Abstract

Irrigations networks in irrigations areas of Sei Paku have a very low efficiency value due to the exploitations of fish ponds and recreations ponds. Exploitations activities on the upstream is watering fish ponds and recreatiol ponds that’s effect is water loss, so make deffeclency water at downstream areas. Result water loss on the flow influence at primary flow. Efficiency analysis flow use to know efficiency primary flow. Topographic data, speed flow, and dimensions of channel are needed to analyze the value of primary flow efficiency existing in the field. Efficiency analysis is done by directly measurement in the area as much as 5 periods. Based on the analysis results that the biggest water loss at T45 – T61 segmen as much Qt = 0.0960021 m3/second and smallest water loss at T91- T101 segmen as much Qt = 0.0000007 m3/second. The efficiency of the existing pyrene channel in the field is 9.41%.Keywords : Irrigations Areas Sei Paku, waterloss, and efficienc.

Abstract

Art Painting School with Contemporary Architecture Approach is a place to learn and understand art of painting so that it can be accepted and developed in the community. As with art of painting, contemporary architecture continues to grow over time. With the same characteristics, contemporary architecture can convey building functions properly. To be able to show the art of painting in thebuilding a transparent concept is applied with the aim of using it to be able to understand and learn painting directly. The research method used includes field data collection, literature study and empirical studies. The results of this study can design buildings that are good and in accordance with the functions and principles of Contemporary Architecture, namely a solid building, the concept of open space, suitability of outer and inner space, comfort and landscape exploration.Key Words: School, Painting, Transparent, Contemporary

Abstract

Drinking water is a qualified health water and it can be drink directly. Water drinked demand consist of domestic and non domestic or also known as the amounth of water reasonably necessary for basic human need and for other activity which need water. Water drinking demand in Balai Panjang village and Limbukan village are count base on population projection use four methods and the elected is geometric method. From the counting result, prediction of population in both the village until 2021 reach 4.536 people, which is in this plan, all of citizen will underserved with water drinking by house connecting type. Total of water demand average in both of village are 3,780 ltr/sec with rate of water loss are 20%. So, total water drinking demand in Balai Panjang village and Limbukan village until 2021 reach 4,536 ltr/sec.Keywords: Air Minum, Kebutuhan Air Minum, Pertumbuhan Penduduk, Proyeksi Geometri.

Abstract

Analysis of hydrological data is needed to determine the rainfall characteristics that suitable to space and time. Analysis of hydrological data can interpret the possibility of an upcoming event based on the data from the past. This interpretation uses probability distribution. The probability distribution that commonly used is Gamma Distribution, Exponential Distribution, Normal Distribution, Normal Log Distribution, Gumbel Distribution, and Log Person III Distribution. The purpose of this study was to choose the probability distribution based on Akaike Information Criterion (AIC) and to determine its compatibility with the Chi Square test and the Smirnov Kolmogorov test. The maximum likelihood value of each data distribution is evaluated by AIC value. The distribution that has the smallest AIC values were re-tested with Chi Square test and Smirnov Kolmogorov test. The results showed that in the Siak River Basin, Normal Distribution has the smallest AIC value with AIC value -2.203 for Buatan Station, -2.486 for Kandis Station, -2.939 for Pekanbaru Station and -3.184 for Petapahan Baru Station. However, Normal Distribution can not be accepted as the best distribution according to Chi Square test and Smirnov Kolmogorov test.Keywords: Akaike Information Criterion (AIC), Probability Distribution, Chi Square test, Smirnov Kolmogorov test

Abstract

Bioplastics are an alternative material to replace conventional plastic packaging so as not to pollute the environment. One method of modifying bioplastics is the acetylation method which is a modified starch method obtained from reacting starch with hydroxyl groups to produce hemiacetal and aldehyde. This study aims to make modified bioplastics with better tensile strength than ordinary bioplastics. The analysis performed was FTIR test, substitution degree test, and mechanical properties of tensile strength. The best results from each test are the value obtained by the value of the substitution degree 0,992, FTIR at the vibration for the wavelength range 1633 - 1645 cm-1, the tensile strength value of 1,893 MPa bioplastically penetrated the decay results of the methylated starch and 12 % filler content b / b and 10 % plasticizers b / b.Keywords : acetylation, bioplastic, acetylated starch, acetylated bioplastic

