Abstract

Landslides are ones of disasters which oftenly occurred in Indonesia. This research aims to analyze some slope reinforcements which are modeled by using a based finite element method software, i.e. plaxis v.8.2. As initial data, slope`s dimension was measured from real field, and soil samples were taken to obtain the soil properties. Those data were used as input parameters in modeling. The slope was modeled in several conditions, i.e. existing condition, variation of ground water table, reinforcement with backfill model, terraces model, and soil nailing model. The results shown that safety factor has decreased due to the increment of ground water table. The highest safety factor was reached when the slope was reinforced with soil noiling model, with the magnitude of 2,044.Keywords : landslides, finite element method, soil nailing, safety factor.

Abstract

Content Creator Community Center in Pekanbaru is a place of all activities in the digital and social media fields for content creators. The existence of the Content Creator Community Center in Pekanbaru is supported development of the current digital era and people's interest in digital content, this is reinforced by the formation of a community of creators and the development of a business start-up through digital media in Pekanbaru. Content Creator Community Center has the main function as a means of community, production, and social activities as a meeting place. This studies uses the Renzo Piano design principle which creates a building that has aspects of the interaction between the building, nature and its users through the design principles of the Renzo Piano. Through the design concept of Connected buildings demonstrate to three aspects of design with the principles of Renzo Piano so that they can realize the characteristics and functions of the building as a forum for community, production, and social activities. keywords : Pekanbaru, Content Creator Community Center, Renzo Piano

Abstract

Textile industries in Indonesia have been growing year by year and have an important role in economic system. However, their enhancement raises environmental pollution because of their dye wastes. Either small-scale or large-scale contamination have massively spoiled some rivers in Indonesia, such as Ciliwung, Cisadane, and Bengawan Solo. Therefore, a special method like photocatalytic is highly needed to handle it. Photocatalytic method is able to degrade dyes quickly by producing hydroxyl radical (•OH) as a strong oxidant. One of the best photocatalysts to use is covalent triazine framework (CTF) with copper (Cu) as catalyst doping synthesized by using an ionothermal method. Abstract

Mall is one of the right choice to be applied in Dumai city because, the increase of population income resulted in higher consumption level, especially with the changing lifestyle of people whotend to spend money to spend and also doing recreation activities. The design approach used to solve design problems is the Tangible Metaphor approach, which is used in planning and designingthe overall expression of the building design. In addition, the application of the concept of building design is also supported by local potentials located in Dumai city, a special feature that reflects the peculiarity that is only found in the city of Dumai. Mall on architecturally is a recreation room and shopping center consisting of shopping complexes where there are buying and selling activities as well as exchange of goods and services as well as tourist attractions and recreation. Abstract

The availability of wood in Indonesia is increasingly limited due to forest degradation and increased demand for wood. One of the efforts to reduce the use of wood directly is to develop the manufacture of Wood Plastic Composite (WPC). WPC consists of matrix, filler, and additives such as compatibilizer and initiator which is useful to increase the value of the mechanical properties and physical properties of the WPC. This study aims to determine the effect of maleic anhydride (MAH) compatibilizer with Dicumyl peroxide (DCP) initiator on the properties and morphology of WPC produced, and determine the effect of palm frond (SPS) / HDPE powder ratios on the properties and morphology of WPC. SPS composition is 80mesh and polyethylene is 50:50, 60:40, 70:30 with 3%, 4%, 5% MAH additive mixture, 1% DCP and 2% paraffin. The palm fronds were prepared using oxalic acid at 120ºC with 15 minutes soaking. The process of mixing filler, matrix, and additives using Labo Plastomill internal mixer at 150ºC and 80 rpm rotor speed. Composites produced were tested including physical properties, mechanical properties and morphological tests. The results showed that the mixing ratio of SPS / HDPE and the addition of compatibilizer affected the value of physical properties and mechanical properties of the WPC. The best WPC material was obtained in the mixing ratio of SPS/PE (50/50) with the addition of 5% MAH with 26.631 MPa tensile strength, 2106.4 MPa MOE, 51.23 MPa flexural strength, 1.16 gr / cm3 density, 0.92% water absorption, and 0.17% absorption thickness.Keywords: maleic anhydride, palm frond, polyethylene, wood plastic composite

Abstract

Domestic waste water is one of the main cause of river pollution. Grey water gives about 75-90% the pollution of surface water. The treatment that can be done is to use biomass, one of which is microalgae Chlorella sp. In this Study, the addition of biocarriers made from plastic straws as a medium for attaching microorganism using MBBR process. The variation is diameter of biocarrier that is 0,5 inch, ¾ inch, and 1inch which inserted into the reactor with working volume of 3 liters, air supply 4 liters/minute, the volume of biocarrier is 30% of the reactor volume, and the contact time is 0,1,3,5,7 days. The result of the study, obtained the best removal for 67.3% COD, 83.27% TSS on the reactor filled with biocarrier 0.5 inch on day 7. Abstract

