waste is pyrolysis method.The purpose of this study was to observe the effect of process variables (temperature and ratio of PP plastic: PS) to yield and characterization of pyrolysed oil produced. the pyrolysis process is carried out at temperature variations of 300 ° C, 350 ° C, and 400 ° C. And variation of PP plastic ratio: PS 100: 0, 80:20, 60:40 and 50:50 hours 120 minutes And active clay catalyst 1.5% of the raw material. The highest yield was 68.87% at 400 ° C and variation of PP: PS 50:50. Characterization of pyrolysis oil obtained in the form of density 0,761 gr / ml, kinematic viscosity 2,961 cSt, flash point 38oC and calorific value 44,673 MJ / kg are in the range of diesel spesifications.Keywords : active clay , Pyrolysis, polypropylene, polystyrene, , pirolitic oil

Abstract

Laccase is one of the ligninolityc enzymes that capable to degrade lignin. This ability can be used for the pretreatment of lignocellulosic materials in the bioethanol production and lignin degradation in pulp. There are diverse sources of laccase producing like fungi, plants and bacteria. In this research, the production of lacase enzyme using Trichoderma asperellum LBKURCC1 with bioreactor tray using solid state fermentation (SSF) method with rice straw substrate. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of rice straw size and the addition of CuSO4 concentration to the highest production of lacase enzyme by Trichoderma asperellum LBKURCC1. Fermentation is carried out with variation of time 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 days with fermentation temperature ± 30ºC, substrate size ± 0.5 cm, 1.5 cm, and 3.0 cm with substrate thickness at tray ie 3 cm acetate buffer solution pH 5,5 and addition of CuSO4 0.5 g/l. Variations for the addition of CuSO4 concentration 0 g/l, 0.50 g/l and 1 g/l with substrate thickness on tray were 3 cm, size of rice straw 0.5 cm and acetate buffer solution pH 5.5. Small size can provide the highest value and the added concentration of CuSO4 given can increase the activity of the resulting lacase enzyme. However, too high CuSO4 concentrations result in decreased lacase enzyme activity. The results showed that the highest lacase enzyme activity was obtained on the size of rice straw ie 0.5 cm and 7 days of fermentation time with an average of 19.27 U/L and the highest lacase enzyme activity was obtained on CuSO4 0.50 g/l and fermentation time 7 day with an average of 19.27 U/L.Keywords: Inducer, Laccase, Rice straw, Solid state fermentation, Trichoderma asperellum.

Abstract

First and foremost thing in a planning process was completion time in a project management as a basis for the overall planning. Delays on the project completion resulted in an extension of construction time which may result expensive. Project management was very important during the project’s implementation to avoid problems that may lead to losses for both owner and contractor. Problem commonly happened in a project was cost budget and work time that usually exceed the plan. This research is aim to reduce delayed for around 84 days from the estimated time for Nissan’s Office and Workshop Project in Pekanbaru. Work acceleration could be conducted through 3 ways which was overtime addition, adding man power, and working shift system alternative. The only work analyzed was the structural work which experiencing critical path. As a result acceleration cost from overtime alternative was Rp 15.393.542,00. Overtime was taken for 4 hours a day. Adding man power was adjusted to the needs in the field, the result is Rp 25.500.000,00 and acceleration with system shift alternative is Rp 38.940.000,00. The most effective acceleration alternative with minimum cost is overtime addition.Keywords: Project acceleration, delayed, cost, duration, overtime.

Abstract

The city of Pekanbaru is known as an investment destination city. Therefore it is necessary facilities and infrastructure that can support the progress of the city, especially in the field of economy one of them with the development of Pasar Induk Pekanbaru. The development of Pasar Induk Pekanbaru using the system Build Operate Transfer (BOT) where the project is planned for 30 years of operation and after the completion of the operation will be submitted to the city government of Pekanbaru. Project development requires large capital so that research and financing analysis and project funding needs to be done. So the purpose of this study is to analyze the feasibility of financial aspects and to know the occupancy of building units. The investment criteria used are Net Present Value, Benefit Cost Ratio, Internal Rate of Return, Payback Period and also Sensitivity Analysis. The results show that the total market investment amounts to "Rp.111.146.973.858,46". NPV of Rp. 19.660.493.750,74 ", BCR of 1.08, IRR of 15.74% and PP for 15 years 8 months. Overall, the investment project for the construction of Pasar Induk Pekanbaru is feasible to build with aoccupancy of 44.23%. The sensitivity analysis indicates that parameter changes of 10% magnitude can give a significant influence on the feasibility analysis result.Keywords: Financial Analysis, Sensitivity Analysis, Pasar Induk Pekanbaru, The occupansy of building units.

