Abstract

Health is the most important part of human life. Once function of human’s organs is disrupted, it might cause many diseases to be suffered. Diabetes Mellitus is a disease caused by increasing blood sugar levels (glucose) in human body. Moreover, Diabetes Mellitus is well identified as one of that causes deatht of people in the world. To reduce mortality, an appropriate preventive action is needed. Furthermore this research is intended to help the society in diagnosing early Diabetes Mellitus. This Expert System application is implemented on the Android platform. The method used is the Bayes Theorem and expert knowledge from internal medicine specialists. The diagnosis process of this Expert System is by selecting the symptoms experienced. As a result, the system calculate the possible value of the symptoms and displays the percentage of the Diabetes types as well as a solution or prevention that can be done. Abstract

The distribution of electrical power from the power plant to the center of the load on the transmission line can occur the electrical fault. This fault that often occurs is a transient overvoltage caused by a direct lightning stroke. Lightning stroke can cause the lightning impulses which are the dominant factor in generating the transient over voltages on 150 kV overhead lines compare to the high voltage cable lines. This investigation studied the effect of lightning stroke on the 150 kV mixed transmission lines using the ATP-EMTP (Alternative Transient Program – Electromagnetic Transient Program) software . The data analysis is carried out by simulating all line parameters and evaluating the transient overvoltage value on the transmission lines. It is shown that the highest transient overvoltage occurs when the lightning strikes on the ground static wires compared to when the lightning strikes on the phase wires. It is also shown that the use of the 150 kV mixed-lines can decrease the overvoltage caused by the direct lightning stroke. The installation of arresters on the transmission towers provides a significant reduction in over voltage caused by lightning stroke.Keywords : arrester, ATP-EMTP, lightning, mixed transmission lines, transient over voltage.

Abstract

Peatland fires in Indonesia occur almost every year with an ever-increasing area. Factors affecting peat drought and fire are the high and low ground water level of the peat, for this reason it is necessary to review how high the peat water level can cause a fire so that it can be used as an early warning before peatland fires occur. This study created a hydrological model using regression analysis to predict groundwater levels in peatlands which were then verified using correlation coefficients. The data used were obtained from the SESAME tool namely rainfall data and water surface data recorded in time series per 10 minutes. The hydrological model is carried out with several variations of data usage periods to get the best value. The results showed the use of data for the period July 2017 - December 2017 got the best correlation coefficient value of 0.86, while the use of data for the period February 2018 - July 2018 obtained the lowest correlation coefficient value of 0.15.Key words: Fires, hydrological models, regression analysis, peatland

Abstract

The green open space is one of an effort in order to handling of the increasing the greenhouse gas emission, because green open space has an ability to absorbing the CO2 emission. The purpose of this research is to find out the potential of absorption capacity of CO2 by the public’s green open space and to analyze the level of absorption of CO2 by green open space from transportation activity. The method in this research is calculate the value of CO2 emissions and counting the trees which has diameters more than 20 centimeter. The sufficiency of green open space was analyze and then compared the absorbing power of CO2 by trees with number of CO2 emissions that produced. Tampan district is produced the CO2 emissions from transportation which is high enough as much as 2.102.614.367 kilograms CO2/year. While the ability of CO2 absorption by the public’s green open space in Tampan district only 7.979.245,86 kilograms CO2/year. The result of analysis show that the public’s green open space in Tampan district that viewed from absorbing CO2 emissions of transportation is still not enough with percentage is only about 0,38%.Keywords: Green Open Space, Co2 Emissions, and Greenhouse Gas

Abstract

Lampa Strait Passenger Harbour in Natuna is a transportation amenities connecting Natuna Island with its surrounding area. The terminal building is unavailable in existing harbour. This design background is the increase of passengers and good tourism potential. The design of Lampa Strait Passenger Harbour do by combining the harbour function as a node of sea transportation network with tourism as an attraction to bring tourists as well as utilizing the harbour as a destination. The concept use in this design is sparkling in the ocean. This design is expected to accommodate tourism and transportation activities. The application concept in the design of Lampa Strait Passenger Harbour is in transportation and tourism activities that will be supporting each other which includes on the zone function between tourism and harbour, the vegetation, the circulation, the interior order, the outdoor space arrangement, form of the mass come from the result of design concepts elaboration, mass arrangements on interconnected treads, convenient utilities for users, building facades, and landscape arrangement, all of these aplication is to attract the tourist curiosity and passenger comfort.Keywords: Passenger Harbour, Transportation, Tourism

Abstract

Energy demand is increasing due to population growth and technological advances. Fossil energy of coal as fuel for Steam Power Plant (PLTU) is still widely used in various countries around the world because it provides human needs in large numbers. Coal burned in steam power plant produces a number of harmful pollutants such as NOx and SO3 which are the main causes of acid rain and particle pollution in the air. Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is technology to convert low temperature heat into the form of mechanical energy which can then be utilized to generate electrical energy without using fossil fuels. Heat exchangers used in ORC are evaporators and condensers. Refrigerant R134a used as working fluids. Experiments were performed to determine the performance of the ORC system with the temperature heat source of 95 ⁰C. Data collected in the form of temperature, pressure and volume flow rate. Experimental results obtained a maximum power of 279.58 Watt and maximum efficiency of 3.33 % at turbine inlet pressure 1.25 MPa and turbine inlet temperature of 67.76 ⁰C.Keywords: Organic Rankine Cycle, R134, Performance Analysis.

