Abstract

Impurities in peat water in the form of high organic concentrations and dark brown to blackish color that cause negative impact on health if consumed in the long term. This condition encourages the emergence of new studies in peat water treatment. One of them by using natural coagulant with coagulation and flocculation process. In this study will utilize moringa seeds, corn kernels and watermelon seeds in comparing the effectiveness of single natural coagulant and natural coagulant mixture by varying the mass and natural coagulant mixture. The results showed that the parameter of organic matter and color was 107,1 mg / l with mass of 0.5 gr and 76 Pt-Co with mass of 0.5 gr for single natural coagulant of Moringa seed powder, and 201,1 mg / l with mass 0.5 gr and 188 Pt-Co with a mass of 2.0 grams for natural coagulant mixture of moringa and corn powder.Keywords: impurities, organic substances, color, moringa seeds, corn kernels, and watermelon seeds

Abstract

The forest fire disaster a few years back became be a national disaster even at certain times is already reaching out to the country's neighbors. One of the technologies that are used to anticipate forest fires is use Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). Some research related to the anticipation of WSN fires have been used, but still are testing approach and not using a Routing protocols. Research that uses the Routing protocol still using level simulation. On this research will implement Routing protocols in this regard which Directed diffusion Routing protocol (DD). Implementation begins with a gather existing scenarios in the field of data then this scenario will be modeled on c++ programming languages in accordance with the existing features in DD Routing protocol. The scenario that will be modeled include the number of Sensor nodes involved in accordance with their respective role as outlined in the following: the Coordinator will forward the message in accordance with the interest requested by user interest messages sent in the form of broadcast to all nodes that are connected in the Network up towards the node that is closest to the target. Next the node that receives the message of interest will give a response to the Coordinator. Then the Coordinator will establish a communication Network path will be dilaui by the message sender node of the target. From some alternative paths available Coordinator will be finalised the most optimal routes. After the model of the Routing protocols are ready on the Arduino Uno next done testing with Network install using nRF24L01 module. Trial results show the path that is specified by the node parameter obtained efficiency Coordinator for communication in the form of delay and throughput that is considered the most optimal.Keyword : Wireless Sensor Network, nRF24L01, Arduino, Directed diffusion, DHT11, Arduino IDE.

Abstract

The Levels of Mn are metals in the ground water. The high levels of Mn in ground water can be processed using either advanced technology or simple technology. One technology that can be applied to set aside Mn is aeration. Aeration is the addition process of oxygen into the water to make oxidation reaction of Mn which then will cause sediment MnO2. The aim of this research is to study the cascade aerator ability in removing Mn levels in groundwater with variation of discharge 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 ml/s and the addition of activated carbon. Then calculate the value of gas transfer coefficient (KLa) in aeration process using cascade aerator. Mn levels before aeration of 0.4 mg/l for Mn. The results showed that the highest removal efficiency of Mn occurred at optimum discharge 90 ml/s using activated carbon with efficiency of 99,2%. While the lowest efficiency occurred at 50 ml/s discharge without activated carbon with efficiency of 94.6%. As well as the highest gas transfer coefficient value obtained in the experiments of 90 ml/s of 0.046/min.Keywords: aeration, cascade aerator, manganese (Mn), activated carbon, discharge, gas transfer coefficient (KLa)

Abstract

Rhodamine B contributes significantly to environmental pollution, because it is nonbiodegradable, toxic and harmful to the environment. One effort to reduce the amount of Rhodamine B is the adsorption process. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of adsorption temperature, pH, adsorbent mass. Knowing the optimum conditions for reducing the levels of dye in the water, as well as determine the adsorption equilibrium modelsRhodamine B using fly ash oil modified with 1.4 NaOH as an adsorbent. fly ash modification processes are done by mixing fly ash and NaOH in the ratio 1: 4. The adsorption process isconducted by mixing fly ash oil and pH solution of rhodamine B. The optimum conditions for reducing the levels of rhodamine B in water is the adsorbent mass of 5 g/L, temperature of45°C and pH 2. Thermodynamic data such as ΔH, ΔG and ΔS were calculated. And the mechanism of rhodamine B dye adsorption by fly ash oil is dominated by Freundlich isotherm models representing physical adsorption.Keyword: Adsorption, Rhodamine B, Fly Ash, Isothermal Adsorption

Abstract

The gas power plant in Tanjung Datuk has been required in optimal condition, because it has crucial role to supply electricity for Pekanbaru areas. This research purposed to analyze and evaluate the performance of generator machine at gas power plant in Tanjung Datuk. There are two generator machines that always operate for 24 hours, so the maintenance of these machines has been essential to applied. One of maintenance approach is the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM). In this research, the TPM tool to measure effectiveness machine of generator used Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), continued to analyze the OEE six big losses. After that, calculation of Mean Time To Failure (MTTF) and Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) to know the lifespan or maintenance on generator machine especially on AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) component. The results were obtained the OEE value rate of 63.98%, the value of MTTF and need to be treated every 1,688.17 hours, while for the MTTR value of 1.831 hours. To improve the effectiveness of the generator machine has done the maintenance in accordance with the appropriate schedule and implementation of the TPM approach.Keywords: OEE, Generator, TPM, Mean Time To Failure ( MTTF) dan Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).

