Abstract

The system piping is a system that is used to distribute the fluid in the form of a substance of liquid or gas from one point to multiple points more to distance the relatively long. By because it’s, various types of damage that can occur in the system piping becomes important to be studied and prevented. Prevention of damage, be it leaks or blockages, is very important because it can reduce the number of losses both to the economy, the natural environment, and even loss of life. In this study, a method was developed to detect damage to pipes using sound signals. The detection of damage to the plumbing done by using a signal sounds and four microphones. Methods of signal noise is a smart structural health monitoring that can detect damage at the cost of the more inexpensive. Excitation noise is given by using a loudspeaker and the response signal noise is sampled using four microphones that are connected to the PC- Oscilloscope which serves to convert the signal analog results of recording sound into a signal of digital form of the value of domains of time and then use a Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) to determine the location of the damage that occurs in the pipe sheath. To detect the location of pipe damage in various positions of damage, it can be searched by comparing the wavelet coefficient of the four microphones. Abstract

Document digitalization is expected in this modern era. However, there are so many positive and negative impacts caused by document digitalization. One of the negative impacts of digitizing documents is the high number of cheating cases in the assignment made by students. For that so, a solution to this high number of cheating cases needs to be found. Detection of the similarity of documents is one of many solutions to find out student fraud in doing the assignment. To find out the level of document similarity, a system that can detect the similarity of documents needs to be made. String matching is a method that is quite often used in building a system that can detect the level of similarity of documents. To ensure that the system has a good accuracy, several stages of testing the system need to be carried out. In this study, testing was carried out using three student assignments documents as the test data by detecting the level of similarity between each document. After several testing stages, the result shows that the highest similarity percentage is at 75.89% from comparing documents assignment one and assignment two, while the lowest similarity percentage is at 34.81% from comparing documents assignment three and assignment 1.Keyword: Similarity, String Matching, Assignments Documents.

Abstract

The Indragiri Hulu watershed often experiences floods. This flood is caused by the overflow of the Indragiri river during the rainy season. This flooding is also caused by developments in land use change. This condition can threaten the existence of communities around the river area. The purpose of this study was to analyze the value of Vegetation Closure Percentage (PPV) in the upstream river of Indragiri at Lubuk Ambacang Station. The analysis was carried out using a Geographic Information system by digitizing the existing land classes in the Upper Indragiri Basin at the Lubuk Ambacang Station using data obtained from satellite imagery. The results showed that the PPV value in 2018 was equal to 81.48% and the watershed was included in good sabbath conditions. This is caused by watershedIndragiri upstream of Lubuk ambacang station which is dominated by land class with a percentage of 62.11%.Keyword:Vegetation Closure Percentage, Landuse, Indragiri Watershed, GIS

Abstract

Dielectric barrier discharge technology is widely used in various area as a technology for producing electric plasma. One of the uses of dielectric barrier discharge is to produce ozone. The dielectric barrier discharge configuration consists of two electrodes flanking two dielectrics, air dielectric and solid dielectric. Dielectric discharge occurs in the air gap called plasma. The resulting plasma is not only affected by discharge equipment, but can also be affected by external field effects such as UAV radiation and magnetic fields. This study uses a four position permanent magnet on the dielectric barrier discharge with the magnets located on the top and bottom sides of the electrodes as well as the right and left side of the air gap with three variations of magnetic conditions, namely variation I (Conditions of top and bottom magnet attraction and magnet attraction right and left), variation II (Conditions of top and bottom magnet attraction and repulsion of right and left magnet), variation III (Conditions of top and bottom magnet repulsion and attraction of right and left magnet). The research results showed the highest intensity in variation I. Discharge current obtained from testing was the variation I is greater than variation II and variation III. The results of testing the concentration of ozone dielectric barrier discharge four positions found that the highest ozone concentration in variation I while the lowest ozone concentration in variation III. Abstract

The additional load that occurs in medium voltage feeders due to load growth that occurs over time results in the electrical system being no longer by its original design or even experiencing a decrease in performance. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the performance of the medium voltage feeder gradually. In analyzing the performance of a medium voltage feeder, the approach method is a method that can be used to calculate the voltage drop. the calculation of the voltage drop using the approach method is carried out by modeling the distribution of the load contained in the feeder, then calculating the voltage drop based on the load distribution model contained in the feeder. Based on the results of the calculation of the voltage drop using the approach method carried out on the gurami, salmon, and lele feeder at Garuda Sakti Substation, the voltage drop values obtained are 432.2 V on the gurami feeder, 1,160.2 V on the salmon feeder, and 1,134.7 V on the lele feeder. The calculation results are then compared with the simulation results of Etap 16.0, which has a voltage drop of 422 V on the gurami feeder, 1,206 V on the salmon feeder and 1,096 V on the lele feeder. The comparison results show that the error between the calculation of the voltage drop using the approximation method and the simulation results of Etap 16.0 is 2.41% on the gurami feeder, 3.76% on the salmon 3.53% on the lele feeder.Keyword: medium voltage feeder, load distribution model, voltage drop