Abstract

The Research has been conducted to determine the the noise’s intensityfrom operational activities originating from generating machines at PT. RiauPower Unit PLTG / U Teluk Lembu Pekanbaru with the Grid method. Workerswho are constantly exposed to noise have the potential to affect workers' healthand comfort. The purpose of this study was to determine the intensity of noisegenerated by the generator engine, the length of exposure time, mapping the noisedistribution patterns, and noise control efforts. The noise measurement methodrefers to the noise mapping method and the instrument used is a Sound LevelMeter (SLM). The measurement of sound pressure level took place for 1 day. Theresults showed that from 97 measurement spots there were 40 spots indicatingnumbers that exceeded the quality standard. The highest loudness level is 106.1dB where this spot located very close from the noise source, and the lowestloudness level is on 59.5 dB where the distance is quite far from the noise source.The planned noise control attempt is by using noise barrier (naturally orartificially), isolate the machines, machine care, the administration management,and the human resource management by applying a vertical garden to the officebuilding.Keywords : Noise , Noise Mapping, PLTG/U

Abstract

This research develops a method for determaining catenary sag and tension analysis on 275 kV transmission line conductors. Catenary method is a function of the weight equation conductor, wires maximum tensile stress, long-span, and the maximum sag of the conductor. Processing methods was is used to determaine the value of the sag and tension with the design of the model using statistical software AutoCAD, as well as determining the value of sag and tension of the influence of temperature conductor due to the current flow and ambient temperature using data conductor types A1/SA1A (ACSR/AS), the results of this research for the same tower height is obtained sag of 6.86 m, with a value of 4610.83 kg tension and conductor length of 401.06 m, while sag value for the tower which is placed at the high of 35.22 m, and sag for tower which is placed on the lower section of 0.48 m, the value of tension obtained for towers placed at a high part is 4657 kg while the tension value for towers placed in the lower part is 4600.75 kg, and the value change in conductor length by 401,882 m. Any increase in the current then sag value will increase, when the minimum current generated sag value of 6.8621 m, when the maximum current the resulting sag value increases to 8.31 m. While the value of tension obtained will be reduced, when the minimum current value of the tension is 4610,538 kg, when the maximum current value of tension is 3811,159 kg, Any increase in ambient temperature sag value will increase, when the minimum temperature is 20℃ the resulting sag value of 6.8621 m then when the maximum temperature is 40℃ the resulting sag value increased to 7.793492 m, While the value of the tension will decrease, when the minimum temperature value amounted tension 20℃ 4610.538 kg, when the maximum temperature is 40℃ tension value of 4062.345 kg.Keywords: ACSR, Catenary, Sag, Tension, Transmission Line.

Fire incident an accident resulting in highly detrimental both for companies, workers, and for the benefit of national development. Fire protection systems must be planned from the start simultaneously with the planning of the building constructions because of the fire protection system can not be separated from the construction of buildings. The amount of losses caused by fire sue various parties, especially the manager of an industry to perform calculations on the cost of the fire protection system maintenance on a regular basis that the warmth of the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) and international standards, namely the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). Based on the analysis and calculation of the percentage fees for fire protection construction projects and Sadira Plaza Hotel Tangram Pekanbaru City is 3% of the contract value. While the cost of maintenance for 1 year is Rp. 847 384 814 and the cost of maintenance of fire protection for 20 years amounting to Rp. 16,947,696,297.00Key words: fire, fire protection systems, national development, maintenance costs, construction of buildings.

Abstract

Project management so important for implementation a project for avoid problem that can create disadvantages for owner or contractor, one of the problems that commonly occur in a project is a estimated cost and timework isn’t fit with the planning. project construction The Construction Project of Regional Work Units Pekanbaru City Government Office late 75 days from contract duration. Work can more fast with 3 ways, alternative overtime work, alternative add more manpower and equipment, and alternative shift system. only work with critical path is working in. analysis result obtained cost of construction acceleration that caused by overtime alternative is Rp. 18,660,148.32, overtime implemented for 3 hours in a day. Workers and equipment additional alternative that adjusted by field requirement result is Rp 30,422,011,240.30 and shift alternative with day and night shift had equal productivity, with construction acceleration that caused by shift alternative is Rp 22,479,247,709.57. In conclusion, the most effective construction acceleration method is overtime alternative, obtained the minimum financial loss and recommended to use for the construction acceleration.Keywords : Management, delay, cost, duration, overtime, work equipment and workers additional.