Abstract

The minimal existing of residences in the city of Pekanbaru is causing the rental price or the selling price of a dwelling unit continues to rise. With the difference of economic ability in each individual, not all the people who are migrants in Pekanbaru city get a place to live. Dense economic growth in downtown Pekanbaru, causing the amount of empty land becomes reduced. Pekanbaru need an affordable solution for a settlement and able to accommodate the density of residents of Pekanbaru city. One of the affordable rental dwelling is a Rusunawa (Rented Simple Public Mansion). This Rusunawa is intended for middle-class people who want to have a fixed residence at a more affordable price. Some facilities that needed in the design of Rusunawa are residential facilities, shared facilities, environmental facilities and supporting/infrastructure facilities. The designing of natural cooling in Rusunawa is by applying 4 elements : wind, space, water & vegetation and building materials. Air circulation in Rusunawa designed to run smoothly because it can maximize the application of natural cooling into the buildings. The application of the concept design is to facilitate Rusunawa with communal space as a means of social interaction among residents. Its application is by making a gathering room, sky bridge and sky plaza, and the building mass into the form of boxes.Kata kunci: Rental house, Rusunawa, Rented Simple Public Mansion, Natural cooling

Abstract

Rice production in Indonesia is affected one of which is infrastructure of irrigation. Irrigation area that was built require Operations and Maintenance in order to function properly. This study aims to evaluate the performance of operation and maintenance on Muara Jalai irrigation system. Some indicators based of Permen PU No.12/PRT/M/2015 was used to determine the performance of the irrigation system such as physical infrastructure, plant productivity, supporting facilities, personnel organization, documentation and water user association (P3A). This result showed that total intex of performance of irrigation system on Muara Jalai is 63,65%. Abstract

In designing a safe car while driving, there are many factors to watch out for, such as the suspension system design. In this research, the design of suspension is limited only to discuss the vehicle front suspension. The suspension design process starts from the selection of suspension type, followed by kinematic simulation using Suspension Analyzer v-2.4 software, and stress analysis simulation using Autodesk Inventor software when the vehicle is in braking and turning condition. The result of kinematic simulation of front suspension using Suspension Analyzer v-2.4 was found the change of camber wheel angle by -0.38o when maximum bump (30 mm) and 0.22o when maximum rebound (-30 mm). And the results of static analysis of front suspension components using Autodesk Inventor obtained minimum safety factor value of 1.96 in braking conditions and 1.58 in turn conditions. It was concluded that the front suspension system was still within safe limits.Keyword : suspension, static analysis, kinematic analysis, safety factor

Abstract

Peat water is a type of surface water that contains natural organic materials, so that cause brownish-colored water, taste and smell, in addition to the color of peat water caused by organic acid. It viewed from quality, peat water has not include the standard of drink water quality standard. Peat water needs treated to be used as a source of clean water and drink water. The adsorption process can be one of the peat water treatment alternatives by utilizing one of agricultural industry waste in the form of biosolid Palm Oil Industry as natural adsorben. The purpose of this research is to know the effect of stirring speed and contact time on colour in peat water. In this study, variations of stirring speeds were used at 90, 120 and 150 rpm and contact time variation at 30, 60, 90 and 120 minutes. The best results at 150 rpm stirring speed and 90 minutes contact time were found to decrease the efficiency of colour degradation is 238,400 mg/g and efficiency decrease equal to 68,703%.Keywords: Peat water, Biosolid, Adsorption

Abstract

Bubula tribe or usually known as Dani tribe is a tribe in Papua, which has an unique culture named mummification culture of family’s member body. It is a rare culture which needs to be preserved. To introduce this culture, video with Augmented Reality (AR) technology is used. Markers is used in a AR technology to distinguish each video will be played. Using technology of Augmented Reality marker / marker based on tracking technology has several stages to develop. Such as, collecting data documentation video from about it’s history obtained from Technical Executing Unit (UPT) Museum Loka Budaya from Universitas Cendrawasih Papua, Indonesia. Cutting and compressing video size, designing marker and uploading marker, designing application interface, designing Augmented Reality technology into Android package format (APK). To design are next steps need to be done this application need some tools Unity 3D, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premier, Vuforia SDK, and Android SDK were needed. This research produces applications based on Android using Augmented Reality Technology (AR) as a media to display video.