Abstract

Spent Bleaching Earth (SBE) is a solid waste generated in the stages of the process of purification of oil in the vegetable oil industry, while the Spent mushroom substrate (SMS) is one of the waste biomass resulting from the production of mushrooms. The second material is the waste that has been tdik used anymore, and if not used back can cause environmental pollution. This study aims to determine the functional groups of the composite adsorbent using the method of FTIR spectra with the variation of the composition of the SBE-SMS 25: 75 %. Composite that has been made then were characterized by the methods of FTIR to analyze the cluster function. FTIR analysis of the composite adsorbent after the test FTIR known to the presence of hydroxyl group (O-H), cluster C=O (ketone, amide, ester, carboxyl and aromatic compounds), phosphate groups (P-OH), a cluster of aluminum silica (Si-O-Al) and cluster siloxane (Si-O-Si).Key words: Composite, FTIR, Spent Bleaching Earth, And Spent Mushroom Substrate.

Abstract

Chitin is poly (2-acetamido-2-deoxy-β(1,4)-D-glucopyranose). Chitin can be isolated through several stages of chitin powder production, demineralization stage and bleaching stage. The purpose of this study is to learn the effect of concentration of sodium hydroxide and temperature in the process of chitin powder production, analyze chitin by using FTIR (Fourier Transform Infrared) spectrophotometer and determining moisture content, ash content and yield. The research procedure begins with crab shell waste size reduction into a powder size. The process of chitin powder production was carried out using concentration of NaOH variations (2.5%, 3.5% and 4.5%) and temperature (550C, 650C dan 750C), the ratio of 1:10 (w/v) for 2 hours and stirring speed 150 rpm, then demineralization process using HCl 1.5 N, the ratio of 1:15 (w/v) for 1 hour and stirring speed 150 rpm, then bleaching process using 4% NaOCl, the ratio of 1:15 (w/v) for 1 hour. The results showed that the higher concentration of NaOH and temperature, the yield, the water content and the resulting ash content were lower at 4.5% NaOH concentration and 750C at 15.54%, 4.13% and 0.5%. Based on the results of the obtained FTIR showed that the residue from isolation was chitin.Keywords: bleaching, crab shells, demineralization, FTIR, chitin.

Abstract

Hydroxyapatite is a crystalline molecule composed of phosphorus and calcium with the molecular formula Ca10 (PO4) 6 (OH) 2. Synthetic hydroxyapatite is known as one of the important implant materials because it has bioactive, biocompatible and osteoconductive properties that chemically resemble the mineral components of bones and teeth, so that it can be used as a substitute for human hard tissue. In this study hydroxyapatite synthesized from PCC coral reef using precipitation method with variations in pH (9, and 11) and Ca / P mole ratio (1.60; 1.67; 1.70; 1.77 and 1.80). The hydroxyapatite obtained was then analyzed by XRD and SEM analysis. Abstract

This study examined the compressive strength and porosity of PCC concrete and POFA concrete with the addition of silica fume soaked in peat water. POFA is used as a cement substitute with variations of 0% and 20% and the addition of silica fume is 10%. The design compressive strength is 20 MPa. Treatment of the specimens was carried out in normal water for 28 days and then immersed in peat water for 0, 7 and 28 days. The results of testing the compressive strength of concrete at 28 days of immersion in peat have increased 16.73% with 29.24 MPa in PCC concrete, 29.49% with 32.69 MPa in POFA 0% concrete and 17.58% with 25.77 MPa in POFA 20% concrete. The porosity value of PCC concrete at 28 days of peat decreased by 6.55%. A decrease in porosity values also occurred in POFA 0% concrete and POFA 20% concrete by 20% and 26.78% at 28 days of peat. Based on the test results, it can be concluded that replacing cement with POFA and adding silica fume to concrete has a positive impact on the compressive strength and porosity of concrete in peat water. Abstract

Natuna Dormitory is a dormitory inhabited by students who came from Natuna Regency. Natuna hostel is located on Jalan Bangun Karya in Pekanbaru-Riau Province. The payment system at Natuna Dormitory is still manual, which is using a notebook, so there is often a writing error in payment, if using a risk book that will lose a notebook so that payment data will be lost, for this reason an information system is made namely the Payment Information System Web Based Board Fee. On this system the programming language used in the design of this system is, Hypertext Preprocessor(PHP), Hypertext Markup Language(HTML), JavaScript(JS), My Structured Query Language(MySQL). Waterfall Method used in this research is a systematic and sequential model of information system development. Waterfall Method has stages that are carried out sequentially. Results of this research is a Payment Information System that can facilitate administrators in the payment process, a payment receipt for every tenant, monthly report for owner of Natuna Dormitory. There is also another feature system such us SMS Gateway for sending SMS notifications to every tenant 3 days before payment, payment due and late payment. In this system, payment is made by entering the tenant's name and the number of months to be paid, then printing a payment receipt to be provided to the tenant. On the other side, payment record will be sent into a monthly report of the owner of Natuna Dormitory. Keywords: Information Systems, Payment, Programming Languages, Waterfall Methods.
