Abstract

Structural dysfunction will occur on the road such as cracks after passing the design life that can reduce the safety and comfort to the rider through it. It can be fixed by adding overlay. This research was conducted on road sections of Rangau - Duri Bengkalis Regency Riau Province. The purpose of this study is to calculate the overlay thickness using Pd T-05-2005-B method based on the deflection data obtained by using Benkelman Beam. Other than that is to calculate the resilient modulus and stability of the pavement with pick up first the stations that have good subgrade based the deflectometry have been made. This study generate overlay thickness from 4 cm to 13 cm with the design life of 5 years. While with the design life of 10 years, generated overlay thickness from 4 cm to 13.1 cm. Asphalt resilient modulus values obtained is from 1201.95 to 2403.90 Mpa and the stability value is from 1151.29 kg/0.01 in to 2302.59 kg/0.01 in.Keywords: Overlay thickness, Design Life, Pd T-05-2005-B Method, Deflectometry, Resilient modulus, Stability.

Abstract

Wind is one of the energy that can be utilized as a power plant that can be developed in Indonesia. Wind speeds can change at any time result in wind turbine rotation and changes to voltage; therefore, a system that is able to monitor the changes that occur is required. The system used as a data storage is data logger. The data to be stored is data from how big the speed of the wind is and how much generator voltage generates. The wind speed will be detected by the anemometer sensor, and the voltage from the rectified AC generator to DC will be detected by the voltage sensor. Both sensors will be tested by comparing the results with digital wind speed measuring instruments and voltmeter, the result of the comparison yields 96.7% for the voltage sensor and 97% for the anemometer sensor based on simulation of 5 test data. The system uses arduino uno as data processing from anemometer sensor and voltage sensor. This data will be sent via GSM Shield and will be stored in the SQL database, and this data will also be stored on the SD card as backup storage if the signal from GSM is unstable. Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) is a concept to exchange data through the internet with objects that can be controlled remotely. Oyster mushrooms are white mushrooms that have a curved shape and have nutritional value that is rich in protein, vitamins, carbohydrates andminerals. Problems that occur in Omah Cendawan often experience crop failure, caused due to lack of care such as maintaining temperature, humidity and pests that attack oyster mushrooms.This system was designed to help oyster mushroom farmers to find out the temperature and humidity of the oyster mushroom. The tools used in this study consisted of ESP8266, DHT22,LCD, power bank. DHT22 is used to detect temperature and humidity of the air by sending notifications to farmers through the blynk application. The thingspeak.com is used to viewmonitoring data from sensors. The test results show, the time needed to be able to send notifications blynk about 1-3 seconds, while the time needed to send and receive data to thingspeak.com about 30 minutes. Abstract

Watershed management can be divided into five criteria, namely land use, water system, social, economic and institutional. The study describes the water management criteria in thesub-watershed of Pasir Pangaraian station, with indicators namely water utilization index and water quality. The research objective is to analyze the results of the parameters under study, and determine the classification of these parameters based on the Director General's Regulation on Land Rehabilitation and Forestry: P.04 / V-SET / 2009. In this study, the analysis and calculation stages of the river water system are carried out with indicators of river water discharge. The results showed that the water utilization index (IPA) was categorized as good with a value of 2,4x10-5 and water quality from year 2014-2017 is categorized as good. From the results of these two parameters, the criteria for the watersystem in the sub-watershed of Pasir Pangaraian station are classified as good.Keywords: Stream System, Water utilization Index and Water Quality.

Abstract

In the Air Conditioning engine, the resulting cooling effect is used to cool the room and the heat effect that is simply thrown into the environment. While, the Hybrid Residential Air Conditioning machine is utilizes the cooling effect and the simultaneous heating effect of the refrigeration machine. Chiller is a cooling system that uses cooling media (water or brine) and HCR-22 as a working fluid. The purpose of this study is to determine the consumption of electrical energy, by using standby mode method with 1000 Watt cooling load in this research got the average value Coefficient Of Performance (COP) of 2.471, average value Performance of Factor(PF) of 3.43, average value Total of Performance (TP) of 5.90. For the average temperature in the cooling chamber is 28.20 0C, the average temperature in the heating chamber is 44.64 0C, with an average compressor power of 1.2680 kW and electricity consumption in 2 hours of working of 2.5359 kWh.Keywords: Air Conditioning, Hybrid Residential, Chiller, Performance, Temperature, Compressor, Electricity.