Abstract

Flower has variety of species and shapes. In the flower species recognition, classification is a difficult task because of close shape similarity among different flower classes. Any flowers that have similar shape are usually grouped into the same flower class. However, different species of flowers can have shape that look similar to one another. Lighting conditions and viewpoints when the flower image was taken, also can be varied. All of these circumstances obviously lead to a confusion among the flower classes when flower images of the different flower species that have look similar shape were classified. This research applies the Principal Component Analysis and Backpropagation Neural Network Method in flower species recognition system. Objective of this research is to find out the best flower species recognition that can be used to identify flower image. This research involves 480 flower image data and 8 species of flowers, which consists of 280 training images and 200 testing images. From the results of this research, the Principal Component Analysis and Artificial Neural Network Method shows the good performance of flower species recognition system, with an accuracy average is 97%.Keywords: flower species recognition, Principal Component Analysis, Artificial Neural Network, Backpropagation

Abstract

Households are one sector of the country with 23% energy consumption of total energy in all sectors. In the household there are many electronic devices that consume electricity. This resulted in energy consumption among households to be very wasteful. For that action is required to minimize the consumption of household electrical energy. There are several ways that can be done to overcome this problem, one of which is to conduct a conservation energy audit. This audit is done using LEAP software. The conservation energy audit process is divided into 3 sections, i.e. energy surveys, initial energy audits, and detailed energy audits. The result of conservation energy audits undertaken include loads of 450, 900, 1300 and 2200 KWh. Finally the conclusion of the overall conservation energy audit is shown as follow, there was a 23% decrease in electricity consumption at 450 kWh load, 25% at 900 KWh load, 17% at 1300 KWh load and 20% at 2200 KWh load. from the test result that has been done, the reduction of annual cost is Rp 63,504 at the load of 450 KWh, Rp 110,538 at the load of 900 KWh, Rp 302.259 at 1300 KWh load and Rp 328,773 at the load of 2200 KWh. Abstract

Petai River is the main channel that drains water from most of the drainage in Bangkinang City to Kampar River. The current channel capacity is considered insufficient to drain water, due to frequent flood events occurring at some points of the Petai River. The purpose of this study is to simulate the flood discharge in the existing Petai River cross section, using 10 years return period of flood design. The results of the flood water simulation in HEC-RAS show flooding in Petai 1 and Petai 2 Rivers, but there is no overflow on Petai River 3. Abstract

Orchid grows and estimated has 5.000 species in Indonesia. However, nowdays there are many human activities, inflicting a destruction of ecosystem, which resulting a lessening orchid’s habitat species. Conservation is needed to maintain the continuity of species of orchids. The design of conservation center to be developed is Tropical Orchid Center that serves as nature tourism, education, and research. Since influenced by good climate, the capacity of sunlight, air humidity, and air temperature, the Bioclimatic Architecture will be applied to the design of this Tropical Orchid Center. Abstract

Eggshells modificated of solid base catalyst through calcination, hydration, dehydration methods with iron powder through impregnation method to load calcium oxide with eggshells as precursor. Effect of dehydration temperature and time on the catalytic performance were studied. The catalyst with the highest activity is obtained when the dehydration temperature of 600 °C and the dehydration time of 2 hours under transesterification reaction conditions of a molar ratio of methanol/oil 10:1, catalyst dosage of 1% by weight, temperature of 70 °C for 2 hours with yield biodiesel results reached 90%.Keywords: biodiesel, calcination, calcium oxide, catalysts, dehydration, hydration, impregnation, iron powder, transesterification.