Abstract

Stress can be measured using a strain gauge sensor. Strain gauge will experience change in resistance when the objects are tied with strained. The magnitude of the difference in resistance on the strain gauge is proportional to the strain on the object. In this study, using a device for strain gauge signal reading from materials that are cheap and easily found in the Indonesian market, including Arduino (as data acquisition) and INA 125P (as signal amplifiers). Stress measurements performed on Aluminum plates use the bending load like the cantilever beam with dimensions of 150 mm long, 50 mm wide, 2 mm thick. The measurement results obtained have the biggest difference with the theoretical calculation method which is 5,32%, while when compared with the simulation method the biggest difference is 8,03%.Keyword : Strain gauge, INA 125P, cantilever beam, bending load.

Abstract

The growing of automotive industry along with the increasing need for tire production cause to many waste tire. To solve this problem, many innovative solution have been proposed, namely the use of rubber tires as an added material in the manufacture of concrete mixture This is due to its flexible nature so as to increase the ductility of concrete. This research aims to study how compressive strength of mortar are resistant to high temperatures with materials added to waste tire used in powder form. Variations in the content of rubber powder used were 0%, 2.5%, and 5% of the weight of cement. Mortar was burned at temperatures of 250ºC, 500ºC, and 750 ° C for 3 hours. The results of the research and compressive strength with room temperature showed that OPC with the addition of 5% rubber powder had the highest compressive strength of 18.20 MPa. But when the mortar experienced a temperature higher than 250 ° C, the mortar strength decreased by 10%, with the addition of tire rubber powder as much as 5% with a compressive strength of 15.92 MPa, making the mortar had a better compressive strength than without the addition of powder rubber. Moreover the optimum temperature in mortar testing was at a temperature of 500 ° C with 5% rubber powder mixture. OPC mortars that were burned at 500 ° C and 750 ° C experience a hair cracking the mortar surface.Keywords:, Rubber powder, mortar, OPC, high temperature.

Abstract

Over the function land and the distribution of vegetation in the sub-DAS Galugua give the phenomenon of erosion and sedimentation of land that is not balanced. Model USLE with the help of SIG in use to predict his large erosion and sedimentation of the land. erosion results show the erosion that occurs on the sub-DASGalugua classified in low-grade between 15 to 16 tons/ha/year. the total erosion occurs in sub-DAS Galugua of 4.850,98 tons/year smaller than the value of the transport capacity that is 132.590,76 tons/year, So all the results of erosion transported enter into river and not going on his sedimentation of the land in the sub DAS Galugua.Keywords: land conversion, sedimentation, land erosion, USLE, SIG.

Abstract

The machines with rotating shaft on the highest level of rotation which is until 3000 rpm like turbine will be dangerous if there’s an unbalance occur while working out. The low unbalance mass with high rotation shall also cause so high centrifugal force that the bearing would be broken easily. It severely damages all systems. Universal balancing testing machine is one of the alternatives used to detect the machine damages with various dimensions. It also can detect some other broken components by measuring the vibration without any physical contact to the machines. The universal balancing testing machine design uses VDI 2222 method by deciding product concept from various ones which are created then developed into a product. From this design, it gives a static analysis result from analytic and finite element methods. The results are the shaft diameter sized 15.12 mm, and the value of stress analysis for base bearing for maximum voltage is 6.6 MPa. It could be classified into the safe one as the voltage is smaller than material license which is in the amount of 180 MPa with safety factor in 27.Keywords: unbalance, VDI 2222, Analytic method, Finite Element Method

Abstract

Decreased levels of iron (Fe) in ground water still be a challenge, one of simple that can be applied to set aside the iron (Fe) content in the ground water that is aerated. This research aims to study the ability of cascade aerator in setting aside the iron content in ground water and calculate the value of coefficient of gas transfer. With the flow variation of 70, 80, 90 ml/s and time variation 120 minutes, 180 minutes and 240 minutes. The levels of Iron (Fe) before aeration is equal to 1,8 mg/l. The results of the research show the efficiency of the iron (Fe)content of the highest occurs at discharge of 90 ml/s and the best time 120 minutes with the efficiency value is equal to 94,4%. The value of the coefficient of gas transfer lines obtained in experiment 70 ml/s of 0,064/minutes.Keywords: aeration, cascade aerator, iron (Fe), flow, time, the coefficient of gas transfer (KLa)