Abstract

Photovoltaic system serves to convert solar energy into electrical energy or DC voltage. This study aims to test and observe the absorption of solar intensity by photovoltaic panels atvarious angles of the slope. The photovoltaic panel absorbs the maximum solar intensity if the photovoltaic panel is perpendicular to the coming sunshine. The method used to determine theangle of the photovoltaic panel is by observing the voltage and current values of the photovoltaic panel output. The Testing has been conducted with several variations of slope angles, namely; at an angle of 30 °, 40 °, and 50 °. From the results of tests and observations, it has been found that the absorption of solar intensity with maximum power (66 watts) occurs at the slope angle of 40 °.Keywords: slope angle, solar energy, solar absorption, photovoltaic

Abstract

Sei Guntung Traditional Market is a market in the form of wooden tents selling on Yos Sudarso road in the form of dams and also on the banks of the Kateman River. This resulted in the road becoming narrow and the occurrence of congestion and pollution of the river due to the actions of the traders. Therefore, a new container for merchants is needed that is neatly and cleanly arranged. This development also pays attention to the standards of market health requirements and the dominant aspects of waterfront architecture and its elements. The design method used is the results of field surveys, documentation, analysis of qualitative data and quantitative data. The results of this design apply the concept of pompong analogy. The shape of the building in the form of pompong is the result of the application of pompong elements and waterfront architectural themes. This design utilizes the potential of the river as a river transportation service, sitting park, and foodstall. Abstract

Geopolimer is a synthesis of organic polymers with high concentrated alkaline activator reacting with SiO2 and Al2O3 in fly ash. Geopolimer can reduce the use of OPC and reducing solid waste (fly ash) the result of burning oil palm shells in the industry’s oleokimia at Riau Province. This research aims to make the fly ash-based factory geopolimer palm oil is obtained from PT. Bangun Tenera Riau (PT. BTR) with the addition of graphene as a fillerand determine the influence of the concentration of graphene and graphene weight ratio against the compressive strength, porosity, and morphological properties of geopolimer. The making of geopolimer include the preparation of fly ash and sand and then continued with the creation of alkaline activator (KOH + sodium silicate) with variation concentration ofgraphene 10 mg/ml, 20 mg/ml, 30 mg/ml, as well as the weight ratio of graphene 0 %wt, 0.1 %wt, 0.4 %wt, and 0.7 %wt. Raman Spectroscopy Analysis of graphene shows graphene produced during the process turbulance assisted shear exfoliation (TASE) is a few layer graphene (FLG). XRD analysis showed the highest intensity of graphene on geopolimer is1849.26 cts on 25.4112 °. The SEM analysis showed the increasing graphene, closer the structure of geopolymer. The value of compressive strength in addition concentrations of graphene 30 mg/ml and weight ratio of graphene 0.7 wt% i.e. 10.8 MPa with an increasingcompressive strength 74.19%. The value of the lowest porosity on the concentration of graphene 30 mg/ml and weight ratio of graphene 0.7% i.e. 5.92%.Keywords : fly ash, geopolimer, graphene, OPC, TASE

Abstract

Precipitated silica can be synthesised from Palm Mill Oil Fly Ash (POMFA) by alkali extraction combined with sol-gel precipitation. Sodium hydroxide were used to extract silica from POMFA to produce sodium silicate. Silica was precipitated using CO2, the effect of CO2 flow rate and temperature on the precipitation process were studied. The CO2 flow rate of 100, 200, 300 and 400 mL/min and temperature of 60.70, 80, 90oC were used at the precipitation process, to enhance the characteristic of precipitated silica obtained, dispersant PEG-400 5% (v/v) was added. The CO2 flow rate was stopped when the silica began to precipitate and the stirring speed increase up to 1000 RPM for 90 minutes. Silica obtained, was separated from the filtrate using filter paper, washed with hot distilled water and then dried. The maximum yield of 81.01% was obtained at temperature of 70oC and a flow rate of 200 mL/min. The precipitated silica was characterised using XRF to determine silica composition and XRD to determine wether the precipitated silica is in amorphous form. Abstract

Temperature changing has affected to the electrical load consumption. It has considered in the calculation of short-term load forecasting. In this study, ANFIS method was used to forecast short-term load using historical data of electrical load and temperature. From the testing process, the MAPE value has obtained during the procces for daily bunch from Monday to Sunday and Public Holiday is included, i.e. 8.567%; 5.013%; 5.341%; 4.214%; 7.741%; 6.635%; 6.875% and0.022689%, respectively.