The increasing number of people in the new Pekanbaru city caused land ordinance changes,resulting ina reduction of water in the region so that when rainfall increased and drainage capacity were not optimum, surface could be impended. A region that had similar problems in 2017 Mangga Raya Residence is severe surface runoff asa result of rainfall according to the fact that in September to Desember ,reducing existing housing to a level was reduced because the nonoptimum cotton wedges in the study were done in order to minimize the surface runoff in the region,building receipts for each housimg to reduce runoff and in an effort to raise water from the calculation and imaging of the planning of the resply wells from 1 m(8m) in diameter,it is a maximum diameter of the requirements for the planning of the picket wells issued by SNI-2017 and permeable value permeable bags 0,0000556 m/dtk. The permeable wells is divided into 2 wells for 1 house with 4 meters each in depth ,according to what is named in a SNI-8456-2017,a well and a water repellate trench after your plan the charge that comes out to 0,88 m³/dt is draining his discharge out of neither more than drainage capacity 0,9 m³/dt.fees needed to be spent for the gouging wlls with a depth of 8 m are devided into 2 in 1 house is Rp.9.570.193. Abstract

Palm oil mill effluent continues to grow along with palm oil production in Indonesia. Palm oil mill effluent treatment has been using anaerobic ponds which are not efficient due to the require large areas of land and due to greenhouse gases because they produce CO2. Electrocoagulation is an alternative technology and advanced technology in treating palm oil mill effluent. Electrocoagulation is a method of coagulation using direct current through the electrochemical process. This research discusses the variation of voltage and flow rate using reactor methods with pollutant parameters such as biological chemical demand, chemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids and acidity (pH). The type of electrodes used is aluminum with voltage variations of 5, 7 and 9 volts and flow rate variations of 3,36; 4,32; and 7,5 L/hour. The sample used came from PTPN V Sei Galuh in Riau. The results obtained by the highest percentage of reduction in BOD were 84.76%; COD of 83.38%; TSS of 88.73% at a voltage of 9 volts and a flow rate of 3,36 L/hour. The results of this research are in accordance with the standard quality standards for palm oil mill effluent in the Minister of Environment Regulation number 5 of 2014. Abstract

This study examines variations in the initial time of observation based on the Hijri calendar which aims to determine the most accurate time to make observations in the field. The analysis of this research used the Admiralty method with hourly observation data for 15 days. The data uses tide data in Kotabaru waters and simulated against two hundred and forty-three time variations. The results of the data analysis show that the smallest average root mean square error (RMSE) resulting from the 15-day tide prediction is 16.68 cm, which is the prediction of the start date of the 16 Hijri calendar. So that the most appropriate time to make tidal observations in the field for tidal predictions in Kotabaru waters is on the 16th of each Hijri month or during the fourth moon phase (humpback month). The value of the formzhal number obtained is 0.66, so the tidal type in the study location is included in the semi-diurnal tide type classification.Key words: beginning time, admiralty method, RMSE.

Abstract

The implementations of high voltage electricity in various fields, one of it leads to eco friendly technology known as plasma technology. The use of plasma technology is utilized in the production process of advanced nano-sized materials. Plasma can be generated by the corona discharge method which is generally used as a method of generating plasma supplied with highvoltage or also known as high voltage plasma generators. The limitation of high voltage generation becomes a barrier in generating high voltage plasma, because the high voltage generator exist is still in a large scale. So, it needs a high voltage plasma generator in a laboratory-scale. In this research, high voltage plasma generators will be designed using two flybacktransformers with half-bridge inverter using MOSFET as switching devices. Switch is controlled by the control circuit IC 4047CDwith a frequency of 33 kHz at a duty cycle of 50%. The comparison of coils on the flyback transformer used is 1:75. The resulting plasma will be applied in producing a layer of graphene from coconut shell carbon waste. Plasma is raised with rod electrodes and plate electrodes. The test carried out with variations in inverter h-bridge input voltage.. For Variations in inverter inputvoltage used are 10, 12.5, 15 and 17,5 V. The test results showed that variations in inverter h-bridge input voltage could affect theamount of plasma produced, and plasma also affects the yield of decomposed carbon materials with high voltage plasma produced 1,40 kV and 2,57 kV at a distance between electrodes 5 mm.Keywords : Flyback Transformers, Half Bridge, Plasma, Graphene.
